Pad Thai is on point. Great place and atmosphere to dine in and good for pick up too. Very reasonably priced.

Finally, a GREAT Thai restaurant in Baltimore. I moved to Baltimore a couple years ago and been searching for a decent Thai place in this city to fix my craving for my home food. I love love love this place for their authentic Thai dishes (FYI, I'm a native Thai). =)ow, I don't have to drive all the way down to Springfield,VA to get my Thai food craving fixed anymore. Personally, I'm really picky with my Pad Thai...Although it's a really common dish that you can get from a food cart/street vendor/hole in a wall cafe almost everywhere in Thailand, it's not that easy to find a good one. And Mayuree Thai happens to know how to cook perfect Pad Thai....(Their Pad Thai is as good as the good one I could get back home...and it's really that good). Their Pad See Eew is also very delicious. They somehow manage to get that burnt flavor/aroma without burning the noodles which is how good pad see eew is supposed to be. Bravo!!!! I'm also a big fan of their Thai salads....love their Larb Kai (ground chicken salad), Nam Tok (Spicy steak salad), and their papaya salad.....I always pair one of these salads with some sticky rice and it magically fix my Thai food craving. =) I wish we lived in the neighborhood that we could walk to this place as parking is difficult in this area. But that doesn't stop me to go get my yummy Thai food......Sometimes, we have to park all the way up on Boston St. and walk to the restaurant but it's really worth it. I've had Thai food in several cities around the world (sadly, not in Thailand yet) and this is hands down the best tasting Thai food I've ever had. I've been here maybe half a dozen times and ordered a different dish every time. The complexity and subtlety of flavors I have never experienced at a Thai restaurant on this level. ¡And they have a full bar! I just ordered from Mayuree and I want to say A) Delivery was fast! Too fast for me, I thought it would be much longer based on previous reviews and wasn't quite out of my pajamas when they arrived. B) The portions are not too small. These portions are plentiful, they are enough to satisfy but aren't huge over the top American portions. My boyfriend and I ordered three dishes to share - Pad thai with chicken, drunken noodles with tofu, and Pad see u with chicken. I think the Pad thai is hands down the best of the three - the drunken noodles has good flavor but I agree with the comments that its not thhhaaatt spicy as you would want in this dish and bordering on oily. Unlike most pad thai you get this one is interesting, the noodles aren't a clumpy mess, and there are many layers of flavors. The Pad see u was honestly just too sweet for me, but my boyfriend enjoyed it a lot. I have tried a lot of bad thai food since moving to Baltimore and this is so far the best I have had here. It would be one of the more middle tier/ mediocre selections in New York but here in Baltimore this is possibly the best you are going to get. Will definitely be ordering the pad thai again and maybe next time we will try the Panang curry. read more

Wife & I ate here last night. We both ordered the green curry & round of Duckpins (on draft). The beers came out fast but we ended up waiting almost an hour for some of the worst curry we've ever had. The eggplant was actually raw, it was really rather bland, and the portion size was small. My wife mentioned the uncooked eggplant to the server when he asked about our meals and he actually said "you mean you don't like it crunchy?" Wow. They offered to fix it but frankly we didn't feel like waiting another hour for them to muck it up some more. At that point, we just wanted to eat & get out of there. They didn't even offer to comp anything. Not quite sure what is happening with this place. We tried it about 1 to 2 months after they opened & thought it was OK (maybe 3-star) but decided to try it again after seeing lots of good reviews on yelp. We saw other folks there that were definitely happy with their meals, and they were not particularly crowded (about half-full @ 7:45pm when we arrived). But they totally didn't have it together last night for us. So spin the wheel and take your chances if you dare. read more

Was in town for a tradeshow and stayed in an airbnb close by. Stopped in for dinner. Highly recommend the duck soup. I sat at the bar and talked with the bartender / owner's son, who is really awesome. It is apparently a family recipe and I think it was absolutely delicious (not fatty at all which you might expect with duck). Also just a cool/chill space. My god was this bad. I tried the drunken noodles a few months back and they were just okay. I decided to give them another try and get the red curry bowl. So close to four stars. Most dishes are prepared well with great taste however there is always one that is disappointing - this time it was the Pad Thai. We have ordered from here a few times and I have finally decided to give up. I can't say the food is bad...it's not. It's mostly just over priced and pretty measley for what you pay for it. Ordering a $15 meal and having four tiny chunks of beef, a potato and some carrots floating in your curry broth is kind of disappointing. Definitely not bad food, but you can't leave without feeling like you just had your wallet pilfered. Likewise, no one was very understanding when I brought this up to them. I only thing I hate about this place is that its not in DC! Seriously, great food for a fair price. The place seems hip enough for today's generation but authentic enough to please thai foodies. We had the late night menu, but it was still good, especially the spicy chicken wings and dumplings. The tom yum noodle soup was good too. If I could give 10 stars I would. I have ordered from here using Grubhub. It was my first experience with Thai and by far, it was the most amazing. I have now ordered from here three times and each time it is better and better. I have gone to a Thai restaurant and picked up food and it is not the same. I recently went and sat down in the establishment on Saturday. And even then, everything was amazing. Customer service was great. Food was even better in the restaurant. This is, by far, my favorite Thai place in Baltimore. For some reason, I occasionally branch out and try other Thai places and am always wishing I hadn't and just stuck with Mayuree Thai! I often get the tofu drunken noodles and the ingredients are fresh, light and perfectly cooked. Their spring rolls and crab and cheese wontons are also good additions if you're a little hungrier. This is a long review, so please bear with me. We have ordered take out food three times from Mayuree Thai Tavern. The first time - druken noodles with tofu and vegetables were really good. The second time I ordered pad thai with soft tofu and requested for extra broccoli. They charged me $3 extra for the broccoli, but even with $13, the dish was really, really good. Medium spicy with a beet salad on the side - amazing! This evening, husband ordered pad thai tofu with medium spicy and red curry. The red curry was really good and came with red rice. The pad thai was very disappointing - small portion, swimming in oil, and no spice whatsoever. There were no vegetables either. I called Mayuree and explained that for $10 the pad thai was terrible and not at all what I expected based on previous experience. The individual I spoke with apologized, but did not offer to fix it. When I asked what they were going to do to fix it, he handed the phone to a manager. Spoke with the manager who then handed the phone to a lady. I explained the third time what the situation was and she apologized. She offered to make us a new pad thai if we went back to the restaurant. I requested that the new food be delivered and she agreed. 20 minutes later, the new pad thai was at our house. It was great - still not as good as what I had gotten a few days back, but still really good! Will definitely be back again for the good food and great service! read more

Well, ummm, unfortunately I'm not a part of the 5 star fan base. I was super, duper excited about finding Thai food in the Canton area and circled blocks for at least 15 minutes before I found a place to park my car. Finally I was inside and decided to place my order to go. Now, they don't have an extensive menu but they had vegetarian options. However, I wanted Massaman curry but that dish is only offered with beef. I went with the red curry. Often times Thai restaurants give the option for tofu or vegetables. I really didn't want tofu but when I requested to replace the tofu with extra vegetables I was informed that I must order tofu or no protein. Whatevs, I just had the curry with vegetables. I also ordered the springs rolls. Here's the verdict, I was not hype like the reviews for Mayuree. The curry was more like a soup and I received about 1/4 cup of rice. I just dumped the rice in my bowl and consumed my food with a spoon. Those springs rolls were meh. In the future, I'll keep in mind that perhaps I ordered the wrong dish because the reviews are so f'n awesome or the veg options aren't that great. I think I will give this place another shot with a different dish but the red curry was ok. read more

Mayuree Thai Tavern is located in a residential neighborhood and it was actually rather difficult to find parking, particularly for a late night meal because all of the residents and families in the area were home. Once we found a spot along the park, we walked a few blocks to the restaurant and grabbed seats at the bar since it appeared as if the seating area was empty and we did not want to be the only ones. The environment is interesting because it definitely had that tavern feel and I do not know if I have ever been to a Thai tavern before. The restaurant is three levels and it would appear the lower level was kind of a hangout area with a television with the game on and a poo table but I did not actually venture done there. The middle level is where the bar was located and the top level was the dining room. I started with the papaya salad, which tasted fresh but it had a little bit too much chili lime dressing. I was a bit disappointed that they did not have fried rice but the chicken dish that the bartender recommended was good. My friend was also sad that they did not have mango with sticky rice because mangos were not quite in season yet. Overall, this was an acceptable dining experience but there is definitely room for improvement due to our needs during our visit. read more

Tried ordering and after an hour, tried calling them to see what the status was - they told me 15 more minutes to finish preparing the food. Half an hour later, called them again since I saw that the food had not left the restaurant yet and the food was still not made.
