My family and I visited this location on 8/30/26 around 3pm and were greeted by Jillian/Julian (?) who had a very nasty attitude. We purchased the shoes at another location and wanted to make an exchange at this location, but he made it seem like it was a problem. He told us that we only had 15 minutes in the store because he had to go to lunch by his 5th hour and needed to close the store, as he had no one else available to cover for him. I'm sorry that you're understaffed, but please take that frustration up with management, not paying customers. The atmosphere in the store was extremely awkward because of his attitude. For some reason, his attitude eventually improved and he became nicer, but the initial interaction still left a very poor impression. I hope management can address the staffing situation and ensure that customers are treated respectfully, regardless of what is happening behind the scenes. read more

My first time going to a Beck's store, and what better store to go to than this one. I was sent there from my company (3D printer) for some work boots. Julian is the epitome of customer service. Very knowledgeable on the product. He will match you up with the right shoe for your exact needs. Best of all he is very patient and not your typical "salesman" so you don't feel that pressure of buying something on impulse. The store has a great selection of all kinds of brands and the value. Go to this location and ask for Julian he'll take care of you read more

What an amazing shopping experience at Beck's Shoes in Milpitas today with salesperson Jilian G. I called the store on Sunday asking if they sold the Merrell Jungle Moc shoes in a men's size 10.5 iand he said yes. I told him we would be in on Monday. This was better than ordering online. We met Jilian in person and he showed us to the shoes immediately as we requested a wide. He suggested he try a 10.5 and 11, but since my husband was going from a regular to a wide, the better fit was a 10. The fit was perfect! We had excellent service from Jilian and we were in and out in less than 20 minutes. Jilian's expertise, kindness and good sense of humor made our day. My husband was so happy, he started dancing inside the store, and then he started to moon walk as we left the store. He says this was better than any Christmas present this year. We will always return to Becks and see Jilian. read more

Went in this morning at exactly open time and was greeted by a nice employee by the name of Carissa. She showed me the different type of shoes that my company authorized me to get. She pulled out several options for me to check out and try. Her customer service skills and knowledge in this craft are up to par and is great asset to this company. Thank you again to Carissa and Becks for my first time here. Will be back for those Hoka's soon. read more

We want to shine a light on a dying breed! A great sales person!! One who actually interacts with customers, has knowledge of all the stores merchandise, this being shoes and work boots. I'm speaking about Julian Guardiila. He's fantastic!! Five star service for this man. . He was friendly, extremely helpful, not rushing any customers or pushing a sale. He made plenty of sales while we were there just by being knowledgeable and helpful with a great personality. Because of Julian we also bought leather protection and many pairs of socks, which were perfect. Yes, it was an expensive purchase at the end. But actually worth it to have a sales person who knows his products and great sense of humor. Julian Guardiola , you deserve great appreciation from the owner of the store and a raise!! We will be a returning customer because of you. Thank you. Alonso & Cindy Escott. Brunt work boots. read more

Great service and value, have been a fairly new customer, but I definitely recommend Beck's they have a great selection of work boots.

Walked in to try on some new work shoes and Julian was amazing. He helped me pick out a pair that wasn't really my style but they were super comfortable and I have zero regrets wearing them everyday. I even came back to buy another pair for my coworker and will be back again when these wear out! read more

Kaylin Linke answered as soon as I called the Milpitas store. I was interested in a specific pair of shoes I found on the website and fortunately Kaylin was able to find exactly the shoes and size I was looking for. When I got to the store, Kaylin brought me my shoes and offered to check my size. I realized my shoe size was a bit smaller, and I ended up going down from a 10.5 to and 10. The fit and look are exactly what I wanted! On top of that, Kaylin was able to confirm my place of work was eligible for discount, so I got an additional $25 off my order. Very happy with the service! read more

Good selection of quality shoes and exceptional customer service. The staff was very knowledgeable and patient. Thank you so much Kaylin!

My recent visit to this location was incredibly disappointing. This experience greatly soured my impression of the store, and I rather shred my $500 work vouchers than spending a dime at this store! Not only did I encounter a lack of assistance, but the staff's attitude was shockingly rude and dismissive. My work provided 2 vouchers and I insisted on different sizes. I'm the paying customer and if I tried on the shoes and said they fit therefore it means they fit. Why would the sale associate argue otherwise! The older woman with black hair was very condescending. Without contracts through companies, I doubt anyone would spend their out of pocket for shoes here. You can definitely get better pricing through other sites and better service at least. read more

Carissa was amazing! When I walked in, she was dealing with a very difficult customer. The customer was not only raising her voice at her, but was also immediately rude to me. The blonde woman who works there is incredibly rude. The moment I walked in she was on me didn't give me a moment to even shop before trying to get my contact info and sign me up for god knows what. I asked to try on a specific boot she went to the back and came back with one that was not even on display. I asked for a certain size to accommodate my lengthy toes and she began to argue that was not correct. I stopped by to get new work shoes and Kaylin was super helpful. I didn't realize I had been wearing the wrong size boots until she gave me a custom fitting. She was very informative, gave me plenty of options, and her energetic personality made for an excellent customer service experience. I arrived dreading shopping and left having had one of the best experiences. I will definitely be back again and will be recommending Kaylin (11/10) and this store to my friends and family! read more

The manager here is amazing! Top-notch customer service! Anyone who can deal with me being picky for hours in a shoe store has to have the patience of a saint. I don't like wearing shoes that are not one thousand percent comfortable. I want to walk on clouds! As an extremely tactile person, anything that feels the slightest bit less than uber soft, smooth, and natural, is most definitely not something that I'm going to wear. I didn't have a receipt, however, he was able to pull me up by phone number and see my recent transaction. He accepted my return because I wasn't 1,000% satisfied with my shoes (I wore them for a day and decided that I liked them but I didn't L.O.V.E. them). Instead of returning the shoes, I exchanged the pair for a much more comfortable pair of shoes. I ended up spending more money for a much more comfortable pair of shoes and that's fine by me. I know that I'll be giving this store my repeat business many, many times over! read more

Exceptional service! Highly recommend if you're in need of occupational safety shoes. We were promptly helped upon entering by an employee we didn't catch the name of but is idenitified on the receipt as 940. He measured my other's feet and gave recommendations on sizing and lacing styles to optimize the shoe's fit, demonstrating his knowledge base and care for our experience at the store. You don't get his sort of service these days and it was nice that this customer service quality still exists. Thanks Beck's! read more

My dad stopped by around 5p today at the Milpitas, CA store (3/26/21) with a voucher from work and was denied service. The male sales rep talked down to my dad after he couldn't find the account in the system. My dad didnt say anything and left but then the sales rep ran outside and took a picture of his license plate and yelled at my dad that he'll call the police. This is unprofessional and discriminatory against Asian elderly since he spoke broken English. read more

"Hope you have a rotten day!" A direct quote from a Beck's Shoes employee as we left the store. This occurred on October 25, 2014 at 3:30 pm - an employee in her mid to late 50's, Caucasian with glasses wearing a yellow shirt. We were absolutely appalled with the RUDE customer service! She was absolutely unprofessional and gives Beck's employees a bad reputation. These are the times when I wish Yelp would offer ZERO stars. I seriously hope the manager will seriously look into this matter. About 6 months ago, we purchased 6 pairs of shoes from the same store for my parents. We left the store with over $800 in merchandise. They ranged from socks, sandals, to dress shoes. A young gentlemen helped us during that occasion and it was pleasant experience. So when my brother wanted to purchase a few pairs of Clark shoes we immediately thought of going to Beck's Shoes in Milpitas. What a horrible idea that was. We walked in to browse through the selection. My elderly mother asked one of the employee to help her measure her feet with a shoe size ruler. One would think this would be a simple task since this is after all a shoe store. My mother kindly asked the employee "What size is my foot?" after putting her foot in the ruler as it was hard for her to see the small numbers of the ruler standing up. Beck's Employee: "It gives me a range of sizes." Mother: "What size is my foot?" Beck's Employee: "1 to 99" Mother: "What size is my foot?" Beck's Employee: "From 6 to 9." WHAT?! Isn't measuring a customer's foot size part of the job in a shoe store?! When a customer asks you "What size is my foot?" It isn't exactly rocket science to answer them properly. What was the deal with the attitude?! Was she being purposefully discriminatory towards a customer of a different ethnicity or to the elderly?! My mother asked nicely and obviously wasn't joking when she repeated the question as she was never given a proper answer. Obviously the employee did not value our patronage as repeat customers, and as we walked out of the store since the employee wasn't willing to help us, the employee loudly said for all to hear, "Hope you have a rotten day!" in front of other customers who were present in the store. It was unbelievable! Lack of customer service is one thing. Being rude and unprofessional in such a mean spirited way was absolutely uncalled for. We will never step foot into this store again and we will encourage others not to shop here either. read more

There seemed to be a rush of customers coming in when I was there. I think it stressed out the one employee that was there. He seemed pushy and rude at first, but once he was able to thin the wait line a bit, he was friendlier. I was able to buy steel-toed work shoes here, although they didn't have women's size 9 in a couple of styles. I was lucky I liked one they did have a size in. The guy helping me recommend a pair of orthotics with my purchase. I tried one on and it felt fine, however I wanted to save money so I decided against it. There was no pressure from his end. read more
