Super cool and fun spot up in Frisco! Honestly was kinda hard to find for me, but that's probably because I'm a dolt. Ha! It's tucked away in the back of a shopping plaza, but when you go in it's got the vibe of a 4-star restaurant you can wear cut-off jeans to and not get judged. The wait staff was great and the queso may be the best queso in DFW. Now I get it. queso is kinda hard to mess up and always tastes amazing. But they add in some cool wrinkles to their recipe making it really pop! They serve it in a cast-iron bowl too so it adds some substance to the experience for sure. Full drink menu and fun vibe. The food is pretty good! I got the unholy one and it's basically just French toast and chicken. It's definitely a lot and super heavy so only order it if you're feeling really hungry! The mimosas were great and only 2 dollars a glass or 11 for a larger mason jar/pitcher (around 6 glasses). Overall great spot for boozy brunch, but service was EXTREMELY slow when we went, so I took off a star. read more

Made reservations for Sunday brunch. Upon arriving early, we were greeted by the most disgusting smell. My guess was sewer back up. Nobody could tell us why were were smelling it. No answers. Decided to stay to eat. Big mistake. Out of 4 orders, one came out without all the ingredients listed on the menu. Waiter apologized and said his cook was new. Came back later to say the cook remade it but it still didn't contain all the items. So the 3rd time it finally came out right. Food was mediocre at best. My first visit here on a Sunday for brunch. We walked in and was seated immediately, so that was a plus. It was busy, but service was prompt and accurate. Our waitress was very knowledgeable, so that helps. We both ordered the same dish, which I totally forgot the name of the dish, it was French toast with chicken, fried egg, and some type of sauce. Luckily, the bar area (high-tops and booths) were first come first served and we were able to snatch a table in about 15 minutes. $15 sampler shots of 4 were decent, but was "too sweet" or "watered down" as said by my friends. I got the pineapple bomb---delish! My friend said her sangria was good, but it tasted watered down to me. What we ordered: fried chicken, cheeseburger, naked chicken wings, shepard's pie, pork po boy. All were decent. I actually liked my shepard's pie (ground beef in mashed potatoes, stuffed in a pastry). Service was excellent. Moonshine. Moonshine. Moonshine. If you like it, come here. O.M.G. the food really hit the spot. i may have been starving so it tasted extra delicious - but i just about licked the plate clean. i had the ribs - which pretty much fell off the bone.so tender i didn't even need to cut with a knife or anything. and the mash'd potatoes?! #nomnomnom! i had a piece of my friend's twice fried chicken strips and those were also amazing. they're open late - and they have a huge selection of 'moonshine' only reason i gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because i feel as if they're a little overpriced. but overall great restaurant! read more

I loved this place it was the perfect atmosphere for my age imo. Indoor and outdoor bar lots of tvs and full bar.. What's not to love? They have propane heating lamps on the patio which helps a lot but a few weren't on because they were out of propane. I enjoyed their food and would like to come back and try more things. They are known for their moonshine and have many drink options that cater to that. I still had a Long Island since I was hesitant to try moonshine. Overall, both my boyfriend and I loved the restaurant and I think it would be a primo spot to watch the super bowl or some major sporting event. Came in for lunch with a colleague. The place gets crowded when it's about lunch time, so I'm definitely happy that we came early. Now onto the food, I had the fried chicken sandwich with fries. The meatloaf was burnt and the volcano dish was skimpy, but I must apologize for allowing a one time experience be the basis for a three star review. I had to give this place another shot. I would give that a thumbs up, but because of the very small portion, my thumb is at a 45 degree angle. Overall, I have to give this place a three. The staff was friendly, the vibe was very cool, and there were so many fun things to look at. However, in my opinion, the restaurant does not live up. Two thumbs up! My boyfriend and I stopped in last night to enjoy a few moonshine cocktails and split queso, beet salad and an awesome rib sandwich. If you're picking up the queso, I recommend adding the pretzel bites to your order for an extra $1 -- Well worth it. The beet salad was fantastic on its own, but meat-eaters also have the option of adding salmon, shrimp, chicken or (perfectly cooked) steak. As far as the Babyback Sandwich goes -- Just do it. The rib meat was SO tender and flavorful! Mash'd also has Happy Hour specials every day from 3pm-6pm and 9pm-close. If you stop in during those times, you'll be able to grab a specialty cocktail for $3 off. I tried their "Knockout" Punch and "Ole" Fashioned. The Knockout Punch was really tasty and not overly sweet. The Ole Fashion was also delicious but definitely on the sweeter side, so I'd recommend this one as a stand-alone drink or a dessert cocktail. We'll definitely be back read more

"To Fork or not to Fork" that is the question.... at least when I got my Motor City Pizza. I'm a bit of a pizza snob so I'm always reluctant when somebody tells me that they have a great pizza, or a new item that is fantastic. My natural defenses kicked in when Brier, the bartender that recommended the Pizza and told me of it's "chef designed" origins, recommended it. At first glance this looks like a French bread pizza like I got when I was a kid (see pic). The ingredients, flavor, texture, and consistency it has make it not even close to that, nor does it resemble a traditional greasy flat Pizza. While it's definitely not Chicago-style pizza, it's not something traditional. There are chunks of pepperoni, an extremely flavorful outside, which I hesitate to call a crust. It's very tasty, and the flavors blend extremely well. It's very rich in flavor. Price point seems a little high for me, but given the environment, and I'm sure the quality and cost of the ingredients, relative to other things on the menu, this doesn't seem out of line. I've been a regular here since they opened, although I've not been able to go in more than a few times since COVID started. They are one of the only restaurants I've been comfortable eating at in person during the last year, though. Staff has always been phenomenal. I usually sit at or around the bar, and the bartenders are awesome. Food is delicious, drinks are great, and my whole family loves it. I've got food allergies, and they've been incredibly accommodating and very diligent, making me feel comfortable no matter what I order. Happy to say that their to-go lives up to the same standards. While it's only available through ChowNow, at a slightly higher price than other apps, I'm happy to support local businesses who often lose money with other delivery services. All that being said, tonight I ordered something they used to have on the menu, pre-pandemic. The manager, Andrew, NAILED IT. It was not only delicious, but he packaged it in a way that was probably a pain in the ass for them, but ensured the final product was not soggy or less than amazing. This is typically where most business fail to get my stars This place already has great good, good prices value and great brunch window. There was a mishap with a little too much steamed juices in my broccoli, I requested if I could get a replacement, and 3 managers came out and checked on me, got me a replacement and didn't make me like I was too demanding. This is a permanent venue on my weekend brunch venue list, I recommend you add it to yours. read more

The corn star tamale dish is great. We order it every time we go. We tried the chicken and biscuits. They are good. I tried the bulgogi tacos. They were disappointing. The cut of meat they use isn't great and I wish they would use fresh corn tortillas. It could use a slaw or pickled veggies. The marinade they use is OK. The meatloaf is (maybe) above decent but nothing special. I didn't care for the sauce. They covered the meatloaf slices with too much sauce (and also put some on the side). It was a bit too much. I like the Notorious FIG cocktail. The service is great and I think they do a good job of handling a full house. The service is great. Overall, a good place to go (especially with the pup) but I don't think I'd put it in the regular rotation. read more
