I recently needed to have the door and passenger sideview mirror on my 2018 Mazda CX 5 repaired because of a collision. The Maryland Collision Center was recommended to me, and I could not be happier with the outcome. Together with the insurance company, they coordinated pickup and drop-off my rental. They matched the paint (no easy task) and assured that all the mirror technology worked flawlessly. They were very communicative and easy to work with. Pretty happy with the outcome of the work done. It's unfortunate I was involved in an accident (minor thankfully). But it took them about 2.5 days to get my car back. They explained every step of the way, gave calls during the process of the paint prep and even gave me some options to take care of some other scratches I had on the car. When looking for a car shop, you worry about perfect paint match. Paint did look like it matched up just fine. I did find a few very small bubbles which isn't a big deal but as a car enthusiast, I would always have that in the back of my mind since it's not OG factory paint anymore. They also took care of adding more clips to secure the bumper more which I was missing and didn't know. The painter then came out and took some time to talk about my car and what was done which I liked a lot. That's good customer service. Only flaw I think they had when I picked up the car was my interior was very dusty, as if they left the windows down while painting and sanding down old paint. I had to detail my car once I got home and wiped every single part of my car down. Over all happy, 4/5 only because they left the interior a little dirty and I have asthma. The worst vehicle service I have ever received. It took them forever to finally finish the repairs to my car, and when they finally let me have it back, it was riddled with mistakes. The rocker panel was bowing off of my car's body when they first pulled it out of the service station, so they pulled it back in to fix it. Next I discovered that the driver's side seatbelt was completely was missing, so they had to put that back in. Then I get down the road and notice a whistling sound coming from my passenger side door's window, so I turn around and take it back to the repair shop. They "fix" it, and I finally get to go home. At home I notice that the passenger side door is so crooked that it doesn't line up with rear passenger side window, and there is a rubber piece missing from my passenger side fender. I also discovered that the front bumper was not properly sanded before the painted it, and that they put the beat up license plate holder back on after painting the bumper, as opposed to a new one. I contact the shop, and they say that they will order the piece and call me to bring it in to fix it and the door. They never called, so I called the guy I was working with to get my car fixed, but he never returned my call. I got so frustrated that I decided to take my car to another repair shop. Once there, they discovered that MD Collision Center used a bumper screw to mount my passenger side window unit into place, not the correct size screw for the job. These guys are amateurs at best. You should not have to repeatedly return your car to the shop to get it repaired. They should do it correctly the first time. I only used them because they were approved by my auto insurance company. Do not bring your vehicle to these crooks. They are not professionals, and do not give a damn about the quality of their work. You are just a paycheck to them. You have been warned. read more

The person that helped me was Mr. Andy Essman he went out his way and beyond to make sure my suv get serviced. It started off with independent insurance agent and I was back and forward with different numbers. I informed Mr. Andy of the concerns , he started emailing and calling the insurance companies as well. Once we figure out what insurance company was going to take care of the suv, we stayed on them. This process took at least 5 going on 6 weeks in getting the insurance company to take care of the suv. Mr. Andy was always available when I call him. He stayed in touch with me of any updates with my suv or insurance concerns. Every one was very helpful in keeping me informed. I did not have a good experience with this mechanic and I'm writing to warn others of how they try to extort and steal from you. After trying to get my car back, they did everything in my power to try to convince me that I couldn't get it back. They were able to rack up charges that came from thin air. When asking them for an itemized bill, they claimed it wasn't worth their time and that we should just pay the number they made up. After numerous phone calls, and attempts to work this out we were finally able to get my car. The part the pisses me off the most is that they stole my spare wheel from the trunk and replaced it with some trash wheel. I purchased a wheel off eBay, exact size that goes with my car- brand new. I check 1 week after getting my car back to find an old, beat up wheel that does not even fit my car. They were petty that I wanted my car back and they stole from me. This is not the type of business you want to take your car to, it is all about money for them. read more

I was rear ended back in 9/8/2022 and Maryland Collision did an amazing job. Not only did they fix my car with authentic original parts not after market. They always provide fast service and they take care of their customers. So, it was a no brainer that I would return to Maryland Collision when an idiot broke into my car, stole my airbag on 2/14/2024. I felt violated. Glass was everywhere. My husband cleaned it up as best he could to get it to MD Collision; however, when I picked up the car I thought man I'll have to take it to get it cleaned and get the glass removed well when I got there to my surprise the car was fixed and completely cleaned. No trace of any glass. They removed the seat and vacuumed no trace of glass. I love this place because it a one stop shop. They educate you on safety and then Hertz picked me up for the rental. I was able to pick up my car and leave the rental at Maryland Collision. I'm grateful for the team. As I was moving my items out of the rental and into my car I dropped my earpiece in between the seat. It's 5 pm their leaving and I was giving up. The gentleman said no we're not giving up and located my earpiece. That's over and beyond their job description. Thank you Maryland Collision. Customer service was good but the work was only acceptable. First problem was the color did not match. I had to point that out to them and they did spend another day matching it properly, which I appreciate. The second problem was my bumper did not fit correctly. They had to take the bumper off again to paint but it still did not fit properly on one side. I took the car to the Collision Center twice after that and they tweaked the fit but did not think to replace my bumper or do anything else to make it look like stock. read more

I paid 3 times what I should have paid and to only find out they did a half ass job. Won't be recommending to anyone nor will I return. I feel like I got ripped off. I contacted 6 other places and this place was very friendly and had the best price. I explained I wanted this done while I'm out of town to minimize disruption and was told that's fine and I wouldn't be charged a storage fee. The work itself looks good as new and I'm very happy. There was some administrative issues such as never getting my receipt emailed to me until my 3rd or 4th time asking. They also called me at 3am waking me up on vacation to ask when I was getting my car despite me telling them when I'd be back on 3 separate occasions which was slightly irritating. Immediately I was met by the nicest and most compassionate people I've ever had to deal with. They took the time and went into great detail about the process and how it went. I had the misfortune get hit twice in the past 3 months by male drivers 22 years old or younger who happened to be insured through a parent by State Farm. I have GEICO. The first time I made my claim through GEICO, and found that Maryland Collision was a fairly convenient location and a GEICO preferred shop. I had to pay my deductible up front to Maryland Collision, and the damage (over $6K) necessitated that it was in the shop for 3 weeks. However, when I got the Honda back I couldn't tell it was ever hit. I just recently got reimbursed in full for my deductible and car rental. The second time I made my claim directly through State Farm. I thought Maryland Collision did a good job the first time and they are also preferred by State Farm as well. This time, no money had to change hands and I found the process much more streamlined. This time, Maryland Collision gave me an estimate for completion on a Thursday or Friday of the same week. I told them that Thursday would be much more convenient for me. I know that they busted their butts to get it done by Thursday. Again, I think they did great work. They are also very polite and professional during both times; calling me back when they say they would. Lesson learned for me: if I'm sure I'm not liable, make the claim directly through the other car insurance company (but make a "report" to your car insurance company). read more

So, I don't write a negative review for a place unless I feel they're doing something dangerous or being straight up dishonest with me, and my recent experience with Maryland Collision Center was an intersection of both of those criteria. I waited to post this review because 1) I wanted to see how the repairs held up and 2) I wanted to see if the business would reach out to at least offer an apology. Spoiler Alert: The repairs have so far held up and the business did not contact me. So, back at the end of October, I hit a deer. There wasn't a ton of damage to the car, but it did at least need a new headlight and a new bumper cover. This place was one of Nationwide's recommended shops, was close-ish to my house, and had good reviews on Yelp, so I figured I'd take the car here. (Note: This is NOT a review of Nationwide, as they were super helpful throughout the whole process.) I dropped the car off on a Tuesday, and when I asked the workman how long it might be, he told me probably Friday. I didn't hear anything by Friday. When I called on Monday to check, the guy I spoke to said my car would be ready Wednesday. I was a little annoyed because I figured they'd call if there was a delay, but whatever. Flash forward to the next morning and I get a call from the receptionist (Samantha) to say they had called me the day before to tell me my car was ready and weren't able to leave a message on my voicemail, but that I needed to come pick up the car that day. Again, OK, there's nothing wrong with my voicemail, but whatever. Then transpired some communication weirdness, which I'm truncating because of the text limit. The short version is that the shop insisted on having me communicate with the claims adjuster directly, but because they're affiliated with Nationwide, they were supposed to contact the claims adjuster on their end. The claims adjuster didn't know why they kept trying to go through me, rather than calling him directly. I took an Uber down there, and I went into the office first, signed the paperwork, made sure they had gotten things squared away with the insurance company, got my keys and went out to the car... EXCEPT when I got out to the car, the bumper cover was not installed correctly. It wasn't fitted properly over the headlamp and the clips weren't even engaged (you could see the bumper hanging loose). I went back inside and told them the bumper cover wasn't fitted correctly and asked if they could send someone out to look at it. One of the intake guys came out with me to look at. He fiddled with it a bit, but couldn't get it to fit. While fiddling with it, he put his other hand on the bumper cover and the little bit of pressure dislodged the whole thing. He took it down to the techs and then came back up to tell me they had used an aftermarket part that wasn't fitting and they'd have to order an OEM part and the car would be ready Thursday or Friday. I took another Uber home. So the receptionist calls back on Thursday afternoon and tells me the car is ready. On Friday morning, I get another Uber and go down there. This time I asked the Uber to wait while I check out the car and the bumper cover is STILL not correctly fitted. There was a 1/2 inch gap between the bumper cover and the headlight and consequently, the bumper cover was making loud clicking noises. I took a bunch of photos and video of the issue. I was fairly angry at this point, so I just take the Uber home and contact the claims adjuster on the way. Basically I explained I was having a really hard time with the body shop and asked what he could do to help straighten the situation out. He got me in touch with someone at Nationwide claims, which was great. After I got off the phone with the claims adjuster, the receptionist called me from the shop (she had come out & seen me taking video while I was there) and said she was calling to let me know my car was ready. I told her that, no, it wasn't ready and detailed my issues with the work done. She told me that my car was "wrecked" (her words) and I couldn't expect it to look the same as it did before. She said (and I quote), "Why don't you just come back and pick it up because I'd hate for your rental to get cut off." I told her I'd rather work with Nationwide claims and see where that gets me. I'm going to have to truncate the rest of the story, as well, but long story short: the Nationwide claims guy told them to order a bumper bracket and the next time I went out to look at the car, it was FINALLY ready to go. To sum up, this should have been an easy and quick job, but needless to say, it was not. read more

They did an amazing job!! And were lighting fast. Everyone was courteous and extremely professional. I definitely recommend this shop!

The service and work was not good at all. First, the technician rolled down the window and could not get it back up when they were advised the window was not working. Initially. They lied and stated it was the motor that cost $300 when it was only the master switch which my son replaced in 10 minutes and he has no car experience and all the windows worked after that. They did not even have the common courtesy to let me know the window was not able to be rolled up and gave me the car back with plastic on it in the pouring down raining outside and rain got in the car. Also, I was given a foggy scratched up old headlight to replace the new headlight that was on the car previously. Not to mention, the bumper was not put on properly. I had my to go back to the shop to have the bumper put on properly. But repairs were subpar and I will not be a returning customer. read more

MDCC is a great company!! They do quality repairs in a timely manner and work with all insurance companies even my off the wall one. They put aftermarket parts on my car per my insurance policy and they didn't line up properly, when I came to look at they were very understanding of my concerns. They called my insurance company and made them pay to fix it right!! MDCC did all the legwork for me, got oem parts approved even tho my policy clearly stated that they only cover aftermarket!!! They even detailed my car and gave me a free shirt (they give every customer one apparently). Cant say enough good things about them and recommend them to anyone I can!! ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE PLACE!!! Don't waste your time or money on their horrible service. I dropped my car off on Wednesday around noon, just to get an estimate. By Friday morning, I heard nothing from them. I was pissed and told them not to touch my car that I was coming to get it. When I walked in, the girl behind the counter did not even look at me to ask if I needed help. A guy came from another room to tell me that just took my car back to get me an estimate. Then the guy who I checked the car in with on Wednesday came and said he just looked at it and it should it about $1200!! I was furious and said thank you, I would like my car. My husband and I had a very positive experience with Maryland Collision Center. Two months ago I had got hit and had my back bumper damaged after a lot of back and forth with the person I finally took it to the insurance companies. It was my first accident so I didn't know what exactly I was doing. Samantha helped me by explaining how insurances worked and who to call what to ask from them. She really went out of her way to help us. When we finally were able to give them our car they told a date and expected work time. Samantha again helped us by trying to get everything done quicker, she knew we had been dealing with this for awhile and wanted us to be done with it all. Our car was done in a day when we were expecting it to be done in a three. When we received our car it looked great! Embarrassingly we had lots of dog hair from our lab in the back and they cleaned it inside and out. our car looked new on the outside like we just bought it, the bumper was perfect. We laughed at their motto "repaired with love" but it truly is. I would highly recommend this place. It may be more on the expensive side but your paying for a trustworthy shop with amazing staff. I hit a deer and called insurance (nationwide) to make a claim. Lady told me I am covered for that type of accident and she asked where I spend most of my time during the day, I said silver spring (I live 45 min from there) so she made an appointment at Maryland Collision center to inspect the damage. Took the car to Maryland Collision and I left the car there to get inspected. I go to work and I get a call from nationwide saying I am not covered for this type of accident, so I said well that sucks because I was told I was. I call MCC and tell them that I am not covered and they said they have already started to take the car apart. They said they would try and help me out and try to save money by getting aftermarket parts and could save the headlights by repairing them (they quoted just under $6,000). I told them put the car back together because I would like to shop around for better pricing and a shop closer to where I live. They said they couldn't so I was stuck getting my car fixed at their shop. My gripe is with the insurance company saying I am covered but then saying I am not, but I would think there would be some communication and confirmation between the insurance and the collision center but obviously there wasn't. My car was there close to a month and it was time to pick my car up. They called and said the ending price I owe was $7,500, I said what? I was quoted under $6,000. Long story short I ended up paying $1,500 more than quoted and this was after them telling me they would help me save money. Unfortunately that's not the end of it. A few days later when I was driving at night I noticed the lights were pointed straight into the ground. I tried adjusting them and the left headlight would adjust up and down but the right headlight would not adjust (the right headlight was replaced and the left was "repaired"). I took my car back to MCC to get the headlight fixed so it could be adjusted. I did a little research before taking the car to MCC and found that a ball and joint can pop off where the adjuster is for the headlight. I mentioned this to a guy at MCC and he tried to adjust the headlight but couldn't. He said I would have to buy another headlight (they charged $1,300 for a headlight for my car). I told him I am not buying a new headlight and I was on my way. I took matters into my own hands and decided I was going to try and fix the headlight. In order to get to the problem and reattaching the ball joint to the adjuster for the headlight I had to take the whole bumper cover off to slide the headlight out. It took me a few hours to do when it would have taken MCC 3 minutes to do while they had my car apart in the first place. After the light issue I haven't noticed any other problems. But having so many issues with this company it doesn't give me too much confidence with their work and business. Crossing my fingers no other problems come up. read more

Please make sure to remove all valuables from your car when visiting this place. I had all my change that I use to pay parking meters and tolls stolen. I felt that customer service was lacking and they could care less. While I only had about 5 dollars stolen, I will be taking my cars elsewhere in the future out of principle. I like how after bringing them to them a 1400 dollar warranty repaint job they also decided to find and take change from my car. Paint job so far looks ok. read more

Maryland Collision did a fantastic job with both of my cars! Unfortunately I had someone hit my VAN and leave, no note, just scratched all the way down one side. Maryland Collision matched my paint which can be difficult to match. My van looked brand knew when they were done! My other car was the victim of vandalism. Someone took a rock or something and went up and down both sides. Maryland Collision working with a short time frame completed the work quickly, professionally and again it looks like a new car!
