I DoorDashed matcha magic Bellevue and the matcha was incredibly mid. I ordered the toast flight which was good, but the marshmallow matcha just had an unpleasant taste. Barely any marshmallow flavor, matcha flavor was watered down.

One of my go to matcha spots on the eastside. Obsessed with the interior and how every corner is a photo opportunity. Appreciate that they offer multiple types of dairy alternative milks. I wasn't sure if I should get a sweetener with my Matcha and appreciated the staff's advice when I asked and very glad I listened to them because my drink was definitely better with the sweetener in it.

MATCHA MAGIC @ BELLEVUE Parking is a bit difficult here since it's right off the main road in Downtown Bellevue, so it's mostly street parking. Luckily, I was able to find a spot. Most street parking is free for up to 2 hours. I'd also recommend parking by Macy's and walking about 10 minutes to the matcha place (you'll pass the park), or parking near Bellevue Downtown Park, though that area can get very busy. I ordered two items through my ClassPass account, which cost me 11 credits (about $25 total). I got the Strawberry Matcha and their Banana Split Açaí Bowl, which has a coconut and açaí base with honey, cacao nibs, banana, strawberries, granola, and honey. The açaí bowl was $14, and the matcha was around $8. Overall, I absolutely loved the matcha. It was strong on the matcha flavor and lighter on the strawberry, but still very delicious and clearly high quality. The açaí bowl was a miss for me, I've definitely had better quality with more toppings for $14. That said, it was decent, and I really enjoyed the coconut base since it felt light and refreshing. I wouldn't recommend getting this however. Overall, I loved the vibe of this place. It's very spacious, and I'd definitely come back for the matcha and to get some work done. I'd also love to try their shakes next, they look incredible.

So happy to finally try here! And again I should temper my expectations... As part of my early birthday celebration, my friend and I came here around 12pm after a meal elsewhere to give this place a shot. It's pretty chill inside, with several tables near the entrance and near the counter where drinks are made. There's even a table near the back entrance where you can sit at as well. The pink walls and several neon lights with funny quotes add a cutesy picturesque feel especially when you get to sit inside. Though I used street parking near the Downtown Bellevue Park, you can actually utilize the small parking lot right next to this place to get 1 hour free parking if needed. This location specializes in drinks made with matcha in many ways, which was pretty appealing to me and my friend to the point where we had a hard time deciding what we each wanted. I ended up getting the purple rain, which has lavender, ube puree, oat milk as a default and matcha sweet cream. This was delicious, and the matcha undertones were perfectly strong and floral throughout. I will say that the ube and lavender mix ever so slightly overpowers the drink when mixing the whole thing, so I'd probably not stir the drink the whole way and try to get sips of both the matcha and ube separately to get a feel of how powerful each part is individually. My friend got their matcha horchata, and unfortunately he was disappointed with his drink overall. Ironically, the matcha overpowered the horchata and the ice in his drink very quickly watered his drink down. It's actually great to know that this place doesn't skimp on their matcha, but there was an imbalance between the matcha and horchata when I had several sips of his drink, especially at the very beginning and the very end where either the matcha or water took over. Despite all this, I'd come back again to try some of their other drinks, and maybe chill there longer for even more photo ops. I'm currently eyeing the cookies and cream matcha for my next visit!

Was looking forward to trying this place but was disappointed. Matcha quality didnt seem very good. Got matcha strawberry latte and it tasted bitter and grainy. Usually , matcha bitterness when its strong is smooth and have a nuttier taste of som sort. This felt bad bitter and adding more sweetener didnt help. Cafe itself has a fun vibe and staff. The options are exciting but I wish it tasted better.

So happy to get a chance to try this place. Parking: free parking validation on the parking lot next door, or free street parking around the area. We tried: Magical pumpkin matcha w oat milk hot Strawberry glaze smoothie Overall, actually really like them. Can taste the pumpkin, and really like creaminess of the matcha, but a tad too sweet for me. As fot the smoothie, it is like a dupe of erawon smoothie, better and cheaper. Service is fast. Seating: plenty indoor only seating. Restroom: require a key from the cashier, go all the way back , follow the directions. Kinda loud to talk. They serve and sell other stuff too such as toast, matcha powder, etc. They are expanding and opening 2 more stores. Will definitely come back for more

Stopped by Matcha Magic and I'd give it a solid 4 stars! I tried the Oreo & matcha mix and while the matcha flavor was a little on the stronger side, you could still taste the cookies & cream which made it pretty tasty overall. My friend got the toasted matchamallow latte--it was okay, nothing too crazy but still fun to try. We also had the house avocado toast, really good toast. The olive oil really compliments the tomatoes and makes the whole bite feel super fresh. All the girlies working there are so sweet, and the cafe itself is the cutest pink vibe. Definitely a good spot for girl dates or just to hang out and sip on something matcha-y!

TLDR: a really cute place with cute interiors and trendy matcha drinks. I really enjoyed my visit. We discovered this spot on ClassPass, and so glad we did! The interiors are so fun and whimsical - I could totally see myself chilling here for a couple hours with a friend over matcha. They have a variety of matcha drinks including ones with mushrooms and different flavors like strawberry. As a matcha lover, I was so glad to have discovered this spot! They have more cute and trendy type matcha latte than traditional Japanese matcha tea - just fyi for aficionados, but I loved it and it was just up my alley. We got the magic mushroom potion one, and a strawberry matcha latte. The strawberry one was nice and had a good amount of sweetness. Did I drink 1.5 matchas back to back and then have energy all day? Yes I did. Anyway, really recommend this place and eager to come back. It was (surprisingly) empty when we came on a Tuesday morning around 10-11am. Take advantage!

Decided to check out Matcha magic. Such a great name When you walk in the store is clean and really cute. There are some tables outside if you wanna sit outside also. Nice verse menu you can get some tasty sounding bites, but I decided to just try one of the Matcha drinks I decided to try a Horchata Matcha. I love a good Horchata and I with Matcha. Let's do it. The staff was very friendly. Placed my order and was very comfortable waiting a short time for my drink to be ready. I found the combination of the Matcha with the Horchata very pleasing. The Matcha balance the sweetness of the Horchata so you got a nice sweetness without being overwhelmed. I look forward to going back and checking out some of the other foods

Love the atmosphere and yummy treats! We always get welcomed upon arrival by the sweetest team. My go to is the Cloudy Coconut & my fiance gets the strawberry glaze. Both are delicious and not overly sweet. If you're ever in the area definitely stop by for a sweet pick me up.

We've been waiting for this place to open, as it looked so cute, and it did not disappoint! The drink menu is expansive and all delicious. The person who took our order took the time to make sure we knew what was what, and to give us a quick lowdown on matcha. We had a matcha horchata and a pineapple matcha latte and they were both SO GOOD. The interior is also well decorated with plenty of spaces to sit and sip. I came here excited because of all the great reviews, but was quickly disappointed. I love matcha and drink it almost daily, so I was really looking forward to trying this out. It was 10:30am on a weekday and I ordered the matcha horchata and they were already out of the horchata! I was sad, but thought a matcha latte would be good enough. Nope, the matcha wasn't matcha-y at all and mostly tasted like milk. :( Cute shop and fun vibes, but not quite for those who actually like matcha. read more

This store is so aesthetically pleasing. Parking was a little tricky but worth it. I got the white chocolate matcha, strawberry matcha latte, the macai bowl which came with a really unique coconut matcha chia seed pudding and lastly, the uncrusta-bowl. Their spoons were color changing! There's a mirror that says "work your magic" for your mirror pics too. Highly recommend! read more

I went a while ago, just getting around to writing a review now. I ordered the Ube Matcha Latte (iced) and was honestly very underwhelmed - the matcha was grainy, couldn't taste the Ube, too sweet. For how expensive the drinks are (not that anything is cheap nowadays), the experience was pretty disappointing. I almost didn't want to finish the drink at all. The place is decorated very nicely though, 2 stars for that. Seems they have prioritized Instagrammability over taste and quality. read more

If you're looking for a light delicious drink, look no further than Matcha Magic. Their drinks are all made with plant/nut based drinks so if you're like me, someone who has a hard time finding a lactose free horchata, Matcha Magic has it. I ordered the Matcha Horchata and next time, I'll definitely be ordering the strawberry matcha latte next. They also have different fun "potions" and coffee based matcha for that extra KICK to your morning. Highly recommend. The place is super cute too. read more

This place is great! I am visiting Bellevue for a week and have gone back to Matcha Magic multiple times. I like that their matcha isn't pre-sweetened. The Strawberry Purée matcha latte tastes fresh and delicious! The ube matcha latte was fun and pretty, but I felt the ube overpowered the matcha flavor. I got this one half sweetened because I was told it was sweet. I also tried the house and Greek toasts and they were both filling. There is a lot of seating and natural lighting inside the store. The drinks were prepared fast and I waited a little bit for the food. The employees were very friendly and nice. Prices are high but that seems to just be Bellevue. read more

Been here a couple times. We usually get the strawberry matcha and white chocolate. Overall I'd say it's good 2/3 of the time. The other 1/3 of the time the drink is either super watered down or has less strawberry. Overall it's a decent place, but the drinks aren't made consistently. read more

We stopped here for the first time. I got the horchata matcha & my husband got the white chocolate matcha. We got both warm cause it was a cold day out. They don't mess around with flavors! Very strong matcha & cinnamon flavors. It was ok, maybe a little too strong for me, personally. Workers were nice & made our orders quick. read more

Second time coming here and the toast flight is still the go to! Last time I tried their pineapple matcha drink, that was okay. But this time I tried their strawberry matcha latte and YES, I will get that again next time :) sooooo good. Strawberry purée is not overly sweet and compliments the matcha. For the avocado toast- some of the best I've ever had. The bread is perfectly toasted and all the toppings are placed so nicely with the perfect amount of ingredients. Our favorite is the Greek toast with the feta , mmm! The space is super cute and very instagram picture worthy. Great place for a quick bite and chat with friends. read more

I'm stuck in Respite care recovering from surgery and sepsis. The cafeteria-style food mandated by many assisted living places - breakfast salt bombs, random doses of high-fructose corn syrup, and carb/cows-milk-heavy selections leave me wondering where common sense is in the new millennium. Thank goodness for Matcha Magic because I get an adequate dose of vitamin-rich foods to begin my day. Who wants to be disabled in their late 60s and 70s? Stay flexible, and try everything. read more

I'm obsessed with this spot and it's our new family weekend hang out! I'm a big fan of matcha after growing up in Japan and love the quality that they serve here. I also lean towards plans based rather than dairy and am so excited about the options available. It's in the heart of Main Street in Bellevue and the cutest little store with the best decor (just look at my kid with the signs)! And the drinks and staff were amazing. My husband got a dirty matcha latte (he's a big coffee drinker) and really enjoyed it. And I tried a few different drinks and even got the pineapple lemonade for the kid and she loved it. The staff was super knowledgeable when I asked about their match and the different drinks! They recommended a few more that I can't wait to go back and try! So excited that we have the spot now in Bellevue and right next to the park after our weekend walks! read more

I was really excited to see a new matcha place in Bellevue's Old Town - especially after learning it is local and minority-owned. Aside from the lovely decor and sweet cashier (reflected in extra star), unfortunately nothing else is very redeemable. I ordered the strawberry matcha latte with house-made almond milk - pictured after stirred - and it tastes like more like water than matcha. I quickly regretted not getting my matcha from Nana's across the street instead. For a place specializing in matcha, I was stunned the matcha flavor is completely bland. Holy Matcha! Flavors you can only dream of. I got the Horchata Matcha and it was amazing! I also got an order of the avocado toast. While it might look simple, it was very delicious! Cute design inside and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely be back. PS they have the good ice. Not a lot of people pay attention to that but I appreciate it! read more

I love their variety of flavors, be warned that their menu is on the pricier side but if you're in the mood for matcha I would definitely recommend this place. It also has a very cute interior so it's a nice place to get together to catch up or for a date! I also really like their acai bowls. read more

I have only tried the pina colada matcha so this isn't the most educated review of their whole menu, but don't get the pina colada matcha. It was the workers recommendation to me so I tried it and the pineapple juice was unstrained you could feel the stringy itty bitties in every sip which was disgusting and it tasted super watered down. read more

I've been twice - first time I got the ube matcha latte iced and the second, purple haze hot. I think this place is pretty good for these fun, multi-flavored matcha drinks. The ube matcha reminded me of fruity pebbles, not too sweet but delish. The purple haze I can't compare to anything else, but it was definitely good. Because I haven't gotten the standard matcha latte, I'm hesitant to review their matcha specifically. Will update when I've tried them! Matcha shop of my dreams! This place is super aesthetic with their pink and green interior. I'm so glad a specialty matcha shop opened in Bellevue. You can't miss the bright pink building in old Bellevue. Definitely on the pricey side, so this will be a special occasion place. Matcha Magic is a great place to go if you're new to matcha or looking for some unique drinks. As a matcha lover, I would love if the drinks had a little bit more matcha and less of the flavoring, but that's just my personal preference. read more

I came here to try the hailey bieber dupe and was a bit disappointed. In addition to the strawberry glaze, I was also really interested in trying their matcha so we also got the Toasted MatchaMallow Latte. I thought the two components -- matcha and marshmellow would be a bit more intertwined given the name but they were just totally separate. It was just a toasted marshmellow on a stick stuck in the straw hole of the lid. The matcha was just normal matcha but really pasty. The smoothie was priced at $13 for 16 ounces which is kind of similar to the $20 for 20 ounces for the erewhon one in terms of price point but it wasn't as good. Aesthetic wise I also feel a bit lied to by the yelp pictures because there wasn't actually labels on the cup, only sleeves and the smoothie drink I got looked nothing like the pictures. The total for the two drinks was $22 so it was really pricey in my opinion. The chairs inside were also really uncomfortable. I don't think I will be back but anything is worth the try. read more

My review of Matcha Magic regards their I ability to fulfill orders before their closing time. They stop serving smoothies or açaí bowls 30 min prior to closing. It's a quick service restaurant, why not just lock their doors and not take customers anymore if they want to close earlier? I don't understand this.
