Marshalls is a shop that's great when you're just hunting for bargains. Now if you're looking for something specific, you may or may not find something you want but if you do, you'll generally find something that's of good value and less than MSRP. This particular Marshalls can be hit or miss and I only go here once in a while, but when I do, I sometimes find the best things. L O C A T I O N Marshalls is located at The Great Mall in Milpitas. The parking here is nuts. It's just hard to find parking during peak shopping days and it's also nearby a restaurant so you're also competing for spots with them. Just be patient or park in areas where there's less traffic and just walk inside the mall to get to Marshalls. Luckily I've been able to find something nearby. I N S I D E It's a fairly spacious Marshalls. Home good areas is on the outer edge with clothing for women and men in the central area. Shoes are closer to the mall area entrance side. Two areas to check out. One near the mall entrance and one near the parking lot entrance. S E L E C T I O N This is where it can be a hit or miss. They sometimes have Breville appliances. I've also seen Manduka yoga mats during the beginning of the year. What I do like is that everything feels much more organized than in previous years. They had all their spring dresses out which was kind of nice! I didn't have much time, but they did have a good variety. I was here to look at yoga mats and they did have a good amount to look at, just the type of yoga mat I want wasn't there. I'm a bit particular with the surface as I do sweat a lot. But the prices were reasonable with $30 being the highest price I saw. I recall when I did see Manduka mats here, they were roughly $50-80? Which yes, it's imperfect, but it's a steal just no warranty. S E R V I C E When I've had to purchase things over the years (it's been a while folks), lines generally go fairly quickly as they do have many registers open when they see the lines becoming long. O V E R A L L Marshalls is a fun place to shop if you have time to wander through the aisles and peruse. You'll sometimes find a fantastic deal for something you need or not ;) But be wary it does get really busy on the weekends, parking can be a headache as well as check out can take longer. read more

One of the best Marshall's to shop in. I love that they have a cashier stand at the doors leading to the parking lot and a second stand at the doors leading into the mall. The lines are usually shortest there, so that's where I go and am in & out pretty quickly. Its very clean and easy to shop there too. read more

Parking is always chaotic considering Great Mall is a popular outlet mall. Lines are always long but the cashiers work quick and you typically don't spend more than 10 minutes in line like you would at other locations. My girlfriend and I went to this location to check out their furniture because she was looking for a vanity chair and we were told very rudely by the security guard to get off of a chair we were looking at. I understand if we were sitting there for over 10 minutes but we were there for less than a minute and we were TRYING out the chair to see if it was comfortable and if we wanted to purchase it, it doesn't make lots of sense for her to say that? Her tone could've been a lot nicer but we were definitely deterred from purchasing furniture that day. read more

This was one of the largest Marshall's I've ever been to. There are a lot of clearance items. However, it seems like a junkyard with a lot of open boxes and things out of place. Almost all the toys were opened or wrecked. read more

Haha this is my favorite Marshall's location and I can totally spend hours here. I love how they always have some of the best brands at this location and tons of sizes as well. But sometimes if you snooze, you lose and I end up missing out on the small sizes. They always have new merchandise every week including the best clothing, colognes, skin care, travel, gifts and so much more. I don't know how much money I have spent at this particular Marshalls over the past few years but it's been a lot lol. It's pretty far from my home but I don't mind driving those extra miles just to shop here because they definitely have better merchandise than the Marshalls locations near me. Staff is always very nice at this location and they always say hello to the customers. Haha I think it's time for a Marshalls trip. read more

I'm kind of indifferent when it comes to this particular Marshall's... I like the whole concept of name brands being sold at a fraction of what it's normal price tag would be, I like how the store is esthetically decent [unlike Ross and Burlington], and I like how your visits are always an adventure because you never know what you're gonna come across. I, unfortunately, never find anything worth purchasing whenever I visit. Sure, there are tons of "cute" items but being "cute" and "handy" just don't go hand in hand for me. I will annoyingly walk aound the store and could easily spend an hour+ and still leave empty handed. 3 stars. I had a great experience at this Marshals today. I was able to find the long sought after strawberry stool, and it looks so great as a plant stand for my monstera! They also had the lemon, orange, and donut stand I had to stop myself from buying. The woman running the fitting rooms and the women running the registers were all very nice and helpful. I found some good shirts there on sale today, however their clothing racks were a bit unorganized. Overall I am pretty happy with what I found today and will probably be back for more fruit themed furniture. read more

The young man TJ really helped lighten the mood of it seemed everyone around him! I was a bit under the weather that day & his smile & attitude really made for a comfortable environment. I would have given a 5th star but there was his manager? Or someone supervising him who wouldn't let him work. More as he was doing well while she interrupted him working as if he was doing anything wrong. She continued to do what he had already done & the young man explained kindly that he did that & he's got it with a gentle laugh but she continued to make things a bit harder than needed to be. BUT here's where the young man actually made my mood better. He proceeded to converse with me after she had walked a bit further away saying things like "welp... funny seeing you here" something really simple & sarcastic made me really relate to the young man. My day may have been bad but his day could just be as hard while he makes the most of it. read more

Pretty big store located inside the Great Mall. Loved their selection of kids clothes! I only wished it was more organized... although, I understand things can be misplaced and whatnot. Service was speedy and we got in and out. The cashier was nice enough to put all our merchandise in a big bag without a charge. We know nowadays bags are charged and it was a nice reusable large bag. Value of the clothes is good especially since kids grow out of them so so quickly ! The parking for Marshalls is located right outside their store. Cashier was Rude and Disrespectful AF!! Cashier told Me I Can Not make a Purchase without Showing Proof of a State Identification (I.D) I was Trying to Pay the Remaining Balance of $1.10 in Cash and the Cashier would Not let Me Purchase it without Showing her Proof of a Drivers License or State Identification I Find this Completely Disrespectful and Said it was Store Policy or I would Not be able to Purchase anything I told her that there was No Need to as I was Not Returning Anything nor Using a Credit/Debit Card She insisted I Show my Identification or I Can Not make the Purchase. I really like to come here for shopping or even just to go around when I have free time. The store is small but offers a variety of great items such as home decoration, kitchen supplies, clothing, shoes and much more. I like to buy work-out clothes here since the quality is good with affordable price. This Marshall is located in Great Mall which is awesome because I can go look at other stores on the same trip as well. It is very clean here. The service is not bad. The two stars are only for the merch and the sales floor attendant who said hello to me twice. This store seems to have more merch than other Marshalls's I've been to. Went on a non weekend day and it was packed. Most of the people here seemed to be in a trance and hog an aisle or they had a pissy look. The parking lot is huge but it gets busy and parking can be annoying. Want to park far and have some "privacy" for a little bit? Good luck here lol! They do not take back the returns. After waiting half an hour on the line, first they claimed that they cant take back the shirt even though it had its label etc on it. The reason was because it lacked the plastic bag that comes with it (online shop). Then they accepted the other return, but after trying to process it, told me that they cant do it because TJmax cannot be returned in marshalls and I should go to TJmax. This is absolutely not true from my 1000 experiences with Marshalls. Terrible customer service. read more

Marshall's used to be in Hawaii. .. but not anymore. We only have Ross, Waikele Outlets, and TJ Maxx at the moment. So, when I saw this store at the Great Mall in Milpitas, I just HAD to take a look! Wow... it's spacious! We got through the name brand purses and tote bags... looked briefly through the dresses, raincoats and jackets, then got stuck at the shoe department... In the Clearance section - there was a pair of black Born boots. .. I thought, "good brand". I looked at the price: $20... Whaaat? For leather? Okay. You're coming home with me! The staff in dressing room in Marshall/Great Mall treats every customer like a thief before and after you request to use the room to try on clothes. I feel like we are going into a police department more than a dressing/fitting room of a department store. People will get interrogate by the fitting room associate once you walk inside. The lady in the photo has to count every single piece of garment even though I only had 3 pieces. She also took away the stuff I shop in Marshall's (and put them on her desk) and not reminding me to get them back (she did not even ask the name of the customer to put on the unpaid items.) It seems like she does not want Marshalls to earn more revenues or profits. She also treated the customer behind me like a thief after trying on clothes when she gave her the tag/number of 5 and she asks where are the rest of the items. Then that customer needs to explain her mom is holding the remaining clothings. The staff didn't even apologize to any customers for making wrong assumptions! This is absolutely a horrible, disgrace customer service that the department store should not have had treated customers in the first place. Please be more respectful to customers and retrain your staffs with better polite attitude. No customer would make any purchases with this inferior customer service. read more

The lines were long at times but seemed to move fast. The only downfall on this visit was the exit into the mall was closed. The gates were drawn and no access was given due to some sort of malfunction. LOCATION: In the Great Mall. It has two entrances. One entrance is from the parking lot and the second entrance is from the inside of the mall. It's on the side where Burlington Coat Factory is. STORE: Is quite big. It's one of those discounted type stores so it can be messy because people search through everything and don't always leave items in order. There are regular sale items and clearance items. Although I thought the clearance items were going to be marked down more than they were. I was disappointed their dress section wasn't big at all. Decent sized purse section with some bling bling options. Lots of home items like bath curtains, pillows, bed sheets, and interior decorating items. SHOES: are marked down yes, but still seem on the expensive side to me. BATHROOM: I just found out there is a bathroom INSIDE of Marshalls so you don't have to use the mall bathroom, which can be gross because so many people use that one. Finally open again! Only 1 entrance (on the parking lot side) is open, the mall side is not open. The max # of people that are allowed inside the store is 213 people. There is an employee manning the front door counting the number of people entering and exiting, and masks are required! I came on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30 PM, parking lot definitely wasn't full. Still a lot of people staying home (which is good LOL, I just wanted to return something at Nike). There was a line outside the store, but it was spaced out and it wasn't too bad since people came out relatively continuously! Marshall's is all stocked up again, and they have some pretty great sales going on right now since they've just opened up. I was able to find a vanity tray, a ton of dog treats for the low low $2.99 (Fruitables!! Yum! my dog loves those), and a Moleskine journal for the low price of $5.99 :) The line for checkout took a bit longer than I'd like, but it definitely was nothing compared to the day Ross reopened (lord, that checkout line was at least an hour long). Might've been because they have 2 areas you can check out. Each side only has 3 cashiers though. Love shopping at Marshall's cause you never know what you'll find. Can't wait till things return a bit back to normal again :( read more

3 stars is for the broad items that are carried from hosiery, bras, sleepwear, outdoor wear, business attire, casual, swimwear, shoes, children's selections, some edibles, some electronics, perfume/cologne, bags/backpacks/purses, household decoratives.. brand name or not, all at an affordable price. The store is of course is not well-kept nor organized but what do you expect? Lines can be long and the lines move oh so slow.. I almost wanted to throw the $$ on the counter and leave w/ my wanted purchase. I got a Nike set of headphones for the gym for $9.99. Granted it's just $9.99 but I am not willing to pay big bucks for a pair just yet. This pair is sweat resistance and I like the way it fits- yes, I bought the exact pair before but it somehow stopped blasting music in one side. Overall feel of the store = eh but I can't complain. It doesn't help that it's packed. It's so packed that a hurried mother ran over my foot with her shopping cart (the kind lady apologized profusely). I don't recommend going in on weekends. PRODUCTS// I thought the home section here was way better stocked than the Marshalls in Mountain View. It had more selection across a broader range of prices. It has a big shoe selection (coach to white mountain) as well as luggage section (had Kenneth Cole Reaction), I definitely appreciate that. Overall: Super busy. Very average location of Marshalls - it's just conveniently located at Great Mall. Since it is located at Great Mall, be sure to keep in mind that there are a bunch of outlet stores in the mall. If you're looking at any item from brands such as Nike, Adidas, Michael Kors, etc. be sure to check the outlet store before you buy it from Marshalls since the outlet store might have a better deal and more options! Just like any other Marshalls, finding good items is very hit or miss! I've definitely found some good prestige makeup and clothing items here for a discounted price. There are two ways to enter the store - one entrance to Great Mall and one to the parking lot. There are two sets of registers at this store - one at each exit. Rude fitting room attendant. I came here to try and find some summer outfits and picked 5 items for the fitting room. There was one Asian lady working there, I went in, tried it on, didn't work out. When I came back, I put everything on hangers and brought the number back too. She made a snarky comment saying - "you guys just bring stuff and don't want it". No one likes to waste effort trying on stuff, so comments like that are just rude and disrespectful. read more

My dad says this is the biggest Marshall's in the area but I'm unsure if this is true or not. They have a very large shoe section. This store seems more disorganized than some of the other Marshall's I've been to due to the customers rummaging through everything. Sometimes the shelves look sparse or the items on the shelves are unevenly displayed. This location was the very first Marshall's I had ever been to. It's a great option for house items like curtains, towels or blankets. They sell lots of clothes for all ages and have a ton of purse options as well. I like Marshall's better than Ross but a little less than TJ Maxx. There's plenty of parking and there's an entrance from the inside of the mall and also from the outside from the parking lot. read more

Now this is a place I can get behind. I never come here for the clothing, as you normally won't find much in the "nice" department here. If you want the type of clothing this place provides, but better, then go to Burlington Coat Factory. However, this place has some amazing items like soap for great prices. Yeah, I love soap and this place has some good stuff at the bargain prices. They also have ton of interesting things that you can put in your bathroom and kitchen. It's not a very fancy place and you won't feel like you have a dash of sophistication after shopping here, but you will find cool items at perfect prices. I'm a Marshall's guy at heart. Well it is what it is. Marshal's is a discounted department store. The good thing I can say about this location is that they keep it pretty neat and organized. I'm not a huge fan of Marshall's (I prefer Ross) but this one is a nice one. I think I was looking for a gift for a baby shower. I did find what I was looking for but as earlier stated I prefer Ross; their prices are a few dollars cheaper. I did find the baby clothes I was looking for as well as a couple of sweaters for myself. All in all its s nice store and I can usually find whatever I'm looking for. read more

They are always so friendly here and never have to wait in a long night line to pay. As you shop there are staff members walking around doing their job but never hesitate to stop and say hello or offer help. In line to pay there is a staff member at the front of the line greeting you, taking hangers off, or calling extra cashiers to make the line move a little faster. I always liked this store; been coming here ever since I've been coming to this mall (which is whenever I visited my dad at Lima). Every time, I only check the women's clothing, handbags, and beauty products (right there in front of the store, along with the cash registers too- how convenient). So, because, of this, I would think this is a small store, but it's just because I visit a small segment of the store. I wanted to be clear about which sections I spent time in. I actually shopped here for myself this time (June 2011). I found philosophy bath & shower gel and pacifica body lotion- both were marked down (cha ching!). On this particular shopping trip to the mall, I purchased several items for Christmas (I keep a running gift closet of items for Christmas- it's my thing and I shop year round for the best deals). I was pleased that I was able to find a little something for myself. The line was a little long but it seemed to go fast. The store is clean and free of clothing on the floor (hate that mess). I didn't notice any people working on the floor, but most of the registers were occupied (which explains why the line went relatively fast).
