But you can walk a little to the parking lot near by . Most items are $2.25 but some can be $6 or more . It is my go to store for small items like paper clips , pencil pouch , small and cute note books , kitchen supplies, etc It is great to have an alternative on top of 99 cents store . I'm sad the one in Milpitas is gone, and they increased the price to $2.25. However, I love the variety of stationery collections, blind boxes, and organizers they offer. Their collab collection, such as Miffy, Sanrio, San-X, BT21, and more are so cute; great for gifting under budget. I have been getting all my desk supplies, kitchenware, and room organizers there since the ones made in Japan are durable for over 5 years. Plus, I can find my things clearly with their transparent organizers. The kitchenware can be fragile. I accidentally broke several ceramic bowls or got them chipped over the years, yet it's cheap to replace them. The crew members are always doing merchandise and inventory around the store. They will help you when you ask them. As for payment, they don't accept AMEX and bills over $20. Overall, this store is very organized, clean, and easy to find certain items. It's the small parking lot that is limited in peak hours. However, you can park near Safeway and walk across there. read more

I guess I haven't been in Daiso in such a long time. But we were running some errands and needed some time to kill before picking up some lunch, so we went to Daiso specifically for some tea bags. Unfortunately we walked around and didn't find any. Fortunately, I finally stepped into this Daiso for the first time in years. And wow things have changed. I've never seen so much cute stuff! So many collabs. I should come back again because they do have some lovely stationary goods as well as containers that I think would be useful for me. Also luckily Daiso here isn't too impacted in terms of parking as it's part of Fremont Hub on the backside. So the only people you may be competing with are those who are shopping at Safeway or Michaels. We didn't end up asking anyone in the store for help, but they were spread around stocking shelves as well as handling the register area. The value of items have changed over the years. Some cheap to definitely more than $1.50. I know I've gotten a few Daiso items that I've had for years. Definitely great for bath containers or storage containers. They also have snacks too. They have beauty items, household items, pretty much a mish mash of goods so you may want to spend an hour or so just perusing to see what would be useful for you. But yes you'll be tempted left and right to buy things you may not need...but at least it won't break the bank! read more

There are a WHOLE lot of items that I didn't get to explore, but the selection is HUGE The only thing that bothered me is most of the plate ware is made in China and not Japan. Took me a while to actually find something Japan made, and most of them looked simple. The items from China tend to be more cheaper than Japan of course, but I was expecting everything Japan authentic. :( Bring in MORE Japanese items please!!! Customer service is always nice there. I can't even begin to write about how much I love hyakuyen shops! I lived off of Daiso and Seria in the years I lived in Japan. The quality is definitely better than what you'd expect for $1.50 and there are just so many useful goods you can find at Daiso. From housewares to kitchenware, stationary, pet supplies, gardening supplies, cosmetics etc... you can find pretty much any kind of random sundry or snack here! While I wouldn't say it's easy being vegetarian or vegan living in Japan, I was really surprised to see Daiso adding a vegetarian/vegan section in their dry foods aisle. How cool is that!? They have charts that display the conversion of USD to Japanese yen, or ¥. You'll see that the prices are not in USD but rather in ¥. Usually the ones that don't have a price tag costs $1.75. This Daiso feels a little on the messier side, but it's the only Daiso in Fremont. I come here for more kitchen appliances and go to MINISO when I look for cuter novelty items. There are a lot of people here on the weekends, so I usually come on weekdays to avoid the crowds and lines. It's always fun to walk up and down the aisles to check out any new items. This was my first visit to a Daiso store and it was the shop of my childhood (and adult!) dreams! There is such a fun and eclectic mix of goods to purchase (with a small section that reminded me of the SanRio store I loved in the mall growing up!) There was a nice selection of stationery and arts/crafts items. I was happily surprised at the home goods sections, too! It's not super clear what each item will cost, but I think everything was more than fairly priced. Plus the selection of products is different than anything I've seen elsewhere! This was the first Daiso store I ever went in its a small to medium sized store similar to a dollar store. The first time I went there I didn't get the pricing, they explained it. Simply everything starts at $1.50 unless marked. They carry a few nice things some snacks, cards, dishes and a small amount of pet & gardening stuff... I come to this Daiso location most often, it's my first choice when choosing between the handful that are within the 15 mile radius. It might not be as big, but I've always been able to find what I'm looking for. The store is clean each time I visit and the workers are always visible if you were to need help. They have a good assortment of various items, I usually go in with the intention of buying a few things and leaving with much more. In general I absolutely love Daiso stores, this location is no exception to that. It's well organized, they have a very large selection of items. I think compared to the Cupertino one it's maybe the same size? It has been a while since I've been to the other one but in comparison to the South San Jose daiso it is much larger. It's also very bright and well lit because of all the windows in the front. The checkout line is very self-explanatory which I appreciate because I'm used to the Oakridge daiso which if you have been there then you know how confusing that one can be. Every time I go to a daiso I like trying some type of coffee drink and a snack. Typically I buy the Hokkaido cream buns but I branch out from time to time and buy the shrimp chips or some other random chips or cracker that I haven't seen before just to see what it taste like. One thing I feel is worth noting about this specific location is the kitchen items in the back. I personally love buying bowls or mugs or plates from daiso, and just some little advice, if you do find a set of dishware that you like don't just buy a couple of them and think you'll find them later on because they may run out the next time you go there. There is a set of dishes that I have been accumulating over the course of maybe two years now because they don't always have it in stock and I really wish I had just bought them all when I had a chance! read more

My friend and I love Daiso because it's the best place to buy affordable fake lashes, imported snacks and other interesting Knick knacks and gifts. This one is probably the smallest I have been to, though. It has an ample selection of makeup, accessories, kitchen and bath supplies that all come at the low price of under $5. When this Daiso originally opened, it didn't offer as much as the one in Union City. However, this changed over time and the place has made an improvement to carry up to date items. For example, the Rilakkuma blind boxes and some of the Sanrio products. Although, their shipment for new releases take some time. They won't have new items immediately like the Daiso at the Great Mall. This can also be a blessing as the busier and more popular locations tend to run out of stock. For example, I was searching for a specific Rilakkuma blind box and it was sold out at the Great Mall. Luckily, the Daiso at the hub had a ton of blind boxes in stock. I've noticed that most of the time when I'm searching for a specific item at Daiso, I'm more likely to find it at this location. If you're also interested in stationary, stickers, and blind boxes then I highly recommend stopping by here. It's also a decent place to provide other utensils. Whenever I come with my parents, they often get other necessities such as cotton pads for my acne medicine. We've also gotten some supplies for gardening and for the bathroom. Time to offset some of these funny one star reviews. Common people, you're basically in a Japanese based dollar store (technically $1.50). Lighten up, take a deep breath, grab a drink, sneak a toke, buy an ice cream cone, whatever you need to loosen up. But I gotta be honest, reading about misery often is a great amusing past time for me. Very new Daiso. Historically I've mostly been a fan. Don't go out of my way to visit one, but great place to kill some time whilst browsing through unique yet cheap crap. Me personally, I like kitchen stuff on the cheap. What's really great is that if it breaks through usage at home, I never feel bummed for the loss. Nice small plates, little tea cups, and awesome glazed bowls. I now eat my cereal out of stylish glazed bowls usually seen for steaming, hot bowls of udon. And it will be for the same price as a Starbucks Latte. Small tiny strainers, steamers in all shapes and sizes (great for healthy cooking), and baskets galore for organizing/storing. They even have comical concepts straight from Asia, that is so foreign here, but actually can prove useful. Check out the pic for a portable banana carrier. I bought multiples to throw in gift bags for future gifts. Can't wait to see the looks on people's faces! This store does seem smaller/compact but it still carries all the regular items. It is also crazy lit up, reminded me of being in a Walgreens in Las Vegas at 3am. So don't forget your shades before coming in, you just might need it from the intense fluorescent glare. read more

The store is well stocked but cashier is rude and will break his promise within minutes. I went to the store to purchase a bag, and I had too much coin in my pocket. I ask the cashier if I can pay in coins. The cashier refuse to accept my coins, and says I can pay a dollar in dime. So I gave the cashier a dollar in dime and also a five dollar bill. The cashier then refuse to take my coins! This is very rude, why would you go back on your promise in just seconds? I had no other customer waiting behind me. The cashier only had about 8 dimes in the cash machine, so it definitely does not look like he had too much dime. The cashier is a young Asian male wearing glasses that worked on 9/11/19 evening. Yay another Daiso in the area! I just love getting an assortment of items from here, from kitchen/baking ware to cleaning products and gifts! Despite most items being $1.50 here, the quality has always been fairly good for me. This new location is definitely pretty big, very bright in there but a bit warm when there are a lot of people. Their grand opening was just this past weekend and they held a raffle prize thing, strange was that no one that was there got anything (nice that they save it for people who weren't there but a bit unfair to those who made the effort to come back the next day for it). One thing that definitely caught my eyes was that it's super duper white in there. It's a very organized and well stocked place but as for choices, it isn't as much as I'd expect it to be. For example, in the other Daiso's, I've seen different kinds of curtain ties (at least 2 kinds and more) but there was only 1 kind here. Maybe it's because it's a smaller place but the assortment of items are as much (minus storage bins haha). Customer service was ok, a bit forceful but I'm sure it'll normalize over time. I was annoyed as one pretended to stock and look for items while I was in one aisle... *rolls eyes* Besides that, I love this Daiso because parking is good and I've never seen it too packed when I want to go. I dislike going to the other locations due to location in a busy shopping area, parking and the crowd. The NO BACKPACK policy is ridiculous and crazy!! when i asked one of the cashier said thats t People use their backpack to steal stuff! So the store owner chose to have liability over just letting costumers bring their backpacks. We are in silicone valley and a lot of engineers professionals using backpacks that has a lot of valuable staff inside but they ask the costumer to leave it on the counter make the cashier liable to all the staff they are holding. If i was asked to leave my backpack in the cashier i will make sure that the person wouldn't leave my backpack and if something lost then its their liability. read more

I was so excited to learn that Daiso was going to be opening up in the Fremont Hub. There have been plenty of times that I don't want to drive to Union City or Milpitas because I don't want to deal with more traffic after work. With that said...what's not to love about this location? I no longer have to drive a distance to get key essentials, parking is not an issue, employees are friendly, store is well lit and super organized and its in a central location where I can multi task several errands in one trip. They seemed to have a lot more kitchenware compared to the other stores. When I went, everything they had was stocked and organized. The aisles were spacious and looked really clean!
