This has become an instant favorite with our family. I tried it for the first time a few months ago and brought my family back while they were in town this week! The service was great on both occasions (I believe our waiter was the same man both times, I wish I'd asked his name so I could mention it)! and the food was delicious both times too!! Things that were ordered were: The tacos Gobernador (chipotle shrimp tacos), huevos rancheros, carne asada plate, chicken flautas, steak burrito, horchata, and a kids meal. Everyone loved their orders. We also loved the complimentary warm chips brought out with salsa and bean dip when you first sit down. You automatically get three stars if you can provide me with a solid batch of chips and salsa, this restaurant not only gave me that but they also sent out some bean dip and made sure my chip basket was never empty. And that's saying something, they must've been watching me like a hawk because I practically inhale those crisps let me tell ya. I got the pork tamale and chicken quesadilla, nothing too special but it certainly was delicious. Mom ordered the chicken quesadilla with white sauce, I got to steal a bite when she wasn't looking, and it was fairly tasty as well. Sister got tacos and totally scarfed them before I even had a chance to see what they looked like. Everything was yummy, typical Mexican food and a solid portion of rice and beans on every plate to help fill in all your nooks and crannies. We were the only ones in the restaurant and were treated fine. It took quite a while for the waitress to get our order, I'm not sure if they mixed up who was in charge of our section but we waited probably 10 minutes before finally flagging someone down. We were occasionally we were stranded without beverages and had to keep asking our waiter for refills, too, but overall a fine experience! We ordered take out. For the sum of $15 (!), I had 1piece of battered fish in a soggy tortilla. There was no seasoning, a spoonful of both rice and refried beans. The food was good. We have been a few times. The issue is that we were charged for 6 margaritas when we ordered 4... it makes me wish we went somewhere else for my birthday. I wanted to celebrate but instead we had to wait for over 30 mins for our second round of drinks and then got charged for 3 rounds. Then when we brought it up with the server he laughed at us. We then pointed to the 4 drinks still on the table and said no we had one while we waited and then another one each that came AFTER we were done eating. Even though we ordered it when the food came. The issue wasn't the wait for the drinks. The issue is trying to charge us for something we didn't order/receive and then laughing at us like we are drunk and didn't realize... Well I'm not drunk off of 1.5 margaritas when you dropped the bill and I DEFINITELY don't appreciate being laughed at. While we had gone many times. I think we will never go back again. I'll gladly go to ANY OTHER Mexican place in town and make margaritas at home if I had to to avoid being charged for things I didn't order/receive. WATCH YOUR BILL YALL. If you are ordering for pickup from this location be cautious. I have been here few dozen times or the last couple of years. The food is generally descent. The customer service is hit or miss. During the middle of the week Maria works at the front counter takes the orders and makes sure you get them and is very pleasant to deal with. When she is not their a younger girl who is kind of rude mumbles and has consistently screwed up our order. Failed to ring it up correctly always forget to add the soft tortillas that go with our order. Tonight we went to pick up our food Friday night. We usually avoid Fridays because we know that's when this young girl is there. When we got there she said somebody already picked up our order. We asked them to have it remade she said ok. But then the guy returned with the wrong order after 15 minutes or longer. She took the bag back to the kitchen let it set for another 5 minutes and the brought it out. I know it was not remade because we live less then 5 minutes away and the food was all cold not even Luke warm. They should be reported to the health department for unsafe food handling. Though the colors are in the warm hues, the tiled restaraunt with ample room booths, chairs and tables is cool. Again the food is warm and ample. I have never had so much great, lean pulled pork in a Taco/Tortilla (red) Salad as I had tonight. The service was professional and almost over the top attentive. There weren't too many people there which is attributed to the heat wave we are experiencing in this area this July. Having eaten in Mexican restaurants all over the nation and hailing from Tucson, Arizona where the South 4th Avenue tortilla factories, Carnicerias and restaurant are authentic, my husband and I rate Don Pedro's the BEST! I recently visited this restaurant for take out food. My wife went in, ordered, and came back to the car to wait for our order. While we waited I watched three groups of 3-7 people walk into the restaurant without masks, even though there is a state-wide mask mandate. When the food was ready we picked it up and drove 35 miles home. I've eaten at table at this restaurant in the past and though the food is fairly average, the portions were large. Our take out orders were quite small and some of the order had been left out. I know things are hard during Covid but this is the time to make sure you get it right so your customers will want to return. There are many restaurants in the area doing a fantastic job and those are the ones I'll patronize. read more

Over the last few years the Green Valley location has declined in the customer service department. We opted to try the Washington location about a month ago and we're so happy to find that their customer service is exceptional! Tonight was worse, we order two house margaritas and a appetizer plate that took well over 35 minutes to get to our table and it was cold, the tortillas were dry. On our way back to Vegas from Zion National Park and decided it was time for a late lunch. Pulled off the freeway via the Green Springs exit. It was Sunday and a lot of places are closed in suburban St. George, but this restaurant was open and busy. I'm guessing this location of Don Pedro's is fairly new in this center, near Auto Zone. We ordered the Carne Asada platter and the Chile Rellenos/Beef Chalupa combo. Also grabbed an ice cold Modelo, which I was surprised we could have in Utah on a Sunday. I must be thinking back to the "old days" when alcoholic beverages weren't available in certain counties on Sundays. The chile rellenos were amazingly yummy. The shredded beef chalupa was really good and it was also huge, larger than my hubby's hands. Wow! The two large pieces of carne asada were nicely grilled, but just a little chewy and could have used a touch more seasoning in the marinade. The refried beans and rice were tasty, as was the salsa and chips. Long story short--food was good, service prompt and prices reasonable.
