    catering lunchbox for work
    Kaylie C.

Food is really clean and tasty, yet I could really tell they don't use any bad msg. I tried their catering lunch box through my work, and I loved all their food so far! The ingredients are really fresh and well cooked. If you're Korean, you would be able to tell the chef of this place is someone who knows the authentic flavor of Korean dishes. It's also really clean and warm too. Highly recommended if you are looking for a catering place near OC!

Biggest variety of Korean food I've seen in awhile!!
    Philip K.

Being Korean myself, I'm very picky when it comes to korean food. If it doesn't taste similar to my mom or grandmas, I usually don't enjoy it. This place not only has authentic Korean food but the owner and workers are perfect examples of Korean hospitality. People view asians as being rude, snappy people but coming here I guarantee you that your views will change. I ordered the pork cutlet and spicy stew with pork rib and potato, and my god... Couldn't finish of course but took some to go to enjoy later. You will not regret coming here. For you boring people who stick with the same food every single day, eating microwave lasagna and meatloaf, get off your couch and try this place out!

    Huge pork cutlet
    jeannie c.

Their pork cutlet is a little different from other places. They serve it covered with sauce, instead of on the side. The sauce tasted like 'sweet and sour pork sauce' from Chinese restaurant. Next time, I'll ask for the sauce on the side. That way, I can really enjoy the crispy pork cutlet until the last bite! They had a 40+ items on the menu. The service was very attentive and friendly. I will definitely go back to try other items!

The workers are very nice and the food is great, especially the donkatsu! Our family usually comes at least once a month!

It has been transformed…read moreinto one of the area's premier destinations for authentic Korean comfort food, embracing the traditions of slow-cooked, homestyle recipes passed down through generations. Every dish reflects a dedication to Korean culinary heritage, arriving at the table bubbling, sizzling, and steaming with irresistible aromas. Step inside and you are welcomed by the comforting scent of toasted sesame, simmering garlic, and richly fermented broths that instantly make you feel at home. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and unpretentious, capturing the feeling of gathering around a family dinner table. The menu celebrates soulful Korean classics with bold fermented flavors, slow-simmered stews, casseroles, salad wrap combinations, noodle dishes, and grilled fish, alongside shareable favorites like Korean chive pancakes, seafood pancakes, and abalone porridge. Every meal begins with one of the best complimentary spreads of banchan in town. The assortment is vibrant, tangy, spicy, and refreshingly diverse, featuring dishes that are increasingly difficult to find at many Korean restaurants. Our table included a variety of namul (seasoned vegetables), steamed eggplant, creamy Korean potato salad, japchae, and wonderfully fresh kimchi. Each side dish provided its own balance of flavor and texture while perfectly complementing both steamed rice and the main courses. **Dwaeji Bossam (Steamed Pork with Napa Cabbage) + Doenjang Jjigae (Soybean Paste Stew) Combo, plus banchan - $45.99** The bossam showcases beautifully prepared pork belly that is incredibly moist, tender, and melt-in-your-mouth rich without any unwanted pork odor. Thin slices of pork are elegantly arranged like ribbons and served alongside an impressive assortment of accompaniments: spicy julienned radish kimchi (musaengchae), sliced raw garlic, fresh jalapeños, ssamjang (sweet and savory fermented soybean chili paste), saeujeot (salted fermented shrimp), carrot and cucumber sticks, crisp green leaf lettuce, and blanched napa cabbage for wrapping. Every condiment serves a purpose. The crunchy radish kimchi cuts through the richness of the pork with bright acidity and spice. The saeujeot delivers an intensely savory burst of umami, while the ssamjang contributes a balanced combination of sweetness, heat, and fermented depth. Wrapped together inside fresh lettuce or tender napa cabbage, every bite becomes an explosion of contrasting textures and harmonious flavors. The accompanying doenjang jjigae is equally satisfying. The fermented soybean paste creates a deep, aged savoriness that is rich yet mellow, supported by anchovy stock, garlic, and just enough heat from sliced jalapeños. A slightly thickened broth envelopes silky tofu, tender zucchini, onions, and potatoes, creating one of Korean cuisine's most comforting stews. **Eun Daegu Jorim (Braised Black Cod) - $48.99** The braised black cod is another standout. Buttery, flaky pieces of fish are gently simmered in a glossy reduction that perfectly balances savory, sweet, spicy, and umami flavors. Thick chunks of radish slowly absorb the rich braising liquid until they become almost as satisfying as the fish itself. Just before serving, the dish is finished with freshly diced green onions that contribute brightness and a subtle bite to this deeply comforting classic. Service deserves special recognition. Every member of the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. My family felt immediately at ease from the moment we walked through the door. The servers anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, quietly refilling water glasses and clearing finished plates with thoughtful timing. What impressed me most was the kindness they showed my mother, treating her with genuine warmth, sincere compliments, and the type of hospitality that made us feel less like customers and more like welcomed guests in someone's home. This restaurant beautifully showcases everything that makes Korean comfort food so beloved: slow-cooked recipes made entirely from scratch, deeply flavorful stews, generous portions, exceptional banchan, and heartfelt hospitality. Between the authentic homestyle cooking, robust flavors, and caring service, it has quickly become one of the finest places in the area to experience the warmth and comfort of traditional Korean cuisine.

This location has served cold noodle soup (mulnaengmyun) all the years we have come. The most recent owner is also female, and her kitchen and front end staff are all female. By far, this serves the best cold noodle soup and thin chewy buckwheat noodles. The hot summer days certainly bring in a crowd! The side dishes or banchan change frequently, my favorites are the tomato and apple, onion and parsley plus the house made kimchi. Occasionally they have the white or non spicy kimchi which is so delicious and refreshing. We often get the combo cold noodle with beef bulgogi (thin sliced marinated beef) or kalbi (LA style short rib sliced across and marinated then grilled). Love the bossam plate :boiled pork belly served with vegetables for wrapping. Also good is the marinated chicken & veggie wraps combo. The gamjeatang or pork spare rib spicy stew if full of tender pork and stewed vegetables, that I feel is a healthy alternative to the grilled meats. The boochoo neon (I hope I spelled that correctly) or chive pancake is done so well here: tender and crispy on the edges. Great for sharing as an appetizer. They also have a barley dish that is mostly vegetarian with spicy sauce. Very glad they are open daily and until 9 pm (last call is about 830). Many families and golf buddies or business partners frequent the place. Quiet, thankfully has A/C cranked to cold most year round, so you can enjoy your meal in comfort. The manager (Joy) and servers are unfailingly quiet and priced excellent service.

Unfortunately, my experience has been different with one of the night employees, a tall gentleman. On multiple occasions, he has come across as rude and often stays in the back without acknowledging customers, even when you're clearly trying to get his attention for assistance. It can make the experience feel unwelcoming. Overall, I still highly recommend this place because the food is excellent. I just hope management can address the inconsistency in customer service so every visit is as enjoyable as the food.
