I had a really bad experience today with the store manager Linda L. I tired to return some containers I never used before but opened box. The reason why I had to return because it was already broken inside when I opened. This lady first thing said to me : I can't return or refund to you cuz you used the containers and put in the dishwasher and tried to return... I never used any of the containers and she was just keep yelling at me infront of everyone said you did use it ... you did!!!!!!!! I said I didn't use it at all. I bought a broken item from this place and got really bad customer service. It's only $8. It was broken inside the box... But she had to make a big drama. I don't need to get yelled at.. She is a terrible person. No manner and yelled at customer. Just crazy. I don't know how they hire people like that? And that was the manager of this store? Normal employee treated me way better and much nicer than this crazy lady. So pathetic! read more

I've been to this Marshalls quite a few times since my mom likes to shop here often while shopping here at The Fremont Hub Shopping Center. The store itself is pretty organized and clean, although during certain times, certain isles can be found a mess, and disorganized. However, most of the other sections throughout the store is pretty clean and organized. It's really a hit or miss to finding something of your liking here. To me every time I come here it's like it looks exactly the same as it did the last time, with the exception of them moving certain things around. Other than that it really looks like they have the same type of things in stock lol. so, it's really a hit or miss if you can find something to your liking and at a reasonable price that also suits you. There are always employees working on the floor, organizing and adding things to the shelves, clothing area, and more! Most of the employees are nice, and helpful. The people at the registers are mostly friendly and some are chatty with the customers, others are not really. They have plenty of shopping carts here inside the store for you to use throughout your shopping. Although the shopping carts supposedly are suppose to lock upon reaching the door, meaning they can't be taken out of the store, but yet I still see quite a few Marshall shopping carts in the parking lot and outside the store. Makes me wonder if they system is flawed or what haha. Parking is fine because there is plenty of parking spaces here in the Fremont Hub Shopping Center. You'll always find a parking spot here. Overall, it's your typical Marshalls, which for me, I'd give 3 stars. Nothing really special about this store or place. read more

If I could leave a zero i definitely would , I recently took a trip to this Marshall's store as I do work in one as well but in a different location and wanted to check out what they had ( btw they have nothing good so def wouldn't take the trip there again ) but specifically due to the experience I had today, I went in to return a few items I had which had no reciept for so I went in at least for store credit since everything had a tag and clearly the cashier that was ringing me was untrained because even I had to explain how to return it without a reciept but nonetheless she didn't know how and called for a manager in which took 10 min for her to come,now not sure if everyone follows the expectations at each store but usually your supposed to have a manager or some higher up behind the register for cases like this , now when the manager did eventually come she came with an attitude from the minute upon arrival , took most of my items back but rudely said she couldn't not take one back and I asked why and she kept on just repeating she couldn't take it back but that was when I asked " can you explain the reasoning as to why you can't take it back " since she wasn't providing any , but then after she described how the item was "dirty" and couldn't be returned in which I said it in fact was not and actually had every original tag on it so my finals thoughts are it's fine if u are having a bad life but please don't take it out on your customers because the whole point in costumer service if for the shopper to leave please not leave an angry review like this one, read more

The store is very organized and clean. The workers are hussling trying to make sure the store stays that way! Minus one star because some stuff doesn't have price tags, which ends up in a big hold up at the register because they have 1 person who goes to look for a price. TIP: If you find something without a price, take the same thing even if it's a different size, just so they can scan the tag. They give free bags. read more

This has more higher end stuff than Ross but again you can find awesome deals especially on home goods and this store carries my very favorite candles. I go through these candles like tissue it is so soothing to the soul and as they rotate the stock these candles get marked down and I buy several at a time and they are perfectly fine, just rotated stock;) read more

Really wonderful store, been shopping at Marshalls all over the country for years. It is time, however, to open up the dressing rooms, even if every other room, one patron at a time, mask mandatory of course. Most retail clothing stores in the area have them open and the entire "buying and returning" clothing that I must try on at home is not my idea of fun. Let's do this Marshalls! I've been in this Marshalls a few times already but I have never purchased anything from here. The inventory for women's clothing seems to be quite limited. I can never find anything super cute. The stuff I do find acceptable, I still think the prices are a tiny bit high (for Vince, Tory Burch) - I wish they would have more of these designer name brands here though, high priced or not! The household goods is okay although a bit messy. Inventory is varied of course. If you're in the courtyard, you can look into the Marshalls but you actually have to go around to the front to enter the store. It's a bit annoying, since there is a door in the back that is emergency exit only. I guess it would be hard to patrol the back for potential thieves though. read more

Comparing this place to other Marshalls, this one is pretty average. The place itself is pretty big and buzzing with people. It's also decently clean and brightly lite. As for the selection of items: women clothing were plentiful, men's dress shirts were a little lacking, but the selections of boots were plentiful too (just not enough in size 5-6). I can usually find good bargains on home decor, kitchen tools, stationary, and even clothes at Marshals or TJ Maxx. However, this particular location is really disorganized. I walked through today & noticed that the shelves were overstuffed with piles of items. The scene looked like a Ross store at the end of a weekend. Completely disorganized and messy shelves. I could maybe understand if the mess was confined to the clearance items, but these were all the regularly priced things. The toy section was particularly bad with ripped packaging sprawled on the floor. All the nail polishes were opened, with drippings all over the containers and the shelf. I was so put off by the mess I walked out. Management, I urge you to do something about this mess. I don't believe that the volume of customers is great enough to justify such a mess in the middle of a weekday. read more

I often enjoy the variety of items you can find at Marshalls but I have found that this location has a much smaller and less unique selection of items as compared to other Marshall's in the area. The store tends to be disorganized and the employees sub-par. I was also surprised to find that there were no shoes available in size 6. read more

I love this place. I always get sweet deals. It's just before summer May 31st June 1st and their inventory is kind of thinner than normal. I've noticed that your best selection is around August to September as they're loading up for Back to School. So... Best time to go is during that time. Same for Ross. Sometimes I could find some good bargains here if I was lucky. Most of the times I left empty-handed. You can actually find better deals at Macy's when Macy's has special sales going on. The employees were fine, but what bothers me sometimes are the customers, not the staff. I hate to say this, but I have ran into people here that reminded me of... people from the Jerry Springer Show. They were rude, loud, and acted like the whole store belonged to them. Some lady with tattoos all over her body was screaming when someone accidentally bumped into her. As a man who likes shopping for good deal, I really like Marshalls. BUT not this one. I always go to the ones in Irvine and Monterey, clean, neat and a lot of good stuff. My favorite is Lucky brand jeans at a low price. Not here in Fremont, I found two ^&%$!! This one in Fremont is a mess. Sizes of all the men's pants were all wrong. Things are on the floor. Kids were chasing each other in the store like Disney. It looks like a hang out place for the nearby apt complex after dinner. I got to find a better M in east bay!!!! Avoid this place if you can ... though they have some variety of clothings.. the quality is abysmal. I bought an expensive men's cardigan on Jan 27th and guess what after just like 4/5 regular washings the sleeves have become loose .. i bought size M but it has stretched to L and the wrists are even worst.. I went there and requested for an exchange today as the quality of cloth was bad .. but they don't care ! They have a bad customer service and bad quality clothing lines, so AVOID. read more

This is pretty good Marshalls.. but like all Marshalls and Ross and TJ Maxx, they have their good days and their bad days... I went to this one on a good tday and spent too much money. lol So, the reasons for 3 stars, the sizes were all over the place. its really annoying have to dig through all the clothes to find the price tag.. i know i know, theres a crap load of clothes and its really cheap, but still! its a business! organized racks will sell more! minus one star and the 2nd one, which i find very important is the cleanliness and ventilation of the dressing rooms. it was hella hot in there. lol. i was dying as i was trying on everything. i just wanted to get outta there. and it looks like the place needs to be dusted and mopped. maybe the mirrors should get some Windex on it. but yeah. so there we go. lol. my review for marshalls. lol. Pretty reliable place to get great deals on things like 9 west or Coach shoes, holiday decorations & cards, or my favorite: exercise apparel. I've found Reebok, adidas, Nike, underarmour & no name workout gear here always under $30 I just can't see the logic is spending hundreds of dollars at Nordstrom or Lululemon anymore when the gear does not any last longer. However - the mountain view store has WAY more selection than this one & I wish they'd work on that!! Recently staff seem way better in customer service than they used to be. We always "Hits" this store when we go to Fremont Hub because the wife like to go bargain hunting. She likes to spend time going through the racks of clothing to checkout for bargains. Sometimes she is lucky; other times we just leave without anything - at least we have a good time going shopping together. The store is neat for a discount store. Only reason I frequent here is that it's close to my office. Hey, gas is expensive so I don't wander far at lunch. I'm always able to find my bra size here. Nice bras too...like the kind you usually find at Macy's or Nordstrom. I usually find my kids' shoe sizes here too. Nice Avia or Reebok brand shoes for school. Marshall's is better organized than Ross too, but suffers from the same rude associate problem. Good help is hard to find. read more

2.5 Stars. 2.75 stars. I think this store has nice and decent items, but I can never really find things I like. A lot of the time, they'll be out of my size because this Marshall's is popping and well its a popular size I guess. It's decently organized. A little sloppy in some areas, but if you're looking for something, the odds are you'll still be able to find it through the unsightliness. When you come here you have to be ready and patient to look through everything (which I never am). You also have to check each item of clothing to make sure there is no damage. Their service is OK. Only buy items that are in prime condition and only say you don't want an item when asked why you want to return it. I bought a bought book on clearance from Milpitas. It was banged up but it was $3 so I thought it was ok. When I read it to my 2 year old that night, I realized there were food stains. Gross. Too gross to keep so I wanted to return it. The Fremont store was closest so I went there. I looked around and happened to find something else I wanted. It cost $2.99. So I thought I'd exchange instead of returning for a refund. Everything was going ok till the cashier asked why I was returning the item. I was honest and said the book was dirty and that I didn't realize it when I bought it. Which is when the supervisor said I'd need to bring it back to the original store to return. What? Drive 13 miles for $3?? Can't you help me out? "The cashier in Milpitas should have checked the condition of the book before selling it *every page?* We can't trace who that cashier was and can't discipline them. If it was from our store, we could trace which cashier sold it and discipline them". Was that the manager? No? Can I speak to the manager? Waited around until the manager showed up. "How much is it? 3? OK we will refund it for you *thank you* If the book was in worse shape, I wouldn't be able to do it *is that my fault?* I only bought the book 2 days ago. I didn't even use it. I'm not trying to cheat you of $3. I should have just thrown it away but I didn't want to waste $3. I used to like shopping at Marshalls/TJ Maxx/Homegoods but this experience really f-ed that up for me. Or maybe I should just avoid this location. This is very organized Marshalls! Walking by you don't see clothes jammed into the racks..Everything is organized by color and size..Super easy to find things..I loved it! I had an easy time finding exercise clothes. The prices were so cheap even compared to Target. Sports bras were less than 10 bucks (I picked up a grey one for 7 dollars). Workout tanktops were cheap too! I picked one up for 9.99. Shoes were such a good variety too! I saw a lot that were Steve Madden. They looked like they had a lot in stock so sizes didn't look like an issue. Workers did a pretty good job putting things away around the store. It wasn't messy or cluttered. this place sucks. my husband bought a portable vacuum cleaner at great mall Marshals. when we got home its missing a part. so instead of driving back to greatmall we decided to return it at the Marshalls hub.. its only for 7.99 and the manager Linda who dint express interest in helping my husband just said we have to go back to greatmall to return it!! my husband expressed his frustration and dissapointment but she was stone cold... sometimes you wonder how people get to be a manager..i normally like Marshalls but because of this experience, i will never ever go again.... Linda , you did not accept a return of 7.99 but you lost at least $200+ / month not including our family which we'll definitely not shop at Marshalls particularly at the hub!!! instead of us saying thank you, we say you definitely suck!!!! a better quality version of Ross for sure. the brands are more popular.. for example they sell coach shoes, rampage flipflops, I walked in here after grabbing dinner at a nearby chinese restaurant.. and i got myself a pair of green roxy swimsuit.. for 20bucks.. and the original price was $78! unbelievable. the store it self looks clean.. the clearance section is just kind of scrambled in the middle of the store.. so kind of hard to find out where things are.. and the signs on the ceilings are a tad bit off.. but the employees kind of stay to themselves.. but the dressing room gal when i was there was nice. i would come back again for another good bargain! read more

This Marshall's might as well specialize in shoes since it's the best part of the store. Great prices, although I wish there was more variety for the bigger shoe sizes. The quality of all the shoes are great though. Don't come looking for clothes, just go straight to the shoes. The service here is great, especially the cashiers! I love going to Marshalls as I can always find fashion designs for low price. The same things that I can see at major department stores are here for much less. Make sure to try and time yourself around certain holidays for the clearance sales that will happen after. Go in and scout it. After a month, scout it again to see if the they start clearing them out. Red means clearance. Yellow means last call. read more

This location is a lot smaller than the one in San Leandro. Though this location has tons of name brand stuff like Melissa & Doug, Ralph Lauren, Kate Spade, etc. I love how its clean and the employees are super nice. read more

The clothing selection is horrible for teens/women. I can never find anything that is somewhat cute/stylish and not overpriced. They seem to love stocking the racks with ugly t-shirts or raggedy sweaters priced for $30. But the shoe department does offer cute shoes and larger variety. They have lots of sandals for the summer and usually under $30. Also, its a great place to pick up perfumed soaps or lotions for the bathroom or hardware/cooking utensils for the kitchen. The lines are always medium/long but the staff moves them along pretty quickly and they are actually pretty friendly. read more

I come here to hunt. Not to shop. I containerized my pantry with sistema brand containers from Marshall's for 1/5 the price that I was tempted to pay at the container store. I also regularly see quality towels, baby items, furniture and some pretty good brands too. I feel like every time I go I see a Cynthia Rowley jacket I love and even some of her housewares. I'd avoid the shoes though. Unless you really like last year's Steve Madden shoes. I was hosting a baby shower and we did the infamous baby onesie decoration game.
