Mazatlan does a great job at showing its true authenticity through their food and ambiance! Our server Hans provided amazing service throughout our entire meal. For drinks we ordered the piña agua fresca and it was perfect.. not too sweet. For food, we ordered the bean and cheese burrito, tacos al carbon, and tacos mexicano (not pictured). The portion size is huge! At its price point, you are definitely getting a bang for your buck. I ordered both the burrito and the tacos mexicano thinking that the burrito was going to be small, but I was so wrong lol. No complaints though! If you are needing your mexican food fix, come here! Plus, my boyfriend really enjoyed their playlist HAHA read more

Came across this restaurant & decided to check it out since it's close to where we are staying. We aren't locals, visiting from Vegas. Little hole in the wall place, & I LOVED it. Service was great, drinks were yummy, ambiance was cute, loved the mariachi. Food did take awhile to come out, BUT it was delicious & the portion was enough to share. Ordered the mocajete, & it was perfect to share. Only downfall was the Carne Asada was very tough, everything else was delicious. It gets busy, so prepare for a little wait if not timed well. I'd come back when I'm in town! read more

Was greeted warmly. Service was great the and the chip n dip was very good. Waiters was very good check on us many time. What I order I have never eaten before and it was 100% perfect I ate it all. Good and quick service, huge portions, clean, and good fresh salsa! Hot food and served quickly.

We received free chips, mild & less mild salsa and bean dip, which were very good! The servers were very friendly and took care of drink refills very quickly. It took quite awhile for the food to arrive, but was worth the wait! We took home at least 1/2 of our food, lol! read more

Five stars for sure. The Birria taco was SO good. Fantastic fresh chips, great salsa and bean dip. They have Coke products which is a must for us. The service was amazing. Where to begin? From walking in the door to walking out the door was an entire experience like no other. We were a large group with small children so loud and messy, but the staff did not skip a beat. Fast service, fast food and fast beverage refills. The food was amazing. We all asked each other in our group if there was one thing that they did not like and the answer was unanimously no. It hit the spot on all angles. We celebrated for my son's 17th Birthday and they came out with the best birthday serenade and sombrero for my son! If you are in Hurricane, UT you must come eat at Mazatlan and experience for yourself, it will change your life! If I could put six stars I would! Good job to the whole staff!!! Bravo!!! read more

The service was fast and friendly. Chips and 2 kinds of salsa came out immediately. The food was spectacular. We had the table side guacamole and the Pancho Villa Malcajete (enough for 4 people and there were only 2 of us). The drink menu looked amazing. I had the Cadillac Margherita. I wish I lived in Hurricane, UT. I'd be here at least once a month! read more

Typically Yelp reviews steer me in the right direction, but I was take on adventure when arriving with authentic Mexican sounds from a local band, amazing quick service with chips and multiple salsas and bean dip. Service was great with Jose, who kept us laughing, honest with getting our large group of women ready for a space travel to place like no other. I ordered a jalapeño margarita, and thought for sure it will be a basic mix with little margarita taste and watered down jalapeños. It may have been one of the easiest, well balance jalapeño margaritas I've ever had. The timing of our order, and accuracy that Jose had the entire time to make sure our food came out at the same time for a large group, was impressive. Every bite of the Carne Tacos made me dance in my seat with the live music. Very flavorful and tender steak, with fresh ingredients. Best Mexican in Fountain. read more

Very good food at a reasonable price. The margaritas were also tasty! We got seated right away and service was quick and friendly.

We come in to order food to go it smelled horrible in there employees was just sitting around we looked at a menu to see what we wanted to order and the menu was so dirty felt like I don't know what we went ahead and ordered to go and took it home it was probably the worst food we have ever had we were using a Dixie direct spend $20 get $10 off they acted like they didn't want to give us any kind of a discount it took them forever to figure out what they were doing I just feel like the place was very dirty would not recommend at all and the food didn't even taste like anything very very bland it was not worth spending the money we did and getting the $10 off will never go back read more

We came across this place on Father's Day. They had a special live band playing specifically for that. We waited about 20 minutes to be sat which was nice since we had a big party and no reservation. Once inside - it was super loud and being near the door was not the best as lots of sun through the window and people in and out. The servers did a great job getting everyone's orders and bringing things out quickly. I ordered shrimp fajitas. It was a TON of food. My fiancé got a quesadilla and it was humongous! My fajitas were good. I liked the seasoning on the shrimp but felt there was more peppers given than shrimp. The food definitely made up for the chaotic atmosphere. read more

My boyfriend and I dined here after a long day in Zion. The staff and food did not disappoint!

Looking for some Mexican food??? come here!!! I really like this place , I love when a restaurant has photos of their food on the menu. Nowadays they take them out and I have to go on google to search what others posted , to see how it looks, very common in Las Vegas. We ordered the molcajete del patron! Enough for 2 people but more like for 3 people! It was delicious and sooo much flavor! Yum! The horchata was refreshing. Customer service was great everyone was very attentive. The atmosphere had a good vibe . I would highly recommend this place in Hurricane,Utah! read more

We had such a wonderful experience here! The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with great music that added so much to the dining experience without being too loud. As a vegetarian, I was so happy to find plenty of delicious options to choose from--fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The service was absolutely amazing--attentive, kind, and genuinely warm. You can tell the staff takes pride in making guests feel comfortable and cared for. Overall, it was the perfect spot for a fun meal with great food, music, and vibes. Definitely recommend if you're looking for good food and good vibes! Also, make sure you enter the Hurricane location on the GPS unless you're willing to drive to the location in Mexico read more

We came to Zion for a couple of days we ate near the park and man I would've drove to this location to eat everyday of our stay ! It is worth the small drive from the national park the food is amazing! Flavors and the food is top tier compared to anything close to the park ! Service is A1 the vibes are amazing but the food was the best we have had here in Utah coming from California I'd recommend you come a little further out from Zion and eat here ! I can promise you will not regret it better than anything else in the Zion area read more

After a lengthy hike, I was ready for brinner from a nearby diner care, but I let hubby pick & he opted for smothered hearty Mexican food....so we found ourselves at Mazatlan. Easy parking, within a shopping center lot, spacious inside, quick seating, and friendly helpful wait staff- we talked through the overwhelming menu choices -learning just what was the difference between the various specialty plates that all seemed to offer the same exact combinations (specifically the various seafood style dishes)- initially we were going to opt for trying the Charola de Mariscos, but were steered towards the Molcajete Vallarta for a richer, smokier, heartier cook- in addition, we ordered a combination platter (w.chili relleno, pork tamale, & shredded beef enchilada). Molcajete Vallarta-offered seafood variety cooked within a stone urn, paired with veggies-the explained appeal: the food continues to cook whatever remains in the urn as you dine, giving a smokier taste- At $25..meh- though the urn seems stuffed with ingredients- the full shrimp heads took up a lot of space-& the tails were quite tiny so less filling than expected- the dish listed having scallops & octopus, but there was minimal included, instead just an over abundance of vegetables in the middle- not as filling as expected..but I imagine would have been the same woe with our initial idea-as it was more so the combination of ingredients than the specific cook style that left us unimpressed. The combination platter was heartier, but the tamale & enchilada were quite dry, and often between bites I couldn't tell which was which, due to the unseasoned drier meats within & mushy outer coatings- & the chili relleno had very very thick breading- I found myself drowning everything in the refried beans or table green salsa. Best part of the meal were the table chips & salsa- Wouldn't recommend; there are a few eateries nearby with similar dishes, at lower costs I would give a try read more

Food was amazing! Server was very friendly and attentive. And we felt like we were in Mazatlan! (Kidding!)

The service was good. But like they kept forgetting to bringing the rice or the flour tortilla which was mentioned in the menu and they were nice. But I would prefer my food all coming out at once and not be keep asking cause I really felt back of asking my server like does it come with rice and tortilla. Over all it was a nice visit place and the food is pretty affordable. read more

Mazatlan Mexican Grill and Seafood in Hurricane, Utah was NOT something I'd recommend. The red sauce tasted mostly like tomato sauce, the Chile relleno needed to be cut with a knife, and it seemed like it had been reheated. The cheese enchiladas didn't have much cheese and were dry. However, the steak quesadilla was really big, and that was fresh and decent. read more

The food was very mid af. The service was not good took a while to get soup and put water in the pink lemonade. They did make the guacamole in front of you and it was good but unless you really want guacamole don't go. The ambiance was boring just a few pictures on the wall. read more

We were told this was the best Mexican food in the area, so we had to try it, being from CA. My hubby got the birria lunch tacos and they tasted like stew meat in tons of grease on a corn tortilla. The consommé that was served with it, was literally a cup of grease! I ordered the chili verde burrito and it was so tangy. It was mostly filled with beans and rice. The sauce tasted like it came straight from a can. We out the food we didn't finish in a to go container and we literally had to stop at a dumpster on the way home to throw it away. It was smelling so bad. I couldn't drink the margarita either. Service and ambience were good. Hopefully it was just what we ordered. I don't like giving bad reviews. I also don't like spending close to $70 for a lunch that ends up in the dumpster. read more

Such a hidden gem! We finished a hike in Zion and everything closer was closed so we popped in here 30 before closing after calling ahead. They sat us and took all our orders without feeling rushed at all. Their menu has a wide selection of Mexican fares ranging from tacos, enchiladas, moles, various seafood dishes and fajitas. I shared a plate of combo fajitas for two with a friend and we each got a separate plate of side rice, beans, avocados and salads, alongside a massive sizzling plate of chicken and beef fajitas. We also got several fresh corn tortillas that the server happily refilled when we finished. The fajitas were well flavored with ample vegetables and peppers, we were definitely bloated by the time we got down to 1/3 of the dish so it can feed up to 3 hungry hikes. My partner who's Mexican verified that this was a very authentic restaurant. Their service at the end of the day was also spectacular, highly recommended! read more

We came to Hurricane to visit Zion National Park and a couple other places and for our last night here was looking for something good to eat. Mazatlan came up and I can tell you it did NOT disappoint. We got there around 5:30 but it was pretty empty, though by the time we left it started to get a little more busy. The ambience was really nice, the place was clean, there was music, and the decor was interesting to look at. Between the three of us, we ordered the fiesta something (apologies, I don't remember the name). It was DELICIOUS. Honestly, almost like a sampler of food. It had 3 or 4 different meats, rice, onions, peppers, a side of tortillas (flour, corn, or both) and much more. The seasonings and flavors were impeccable and although it came with some sort of sauce or salsa it was most definitely flavorful on its own too. Especially coming from San Diego, I'd say this dish rivals some of the Mexican food I've had there, if not better! The only thing I have to say is towards the last few bites it was a tad bit oily, but other than that it was AMAZING. Also, the staff was wonderful and the service was great. This is most definitely a good place to stop by. read more
