I had sent out my picture of my car (my paint was chipping off) to different auto shops and they all came back with a price. Karl asked me to come to his stop and I was gladly to drive (from VA) for him to see the damage. I arrived and he took a look at the issue and explained to me what needed to be done and how it it was going to get fixed. The other shops didn't really do that and so I greatly appreciated it that he explained it to me. Other places that I reached out just felt like I was just another car. Karl really treated me like I was a customer with a car that really wanted to get it fixed. He went out of his way to talk to me via email (I'm deaf and it's much easier for me to email rather than get on the phone) and we kept in communications on when I could get it done and where I could leave my car prior to Monday. 4 days later, I go pick up my car and it looks like it's coming off of the parking lot. I fell in love with it all over again. He explain again what happened and what they did. AND THEY CLEANED MY CAR! I haven't washed my white car since July because of that paint chip. Highly recommended this place and recommend this company. Talk to Karl, he'll take care of you and your car. read more

A few months ago a car backed into my car. I visited several auto repair shops and TBH, there's not a lot of variation in the estimate for an injured BMW (AKA "burn my wallet."). However, Karl and the folks at Imperial were noticeably more responsive, explanatory and just plain pleasant in a situation where frustration and expense is the norm. They also clocked in cheaper than the other estimates. I can't recommend Karl and this company highly enough. read more

I made an appointment with Karl for an estimate of two spots on my Lexus, where I misjudged the space in a parking garage next to a concrete column, one of which was one week old. Karl immediately examined the car, discussed options that were much more moderate in costs than I initially thought I would have to pay. Without hesitation, he took a cloth and solution, worked on the areas, and they looked almost gone when he finished! He again gave advice on how to handle the few parts that needed repainting. I was overwhelmed by Karl's kindness and generosity. It blew my mind. If I ever need more serious work done, hopefully not, Karl is the person I will contact. Thank you, Karl, for making my day a lot more pleasant. read more

Fixed dent in bumper for a very reasonable price- whole process took 30 minutes for much less than I thought it would cost.

I brought my car in after getting a little too close to an SUV's rear end. They fixed it up for a pretty reasonable price considering the damage I did to it. They also had it ready about a week before they said it would be because the parts were readily available. Great service and great people to work with. Highly recommended. read more

Imperial did an outstanding job with front-end damage to my 2016 Mazda MX-5 that two other auto body shops had failed to fix correctly -- they did equally great work replacing the rear bumper -- Karl Poochikian was great to deal with -- would definitely go back to Imperial for any body work. read more

Very responsive staff, great work done in a timely manner. They kept us well informed throughout the process.

I would bring my car here to fix any day. The service is impeccable! Calvert and Edwardo are so amazing and thorough to work with. This is a top notch body shop. They keep you posted all the time. I trust them and their workmanship. Robin read more

I contacted Karl to help fix my car after a minor parking lot accident, and it was clear from the beginning that his five star reviews are well earned! Karl called immediately after I sent in my inquiry and not only walked me through the likely costs, but how to work with my insurance to cover those costs. He remained very communicative throughout the process of fixing the car, and finished right on time -- my car looks better than it has since I bought it. I can't thank Karl and his team enough for making this such a painless process, and for the great work! read more

I found IAB in Yelp; it was consistently top-rated. I spoke with Calbert in Rockville and decided to go with them. I'm glad I did! They did an excellent job removing the damage on the driver's side of my E350: extensive gouging on the rear door, wheel and wheel well. The dent in the rear door was bad enough to junk the door and completely replace it. When I picked up the car from the conveniently located Bethesda office, I was quite amazed at the results. So was my wife who gave IAB 9.9/10 (she's a tough rater). The service level was excellent and the job completed within 2 weeks. Karl did a professional job all-around, and I greatly appreciated his efforts. read more

Just had a great experience with Imperial Auto of Bethesda. We had another bid from a dealer and imperial came in with a better price. The work was finished ahead of schedule and they did a terrific job, they even cleaned the car inside and out. The service is what really set them apart from the others. The Bethesda office made the whole process so convenient as I was able to use the metro to drop off and pick up my truck. Carl was great with communication and kept me up to date. I highly recommend this terrific business. read more

Best body shop hands down! My car looks beautiful. Low-stress & simple process. They ensured that the damage was correctly repaired and worked quickly to process additional insurance supplements. Pickup and drop-off of rental was seamless with Enterprise right across the street. I had some unusual requests, and Anthony worked with me to make it all happen. THANK YOU IMPERIAL! read more

Imperial Auto Body - Fixed Car - Body Shops Near Me - Bethesda, Maryland

Needing auto body repair is a bummer - It never makes you happy. But I just had the best ever experience with Imperial Auto Body and specifically with Karl Poochikian. I compared reviews first and thought, "Yes, here's a good place." But I could not have imagined how good. Karl answered the phone; he was incredibly responsive to my calls and emails; he sent the estimate right away, working with me to reduce costs; and then got the repairs done in record time. The work Imperial did on the car is fantastic - It looks like a new car, even though it is years old. And, it was easy - I live in DC, but could walk to and from the Bethesda metro to where I dropped off and picked up the car. Imperial then transferred it to where the work was done in Rockville. Ten-plus stars to Imperial Auto and Karl Poochikian. read more

Never ended up using this place, because our son-in-law decided to go to the dealership for the body work. It was his car. Carl made a phone appointment and was on time and spent time explaining how the repair would be done and why sensors could be damaged by the accident. That meant they would make sure everything worked before fixing the rear bumper. He works with all insurance and can help with getting a rental car. I think he would be better than the dealership!! His office location is very convenient. read more

Carl and his crew did phenomenal work replacing the bumper on my Tucson after a minor fender bender. There was initially some concern over whether or not the job would be done before the holidays, but they ended up finishing a whole day ahead of schedule. They even went the extra mile and did a little bit of detail work on the interior of the car and hooked me up with some equipment to fix some pre-existing dings and scratches on the car as well. I hope that I don't need any more body work done in the near future, but if I do, you better believe that I'm coming to Imperial Auto. read more

Karl at Imperial Auto Body was very helpful and considerate. I got into a hit and run accident where we were unable to ever locate the other driver (It was a MAC truck on the highway). Imperial Auto Body worked with me to coordinate a good time to drop my car off so I didn't go to long without it. They exceeded my expectations, making my car look brand new and really worked with me to make the price affordable. It's hard to find an honest shop, but this is one of them. I would recommend Imperial Auto Body to anyone. read more

I was so happy with the whole process at Imperial. After I got in a car accident, Nationwide referred me here. Karl called me right away to schedule a drop-off, offering to come to the Bethesda location even though their main location is in Rockville. When I got there he explained everything thoroughly and was extremely professional and helpful. He kept me updated on the progress of my car and answered all of my many questions, even about the car rental from Enterprise. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone! read more

I highly recommend Imperial Auto Body based on the quality of their work and exceptional customer service. I have used them both when insurance is involved and not, the high quality customer care was consistent each time. Special shout out to Kevin for his quick, friendly and helpful response on my repair estimates and service. They are priced competitively and in some cases better than other (smaller) shops. They have a customer for life! read more

While my car was ultimately totalled, I live out of state, and imperial was phenomenal about getting the contents of my car shipped back to me. Super accommodating, and talked through all of the contents over the phone with me, while he was standing in the rain, to be sure that nothing got missed. read more

5 star service and fantastic quality repairs. Always very professional and service oriented, making your car feel safe in there hands.

Karl and his staff are top notch. My car was done a day early and was $ 150.00 less expensive than another estimate. Karl even offered to return my rental on the way to Metro. I will have my wife's car worked on there next. Nationwide turned me on to Imperial. I had two really bad experiences with Nationwide's approved body shops. Imperial was a great surprise. I will not take any of our three cars anywhere else! read more
