The cashier Abigail ask me to show ID for an item I returned with receipt. She said policy changed. If return is longer than 30 days, even you have receipt, she have to return it as no receipt and record the ID. But she insists new policy is like that. As I know most shop limit no receipt return. If I have receipt, I don't want them count me as no receipt.

There bathrooms are disgusting you would think they would have a clean bathroom because of how many wonderful items they have in the store but no.

I picked up a couple collectible items for my boyfriend since he's a big fan and the item was in the shape of a ball along with a handful of other items overall totally in $100. To make it easier to hold, I put my items in the empty box that the collectible item was displayed in. The empty box is just a cardboard box with my boyfriend's favorite character printed on the side. When I went to go checkout at the self checkout the monitor person moved to stand nearby me in a corner as if I was attempting to not scan everything or steal something. She can clearly monitor me from her station in the front of the self checkout registers. I'm not sure why she would move to be that close to me unless she's assuming I wouldn't scan everything. After checking out at the self checkout I asked the lady monitoring the self checkout if I could take the empty box. She said it was fine and I put my items inside. A guy stopped me before leaving the store and said customers aren't allowed to take the displays. I assume the guy was a worker even though he didn't have a name tag or company dress code on. He was just chatting with the security girl in the front before I was leaving the store so it could be a friend of the security guard. They need to have consistent rules between all employees so they can inform customers. If they're just going to throw the box away afterwards then why can't I just take it. This experience has left a bad impression of this location.

The closest Target that has it is in Hayward, but I'm not traveling all the way there fore that. Anyways, kinda disappointed that they don't sell much electronics there since some are out of stock. Hopefully, they have it once I return.

We found the infants area just fine because Target usually keep it around the same place. We found the baby food that we wanted and also other stuff too. So I went back to try and return it but no one was working the counter at customer service. I asked another worker who was doing the drive up delivery and he said someone would come soon. This isn't the only thing I want to talk about. I heard that they're making big changes here. I saw that they closed their Starbucks as well as other sections from the store with white curtains or something. They moved some of the refrigerators to do the renovations I think. Also, some parts of the areas were quite empty. I wonder what the big changes are but I don't think much is really going to change anyways. I think they should start stocking up electronics and their accessories again, but I don't think that will happen. Target has really changed. Back then, there were many electronics. Now, it's nearly empty probably because most people shop online nowadays.

This used to be 24 hrs back in the day, but those days are behind us. Their hours are still pretty generous tho like 7 am to 11 pm. If I do venture in here, I'll try and do it early am like 9am as to avoid most of the crowd and chaos. I usually stay away from any food shopping here, unless there is a sale up front like bananas or juice that I can quickly grab without going down a food aisle. There's no meat counter/section here but there are reach in fridges with some prepackaged stuff. And because this is Union City, I amusingly find Filipino products here that I'm sure aren't at other locations. I usually come here for big bags of charcoal. They have a great selection from briquets to natural mesquite to pellets. They are all in the gardening section on a massive rack. And they will be at a price that is better than most, which Walmart is actually beneficial for. I'll also grab outdoor/work clothes here. For those occasions when I'm planning on getting clothes wrecked like for camping/working in the yard/home improvement projects. The nature of the store is evolving, in that more and more things are locked up. Which is a sad commentary on our society actually. Socks, belts, even toothpaste can be locked up, and to find someone to open a case up is usually more cumbersome than it has to be. Which is why 1-2 times a year for a few specific things is more than enough for me. See ya after Labor Day when my dual bag of charcoal needs to be replenished.

I don't know why I still come here. Last time I bought something, went to self checkout, and found out the security alarm was still on when I got home, even after I thought someone removed everything. This wasn't the first time it happened at this location. To avoid coming here again, that time I went to a different location to have the alarm taken off and had no issue. I really don't see the point of self checkout at this location as others said. It provides no benefit here and is not that much faster, as you still have to go to another counter to get alarms, security tags and whatever the hell else removed. Plus they want proof of receipt/checking your items here. Today, I figured I'll give it another chance, but when I tried to pay with the cashier to try and avoid any mishaps, the lady says they don't have any bags. I was thinking like what the hell? You're a store, how can you not have bags? I told her I didn't want the item any longer and walked out. This was the last and final straw. Too bad, I'll have to stick with other locations. This location doesn't seem to care about helping customers or doing their job properly.

I walked back to the fitting room and politely reminded her. She said, "Oh yes, I'll open it now." I went back and waited another five minutes, and once again, no one showed up. It was very frustrating because this was an emergency for my child. In the end, we had to leave the store without making our purchase. I understand that restrooms may need to remain locked, but when an employee tells a customer they will open the door, they should follow through--especially when a child urgently needs to use the restroom. I hope customer service improves so other families don't have the same experience.

There's a lot to go through but if there's something specific, check out the section of the store that best fits that item. They have clothing, furniture, jewelry, electronics, bathroom essentials, kitchenware, as well as goodies for children and pets. I came here specifically in search of an espresso machine - I've been hoping to find something for a long time now. After perusing the other departments, I headed toward the registers and found what I was looking for! $150 off the list price was quite a bargain in my opinion and was exactly what I was looking for. The high end appliances and items seem to be locked up with magnetic anti-theft devices and this machine was no exception. Happy with my find, I headed through the snaking line toward the registers, which are abundant and managed by staff at the ready to complete the transaction. The staff were friendly, efficient, and not at all too pushy with selling their promotional store credit card which would have yielded more savings on this purchase. The transaction was quick and seamless. With the purchase also refundable, it made it just that much more reassuring to have shopped here. Overall, HomeGoods/TJ Maxx is quite a staple as a bargain store for many communities and this one is no different. The items for purchase is abundant, in good quality, and unique for those looking for some additional accent to add to their living space. Most of the staff are found near the registers with a few occasionally walking through the corridors to restock or organize a bit. It's comfortable shopping here with well ventilated air and sectioned off departments for more intentional buying. They also have a bathroom for patrons to use. For those also looking for home appliances like me, this is a great place to start - one of the few reasons to still shop at brick and mortar shops!
