In essentially 48 outfits we went from having nothing to wear to having the perfect outfits. Plus accessories with the option for hair and make up. Vama does it all. What made this experience great - the owner is incredibly helpful and accommodating. The quality vs price was above anywhere else we went. The staff goes above and beyond. Well guess what, the store is managed by Megha herself. We discussed designs colors, sleeves, neck all that stuff. She took my measurements and sent a few designs over in a couple of days. I chose my pick and everything happened like clockwork. Her team in India made the dress and shipped it to my house. She kept sending me updates of the progress. She helped me style the entire look. I didn't have to go through the struggles of measurements online or buying a dress here and traveling with it. I was absolutely in love with the dress, the work was so intricate and detailed and it fit like a glove. Planning an overseas wedding is hardwork and I'm so glad Megha handled this one big chunk and gave me a super awesome dress! I couldn't have been happier.

They have onsite tailoring with realistic timelines and prompt communication about when items are ready. One of the things that drew me to this shop is that they are not "in your face" pressuring you with a sale. You can look and then initiate a convo when you're ready and it's best to set an appointment if you're looking for bridal or grooms clothes. They are a family business who truly care about their customers being happy and take pride in the quality of their clothes. Their pricing is also transparent and listed on each item (I've been to other places where it seems sellers make up a price after "sizing you up".). To make matters worse, I found out that week that no one would be able to help me pleat and drape the saris that I'd planned to bring. I desperately searched for someone who could pre-pin my saris on short notice, but I didn't have much hope due to the timing. Luckily I found Chhavi, who not only responded to my query almost immediately, but found a way to accommodate my travel timing (I drove from Santa Rosa) so that I could fit our appointment into my work schedule. When I got there, she quickly measured me and explained exactly how she would pleat, iron and pin each sari. When I told her that I had failed to find a lehenga in time, she gave me a recommendation for a designer close by that I could check out while she worked on my saris. But when I mentioned I was concerned about the cost and time to tailor the fit, she took it a step further - she offered me one of her very own beautiful lehengas at a much lower cost! So within 90 minutes of me arriving, she had perfectly pleated, ironed and pinned two saris, she had acted as designer bringing me three lehengas to choose from, and had even altered the top for the lehenga that I chose. She also sent me detailed video instructions on how to put on and secure the pre-pinned sari. I had gone from being utterly unprepared to feeling like a princess ready to own the dance floor. I called Samudra sarees took an appointment and reached at @7pm to buy a dress for an upcoming office event. I called while parking my car, and I was told to knock on the door for somebody from their home to attend to the door. In spite of confirming an appointment, this lady was not home. I knocked at the door, and somebody came by the door ( visible through hazed glass) and left without opening the door. When I try to ring the doorbell again it did not work though the light was going in circles (probably a setting to disable on RING). But I saw another camera to the right side of the door that illuminated for a bit and then went off (Either somebody was watching through the camera - or- it was motion enabled ). 6 mins passed and I called again to let Kiran know that nobody bothered to attend the front door. She said she is somewhere out running some errands and that her mom will open the door for me. I waited patiently until 7:15 pm and nobody opened the door. I am super annoyed by this time, I saw a car pulling out of their driveway with a bunch of people and nobody bothered to ask me why I am standing in front of their door. I messaged the lady that I'm leaving at 7:16 she called me at 7:36 PM that she opened the door and don't see anybody. Wondering how can a sensible person expect people to wait in front of their door for 30 mins. the funny part is she messages me after 1 hour blaming me that I was at the wrong address because she doesn't see anybody at the door. I responded back asking her to check her cameras, she has installed RING on the left side and a camera to the ceiling on the right side of her front door.

Her inability to properly schedule appointments and have projects completed on time disqualifies "Said with Threads, LLC" as a viable option for having clothing alterations performed. If you are an East Bay resident and need alterations performed, please read the rest of this review before scheduling an appointment with this establishment. I've been going to Eileen since December 2024. Online reviews looked good, and her shop was near my house, which made it convenient for me. I encountered an odd issue with her during my first visit. She had informed me my pants were ready for pickup, and I specified the day/time I would be coming in. When I went to her shop for pickup, I called, and she informed me she had gone to deliver an order for someone else because she didn't think I would appear on time. I was completely baffled as to why she reached this conclusion and why she admitted it verbally. Between September and October 2025, I had requested that she perform alterations on some pants. On this occasion I was charged the day I left the articles with her and was assured they'd be ready on the date she had specified. Prior to picking them up, I called Eileen and informed her I was on my way. When she answered, she told me my pants were not ready and that she hadn't even started working on them. I was quite upset over this since more than a week had passed since I'd left the pants with her. About a month later, I brought in a blazer she had worked on previously and asked her to reattach the buttons, as some of them had come loose. Although she did not charge me for this, she assured me the blazer would be ready on time. She failed to have the blazer ready on time when I went to her shop. I went to go run some errands for about an hour, and when I came back, she had finished working on my blazer. This indicated that she did not need more than a week to work on my blazer and had procrastinated or otherwise failed to make good use of her time. What frustrated me, however, was the condition in which she returned my blazer. It was covered in lint/hair/debris and had a strange odor to it. I had dry-cleaned it prior to leaving it with Eileen, and her utter lack of regard for keeping it clean really upset me. Most recently, during December 2025, I requested an appointment two days in advance. I wanted her to hem some pants I needed for work. She had agreed to meet me at 11 am on a Wednesday. On the day of the appointment, I called her to let her know I had arrived. When she answered, she told me she had mistakenly marked my appointment for a different time/day and had left to attend to another client.
