I am extremely disappointed with the quality of work performed by this auto body shop. I chose this facility because it was recommended through GEICO, but based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering repairs here to take their vehicle elsewhere. My vehicle is only six months old and has been meticulously maintained. It was brought in after a deer damaged the front fender and hood, both of which required replacement. Unfortunately, the repairs I received were unacceptable. The replacement fender is misaligned and does not fit properly. The newly painted hood and fender already have chips, visible lines and imperfections in the finish, and, incredibly, a portion of the fender where it meets the hood was not painted at all. Given the number and severity of these issues, I have serious concerns about the workmanship and quality control at this facility. I am currently working with GEICO to dispute payment for these repairs and will be pursuing all available legal remedies to recover the damages caused by the substandard work, including any diminished value to my vehicle resulting from these improper repairs. I am also concerned by how quickly the repairs were completed. I dropped the vehicle off on a Tuesday and was notified it was ready by Friday, despite originally being told the work would take nearly two weeks. While completing repairs ahead of schedule can be positive when done correctly, in this case the rushed timeline appears to have come at the expense of quality. It is disappointing that management approved releasing a vehicle in this condition. No customer should receive a car back with obvious fitment issues, incomplete paint coverage, and visible defects after collision repairs. I cannot recommend this shop based on my experience. read more

Gieco referred me to Imperial and I am glad they did/partner with them Beyond professional. All team members are courteous and welcoming. My vehicle was taken care of within a week. They gave me great options for other services that I had done. I mentioned that the dealership where I get my oil change done said I needed new brakes. The service professional at Imperial said they could do that but it was not necessary just yet as the brakes are fine. This says a lot about their integrity. My husband used them as well and he also had a great experience. Even if your insurance doesn't take them, I would go to them and see what you can get filing an out of network claim. Imperial is the place to go! Also their reception area is very clean. I know that may not mean much but It shows the level of pride they have for their business. A clean and welcoming office/reception is an important first impression. I cannot recommend them enough! Also if you need a rental car, they partner with Enterprise who was also great. The best experience ever. The estimator, Dikran was very attentive, answered my questions and explained everything to me. I came in with two dents and a lot of scraped paint on the rear passenger door. Imperial made the repairs and the door, was perfect. Dents were gone and the paint job was flawless. This was my second time in 8 months working with Imperial Auto Body due to my car being hit while parked in the street. Both times the staff was very helpful and the entire process from checking in and getting rental to updating me about estimate/repairs and picking up the vehicle was seamless! They were able to fix my car in 5-7 days both times. All the staff members I interacted with were very welcoming and professional and made sure I had a good experience. I am disappointed that when I came to pickup my car, which was supposed to be ready or completed but wasn't. Had an accident to my Mazda 3, which messed up the driver side. Imperial was very prompt and professional. The car was seen and assessed quickly and accurately. They gave me a specific day to drop off and were very good at communicating when the car would be ready. The work was done incredibly quickly, and I am impressed by the thoroughness of it. They detailed every part they replaced or repaired, which included fittings, sensors, etc. Really excellent quality work! The car looks just like New and that is saying something. I would absolutely use them again. I had used a local placed in Petworth owned by a family for a few years. Their work had been good but the last 2 times were very average (sprayed car the wrong color blue!). Due to the accident, I was required to go with a State Farm network repair shop. When a momentary lapse of attention in stop-and-go traffic on I-95 left my car looking like a one-eyed pirate in need of an eye-patch, I was heartbroken. I've seen *way* too many cars where the repair-job was so obvious: one panel a little lighter or darker than the other, one with a little too much or too little metallic flake, or too big or too small a flake. It was always just so painfully obvious that the car had been in an accident. So I never thought that this car would be the same again. "Damaged." "Busted." "Broken." were the words running through my head. When they wheeled the car out after about a week and a half of shop-time, the only word that came to mind was: "Flawless." Absolutely, perfectly flawless. Even in direct sunlight, where you can see the metallic flake of the repaired panel right up against the factory original panel, there is no discernible difference to my eyes. Joe and Bryce kept me up to date, often calling me before I thought of calling them. They not only went to bat for me with the insurance company when there was additional hidden damage discovered (which I would expect) but also when a seemingly unrelated part was discovered to have been damaged as well (which I did not). They didn't give up until the part was covered... I hope they don't take this the wrong way, but I hope I never see them again. :-) But if I ever have to, the first and only stop will be Imperial Auto Body. read more

Truly never thought I would feel so passionate about an auto body shop in my life, but here I am. My fiancé and I were in a hit and run and chose Imperial based off these reviews. We had an easy time working with them and insurance on an estimate. Dropped our car off on a Monday and by Thursday EOD it was all set. The repair was perfect. Our 8-month old car came back looking newer by the impeccable detail and washing by the team, which they seem to throw in. I would truly come here just for a detail alone. Imperial did a great job on my 2014 Beetle after it got dinged on both sides by careless people parking next to me on two separate occasions. The folks at Imperial did an outstanding job with the body work and restored the car to better than its previous condition. A couple of weeks ago I got my car repaired at Imperial Auto Body of DC. I have had a wonderful experience working with Imperial. They are extremely professional, organized, timely and completed excellent body work. They also worked seamlessly with my insurance company- so much so that I never had to get involved after dropping the vehicle off. They had to replace the entire backend of my vehicle after a hit and run, and it looks like the accident never happened. I also really appreciated that they cleaned the inside and outside of it and I think they also waxed it for me before calling me to pick it up. Every time I called I was able to get someone knowledgeable on the phone and was able to get my questions answered immediately. They scheduled me about a week out to bring my car in for repairs. They seem to have a good handle on what they can get done and then complete the work early. I even brought my car back to them a week later to put on a license plate bracket and they did it free of charge. I would definitely recommend this shop and I will definitely be using them for all of my car body work needs in the future. read more

ABSOLUTELY SENSATIONAL! I was involved in a car accident and needed my car (2020 Mazda CX-30 Preferred) repaired quickly due to a requirement to drive to work and insurance not fully covering the rental car (I would've had to pay $100+ per day even with the highest level of rental car coverage and would have had to get special permissions from my work to bring a rental car on site). I originally reached out to 4 separate repair shops to get estimates on the time frame for repairs. 1 place told me they could get everything except the front bumper and the bumper would take 4 extra weeks until it'd come in. Imperial told me that they had everything except the Fender, which would take 3 weeks to come in. I asked Imperial to work with the other repair shop to find their supplier for the bumper AND IMPERIAL AUTO BODY DID. So instead of a 3-4 week wait, I got my car back within 10 days. The quality of the repair work is exceptional. They matched the red paint perfectly and it truly looks like nothing ever happened. They also calibrated the car (suspension was slightly off due to the accident) and it drives like a DREAM. I will forever be immensely grateful for the work they perform and recommend them to anyone and everyone. They very clearly care about the customer and are willing to think outside the box to help get cars repaired quickly, even with a national part shortage. Customer service was also sensational. They called me regularly with updates on my car and apologized profusely when they had to add a couple of days of repairs (this happened because of damage they could not see in the original assessment the insurance sent). To anyone still reading this: I still recommend getting second opinions because each repair shop has different networks that do not always overlap, but this is the place.
