This is like an asian level 5 Costco. I came on a whim and they carry a lot of asian centric items that my local Costcos don't always carry. It's a good mix of chinese and indian stuff. Their layout is a little strange and it's very crowded with people who can't push their carts properly and constantly create blockages. The gas station also only has two pumps per side versus 3, but it gets the job done. Overall it's okay, it's a Costco that needs to redesign it's interior flow of traffic better to prevent all the congestion that happens. read more

Another year, another update. I feel like this Costco has been on a plateau. Items can be hit or miss when you're trying to find something new. We were sad when the raspberry lemon muffins were removed due to them not being "popular" in this particular Costco. Getting price matches has improved over the years though. I find that I don't have to wait as long as I used to which is nice. I'm glad they do still have this perk. The Optical Department feels like it's been the same as I keep perusing their glasses to eventually buy some in the near future. Sales/Mark downs can be challenging here as a lot of folks pounce on the super discounted items. Other than that. It's still our go-to Costco as it's the easiest to get to. Parking is still a little nuts but not as bad as before Newark opened. read more

Today saw some new products inside Costco as well as some Christmas / Holiday items. They set up a booth by the produce section to promote sugarcane juices . One pack of six have multiple flavors or all in the same flavor. Your choice for $11.99 . It is all natural, with no preservatives. It needed to be keep refrigerated at all times . I love to see the Spanish Serrano bone in ham ( leg ) , made in Spain . It is available only this time of the year . Right before Thanksgiving and it was sold out fast . Happy holidays ! read more

Overall rating: 3.5/5 This review is specifically for the combo calzone at the Costco food court. Came on a Sunday around 4pm with my fiancé, excited to try the calzone since the combo pizza was discontinued. Parking was easy enough with the large lot, though Costco was busy. We ordered right after checking out and our food came out in about 5 minutes. Quick service as usual. The verdict: It doesn't replace the combo pizza, but the flavor is there. I liked the cheesy, crisp crust, but we both wished it had more filling. It felt a bit too bready. At $7, it's a decent value, but would I get it again? Probably not right away. read more

I love going to Costco! Everything is sold in bulks of items at a cheaper price. This is the Costco that I normally since it's the closest location from home. I go here not just for food court, but also flu vaccine and tire replacements. You also can't go wrong with $4.99 rotisserie chicken that they've been having for years. During peak hours, aisles can be filled with carts and people. That's like driving in the freeway during rush hour except on foot. Weekends tend to be more chaotic. If you go during the weekdays in the morning or afternoon, then it won't be much of a hassle. Costco Membership is required, but it's worth subscribing to it if you're into buy cheap bulky items. read more

IMHO Surprisingly not as crowded as we thought it would be on a Thursday just before noon, and we found parking easily. This is not our regular Costco and decided to visit after visiting the Fremont DMV. Again, not terribly crowded at all, so we opted to take advantage of the short food court pick-up line before shopping. Grabbed two hot dogs, and one chocolate chip cookie (my first, after all the hoopla from last year.) I was very happy to see that this particular location hadn't switched over to the Coke brand yet and they still served Pepsi, my favorite! Grabbed a few essentials; roasted chicken, mini won tons, and eggs. Tasted some yummy samples along the way. I might've purchased some featured bread, but the young ladies manning the booth were more interested in talking to each other than providing more samples. Oh well. I dropped by this location around 1pm during a weekday. The weekend crowds versus the weekday crowds differs significantly in parking available and comfortableness in in leisurely shopping. I always thought this was a high footprint location but this time was pleasant with the crowd numbers. Checked to see if they have anything particular to this location but didn't find anything in particular. Again, this location has a high Asian population so there will be more variety in that area. During checkout even with the small crowds, it looks like there is always a shortage of cashiers even with a self checkout option. The checkout speed seems to be slower as the lines don't move quick. read more

I would like to recognize the employee, Leslie, stationed near the entrance at the Fremont Costco on Pacific Common Blvd. On January 5, 2026, at around 5:20 PM. It was raining heavily, and he kindly offered to help me bring my groceries to my car without being asked. This was a pretty great Costco. It was such a huge store, it's fun to walk around. I was surprised on a Friday night that it wasn't that busy. Overall the store seemed to have pretty great deals. We found items that we didn't see at other Costcos. Items were pretty easy to find and the staff were nice also. There's also a Costco gas that has a tons of pumps too. read more

This Costco almost always lacks essential products like milk, detergents, liquid soaps etc but has enough inventory of fancy non-essential items. Not just to this Costco, but a point to be made about the food court - considering you have a good chunk of customers who are vegetarians (including Vegans), have you considered adding at least one vegan sandwich and coffee to your menu? Lots of tropical fruits both fresh and dried. They have Hawaiian papayas and Guavas. They had dried pineapples with and without spicy seasoning. You can get all your Holiday shopping here from food to gifts for everyone including the family pets. This location has a gas station, as well. read more

Such a pain. Service is an overrated word here. Costco as usual takes the cake for the most antiquated, dysfunctional, and inefficient IT. How do they even get away with this nonsense in 2026? Checking out with your spouse? Good luck if you use a credit card with a name different than on the membership. Cashier wants to check with 3 or 4 people "just to be sure" if that's allowed. Missed collecting your cash back from past year? Online chat says go to store. At the store, Membership Services suggests using at checkout. They send back saying it's membership services. Membership then suggests loading to a Shop Card, and boom, the same person who sent us back is working on it. Guess what? Their systems are all different, so membership services can see things cashiers can't, and store managers cannot see what membership services can. At the battery and tire center, there's hardly anyone available, and when they do show up they are busy doing something on the computer and not serving the sole waiting customer. I go to both Newark and this location. Today was a weird experience, usually I enjoy this location more the fact that it's less crowded. However, the vibes alittle bit off. To the Costco lady with tattoos down to the hand, please share the aisle, you saw me coming with my cart yet you wanted to stand in the middle, strike poses with your walkie talkie for a simple power trip. Girl you work at Costco, you don't own Costco LOL!! Next time, please be alittle more courteous and simply share the space with others, it's that easy. the least busiest costco by far! came 6:45pm on a thursday evening. very spacious parking lot. no line at the return station or food court. only 1-2 ppl in the checkout aisles. i usually go to the hostetter location. i found that this one has more variety! the organic blueberries are FAT! variety of dubai chocolate desserts which are often sold out elsewhere. U MUST TRY THE NUTTY FRUITY 15 COUNT DUBAI CHOC SQUARES. it will change your life! all the produce/dairy were up to date and fresh! i'll be coming back often to this location moving forward! read more

Review #862 Posted on 2.24.25 This Costco was built probably 10-15 years ago, following them moving from the Stevenson location which was when they started after being in the old Price Club/Costco spot Walmart now occupies. I need to give a huge shot out to Alyssa Maltz & Rudy, long time employees who take good care of you when you come in, they're vets in every sense of the term and know the customer service business inside & out. One thing I always thought about this place is they built it too small. The lanes will back up into the aisles it would get so busy, they also shrunk down the self checkout to 3 lanes from 6, not sure why. This has been helped though now by building the NewPark Mall location to take the load off their plate with the amount of customers hopefully. Costco is a better option for almost anything you want to buy compared to other places. read more

Had to write this review after an initial sour experience at 2 other Costco locations the same day. I was sent on a wild goose chase looking for a recliner, with the Foster City Costco directing me to the South City location for an item that was supposedly in stock when they checked their computer but was definitely not in stock when I got there. Fremont Costco redeemed my love for Costco and gave me a greater appreciation for their employees! HUGE kudos to Manny for helping us today on 8/16! He was off the clock, hadn't even started his shift yet and saw me and my husband struggling to get a giant recliner into the car. He offered to help us and sprung into action, taking apart the box to fit the item into our car and even offering to bring our cart and empty box back. So thankful for his help especially since I'm pregnant (which he didn't even know when he offered to help!) so I was struggling with the heavy lift. Thanks again Manny!! Also thanks to Alyssa who answered the phone, checked the floor, and pulled the item to place on hold for me. She later saw me with the recliner and went out of her way to check in on me and introduce herself as the person on the phone. Was so sweet! Overall just had wonderful experiences with so many of the staff here who went out of their way to help, check in, or wish me well as she was checking my receipt :) read more

Costco can be crazy! Located in a busy area where it gets a lot of foot traffic. I was able to find great parking compare to roaming around the lot for 10 minutes. The line to get gas can be hectic. I have seen cars cutting others to get gas. It seem like people love getting gas there compare to other places. It is funny how Newark has a Costco and it does not affect business. read more

The self checkout scanners are hard to operate and they have minimal staff to help in self checkout. Hence one item is always left to scan and then you end up standing in line again . I hate scanning the things myself but weekends it's a long wait and you end up standing in self checkout. read more

If you are picking up glasses. Take a number wait and do not depend on number screen. And if they past your number, you will start all over so higher number is before you. Look for and hear for the line for pickup and adjustment or you will wait four hours. I shopped and came back 3 hours later to find this out. They need to create a better system or communicate this to the shopper. read more

This "manager" with the glasses was being extremely unprofessional and disgusting with a Costco employee calling her out (yellow shirt) on not checking in with a supervisor for certain tasks. The fact that I can recall what they were talking about says a lot. That's not my issue---my issue is that you are 1. Being loud with an employee's business for all to hear, which everyone at the checkout line did hear. 2. Reprimanding an employee in front of people, is humiliating and extremely unprofessional. 3. You can also tell that English is not her first language, so this felt like an abuse of power. That's really disgusting to do in front of customers, let alone another employee where it's not private. ALSO, the other person standing hella weird was smiling as he's telling her these things. It doesn't matter if they're the worst employee in the world, being mindful of time in place is extremely important for any manager. I'm a manager myself and standing with me while this is happening is my mother mother-in-law who is a director of Human Resources and we felt so sorry for the girl. This young woman didn't deserve that this wasn't a teachable moment. It was meant to humiliate and in him abuse his authority. Costco get better managers! And now that the other new Costco has opened in Newark, it's practically empty especially during the weekdays. So easy parking, quick in and out! This happened to me a few times already so I decided to write a review about it. When I go to Costco (or any other store), I rely on their price tags so I know how much the items would cost me. The first time it happened, it was keurig coffee. The price label shows it was on sale so I took a box. When I finished paying, I looked at my receipt and I was charged the regular price. The cashier told me the price listed is wrong, the same was over the other day. Pissed me off but I didn't want to queue for return so I just went my merry way home. The second time it happened, I did return the item because it wasn't busy in the store during that time. Today, it happened again. The posted sale price was not what I was charged. It was a good thing that I saw the price before I paid. The cashier was able to call the manager for a price check. The manager told me the sale was over so the item was already back to regular price. I told him they should correct the price posted. He gave me the item at the posted price but it wasn't busy a hassle because he told me to take a picture of the posted price and come back to him. So, I had to trek over to where the item was, took a picture, and then go find the manager again. When I found him, I think he was a bit surprised. He maybe was hoping I'd have given up and gone home. If you look at the picture closely, the sale price ended 2 days ago. They can't even say they didn't have the time to take down the price. It's been two days! Update the price so your customers don't feel cheated. Did the management hope that most people won't notice the price so they pay more? And the people who'd notice will just accept it to not be inconvenienced further? I expected more from Costco! read more

Costco always has a great selection of almost everything under the sun. With reasonable prices compared to what the much smaller higher priced supermarkets charge for goods. I try shop here about 1 hour after they open. Where else are you going to buy some Mediterranean Sea Bass at a moments notice. Ribs and roasted chicken ready to eat. Came to this Costco while on vacation in the Bay Area and it had so many things I can't find in Canada. A great selection and the store is organized. Could not see many staff around to help in this busy location, but I didn't require assistance on this visit. The parking lot was also large and clean. I went in December and there was already a lot of Chinese New Year products on sale. I was able to find a great puffer vest for $30 and some great fruit bars on sale! Very happy with my visit. I've been here a few times after the Newark location opened their doors. I'm not sure it was because I came on weekday late evenings or is that it became less busy in general due to another location opened up. This store has always had great manager bargains! I love bargain those deals. I've also noticed that there's nine in the gas stations in the evenings. I've been there twice now in the evenings and pulled straight up the the pump. I like the Costco here at Pac Commons. It can get very crowded on Friday - Sunday, but the workers here are helpful and efficient most of the time. There is also a fairly large parking lot compared to some of the other Costcos. You can also find some cool Indian products and Chinese products here. The only downside about this location is the infamous food court. The workers at the food court are consistently slow, sometimes confused, and lack a sense of urgency. There are already self-serve kiosks to order food on, which should logically make their jobs easier, but nope. It's not the case here. I've also encountered a few entitled people cutting lines here. It's not Costco's fault, but it is the workers' jobs to enforce lines. That's all. read more

I needed to readjust my glasses and was told that there was nothing much she could do and referred me right away to her manager. Manager did not help much either and told me to go back to the Costco that I purchased the glasses (San Leandro) from instead. Next day I went to a different Costco (Pleasanton) and had a totally pleasant experience. I was treated with respect and my glasses were fixed within 5 minutes. Absurdly packed on a Saturday afternoon, even by Bay Area Costco standards. I parked at the very end, and even then had to wait for a spot to free up. I first went to the food court for a hot dog, and after ordering on the kiosk there were 3 lines of about 10 people each for pickup. Product selection is pretty good, but more or less typical. Surprisingly, there was no line for self-checkout. They have a gas station, but it's not one of the cheaper ones, so go to Hayward (either regular or Business Center) or Sunnyvale if you can. read more

As far as Kosco's are concerned, this one has almost all the standard sauce lots of regional Asian foods they cater to the community in the area by the main concern. Is that the lines for service for a really long of inside for purchase anything and also for returns, and additionally, the fuel lines are very long, and they are not very responsive with the staff that are there. read more
