He hopped in the car and drove 1 yard, immediately told me what he thought it was, and warned me to avoid driving the rest of the weekend as grinding the wheel in extreme heat was risky. He said to come back first thing Monday morning to get it lifted up and properly examined. Came back Monday and the team figured out I needed to replace the caliper and brakes. Price was fair and they said they could do it same day within 3 hours, so I let them work on it and had them do an oil change as well. I'm very grateful for Brian and his team, taking the time to explain what was actually needed and why, and not overselling me on additional services. Brian estimated that he could have my car fixed within a few days. The whole job took one week because he found other significant damage in the interior of my car which I didn't know about. Overall he communicated well, asked if I wanted to fix everything and had such a positive attitude. Also they do excellent work for a reasonable price. I almost wanted to keep this gem to myself but the world (or Silver Spring) needs to know where to go for superior auto care whether mechanical or auto body. They also cleaned the interior of my car. Honestly, I still have my Pennsylvania state inspection sticker on my windshield and it threw me for a loop. According to PA my vehicle was still in good legal standing there until August, it didn't click until now that I needed to get it in legal standing in Maryland. I finally bit the bullet and did a search of garages that would do the inspection near me and with the help of Yelp I found a highly rated, locally and family owned garage nearby. Before coming I called ahead, left a message with what I was looking for, and waited for a call back. When I got a call back from them I got all the information I needed and asked about how long it would take and cost. Brian was amazing. He was upfront with me on every aspect of what to expect. Luckily for me, if I had my vehicle there soon I would be able to have my vehicle inspected and ready to go around lunchtime. When I showed up at the establishment Brian was there to greet me. He did my intake and answered all my questions. I'm sure he could tell I was anxious. I went about the rest of my morning and when lunchtime rolled around, and I literally stepped away from my computer I got a message that my vehicle passed the inspection and was ready to pick up. He even told me that my oil was low and he would top it off for me if I'd like. I said please do. When I got back to the establishment all I had to do was pay and be on my way. However, I had more questions and they were happy to answer my multitude of questions. I had such a great experience here that they surely gained a customer out of me for as long as I live in this area. I liked how upfront they were here. They also identified an additional issue with my left front low-beam headlight that required further diagnosis after replacing the bulbs. Initially, I was informed that a light needed to be functional for the vehicle to pass inspection. The shop contacted me on March 3 with an estimate outlining the recommended repairs, along with pictures showing the issues that needed attention. I appreciated the photos and the detailed breakdown because they helped me understand what needed to be repaired. The estimate was $1,673.70, including tax, with the following breakdown: Labor: $1,000.80 Parts: $589.80 Hazardous materials: $30.02 Shop supplies: $17.69 Subtotal: $1,638.31 Taxes: $35.39 Total estimate: $1,673.70 While I appreciated the transparency of the estimate and the excellent customer service from the front office, the overall price was higher than I anticipated. They told me they didn't sell tires at first, which I didn't know, but I told them they would hear from me with updates as the day progressed. When I called them to let them know when I would be coming, they said "see you soon", and greeted me warmly once they were done with something in the garage. They said they could take care of my car within the hour, and I was thrilled!! I didn't use my own car to get there, so I had to do some coordinating first, but as soon as I got back, the car was done within 10 minutes, I paid what I found to be a great price, and I was on my way. If not for the situation I was in, I would not have found them. I would definitely recommend! By the way, they have the coolest mural in the garage.

I arrived at the shop 20-30 min after that phone call and found that the car would not start when I arrived. As mentioned previously the car was running and was driven to their shop and had to be towed out. The owner states they would like to handle this offline. As stated they will not return my calls and in the time it took to write that response he could have called me but did not. They did not charge me (I would hope not after damaging my car and performing unauthorized work) but it cost me $1200 to just to repair the damage they caused. The receipt is attached. I don't want anything from them at this point beyond admitting their mistakes and an apology for damaging my car and lying to me about it. But I know that's not going to happen so I just want to warn others to beware of this shop. Use their services at your own risk.
