My husband and I came in to see Anu's selection at the shop in early March. She was so sweet to let us just walk in after hours on a Friday night at like 8pm, that meant a lot to us. We were having a rush wedding in under 2 months, so we assumed we would only have time to buy outfits off the rack and not get anything custom made - but Anu made it happen! She worked so hard and got our outfits to us by mid-April! I walked in with barely any vision of how I wanted my lengha, I just knew I wanted it simple and light pink and in my tight budget, and Anu really took it from there. She took this simple lengha design that I liked and turned it into a full on bridal lengha! At first I was just going along with whatever she liked, but it really was a "trust the process" experience. She made my entire bridal piece look incredible. I especially cannot rave enough about how gorgeous my dupattas were. Anu also created my husband's sherwani, shawl, pagh, and juttis. She dyed all the fabric together so there wasn't a hint of difference in the pink between our outfits. Everyone loved how well our outfits complimented and matched each other. Preet's sherwani fit like a gem and he looked so handsome! Anu is really great to work with, very nice and always helpful. She really knows what she's doing and if you have the time she can create awesome pieces for you. Anu - Preet and I appreciate you and your hard work so much! Thank you for making us look so great on our special day

I could not have imagined a more perfect wedding outfit than what Anu designed…read more Being queer, I felt frustrated by the lack of Indian wedding outfit options that aligned with my gender expression. Nothing on the internet seemed representative of what I wanted to wear. It was even harder to shop in person as I didn't know which stores would be homophobic or which stores would welcome me. Finding B Anu Designs was like finding a beacon of light. Anu's team was welcoming and made me feel safe. She was able to capture the essence of my vision and transform it into something beautiful. I wanted something masculine but extremely feminine at the same time. I wanted something traditional but also modern. I wanted an outfit that I could feel gorgeous in and comfortable. Anu was able to deliver that and much more. In addition to my wedding outfit, Anu designed a series of outfits for me and my wife to wear at my sister's wedding. We wanted something coordinating in an obvious, but elegant way. Anu was able to deliver just that with our reception outfits. Throughout the process, I do wish there was more communication during the design phase. One of the blouses came back with a design we were not so fond of. We had voiced this concern to Anu and she listened and responded immediately. She was able to quickly rectify the situation and assuage our anxiety. Anu is always open to feedback and looking to improve. Overall, I am very satisfied with B Anu Designs. She is very talented. If you're queer and none of the outfits seem to be what you want, you can trust Anu to design it for you!

When I texted asking about the status, I was told they were ready for pickup and that I could come in for a trial fitting. However, when I arrived, it became clear that the tops had not been altered at all, despite me paying for those alterations. My order had either been forgotten or not properly tracked. The pants were also very poorly hemmed. When I initially pointed it out, my concerns were dismissed and I was repeatedly told everything looked "fine" and "that's how they're suppose look".After looking more closely, the hemming was clearly uneven and poorly done which even she couldn't deny. On top of that, one of the pants had a stain, and the tops were leaving cuts and rashes on my arms due to the stitching/material. Given the amount I spent overall, I was very disappointed by both the quality of the alterations and how my concerns were handled afterward. Overall, I found the experience extremely disappointing given the amount high reviews she has. I would personally avoid this business. The pricing was very high for the quality provided, and I did not feel there was much accountability or customer care when serious issues with the outfit and alterations were raised.

I was impressed by the amount of different outfits they had available in the store and also thought everything was very reasonably priced, even the fancier lehengas were more budget friendly and I thought very reasonable compared to similar outfits at probably any other shop I've seen (I also checked out 4-5 other shops in the area). The shop owner was also extremely patient and helpful, we almost wanted to buy everything just because she was so kind. She wasn't pushy and was very willing to help us find what we were looking for and also very helpful finding coordinating blouses and dupattas for a skirt we liked. I would highly recommend this shop and will keep it in mind for my personal, future Indian outfit needs. They also have a cute section for kids which I thought was adorable :) definitely recommend!

She judges the book by its cover. She will not even make eye contact if you are in simple pj and top. She is egoistic and prejudice. She responded to our questions with such a " whatever" attitude. Btw she wear pretty much most of the outfit for her " show off sessions" on instagram, therefore the armpits and crotch area of outfit is unhygienic!!! Listen lady - no one cares if you have a body or money. What is importance is values and how you treat other people. Instead of showing off your body ( saggy boobs and discoloration on face) and showcasing your possessions, on insta get some manners from somewhere. We ended up getting an outfit and she quickly said, you can save money by venmo or zelle, so there is no paper trail or tax issues. Let me report you to IRS!
