Stopped by at the Osgood Walmart location at the request of my sister in law. Apparently this store is more spacious and offers a lot more than our nearby Walmart. Yes, at first glance the traffic flow seems a lot lighter than my normal go-to Walmart but that only seemed like the case in the clothing section. Once I left that department, I was met by bumper to bumper cart traffic and a whole lot of weaving and dodging other customers. While I wouldn't classify this Walmart as being terrible, the biggest letdown and difference from this store vs my normal would be the substantially smaller produce area. This Walmart seems to specialize and offer more processed/frozen goods as opposed to fresh fruits and veggies. 3 stars.

It's just an example of food before you eat you need to have all tools to eat so you enjoy the meal right?

A friend of mine at work would always tell me that he was going to make a video game called "Walmart pro greeter". In this game, your goal would be to become a pro greeter at Walmart but you would have work your way up the ladder. You would start out at a small convenience store and then move to bigger locations until you made it to the pro level at Walmart. Unfortunatelly for you and the world, ea never green lit this fantastic game idea. And now Walmart doesn't even have greeters. This skill will be lost forever and the young ones will never know what it was like. Young kids will never have the opportunity to wonder, "do greeters have any authority to stop me from leaving?" The greeters have now been replaced by a person in a t-shirt that says "security" which makes it sound more official but can they officially stop you to scan your receipt? We've somehow lost the better Walmart in Fremont and now only have one on osgood. The other one was busy so I'm not sure what happened. I'll have to ask nextdoor. This does have better fast food restaurants in the lot tho. Subway is now inside walmart instead of mcdonald's. useless trivia, these subways inside of walmart are all franchises. someone volunteerily paid a license fee to set up a subway in walmart and also a fee to subway to own a subway. This is the only walmart in fremont so it is the best walmart in fremont. This location does not have the big deli/produce section you would see in Milpitas but hopefully, they will upgrade it. Maybe they'll finally open a sam's club in the area since they closed the other walmart.

Ok, I am a nut for 100% fruit juice. For decades, I've been going to Target, Lucky, and Safeway. And recently, I've been ordering on Amazon. As a quick data point. Just recently, Target had 2 flavors I wanted. Amazon had 4. Walmart? **7**! And not only that, you actually had them all in stock too! Big win! I will be back. Yaay!

I dropped my car off for tire service at 3:05 PM and expected a routine visit. After checking in, I used the restroom, grabbed food, and started shopping. Around 4:00 PM, I checked the service link and saw my service had been marked as "stopped," yet no one contacted me, even though my info was on file. I had to call to ask what was going on. Only after that call did a new service ticket appear and work resume, which made it feel like my car had been forgotten. I was later told my car had been pulled out and then brought back in due to internal confusion. What should have been simple tire service took over 2.5 hours, and I didn't get my car back until around 5:30 PM. Despite the delays caused by poor communication and time management, I was still charged about $35. Customers shouldn't have to monitor their own service or call to get work restarted. Very frustrating experience.

    Arrival

Had a 4 pm appointment today and at 5 pm my car still wasn't touched. When I said something they claimed they were backed up, but I found out another car with a 5 pm appointment was in the bay before mine. They forgot my car, didn't admit it and didn't offer any kind of compensation for my time. I arrived at 4 and left at 6:20. A long time, AND THE LAST TIME, to install 2 tires. I'm cancelling my oil change for next week too.

I have shopped at quite a few Walmart's in the bay area and this Walmart by far is the cleanest and well organized store I have ever seen.

The next morning, I noticed that my total had not changed. And I was still being charged for the pizza even though it was unavailable, and I didn't pick it up. I had received no email or notice from the app saying they would refund the pizza. So I called at 5am the next morning and there was no manager on site until 7am. So I went down in person to inquire with a manager about how the refund process works on an online pickup order when an item can't be fulfilled. I talked to Dane and he referred me to Lorenzo, who was the online grocery pickup order lead. I was explaining to him how I didn't get any notice of a.Refund being sent at all and with any other place. When you do online pickups, and they can't fulfill part of your order, they automatically start a refund process or notify you. Apparently the safeway app does not. I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to be charged for it. I told him it sucks that I had to waste my gas and my time to come down here to find this out. And at this point lorenzo told me "well, you should have called". I said I did call at 5am and there was no manager here. And they told me nobody would be here until seven am. And at this point, his attitude changed, and Lorenzo started lecturing me on everything that I should have done that I already did, which is not how you handle talking to a customer. I have worked in customer service for twenty four years and if I talked to my customer like this, my boss would write me up and fire me within two minutes flat. He also told me "well, you should have called later." I told him well you know how long it took to get any department to answer the phone when I did call? About five minutes and calling back four times and talking to different departments. I did not appreciate his attitude and the gall to tell me and lecture me what I should be doing during my day. The proper response would have been "I Apologize. I'm sorry that the app didn't let you know, but yes, it will refund in a few days". But he had to be unprofessional and get an attitude and get in my business, which is not his job and not how he should be acting at his job with customers. A terrible employee that clearly needs retraining on how to interact with customers. I work 2 jobs and I work really hard.I do not need a Lead at Safeway telling me what to do in my life or how to do it. That's none of your business.

Raley's, a shrinking brand here in this part of the bay, still holds a large footprint in downtown Fremont. Benefiting from the big parking lot shared by many eateries, cafes, and specialty stores and entertainment, the grocery chain welcomes many to its storefront and keeps them coming back with their weekly deals. Some of the parking spots are tight but there are spaces all around the shopping center if you're willing to walk. But once you're settled, head on inside and be prepared to shop! Be sure to join their free membership to maximize savings (aside from their weekly deals, they have some specials on Mondays and during holidays). A jarring sight, however, is the security officer standing watch at the front entrance which makes you wonder if their presence is due to a necessity or simply a security protocol for deterring that necessity. From all the visits I've made, the security personnel are just as friendly as the store's staff who are frequently traversing through sections to restock, check inventory, and help customers. As you continue walking in, you'll pass the dining space and prepared food section where you'll find fried foods, stirfrys and soups sitting in warmers. Nearby food stations also host a good collection of more freshly prepared foods and a deli for sandwiches. The prices can be decent with their added discounts at times, but I've yet to be hungry enough to try. The biggest impression for me at this store is their dedicated produce section. Organics as well as fruits and vegetables of the season are in full display, vibrant in color and heaped in abundance. Some of their more perishable produce may be found in the chilled cases on the side. In addition, I'm a big fan of their seafood and meats section as the staff behind the counter are friendly and helpful. The selection can be minimal during peak times but the quality seems to be pretty good for the value. Their bread, cereal, and coffee sections are also well stocked and we've also been able to find some solid pumpernickel bread as well as Dutch crunch French bread. After perusing the store and piling your cart, you'll head to the registers, however in all my visits so far, we have been able to use the self checkout which, for the most part, has been a good experience. The staff float around and are helpful in the event that an item needs to be cancelled or a SKU needs to be looked up. A few areas of improvement would include their water fountains by the bathrooms which haven't worked in our visits and general bathroom upkeep. Overall, Raley's does a great job welcoming folks near and far to their well stocked store, serving fresh and on-sale items. The store is organized and frequently refreshed with new stock by their band of employees roaming the aisles with smiles. You'll also find that patrons here are quite friendly - almost a neighborly feel to it. If you're in the area and need a quick bite or a pantry run, Raley's has what you need and for a good price, too!
