Recently, my car was swiped while I was parked along the street. After filling my claim with GEICO, they recommended King Street to do the repairs. I made an appointment to drop it off a few days later. The shop was prompt with honoring the appointment and got me in and out quickly. I also appreciated that they have an Enterprise rep on site, so I was even able to pickup my rental without having to travel somewhere else. I was told it would take a week for the repairs. They called to follow up a couple of times to keep me updated on the progress. When I picked up the car, I was very impressed with the quality of the work. Hopefully I don't have to get another repair, but if I do, I will definitely bring it back to King. read more

Ridiculously unethical "partnership" between the shop and Geico you are told one thing then advised another. They won't work on all cars, they pick and choose. Then send the unwanted cars and owners away to figure it out. Total waist of your time. Especially for someone who pays for Geico insurance, to have an accident with someone who also has Geico it's all about money and what's best for them. Oh and the enterprise car rental you are suppose to have waiting for you at the shop doesn't show up for you. I advise you to go elsewhere, find an insurance and collision center that actually cares. read more

I wouldn't suggest bring your car here. I got my car fixed here and supposedly they were supposed to fix a LTA system malfunction , headlight system malfunction and a pre-col something system malfunction all caused by a deer accident all they did was just erase the information that was coming up on the dashboard by the next day all the light we're back on saying the same thing . when I took it in today to they told me they couldn't do anything and that I got into another car accident even though I knew I didn't get into another car accident and when they pull up my information it doesn't say that I got into another car accident and it doesn't say that I took it to another body shop to get it fixed or anything. moral of the story if you want your car to actually get fixed and to not have any issues from what is started with I suggest taking it somewhere else to get it fixed. supposedly they have like a liability or like warranty if you still have the car in your position that is not true whatsoever as you can tell from my experience read more

Everyone with whom I interacted kept me apprised and informed, so I never had any questions to ask- they were already addressed! They were well organized with the on-line appointment, calling me soon thereafter to confirm the appointment and to inform me of what would happen and what I needed to be sure to bring. When there, I arrived and was greeted and helped immediately. The appraisal was fast, and even while waiting, I hardly noticed the time, which couldn't have been more than 10-15 minutes. After informed of the damage repair process and turnaround time, I was quickly directed to the on-site car rental option. They, too, were amazingly fast. If you can sign up for text messages, why not? So fast and easy to keep you aware! I received phone and text information about the progress, and when I could pick it up. The pick-up was equally as friendly, thorough and attentive. They made sure I was happy, informed me of the lifetime guarantee and thanked me. All staff members here are personable and knowledgeable, as well as efficient! There was a smudge on my car where the repair was done- so they made sure to clean it off before I drove away. That's attention to detail and customer satisfaction- and I didn't even ask! This was on top of the car wash upon which they graced my car! Shiny!! Only one point to mention: they do not accept AmEx. This place is trash. Don't come here. My car was rear ended Friday, October 2, 2020. I called GEICO and they set up the inspection and repairs here at King Street Auto. I get to the door today (October 7, 2020) and realized that I accidentally left my surgical mask in my glove compartment. An imbecile named "Mark" (who I later learned was the Manager) came from behind his desk and yelled at me for forgetting my mask in my car... while he HIMSELF Was not wearing a mask! It was unreal. This literally happened in less than a minute of me being in the place. So I immediately gave the uneducated dimwit a piece of my damn mind regarding his lack of intelligence. That's when the P.O.S. started to put his attitude in check and fake an adherence to basic customer service training. Also, most of the men in the back WORKING on the cars were wearing NO MASK. It was so unreal to yell at a customer who made an honest mistake and forgot my mask in my car while the employees here were not wearing masks. It's clearly hypocritical. All in all, customer service here is in the toilet. I would not recommend this place and I also let GEICO know about the deplorable experience I had in just a few minutes being in the place. The guys working on the cars seemed a little sketchy too. It was mostly guys who seemed like "alley mechanics" who barely spoke English. Several guys spoke to me outside with broken English (English as a second language). I wouldn't recommend this place. I don't have the time for poor customer service nor potentially poor quality repairs. AVOID THIS PLACE. read more

Hit my car on a pole and didn't want to go through insurance. I found King Street Auto body and they were able to help me next day. When I went in Marc gave me an estimate which was the same price as my deductible would have been. The wait to get my car back was 3-5 days but it was done in only 2! I would highly recommend this shop. Great work in a timely fashion. Will be going back here again in the future. Hopefully I won't have to though. read more

Was referred here by GEICO. Couldn't be happier with the service, speed, or quality of the work. Friendly, helpful staff. They called with updates on the vehicle. They have a 24hr crew, so managed to get our work done very quickly (i.e., dropped off early on Monday morning and picked up Tuesday afternoon). They did use OEM parts. Cost was what I expected it to be (though we only paid our deductible). They even vacuumed and washed the car before we got it back! Location is very convenient to downtown Silver Spring and not a bad walk from the metro. read more

I have GEICO insurance and got into a minor fender bender. I needed to have my car repaired ASAP and King Street Auto Body was the closest location to me that had available appointments. This auto body shop works with Geico and has an estimator on site. My entire experience with them was pleasant, easy, quick and painless. I had an appointment first thing in the morning for an estimate, and was actually running late. They were super understanding and more than willing to still help me be in and out with no attitude. David did a quick but thorough walk through with me upon dropping off. He then did the estimate within the day and I had an email as well as a phone call with the estimate information. He informed me my car would be ready about a week or so later. My car ended up being ready 3 days later! (4 days early). Because I couldn't pick up my car right away, they were willing to hold it for me a couple days without charge. Upon picking up, they had me sign my paperwork and my car brought out to me in minutes! Stay away they are a volume body shop and move repairs out as fast a possible with out any respect to your car and their work just shows it. No attention to detail and they leave many things untouched on a repair or claim even though they get paid to make a full repair. I brought my car here because my insurance Geico recommended them, worst mistake talk about a horror story. My car needed rear bumper, rear quarter panel and door repainted but blended in of course. This place did not even blend the panels so it was shades different to my original paint. Dust and crap in the paint/clear coat and the paint was somewhat wavy. They also over sprayed clear coat on my custom aftermarket polished wheels that cost over $5k. Who the hell does not mask around wheels when painting much less very expensive wheels? After all this they used paint thinner to remove the over spray on my wheels and tried to repaint the crap job again with no change on the 2nd attempt. When I picked up the car I noticed my brand new front bumper had a bad scrape on the bottom and they declined fault and told me they would give me $50 credit at another body shop to repair my bumper which was totally disrespectful. Overall a terrible experience and I had to have my insurance company fix my car correctly for the 3rd time but this time at Acura of Chevy Chase who did an excellent job on the repair. Geico agreed on the terrible job done by King St Auto Body originally and it was all fixed at Acura for $0.00 on my tab. Overall if your repairing a car and want it done correct and don't want to be labeled as a number stay away from King St Auto Body. I've been holding off this yelp but I'm trying to save at least some frustration for others. read more

I was referred to this body shop by GEICO after someone side swiped my car while it was parked making it look like wolverine clawed my car from the driver side door all the way back through the rear panel. I had the option of going to another shop closer to my apartment in DC, but King Street Auto Body had better yelp ratings so I chose to go to them instead and I'm sure glad I did! I made a 7:15AM appointment to have the damages assessed by a Geico Rep on a Monday morning, and I was driving off to work in an Enterprise rental car by 7:30AM. Having Enterprise on site definitely helps expedite the process of getting back on the road while your car is in the shop. So I get an estimate that the car would be fixed by Friday at the close of business. Each day you get a phone call from the front desk staff updating you on the progress of the repairs, and I was really excited when they told me the repairs would be completed by Wednesday at noon. Pretty fast turnaround time. I go to pick up my car and she looks brand spanking new. They wash your car and even vacuum the interior which I was definitely in need of. Anyways, for those that have the unfortunate circumstance of having to choose a body shop to take care of your car, rest easy and take it into King Street Auto Body with confidence. I called ahead to make an appointment to drop of my car and the guy in the phone said I could come anytime between 2-5 in the afternoon. I came at 3 and first front desk attendant, Mark, said I needed to call insurance to get a claim estimate. When I explained to him that I already had an estimate, he insisted it wasn't in the system. Then I got on the phone with insurance and he magically found my estimate. Then Mark took me outside and looked at my car and said he needed me to come back Monday. When I told him I felt like I was getting the run around, he said, "OK, you can leave it here until Monday." I was taken a back at how little he wanted to help me. It was like he didn't care and was trying to shoo me away. I called my insurance company and told them to help me find another auto body shop. I will not be back to this place. read more

I gave this shop two opportunities to do my body work and paint correctly, however, they failed. The paint had tons of junk under the clear coat, including what looked to be someone's sweater fibers. There was overspray everywhere, including on my grill and on my engine. They didn't remove anything before they painted the car, including the door handles or the glass but they certainly charged for it. There were still scratched up areas that were supposed to be repaired. I am currently trying to have the car re-painted and the oversprayed areas fixed, but the quote is so high because of King Street's terrible job (they have practically totalled my car) that my insurance company is giving me push-back. I have no idea what I am going to do, but this relatively straightforward minor job has turned into a complete nightmare. read more

I have had two wonderful encounters with this body shop. I was originally referred here by GEICO & the service was amazing! I will start by saying how great it is to have the owner/manager of the shop come out and look at the vehicle with the auto damage adjuster. There is a sense of security that they actually care of about the repairs to the vehicle. He even takes the time to explain what the parts that need to be replaced are and explains why. The office staff is sooooo friendly. I can't recall the name of the lady that works the front desk but she is so kind and welcoming. They really try to make an unfortunate situation as pleasant as possible. They kept me up to date with several phone calls regarding the status of my vehicle, this was so helpful. It is not very often that you run into a situation where the company is calling you with you having to pick up the phone and ask what is going on. Once I picked up the vehicle I was so pleased. The bumper looked amazing, the paint was flawless (you couldn't even tell that they had to blend it match the older paint on the undamaged areas of the vehicle). They did such an amazing job that my Aunt commented on how great my car looked and she could tell that I had had some good paint work done! Fast forward to about 6 months later...I was rear ended & I was furious. I had just had my bumper replaced from a hit and run incident. I am GEICO policy holder & I was working the at fault drivers HORRIBLE insurance company, State Farm. They were making the entire process a nightmare. I decided that I would contact GEICO & let them take the steps to get my vehicle repaired. Of course I did not hesitate to return to King St. I can say that I have received the same superior service from this body shop, including a phone call from the front office to simple say they anticipate my vehicle being ready in a few days (I just dropped it off yesterday...& they had already assured me of that...how nice!) & telling me to have a nice weekend. It is SO refreshing to work with a business that actually cares about their customers, respects their time, and is aiming to please. Thank you times a million to the impeccable team at King St Collision. I joke with the them that something happens to my vehicle every 6 months (which is true) but I would never hesitate to return to this body shop for body work that needs to be done to any vehicle I own. read more

I was referred to King Street Collision by my car insurance. I was skeptical originally as I have a shop I normally take my car to. But moving forward with King Street was A great decision. It was extremely easy with having enterprise Rent-A-Car right on site. So the process was very quick and very smooth. I was able to get in the next day and my car was ready the next. They did a great job (washed my car too!) as well as kept me in the loop often. It was a easy process and I'd definitely put my stamp on King Street for those who must do the same. A highly recommended auto garage in Silver Spring! Was in a car accident, called my insurer (Geico), and they referred me to this garage KING STREET COLLISION where they work together for an ALL Inclusive experience, complete with a rental car. I dropped my damaged car off at the shop the morning after the accident, and a Geico Adjuster walked me through the process, very informational, and gave me an accurate wait time to get my car back (5 days for a crushed door and wheel-well damage). The Geico Adjuster handed me off to the on-site Rental Car rep from Enterprise (who was scheduled to meet with me through my initial call to Geico). The Enterprise rep was also great and informative--got me in my rental and on my way to work all within 45 minutes. King St Collision kept me informed of my vehicle's progress with almost-daily phonecalls/voicemails until it was ready to be picked up. My car was given back to me looking fresh, with high quality repairs, a car wash, and an interior vacuum! Price was $2500 and the defendant's insurance took care of it, so definitely worth it! read more

The insurance company pointed me to this place for repairs to the side of our Toyota. The car ended up looking good when we picked it up, but shortly after the door trim they had replaced started to fall off. We took it back and they fixed it, but still it was an unnecessary second trip. Another negative - do you know that they charge to give an estimate? They will deduct the estimate charge from the bill if you take it there for the work. This is an uncommon practice and another strike against them. read more

King Street Collision agreed to an insurance appraisal to fix my car which included replacing the bumper cover for $287.16. I picked the car up on Friday, May 5, 2017. I noticed old dents I had fixed myself on the right side of the bumper, and I was told that was a flare and it was not part of the bumper. The bumper began to come undone on Monday, May 8, and when I looked closely, I saw that there was no flare on the bumper. It turned out; the bumper had not been replaced. They had only fixed the damage on the driver's side of the car. Unaware that there was patchwork on the passenger's side of the car, they had done nothing to it. They had billed me and collected payment for a new bumper. They then asked me to leave the car, and they would fix it.They have "alleged" now replaced the bumper. If they could touch up the driver's side that was badly damaged to look like new, they could touch up the passenger's side that was not so damaged to look as new. If I didn't have the old mark, they would have gotten away with passing off a repaired old bumper as a new one.Even now, there is no evidence that they did replace the bumper. They are very nice people, but I think integrity and honesty are essential in this kind of business. People should not have to pay for products they don't receive. read more

Stay away from this shop. They have a bad customer service and they do a poor shop. I took my vehicle there to have the flush system fixed only to find out weeks later when i tried to fill it up that it had not been fixed. I took it back to show it to them and they said they did the job i asked them to do. That was an interesting answer because I'm not a mechanic, so i don't know needed to be done. What happened next, they made it seem like it was my fault and sent me to go deal with GEICO. On top of everything the owned is arrogant and acts like he is doing customer a favor fixing their car. Took car in to get minor dent repaired, got car back, went home, and within 2 hours tire was flat (the tire in the same area they had worked on) - with a sidewall puncture. No problems prior, drove only 2 miles home. Took tire back to shop and the owner refused to accept any responsibility - without even checking with his staff who worked on the car to see if they recalled anything that could have happened! Seems like a pretty big coincidence. Overall, very poor handling of the situation, out $216 for 2 new tires, would NEVER take the car there again. read more

Just picked up our car today after some asshat rear-ended my husband a couple weeks ago. It looks great! The communication with our insurance went smoothly and they kept us updated on progress. When I picked it up, I noticed a few small paint chips off the driver side door that I had never seen before (no idea whose fault that was or how long they were there), so I asked quickly, while I was there, if they would recommend a kit or offer some matching paint before it got worse/rusty. No problem! Someone came right out and touched it up. The only tiny complaint is that they did not try calling both my husband and my number when the car was ready, so it sat there for days without us knowing.
