This is from my personal experience and it blew my mind, how amazing the owners of this establishment are and the quality of the food! My wife and I were looking for a Korean catering company for our wedding reception and we originally leaned towards BanChan Catering in Koreatown. However, in the process of getting options and estimates, we held off on it and looked elsewhere. We were able to find Matchon within days and decided to stop by the store. The owners here are a Korean couple that have been in this industry for over two decades and the food is made with love and quality --- they strive for tastiness partnered by healthiness. The store is located inside of a plaza building so it may be hard to find from the outside but once you park in the address listed, go inside the building and you will find alongside other shops. I saw that Matchon was listed as a catering service on Waze, so I decided to call and confirm their business hours and whether they also operate as a restaurant with dining space. A woman answered the phone, but she didn't speak any English. I tried asking simple questions like, 'What are your business hours?' and 'Can customers dine in?' but she just responded, 'No English,' and hung up on me. I have been getting the lunch box catering delivered to my work from this place and I have to say they are not bad... But at the same time, it's not the best either. LOL For the convenience and the moderate price (currently $9 + tax) for a delivered meal, I can't complain. I would really like the food to be delivered HOT.... Food is really clean and tasty, yet I could really tell they don't use any bad msg. I tried their catering lunch box through my work, and I loved all their food so far! The ingredients are really fresh and well cooked. If you're Korean, you would be able to tell the chef of this place is someone who knows the authentic flavor of Korean dishes. Our company ordered lunch catering and its already over a year. Overall, the food is perfect. Honestly every company have there own lunchtime and it might be getting cold but honestly not in my office though. It is not super HOT HOT but it is ok. But the food quality is very good and much better than other korean catering. So I ordered catering for my family event and no regret. Not that Great Customer Service. Wait time is really High for fast food service. My family waited for more than 40+ minutes for our food to be served. I really wouldn't come here again. This was the second time I came here for Korean food, but since they have a high volume of catering service. They don't have a lot of time for their customers right off the bat. Food tastes decent, but once again I won't come back unless I have too. Price approximately in the range of $7-$14 bucks per meal. Being Korean myself, I'm very picky when it comes to korean food. If it doesn't taste similar to my mom or grandmas, I usually don't enjoy it. This place not only has authentic Korean food but the owner and workers are perfect examples of Korean hospitality. People view asians as being rude, snappy people but coming here I guarantee you that your views will change. I ordered the pork cutlet and spicy stew with pork rib and potato, and my god... Couldn't finish of course but took some to go to enjoy later. You will not regret coming here. Matchon - Biggest variety of Korean food I've seen in awhile!! - Korean Near Me - Norwalk, California

Their pork cutlet is a little different from other places. They serve it covered with sauce, instead of on the side. The sauce tasted like 'sweet and sour pork sauce' from Chinese restaurant. Next time, I'll ask for the sauce on the side. That way, I can really enjoy the crispy pork cutlet until the last bite! They had a 40+ items on the menu. The service was very attentive and friendly. This Korean restaurant is in the same plaza as Luxor Music Studio and the Pioneer Spa, which makes it easily accessible after one of those activities. The plaza itself is usually pretty dead for some reason, and I don't see people in these restaurants, so I was pretty skeptical. However, my family was tired from our NRB session and decided to try out this place. They had a pretty diverse menu, all ranging from around $7, save for one or two specials. I saw udon was $5 and kind of wanted to try it, but we just split a tonkatsu plate and a silver... something... fish plate, which was a bit pricier. To my surprise, the servings were HUGE! The food was delicious. I'm a fan of their tonkatsu sauce, which is different from other restaurants. It's... lighter, I guess. The fish was delicious with the rice too. You could either eat in the store or out at one of the tables in the plaza (I saw them bringing food to a man outside). I don't know why more people don't come eat here! Maybe it's because it's hidden inside a plaza building with "Pioneer Spa" at the entrances... To find it, park in the plaza and go into the entrance with the "Pioneer Spa" sign overhead. good place to go to grab lunch. many korean dishes as well as ddokbokgi and korean style pork cutlet. ddokbokgi was good and korean style pork cutlet, I would say this is the best korean style pork cutlet. It's even much better than the one from k-town plaza food court. If you are fan of korean style pork cutlet you should give it a try. Guess this place own and run my family member. Seems like mother (the owner) is always there and time to time her son or daughter will be there to help. kids are little shy but still attentive and nice. read more
