Twice I have had to come here to make some returns. I shop online since my local torrid in brea closed recently. And I have had to return items I didn't like. The first time when I came I. To return the employee (a shorter Asian woman) asked me if I wanted to shop around first to make an exchange and when I politely said "no, thank you" she was visibly annoyed and turned away to speak to another employee. Making it clear she did not want to help me. Another employee, a tall woman, kindly called me over and said she would help me. She was lovely, and I felt valued and welcomed by her. But definitely not the first employee. Today I had to return a pair of pants I didn't like, and I walked around the store first so I would not be an annoyance again. Nothing caught my eye, so I went to the register to do my return. The employee asked me to shop around and make an exchange. When I shared that I had already looked around she looked annoyed and asked why I was returning my item. I said "I just didn't like them" and she asked why. I just didn't. It's that simple. They send their packages with no packing slip and the usually just look me up by phone number. When I went to the brea store they were always kind and lovely and never had an issue looking it up with my number. This employee visibly was annoyed and found it right away but made me feel like a nuisance. This is now the closest store to my home but I hate coming here. They don't make you feel welcome at all, and only one employee has ever been kind to me. Giving two stars instead of one because I did have a good experience with the tall girl. But I don't think she works here regularly. She said she works at another store most of the time. read more

Bad service at this location, I came again today and I was ignored, there's literally two employees and failed to help me after they acknowledged me waiting at the cashier area , they've gotten my online order wrong before and I kept coming here because it's the only place I know that have a good size for my cup size, and those other experiences weren't welcoming either delay customer service and ignored!! That I literally have to walk out because they are too busy talking. Out of the 5 times I visited I only got taken care of once and that was with the wrong online order read more

Great service from Daisy, she pulled a lot of items for me to try and help me get the best fit. I appreciate the effort since I was shopping alone and trying on clothes always feels like a production. The only issue I had is the dressing rooms need to be cleaned. The carpet in them is dirty, there is visible dust on the baseboards and under the seating area are clumps of dust and it's dirt. So management needs to step that up. The clothes are nicely displayed and neat, plenty of other staff offered to help me but just the dressing rooms lack cleanliness. read more

Horrible customer service. Came to return a bra I bought for my mom online. I thought policy was 60 days from delivery date but it was 60 days from the day I placed the order, even though it doesn't clearly specify that in their policy. I was 2 days past the 60 days from order date. Policy says something like "60 days from purchase" but a purchase isn't complete until I receive the items I paid for, so get a better copywriter, Torrid. I asked if they could honor it because my mom has cancer and has been going through chemo so she hasn't had time/energy to do return and I'm already overwhelmed too with baby/work/etc. Had receipt, bra was never worn, had tags attached... manager was right there to override but they said they couldn't honor it because of policy. They also lied to me. They said they had to to enter all my info first to start a return, which took a while, and there's a question that asks if I want to join their loyalty program. I pressed no. They said I have to press yes. I asked, I have to join your loyalty program to do a return? They said something vague like no but it just asks that. So very misleading and I still got an email from their loyalty program. I'm a first and last time customer. If you think it's okay to give customers a horrible experience in order to stick to your vague terminologies and policies, no matter the circumstance, your stores and company will fail. Store was empty. I wonder why. read more

The employees are great. Clearance items are what I look at the most. I pick up my orders here. The store is clean. The only issue I have is I ordered a pickup order and stopped by the store once the next evening,it was 6:40 pm and there was a sign on the door saying they closed at 6 that day. That was extremely irritating because I needed the blouse for the next evening. So I had no blouse for what I needed it for. read more

This store is the BEST place to go if you have a beautiful curvy figure. They have a vast selection of styles to choose from. The sales associates are the cherry on the top of the customer service sundae. Everyone there is soooo nice and helpful. After being greeted as soon as I walked in the door, I entered into a colorful world of clothes that actually flatter my figure and don't make me feel like an old lady. Their styles are current, comfortable and flattering to my body. Not loud, boxy, big designs like some of those other plus size stores. (You know where I'm talking about, ladies.) My regular store used to be Montebello, but their lack of attentiveness was discouraging. I have shopped at Torrid for over 10 years. I work in customer service and understand the frustration; however, a few of their sassy reps deterred me from returning. I now take the longer drive to cerritos to get my shopping done. I have visited this store on several occasions and have encountered different levels of business and rush hour. I have seen customers walk out because of the wait; however, I personally didn't mind the time. Yesterday's experience left me with a sense of appreciation for the Torrid staff. I have never taken the time to get to know names, but I'm glad I did this time. I walked in on Tuesday, 2.22.22, around 11 am. Instantly, I was greeted, another rep retrieved my package from the back, and yet another rep secured a fitting room for me while I shopped. I returned a few of the items I received and purchased other items found in-store. I was assisted by Isabel. Not only did she interact with her colleagues in a calm and respectful manner, she also managed to make me feel valued regardless of the line forming behind me. Here is a rep who is an asset to the company. I placed additional orders to be shipped to my home and not once did she give me sass. Her team mates were efficient and courteous and I am grateful for their teamwork. I am pleased with this location. It is apart from the mall, there's always parking and their clearance section constantly revolving. read more

What happened to Torrid customer service? When you go in expecting to spend a lot of money, and have to go and track down a sales associate to open a room for you. What happened to taking the clothes from your customer and placing them in the dressing room neatly. What happend to going back and checking on the customer to make sure they're ok? What happened to asking the customer if they needed a different size? Taking the purchases the customer wants to the counter? None of this happened, none of this has happened anytime I've been to this location. Also we had to carry out several tiny bags because they were out of big bags. The cashier that rang us up was friendly, she apologized for the bag situation, and I understand. But I used to work for Torrid, and the lack of customer service here would have gotten me and my ladies in serious trouble! read more

I live a hr away from from store . I was ok nerf of something to wear for a special occasion . It took me an hr plus to find something I almost ended up leaving with nothing . Great customer service. Torrid you really need to get your game on with more younger clothing . Everything looked so old and please update the clothing and please stop with the trapeze or sister dresses all those extra pleats in the front only make a big girl look bigger . The service is usually great here at this Torrid but the other night I had an experience returning quite a few items from an online order I placed. Where to begin... I used to work at a clothing store and everyone hated doing returns. I've worked in customer service for 11 years and some are not cut out to work with people. I was helped by an older woman during the holiday season this year and she started out my return by saying "please don't return.." That's not a way to start out a transaction even if that's how you feel. I understand returns can be a pain but everything was sealed in its original packaging and I made it very convenient for you by having receipts ready and items separated. Either way, I think you need to practice being a bit more gracious and polite. You made my return uncomfortable and deterred me from shopping afterwards. Not a big fan of getting shamed for doing returns. On a positive note the manager was very kind and I could tell there was a conversation to be had after my transaction was done. One thing mentioned in front of me was "don't worry she'll yell at you afterwards." Regardless if your manager yells this is unprofessional behavior and your manager replied so politely by saying "I am not going to yell, I don't yell at you guys." This is embarrassing and not the time to call your boss out if that's what you intended. I'm not apologizing for returning because that's part of your duties as annoying and tedious as it may be. I hope this was a one time experience as I still plan on returning. To those of you hired during seasonal hours- please realize it's not the time to be lazy or for the customers to forgive your attitude because you don't like working. If you value your sanity, I'd suggest you let your girlfriend go alone or at least force her to buy online. Although the store has some quality selection, the customer service at this store is a dumpster fire of human suffering. Depending on the time you visit, you'll spend up to 30 minutes just waiting to buy something. I've waited less time in line for attractions at Disneyland. Torrid was one of my favorite clothing stores, but recently customer service skills has declined due to new store openings and what I assume on the spot hiring. The manager of this store is great, however when she's away or busy helping another customers it's seems like the other employees decline in both, work ethic and customer service skills towards frequent shoppers like myself. On the bright side Lane Bryant is next door, I'm not sure if I plan to patronize Torrid in Cerritos or in the city of Orange ever again. read more

One thing I like in particular is not having to leave the dressing room to get another size. You can ask the associate for another size and keep trying on clothes. I frequent this store often mostly for jeans because I have a hard time finding jeans or pants that fit me well. However more recently I've been able to find some very nice work blouses as well. I've never had a bad experience here so I am really surprised at all the comments about bad customer service. People are always friendly and helpful and I don't think I've ever waited longer than 5-10 minutes in line even when its busy. I love this store and the quality of the clothes! Asked manager if she can help, she responded with rude attitude. Horrible management, very slow employees, will never return here. After the 30 min wait they forgot to remove the security tag and took another 10 mins talking to each other about it slowly. No respect for customer time or for customer. horrible store. I use to go to the location in Stonewood Mall and it was average...just went there because obviously I love Torrid but the whole experience was just average due to not so great customer service. Now in this location is an entire different experience! It's very pretty & big with lots of space to walk around. I just love it! Two stars because I found the product I wanted but I'm pretty sure if I would have walked in any other Torrid I would have found it to. My biggest issue is the customer service. I was greeted and then not talked to once until I hit the register. I had a handful of items no one offered to hold items for me or start me a fitting room like at any other torrid I've been to. I was having issues finding my sizes but couldn't ask anyone because one girl was cashiering, another was way in the front and the manager couldn't be bothered. Another thing is the store looked like it was closed they were having some major issue with their lighting and it kept going on and off it was weird. I know that's a support center issue so it's not really on them but I wish there would have been more light. I will say that when I initiated conversation with cashier she was really nice but it shouldn't have to be that way. I've worked retail 6+ years and I know this is not okay. read more

This used to be my go to location, but what happened to the customer service here? I went in to find pants specifically, and I saw the catalog that recently came out was all about pants and jeans, so when I came in to my surprise, I immediately saw they didn't have anything in the store left, in anything?? There was literally only 3 different sizes in everything I looked at, even tops! Everything was a mess.. and a lot of empty spaces.. when I found something I really liked, again nothing in my size or proper condition! Every shirt was wrinkled as well, so I just grabbed what I could get my hands on before they disappeared, and no one came to ask if I needed a room, no one asked how I was doing unless I went all the way to them and asked, no one asked for my name. When I would ask for a certain size they'd just reply we don't have it, I literally had to ask if they would check, or check a different location or order it for me, it's like they didn't want the sale.. and when I asked for a fitting room to be started for me with a pile of clothes to try on and hope they would fit, because again, not my proper size, the girl who worked there just turned around said okay and walked away really fast, she didn't even grab my clothes first.. she literally seemed so annoyed that she had to walk back to me and grab my clothes when I finally got the chance to tell her that I still wanted to keep shopping.. What ever happened to "Comfortable, Cared for and Confident" ..I used to work for Torrid, so I know this place is a complete mess.. so sad.. and extremely disappointed in my go to shop.. read more

So I love this location. I had gone in a couple weeks ago to buy some clothes for a Disney trip I was making for my friends birthday and to get a gift for her as we'll. The girl that helped me was super nice and apologized for how long I waited in line which was nice of her. When I got home I set the bag to the side and didn't look at it again till the day I was supposed to go to Disneyland and I noticed that the shirt I bought for that day still had the sensor on it and I was supposed to meet my friends at 10 but this location doesn't open till 10. I was going to do my review when I noticed the sensor but I'm glad I waited. I decided to head to the store at 945 because I figured someone would be inside. I knocked on the door and the girl signed to me that they opened at 10. I yelled through the glass that I had to be somewhere at 10 and I just wanted the sensor taken off my shirt that they had left on . She looked a tad irritated but she did open the door and took my shirt and got the sensor off for me and apologized which I totally appreciated. I worked retail for 6 years and I hated being "that" customer and I really appreciate her taking that sensor off for me. I had been to the store two times before that and there's always cute stuff there and the girls are really nice. I prefer this location to the one at the Lakewood mall. read more
