Came here for lunch the other day, food was interesting. The tacos I had were very flavorful but the sangria was disappointing and gave a bad headache. The fish tacos were dry and bland. My friends enjoyed their burger, salmon and meatloaf well enough. Atmosphere was a little different, more employees working then patrons dining during the lunch rush.
Came to this location on a whim on a Friday afternoon. We were seated right away but our server let us know they were having an issue with someone seating people without telling the server so there was a bit of a wait before anyone took our drink or food orders. Our server apologized even though it wasnt a big deal and was super helpful. We tried the corn spinach dip and "avocado toast pizza". The corn spinach dip was 10/10 bomb.com but was served with some of the stalest chips known to man. The avo toast pizza was very strange. Would maybe rate it 4/10 on a good day. Its super thick and reminds me of cheese bread not toast or pizza (it has no red sauce). We both ate one slice and took the rest home (and its still sitting in the fridge ) Giving 4 stars for how friendly and helpful our server was and how good the spinach corn dip was - everything else was just okay and the vibe is definitely sports-bar-ish with many many tv's and is pretty loud. Not my scene, most of their cocktails seemed to have a "home town moonshine" theme and it was an interesting atmosphere for sure.
Dropped my Mash'd for the first time after workout out for the wings and my goodness!!! Upon arrival there was no wait but get there as early as possible as it was filling up fast! Upon sitting we' were greeted within minutes. The waitress was very patient with us as we browsed the menu and brought out waters without asking...nice touch! We originally went for wings but was told the wings were discontinued so we opted for the chicken thighs as a starter. I'm am SO glad they had those thighs. We ordered 8 and got 4 siracha garlic butter and 4 wicked hot flavor. They were amazing! They were juicy and surprisingly normal sized. And that was just a starter!!! We literally could've ordered a side and made a meal of it! For dinner I ordered the turkey burger and it was also pretty tasty. It was seasoned well and was also juicy. If you want a cool setting with bar seating and tvs this is your spot! It's family friendly and has a good mixed crowd. And let me add...the pizza looked amazing!!! There were several tables that ordered one so it's safe to say that's a popular item! The only issue we had was that we had to ask for ketchup on 4 separate occasions from 3 different employees outside of our waitress and by the time we received it we were wrapping up our dining. Other than that...we had a great dining experience! I'd definitely go back!
Honestly, this place exceeded my expectations. They weren't extremely busy, which was a good thing. This place had a normal vibe to it though. But when I initially ordered, they said they were out of the fried pepperoni bites. So I was very disappointed, but the wait staff suggested the spinach & corn dip. I wasn't thinking it was going to be very good. But boy was I wrong. This dip was very good! The chips that came with it were also very good. A lot different than normal tortilla chips you get at Mexican food establishments. I highly recommend it. On top of that, we got the WTF tacos. These were also very good! Very good place, which in return I'll be back.
Slight mishap with our reservation for our party of 16 which was quickly alleviated with quick and friendly service! Pictured are the French toast and The Unholy One (friend breast in a French toast sandwich). I was not a fan of the breakfast potatoes but overall good brunch spot!
I've been wanting to try this place for so long because of the quantity of reviews. Disappointed. What we got: Spinach and corn dip, Bulgogi tacos, and The Bird. The Bird is a heavily breaded, thin piece of chicken sitting between two room-temperature buns. Bulgogi tacos were definitely interesting - not horrible, not great, but I really appreciated the heavy hand on veggies. We did really like the spinach and corn dip though. Environment: Very spacious area & our table was clean. Service: The server pretty much threw down our appetizer plates. Someone else's food was delivered to us, our food was delivered to the table next to us; the server was honestly probably just having a bad day, but thought it should be noted.
Ok, so update! Years later this place is still one of my favorite lunch/brunch/sipping spots in the area. So many yummy things to try for dinner also! Grab a table for group dining, or sit at the bar and chop it up with the servers. A lot of them have been here for years which is also a testament to the awesomeness of this place. Grab the corn dip as an appetizer, it's massive and always delicious with the piping hot chips. Plenty of spots to charge your phone as well up front. Patio is wonderful and there are misting fans. The only thing really I haven't had here is dessert! So that will be on the list. It tends to be on the pricier side but to me worth every penny. You will love it! I am already planning my trip back soon because I need to dive more into their brunch items.
I went Sunday around 2:30 PM for the 1st time. I sat at the bar after the bartender cleaned off an area. Everything behind the bar was in shambles and most of the counter was dirty. A couple sat beside me and made a comment about how everything was in disarray. The bartender said several people called people called in. My chicken sandwich and fries were cold. The drink wasn't good. It took forever to get someone's attention to check me out. I guess I picked the wrong day to try this place out.
Dropped by here for a quick brunch on a day out shopping and exploring the area. We ordered the queso and the cauliflower as appetizers for the table. The queso dip was very good, and our waitress brought us some extra tortilla chips when we ran out. The cauliflower appetizer looked really good. It had a flavor similar to general chicken but was kind of mushy on the inside with little flavor. The presentation as a whole head of cauliflower was nice, but I think the dish would have been much better if they cut the cauliflower in pieces so everything was cooked evenly and seasoned evenly. I ordered the migas. When it came out, it looked great. Unfortunately, looks can be deceiving. The eggs were rubbery and overcooked, there was no salt on the potatoes, and the tortillas were very underwhelming. The pickled onions on the plate were very good, but the rest tasted like airplane food. I also ordered a Good Medicine cocktail that was strong but good. The service here was good, but most of the food was not good at all. Maybe it was an off day, but it's definitely not a repeat.
First time here. Really liked this place and the home cooked food! Excellent fries and yummy "flower power" cauliflower. Atmosphere was fun and had nice 80's ads that make it nostalgic. Service was great and attentive. Although we don't live here, would definitely come back!
Make a reservation and get MASH'D! Busy eatery offering unique spins on southern classics! For starts we had the Oven-Roasted Chicken Thighs half Moonshine BBQ, half Sriracha Garlic Butter. The Thighs were large and juicy with a slightly crunchy exterior. The Moonshine BBQ had a good flavor, but not smoky like you would imagine in a BBQ flavor. The Sriracha Garlic, were like a spin on Garlic Parmesan with a slight sweet spicy kick! For our entree we had the Crab and Shrimp Volcano that had a weird, how be it not unpleasant flavor that was not the natural sweet of seafood. At first, it was a little off putting, only because it wasn't expected. However, once you dive in, the flavors come together enjoyably. The staff is quick and efficient, making the whole place run like a dream, even on a very busy Sunday afternoon! Overall, can't wait to try something else on the menu!
ORDERED - Chicken & Biscuits | $15.79 - Peach Mimosa | $2 - Blackberry Mimosa | $2 STAFF Absolutely loved our waiter! It was a busy brunch time when we went but our waiter still gave us 5 star service. SEATING AREA Plenty of seating inside and seating on the patio. Reservations can be made through their website, or through opentable. PARKING Parking can get a little out of hand in this plaza as there are A LOT of good dining options. I suggest getting there at least 10-15 mins early to grab a spot. OVERALL The CHICKEN & BISCUITS were a 5/5. The gravy was very rich and thick -- lots of flavor. The biscuits weren't regular biscuits; they were cheddar biscuits!!! The fried chicken was NOT salty like how many other establishments can go wrong. The dish was topped with two sunny side up eggs and everything assembled together was perfection. Just a warning that this will make you thirsty and you may or may not finish this in one sitting. It's A LOT to handle. As for the mimosas -- the brunch menu had $2 mimosas so you can try all flavors without breaking the bank. My personal favorite flavor was the BLACKBERRY, which actually tasted less tart than the BLOOD ORANGE. If you're not into flavored mimosas, the TRADITIONAL ORANGE is the way to go.

Our family had a fantastic experience at Mash'd. The service was fast, efficient, & friendly. Our server was attentive and helpful with menu questions we asked him. We went on a Sunday afternoon...we had a party of close to 10 people. There was not a wait for us to be seated at our table. Our orders were placed in under 10 minutes after our arrival. The food arrived within 15 minutes or so after we placed our orders. All of the food was hot, fresh, & great...tacos, wings, burgers, drinks, and my favorite, chicken and biscuits....so delicious! I recommend this restaurant and will visit again. read more

Location Southeast of Frisco in a shopping/food area Parking Large lot that gets full. e charging available by another establishment. Atmosphere Pet friendly, casual Seating Outdoor patio, indoor bar, booths, tables NOTE-there was an order inside. We ate outside Service Attentive, friendly-we drink a lot of water and the server brought us refills and a dog bowl of water for the dogs Menu Lots to choose from-they advertise fresh local food. It did not disappoint. The meatballs were savory-covered with shaved cheese and fresh basil sprig. The toasted bread was not my fav but our friend ate it up. The meatballs tasted fresh-as in fresh made and not frozen and re-heated. Really good. We both had the California salad which was chock full of veggies, roasted pineapple, arugula, feta, and more. We ordered the chicken and it arrived on a separate plate, sliced nicely. Our friends had the burger and fries. The fries were thin, cooked well, and seasoned. The burger initially arrived medium rare and the server was kind to return it for more cooking time, but also updated us on the progress. The menu also offers brunch, burgers, salads, breakfast items, appetizers, and more. The mimosa-blood orange was a generous pour for $3 and there is a wide selection of craft beers. Summary Local casual dog friendly place with great service, outstanding food, eat outside (inside odor), and convenient location. Loved it!! read more

Haven't been to Mash'd in quite a while. They've remodeled, and the decor is very inviting. I also found the new menu to be very unique. Our server was friendly and attentive. I really love Mash'd but this location not so much. Our waitress was really rude. She got really upset when I was trying to explain to her a situation which I will not go into details. The way she reacted I was ready to leave. I asked for the manager and our waitress walked off mad. The manager came and spoke to us. She was nice and we did request a new waitress but instead the same one came back with a different attitude. I really like to enjoy my experience at any restaurant but when the waitress is rude it really throws me off. I understand things are different now due to COVID but it doesn't excuse their behavior. Foodwise the Queso is really good here. The chicken fried pepperoni is good here but can be on the salty side. I did order the sriracha garlic butter wings. There was no sriracha flavor to the wings but the wings were good. I did order the Agave Heat as my cocktail and it was really good. It was a little on the sweet side though and didn't really have a kick to it. I am not 100% sure I'll return here due to my experience. read more

Great atmosphere! Great appetizer! Great drinks! Okay, I'm done. Just kidding. Our server was sweet and attentive. Always asking if we needed anything. But not in a bothersome way. She even brought us more chips with our queso dip. Which by the way was so tasty. My sister tore into that before I was able to take a pic. Definitely a great place to chill and drink. read more

Buffalo chicken fries - This made an excellent dinner! Fries were thin, crispy and seasoned well. Lots of buffalo sauce and ranch with shredded carrots and celery. I really enjoyed this. Sangria - Disappointing to say the least. I would not recommend this. COVID safety - Tables were blocked to keep social distancing. Servers wore masks, but a couple didn't keep it over their noses too well. It's got good ambiance and a fun vibe. Located close to Toyota Stadium so we ate here before the soccer game. I'd go back again! read more

Stopped by for a quick bite before heading over to nearby Stonebriar mall. We started with the garlic squares as an appetizer. This had no business being as good as it was. It is basically like garlic cheese bread but the bread is a pan pizza crust. Crispy edges and soft inside. Not surprisingly, their pizza is just like this and very tasty. The Avocado Bomb is an arugula salad with avocado, feta, corn, bacon all tossed together. The Powerbowl is a healthy quinoa bowl with roasted vegetables. My aunt is still raving about this bowl. Very happy to have found this place and glad we gave them a try. read more

Drove past this place many times and always wanted to try. The yelp pictures looked decent and 4 star review had to mean something was going alright. Had one of those "hey what do you feel like to eat" evenings and decided to check out MashD. The environment was chill and not bad so was super excited to see what fare was like. Server finally came around. Wasn't in the mood for a cocktail so did just a plain water with lemon. Yeah, I am dangerous. The food selection was adequate but nothing really stuck out. Server finally came around after about 20 minutes to get our order. Honestly I think he forgot we were there. Ordered meatloaf. What!?! Also fries and some biscuits with honey. Apparently place is known for the chiken biscuits. After another wait the food finally came out... Bit into a fry and my excitement deflated like a popped balloon. It was cold and limp. The biscuit was a warmer like temp with matching taste. Certainly not freshly made. Sadly the meatloaf was a poor looking lump of meat. Kobe beef? Ummm... It was a pricey Banquet TV dinner. I returned the fries and biscuit. I ate a few bites of the meat thing and couldn't do anymore. A few bites of mashed potato was enough. Honestly was looking forward to this place but in summary it was expensive lipstick on a pig. First and last time. Stay home and go on a fast. My rating scale: 1=Stay home and fast or eat dirt 2=I am psycho hungry and someone is paying 3=Average and I am hungry 4=Tasty yum yum! 5=OMG, I ate my fingers too! read more

Came here for the first time on Saturday for lunch. It was pretty crowded and very loud. Not sure if this is normal, but the music was loud. Brennan was our server. Very nice, friendly, and pleasant. Me and my friend went here to catch up and it was a beautiful place that was fun! Our server Cameron was so cute and fun! The drinks here are really good and they have a bomb bomb happy hour from 3-7! All drinks are half off. First off no one ever speaks about thinks like this but the bathroom is AMAZING! They have picks for your teeth, pads, tampons, lotion, & I think perfume! So 5 stars for the bathrooms alone! The wings were SOOO GOOD. Very meaty (that sounds so weird lol) and very flavorful. I had the wicked hot, Caribbean, and garlic flavor and I SWEARRR they were there most flavorful wings. Ever. I would deff come back here for happy hour. It's a cool lil vibe. I love the inside decor. And the service was amazing. It's a different spot for Frisco and I really love it. read more
