I've experienced a real downturn with follow through and customer service in so many locations since the pandemic began - the experience here reminded me of what great service really is. Kim called me every single day during the claims process to provide me updates. She knew what she was talking about - and even gave me a tip on how to lower my deductible. She was right - her tip cut my deductible by 50%. How awesome is that? Her brother gave a great explanation on the work to be done and how to address damage cause by a hit and run. This brother and sister team is fantastic. Just got the car back today and felt like I had to write something, though I rarely do, because the experience was so outstanding and my car looks and drives like new. When I showed up for the appointment, they told me they don't do estimates at all -- only straight repairs. No one mentioned this when I booked, so I wasted time setting aside for an appointment that shouldn't have been scheduled in the first place. What made it worse is that the shop was clearly not busy -- the garage and lot only had about 5 cars total and no other clients in sight, so there was no real excuse for turning me away. On top of that, the front desk clerk was rude and unwelcoming when I brought it up. Very disappointing experience and poor customer service. Would not recommend if you're looking to get a quote before committing to repairs.

Buyer Beware - My Experience with Kenwood in Frederick (Tesla Model Y Repair)…read more I had my Tesla Model Y repaired by Kenwood in Frederick after the liftgate was replaced, and I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the repair. After getting the vehicle back, I immediately noticed large panel gaps and poor alignment around the newly installed liftgate. The gaps are clearly visible in the attached photos. I also had the vehicle looked at by Tesla and another Tesla-certified collision center, and both indicated that the alignment is not within expectations. When I brought my concerns to Matt at Kenwood, he initially told me he didn't see any problem with the gaps. Later, he said he would speak with the shop director. Shortly afterward, I received a text stating that the director had declined to perform any additional repairs and that I would need to handle the issue on my own. I find this response completely unacceptable, especially after paying for what should have been a proper repair. As a customer, I expected the vehicle to be restored to factory-quality fit and finish, not returned with obvious alignment issues. I am currently exploring my legal options regarding this matter. If anyone else has had similar experiences with Kenwood in Frederick, particularly involving Tesla repairs or bodywork quality, I'd appreciate hearing from you. The attached photos show the alignment concerns that remain after the repair.

Don't go here!!!…read more Especially if you are going through your insurance!! It took months, at least 3, to repair simple damage to my car. When I first took it for an estimate they said 1 week 2 max for it to be ready. Then said 2 months to receive parts.. But then they keep upping the price and going back and forth with my insurance to get more money from them which took additional weeks for my car to be repaired. One example, they tried to charge my insurance an extra $300 for my car to be towed 1 mile to get a calibration done. When first of all my car was driving fine, only a small dent on my side. Second, they are also a towing company that owns their own tow trucks.. Now listen, I don't care at all about saving my insurance company money cause y'all know how much we pay them. What I do care about is them keeping my car for weeks while they go back and forth trying to squeeze them for every penny... I do understand the insurance company to refuse to pay the tow though... Another example, they said I needed a new rim ( cause it was scratched) and they are waiting for the dealer to send it.. I asked if they can just buff it out so I don't have to wait. And I don't care about little scratches on my rim.. But they told my they already charged the insurance for the new rim.. so i said fine I'll just get the new one but I will like to keep my old one anyway... they said ok.. when I finally went to pick up my car and asked where the old rim was they said they were able to just buff out the scratches... smh... I was so done with them at this point I was like whatever. That's not even all folks, when I finally picked up my car in January after dropping it off in October, the guy said "you are lucky the customer before you had his car here for 6 months and insurance didn't pay for everything he still had to pay thousands plus his deductible they really did him wrong"... I was just thinking no y'all did him wrong.. then I said "I wish I still had Geico cause then I can just drop my car off to one of their designated shops, given a rental in the same location and pick it up a week or 2 later".., he said "yeah well those shops don't do quality work like we do"... ok so my car was detailed and spotless but the rear door didn't line up with the frame so I'm like this doesn't look like quality work it's not even.. he's like let me have them fix it really quick.. I'm like really after all this time .. 30 mins later was better then it was but still not perfect and definitely not quality.. at this point I'm just going take it and be done cause I def didn't want to wait another month for it to be perfect.. I just said it's fine I need to go .. then he told me don't forget to give us a review on yelp that's how we get all our customers..smh... that's how I found this place in the first place.. but I'm like don't worry I will!!! Hope this helps and hope no one else gets suckered into taking their car here!!!
