Christmas Eve shopping is not my love language, but I needed a few last-minute gifts and this Marshalls in Buena Park came through. The store wasn't super organized, but it's Christmas Eve, so that felt understandable, and I still found what I needed. Marshalls is a solid stop because you can grab a little bit of everything in one run: shoes, clothes, kitchen items, bathroom decor, even pet stuff, and the prices are generally fair. I went here 4 hours ago with my mom. We both love the clothes and the place here. I honestly find this place more relaxing to be in during this Black Friday week. I love the items in several of the aisles. There's items that remind me of vintage-style homes back in the day. I feel like a lot of the professors at my university would love to have some of these items in their homes. My mom and I were able to find good clothes. I was able to find a nice oversize sweater that fits well as pajamas. The colors and designs are so lovely, and I got one that's so lovely. read more

Customer Service is Atrocious, Disgusting, Disrespectful and Unacceptable but wait for it by management!!! There's a new breed of disrespect for elderly people like myself brewing in this country coming from businesses we have spent our money and supported for years before these so called managers, were not born and moved to this country and I'm not talking about Mexican's !!! That we can take a 2 hour drive and be in their country not our boarder sisters and brothers our closest neighbors!! Who parts of California use to be theirs and for the record I'm a Black American born and raised! in Los Angeles California!! I will be 69 years old in April and my Blood line dates back to the late 1700's!!! Louisiana is my Family's home my father's family moved here from Shreveport Louisiana in the 1930's my mother's family in 1940 from Mer Rouge Louisiana and there is ABSOLUTELY NO RACISM in my Heart and Soul but make NO Mistake ABOUT IT I KNOW it When I SEE IT!! And it's Not from my Mexico Brothers and Sisters!! And these stores that use to serve us so well and pleasantly for so long are hiring them!! Left and Right!! So getting to the point a lot of them are very disrespectful!!! Now here's the truth I go to Marshall's pretty regularly and I spend a lot of money there I go a couple of times a month and thanks to the wonderful world of credit I pretty much spend what I want I use to go a lot more often but I had a couple of accidents that greatly affected my mobility and at times I endure a lot of physical pain that being said this is why when I'm by myself I'm in need of physical help getting to my car so I will ask for assistance to my car because Marshall's doesn't have the electric baskets like grocery stores and Costco, Walmart and Sam's Club because when applying for permits (Now this is what was told to me I never verified it.) they labeled themselves as a convenience store!! Once again I have not verified this!! So here's what happened last week I get my New card not a great big amount on it just $500.00 limit so I love shopping for my grandkid's and I have 5 of them the oldest 24 years old the baby 4 months old and only 1 6 year old granddaughter!! So I have a Wonderful time Shopping for her and the baby and my youngest daughter in Marshall's they have wonderful merchandise so when I go shopping I buy a lot of stuff and I don't think it's asking to much for help to my car!! ( Do You??) and I try to get home before dark because my youngest son and daughter are the Mom police!! So if they know I'm not home and it's dark all hell breaks loose is (and I fell a couple of times while I was out ) so I get it. But for the manager to not allow willing employees to help me to my car is just WRONG and FOUL!! And they used store policy as a reason now last week the so called manager that acted ugly I gave a pass to because another employee stepped up and said I'm going to help you and there's no need to call corporate I'm going to have a talk with her and I said no problem I respected that so imagine my surprise when I go in Monday evening and it gets dark out and I request assistance and this person refuses my request and the young 6' 4'' gentleman agreed to assist me when I asked him to this so called manager would not allow him to assist me!! And said he should've never agreed to help me in the first place!! So I pushed my basket to the car myself!! Now mind you I walk with the help of a cane she said the store's policy was to protect their employees at all cost!!! from being mugged!!! And I said I was here over the weekend and the employee was able to accommodate me she replied it was daylight we can't allow at night!!! Well my question to the owners of Marshall's WHAT ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS WHO IF IT WAS NOT FOR THEM SHOPPING AT YOUR STORES YOU Wouldn't have a Jackass Manager to say some BS like THAT??!!!!! But the Bigger problem is SHE LIED because this time I did call CORPORATE and the Young lady I spoke to said stores make their own policies according to the area they are located in!!! My wife always shops at this store as they seem to have the largest selection of everything you'd love. Per my wife's comments this store always has newer stocks. Customer service is great each never forgets to ask you how your shopping experience. This is really good for a department store chain. Parking is just real hard as the lot is a little small for a location with several other outlet services being offered. They do have a lot of parking around the area and at the back in case it does get really busy and full. Their bathrooms are clean and tidy and do have paper towels if you do need them. read more

I visited this Marshall's on Halloween of this year. I live in Burbank and we also have a Marshall's, but this one is way better because of the Homegoods store inside it. There were so many Halloween and Christmas decorations. I wanted to buy everything. I was able to find a Disney Mickey Mouse Dodgers blanket here for $25! This was less than a day after the Dodgers won the World Series! Go Dodgers! I received excellent customer service here. They are quick with price checking, and all the ladies here are super sweet and helpful. read more

What is there not to like about Marshall's? It is the best place for retail therapy. Some of the best products I love buying is: 1. woman's clothing. There are clothes from Anthropologie at fraction of the cost. 2. food section. I love finding foods from Europe. Like jams and chocolate from France. Panettone and olive oils from Italy. Olives from Greece. Teas from Sri Lanka and England. Potato chips from Spain. 3. beauty supplies. I love the organic shampoos, lotions and body wash and the many high-end cosmetics like Marc Jacob's and Benefit cosmetics. 4. housewares. This is very likely my favorite department because I love to cook. My best find is Staub cast iron/Dutch ovens - about 75 bucks cheaper than Sur la Table. 5. men's department is also a good place to pick up a nice shirt or gadget for the men and boys in your life. Went to Marshall's on 8/1/2023 to return a rug I had purchased less then 24 hours ago & the cashier & manager refused to accept my return even though nothing was wrong with my item & it had been less then 24 hours since I purchased it. I also provided them the receipt & manager still refused & couldn't give me a reason why they wouldn't take it back. I didn't want the rug because it looked ugly in my home, that was it. I went to the rossmore location and bought a few things. A dress didn't fit me so I went ahead to return it near my house which was at this location. They said the tag was marked wrong and that they can't take it. They said I have to go back to the store that I bought it from. Even though it was a Marshall's mistake, now I have to drive further from my house to have this fixed. This is a corporate company I should not have to do this. Wow! Ever walk into a store and get the overall impression of "no thanks"? Yea, that was me today when I walked in. This has got to be the most unorganized Marshalls Homegoods location I've ever been to. The way they have it set up in the store is the Homegoods takes up the left side of the store rather than being set up in the back of the store like most locations. Makes it look out of place in a Marshalls. I came in to casually browse their curtain section as I've been on the search for a nice pair for a couple months. First thing I noticed was the line that stretched past the front entrance of the store. Not surprised as it's a Sunday but definitely made me not want to buy anything at the chance of having to wait in that line. I walked through a few aisles but ended up leaving because things were just thrown all over the place. The scale tipper was when one of two sales associates ran by me while shouting at another employee "dude, there you are!" before they both ran into the back room laughing. It wasn't so much the act of them goofing off but more so that I felt that if I did have any questions, it would be too much work to try to find someone to ask. So I left. Maybe it's better to shop here first thing in the morning when the store is (hopefully) more organized? read more

January 2020, The service has went down hill since my last visit. tonight I came in to return items and shop around to only be asked to wait aside without any explanation of why my return was being verified. The cashier had me wait aside with no clarification or small talk about what was going on. I witness multiple cashiers walk by and just have side talk about my return without directly speaking to me. In the end the only explanation the cashier had was since this location includes Home Goods they only take returns from this specific location purchases. From my understanding the fragrances have to be sealed off from the perfume all the way to the bottle to make sure it's the product being returned. They were going to help her with store credit , but wanted cash. They refused and said no and she got uptight. My wife are new to the area and wanted to go shopping here today. Turned out parking here was horrendous due to an adjacent flee market taking up all the parking. Today 2/24/22, I stepped to the cashier to return 6 online items. It took 25 minutes for the cashier to do that job. I know that it doesn't take that long to print the stickers and return six items. It's the fact the the cashier was constantly distracted by other associates and even a person who I thought was the manager. These distractions were in the form of personal small talk and shooting-the-breeze. At one point after waiting 20 minutes, I had to step in and tell the others to not distract this guy that was processing the returns. I don't blame the cashiers and associates. The lack of focus and discipline reflects directly on management, specifically at the checkout counters. I'm going to follow through with a complaint to corporate, and I urge anyone who experienced the same poor slow service to do the same. With enough bad feedback, the service at this store will be improved. read more

We always go here and we will buy so many things and the customer service is always great, and we find so many things!!! One day we had 7 carts FILLED with items plus rugs, stools, and a mirror. Jake helped us ring all of it up, even though it was close to his break time. The whole transaction took 45 min and still he did it with a smile on his face the whole time. We did our best to help him, but he was awesome!! We also did a long return and he had to go through the receipt to find almost every item ,but he was still really awesome and SUPER cool about it so we just wanted to say THANK YOU JAKE! I like visiting Marshall's for the reason, they carry cute trendy clothes for infants and little girls. At times, you'll find a gem (handbag) in the many so, so bags they sell. This time I was looking for running shoes, I found a pair I liked and began to search for the size, within the unorganized pile of shoes. Bingo! I found the pair. I took the Nike snicker out of the box to make sure they were both the same size and I didn't end up with a 7 and a 10. The freaken shoe had CAT hair all around, inside and out. Just my freaken luck.. I'm allergic to cats. I already had it in my hands, and wasn't going to put it back. I did them the favor to take the pair to the dressing room to let them know, people like me get like a puffy fish. Others may get worst and can be hospitalized. She looked at me as if I was crazy. She didn't say one word. Not even- oh I'll let the manager know. She stood there looking inside the shoes, like oh you're over reacting. I always carry benadryl with me, why? After getting stung by a bee and getting a anaphylactic shock, I carry a EPI pen and meds. Others may not be prepared. When paying, I asked to speak to the general manager. She had stepped out, manager spoke to me and he was very apologetic. He is the African American gentleman. Thank you for expressing a concern about a serious matter. I understand clothes it tried on by others, but I've seen employees walking around, doing Nothing. They can make sure to check when they're organizing the shoes or items that those items aren't exposed to animal hair. For those that do have furry animals. Please be respectful to the rest of the people buying. Your animal hair can cause a serious reaction to someone. My review is base on the customer service of some employees and my reaction. I go here at least once a week and always see new stuff coming in. The beauty section is the best, I always find good deals on becca cosmetics, mac, and morphe. This is by far the worst experience I have had in my entire life! Javier should really look into Jennifer's customer service skills. I had purchased a blouse without trying it on, days after I came to exchange it with tags on and the original receipt and the cashier on the last number REMOVE one tag and called Jennifer. Jennifer proceed to say the blouse smelled like beer with a very bad attitude. There's no way that blouse smelled like beer like she stated, but she continued to embarrassed me telling me that blouse indeed smelled like beer. First of all, I don't drink and second that blouse didn't fit me. I do not care about that blouse anymore I will give it away but there is no way an employee that is suppose to have customer skills can assume and embarrass a customer just like that! read more

I came to this location to do a Return, and the manager Ronny told me she couldn't take it because it was a cosmetic & they do not return cosmetics. I told her I've never had this issue at any Marshall's location & she said they have authority to decide what they want to return. The item I was attempting to return was bought 3 days ago & had not been opened, however the first thing the cashier did when I gave her the item was open it. The manager then proceeded to say it was opened & used when it was the cashier who opened the box & opened the item. They told me the only way to return the item was to take it to the original store. This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had, they were accusing me of using an item that I literally had not even opened & had simply changed my mind on. From reading other reviews I noticed this store doesn't like taking Returns. They avoid them at all costs & it's extremely unfair to customers. Worst Marshalls experience ever. read more

I cancelled the card but now I don't know how to pay the balance I owe without giving them my banking info which I will not do. They no longer accept payment in the store. -In general I love Marshall stores. I have never been to this one and I don't know why I haven't! My boyfriend needed dress pants and shirts so we decided to stop by here since it is near our home. First off it is located a shopping strip and next door there is a Ross store which is super convenient in case you want to stop by next door on your way out. There is a lot of parking available around the lot. Finding parking was not a problem at all. -I was exited to see Homegoods and Marshall's in one! Their selection on women's and men's clothes is great. At least when we visited they had good choices on what we came in for. I was at this Marshall's on January 26, 2013 and scored a designer item on the clearance rack. On that day to my surprise, I also saw a Kate Spade black gold coast medium serena shoulder bag priced at $179. I knew the handbag cost up to $375 in other Stores but passed on buying the bag. I thought about that damn handbag all night long. The very next morning, I was at the Marshalls hoping that the Kate Spade handbag was still at the store. After a while of searching for the handbag, I found it in an odd place.... the clearance rack. Some other girl probably had to think about the purchase before returning to the store. We've all done it.... place the item somewhere out of place so that you can think about it and return to buy it the next day or two, lol. One of the best sources of discount Yoga gear in town. Bought my Pilates mat from Target for way more money until I discovered Marshalls' deep discounted merchandise. Bought a couple of great Yoga towels with mesh backing that adheres to floor preventing slipping, stretch bands, weights, and rubberized mats. Always nice to have the right accessories when you're exercising whether you're starting new, or updating old equipment. They carry water bottles, yoga gloves, headbands, socks with grips, hand towels, DVDs and other exercise paraphernalia. More then I've found at other discount stores. And the prices are competitive . . . $12-20 for a pair of active wear pants or t-shirts. Always a delightful browse. read more

Daughter comes here very often. Was here looking for after Christmas sales. Found a super pricey fancy, bejeweled tree skirt for 20% of it's original price. Can't go wrong with that. Also got a few shirts on clearance (yellow tags). I thought everything in here was already greatly reduced prices, so this was new knowledge for me. Also got a duo of doggie bowls in a bronze finished metal stand. Haven't seen that style elsewhere. I noticed when we were in line, another customer trying to return a purchase was told that item was NON_RETURNABLE. The cashier said it was corporate policy because it was made of cashmere. I felt a bit disappointed for the customer, that is info that the store may or may not have specified at the time of purchase. Too bad. read more
