Everyone we spoke with was very helpful with our questions regarding Phoenix Pavers. We are considering a paver pathway in our backyard yard. Got some great ideas and hope to order some soon. read more

For the last 9 years of using this company and the thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars I've spent. I'm done, they've always been rude in the past but today I'll never go back worst customer service, Rudy is a rude prick, worst customer service and information I've ever received. I'll never go back. read more

I could never make it in, since they close at 4:00 pm Monday - Friday and they are closed on the weekends. I called one day to see if they could help me process an order over the phone and the person who answered the phone was not nice or helpful i felt like they did not want to sell anything. read more

I came here Aug 17, 2017 for my first time. I am a senior do-it-yourselfer. HD and Lowes did not have grey paver set, which I really wanted red, because my paving is red brick. I needed red to fill the spaces so the weeds don't come out from between the cracks. HD referred me to Marvel, because their computer says red is "out of stock" which usually means discontinued. The Marvel employee I called several days ago, called the manufacturer to ask about the red, and he called me back to say it was discontinued due to source of that colored sand was no longer available. Darn! When I went to pick up the grey polymer sand, there were two guys at the counter, both were on the phone for a long time. i think I waited 10 min. There were other people standing there. but after one got off the phone, I was next, and he took care of my order right away. I went to the yard and someone on a forklift saw me and came to attend my pick up immediately. If it were not for the 10 min wait, I would give them 5 stars. No wait would be ideal, but I cannot expect the company to spend more $ for another employee, if sometimes third employee has to fritter time away, cos the counter was not THAT busy at the time I came in. HD/Lowes polymer sand was $20 for 40 lb bucket. Marvel's was $27 for a 50 lb bag read more

In my professional, opinion I would not purchase any product from this company. Marvel Building & Masonry Supply/ Border Our one-and-only experience with them has been a complete nightmare in our eyes. We were contracted to install a finer cement panel on the exterior of a building. Nichia, who is the manufacturer directed us to contact it's local distributor Marvel Building & Masonry Supply/ Border to purchase the material through. We provided Marvel/Border with an purchase order with the correct product, quantity, and color. We received a conformation back from Marvel/Border that matched our purchase order. We had requested that the material be delivered to our office. They delivered it to the job site instead. Mistake #1 Once we got to the job site and installed the product all seemed well. This was until a few weeks later when the architect informed the general contractor and us that the material color of the Niche panel was incorrect. Upon investigation, we learned that Marvel/Border had provided the material in a different color to other similar buildings and so, without checking with us, unilaterally decided to change the color when it ordered from Niche even though Marvel/Border's conformation to us had the correct color on it. Being that this was our first time working with this product we did not know the difference in hues in the color from what was order and what was shipped and ultimately installed. The owner, who was only a few weeks away from closing the building, had a major problem on his hands. Marvel/Border informed us that it would not replace the material even though they it made the decision to change the color without permission or notice In the end, the owner required us to write it a $30k deductive Change order to accept the incorrect color panel on the building. In our opinion, Marvel/Border made the mistake, but it won't own up to it and pay for it. Based on our experience with Marvel/Border, buyer beware when you purchase any product from Marvel/Border if it makes a mistake, you may get the same treatment that we did? read more

People in front desk had attitude for no reason worst customer service- Romero g landscaping

They don't seem to care about our business. They botched our delivery because they thought they didn't have the stones, even though they did. They were rude, unhelpful, and about an hour and a half late. They didn't think any of this was a problem. We'll try one other local place. We have about $10k in landscaping lined up, but if the local guys are all this indifferent to small orders, I won't trust them with the large ones. Marvel certainly isn't getting a second chance. read more

Theses guys kind of suck. They sold me stuff I didn't need and the lady behind the desk doesn't know anything about the products. I needed to return some extra material and there is no way to do it without a receipt. It sucks when it's easier to go to Home Depot. I guess I need to find a new brickyard. read more

My 1st experience with Marvel it took them 2 weeks to get pavers transferred from their Bell Rd yard to the Indian School location. I made more than 6 calls and 3 visits before I could get any results. Spring 2019. March 2020-I returned to purchase identical pavers and delivery was scheduled. We received a call the day before to confirm. When the time came and went and no delivery I had to take 2 hours, made 5 phone calls and finally a visit to the Indian School office to find out the order got lost. Monday my order was confirmed for delivery and by Tuesday it was lost. Apparently their "new" system isn't sufficient enough to keep track of their client's orders. Now the best part. At the time of delivery the situation got confrontational and their driver lost control of himself when his conversation took the wrong direction. read more

Every-time I go to this exact location (not all marvels) I get very amateur service, the two people in the front take their time ringing anyone up & the three times I have been in the office the lady gets the size of my block wrong and assumes it's one thing instead of asking, they have a yard guy now that doesn't know what he's doing and asks me if this is the correct block when they should have working professionals out in the field 10/10 wouldn't recommend this location. You can't even use their bathroom read more

The guys at Marvel are outstanding! They make it fun to do business there - they're super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They also make returns as simple as can be. They might not always be the least expensive of the bunch but the customer service is on point! read more

The employees here need some serious training. They have no concept of customer service. They also have supply chain issues (always out of product and never know when it is coming in). I have tried Marvel a few times and each time the experience got worse. Will never go back now. read more

Great inventory and nice (but slow) counter staff. The "boyz" in the yard have attitude. More fun driving the fork lifts than helping customers. Time for some housekeeping, I think. read more

I had a very good experience! I sent a vague email describing the type of pavers I wanted over to them and they were very prompt in their response. They sent me all the different types of pavers that fit the specs I wanted and they were very affordable. I had several questions and they were very accommodating through email and responsive. I walked in and ordered in person just so that I could see the pavers before I ordered and they were delivered one week later to my driveway! Very easy, convenient, and helpful. read more

Way over priced for many of their products. Better to purchase from Home Depot! The Gate Supplier promised delivery, and did not make it when he said it would be ready! Jerk! Cost me time and money because of their delays. read more

I'm not happy with Marvel and would not use them again. I agree, they don't care about their customers. I ordered 3 tons of gravel and was told THEY would call between 7am-12PM on the day we set up for delivery. WE called THEM at 10:30 to get an update and was told that it was very busy at the quarry. The question remains, why didn't anyone call us, the customer and how is it our fault that it's busy at the quarry? They ended up delivering after 2pm and we wasted half a day waiting for Marvel. I'm very frustrated with this place and will never use them again! read more

Well it's no hometown customer service here! All corp rules. Yes I made the mistake of not checking when they open on a Saturday morning. Got to mesa store at 7am all the employees are at the store for morning meeting Mind you its summer in AZ and every contractor starts by at least 6am cause of the heat! . Which they do open at 6am during the week. My order is paid for from the being of the week all they have to do is load it . Will they, no we don't open till 8 sir company rules. Again my fault for not checking first. So here I sit by the front door for an hour . read more

As my husband has been re-doing landscaping and building our courtyard, we've been here several times and are 0 for 4. Today's example: we looked at several samples of stone and went inside to see how much a bag of one type was. The response was that they don't carry bags, only 5 ton minimums plus a $95 delivery charge. Then, we asked about smallish boulders, like those we saw near the stone samples. They replied, "Yes, we have those, they are 10 cents a pound, but they are really heavy." So we asked about how much the small boulders (as in 2.5 feet or smaller) weighed or about how much they cost....and they had no idea. In fact it was almost like they didn't want us to buy anything. weird. It would have not been so bad, except this was our 4th trip there and they have nothing we needed or asked for, and didn't seem to be upset by that at all. We also went to another local place before resorting to Home Depot. sad :( read more

Not happy with Marvel....have to agree that they don't care about their customers. I ordered 10 tons of rocks and scheduled a 7am delivery time. It is now 11:30am and they still aren't here. I lost half a day of work and have been paying workers who have been standing around all morning because the materials aren't here. Very frustrated with this place and will never use them again! read more

well first of all I had no idea what I was going to purchase all I knew I wanted Pavers in my back yard and they recommended this place, I arrived right at opening 6 am. and Joe front desk was very helpful in helping me in what I needed, he was very knowledgable on materials and tools I needed, Prices were a lot cheaper than Home depot, not sure why people are saying front desk guys were rude, not in my case, they were very much helpful and courteous to me and all of my questions, awesome staff thanks read more

Marvel's doesn't even deserve one star. Their delivery charge goes up every month while customer service goes down. This is a company that's gotten too big for its britches & seemingly forgotten it's the customer who pay their salaries. i've started using MDI Rock in phoenix. $65 reliable deliveries & friendly service. Hit 'em where it hurts & Marvel will come around soon enough. read more
