This 5-star rating is entirely because of Nena A. Without her, this would have been a very different review. From the moment she assisted me, Nena was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely kind. She took the time to answer my questions (go through my list of perfumes) and educate me on different fragrances. Her professionalism and attentiveness are the only reasons I made a purchase. Unfortunately, the rest of my experience was disappointing and concerning. I do want to recognize the other the associates working the Jo Malone and Maison Francis Kurkdjian area for their assistance. The other associates on the floor disregarded me. One associate even stated she couldn't help me because I wasn't asking about the fragrance line she personally represents. Which is dismissive and unprofessional -- especially in a commission-based environment where customer service should not be selective. More concerning was the noticeable difference in how I was treated compared to other customers. It was hard not to observe that associates who ignored me were noticeably helpful and attentive to customers of other races. That disparity is disheartening. In 2026, appearance and skin color should not influence the level of service someone receives. Retail spaces should be welcoming and inclusive for everyone. Nena exemplified that standard. She was respectful and valued me as a customer -- something that should be the norm, not the exception. She is the reason for this 5-star rating. Apparently the staff at Channel is dishonest. I asked this female staff for the charm and she said to ask the guy there. I went to ask him and he act like I'm insane asking for a charm "we do not have charm" then he was like oh yeah but ran out 2days ago and if they have next year. WHAT IS HE SAYING? Great service at the Chanel station. I wanted to do an exchange of a product I purchased online due to the shade not being what I wanted. It turns out Chanel raised the price on their products by the time I went in to make the exchange, but the super nice worker went out of her way to contact her manager to see if they could waive the balance. I've bought 1000s of things from Nordstrom and once in a while, I'll need to return something and pay the bill on my Nordstrom card. Every single time I return or try to pay the bill. The staff is so rude. They act like it's not their job. I told the woman hi how are you and she completely ignored me and just said are you gonna pay the bill or return and then when I said both, she asked me why I'm gonna return this item. For beauty department only. I came to do an exchange beauty/fragrance department and my experience was very satisfactory. The young lady who helped me was patient with all my questions and very polite in assisting other customers as well. In addition, the gentleman working the Byredo counter was highly knowledgeable regarding the brand and the various fragrances. He helped me make a decision when I was choosing between a handful of nuanced fragrances. All the spaces I wandered through were clean and the staff was smiling and attentive. Variety of brands in the other departments isn't as luxurious as other Nordstroms, but I think that can be expected due to location. I do feel bad for staff; I heard TWO separate staff members talking with customers trying to return items that had been altered. Wild. In both instances staff remained courteous and calm. Overall decent service and variety in the beauty department, I left happy with my purchase and experience. read more

She is an exceptional stylist whose warmth, discernment, and care have made every shopping experience feel personal and supported. Shopping has never been easy for me due to body dysmorphia and the need for significant alterations, but Yoli has always navigated those complexities with grace and precision. Recently, after a major weight loss, I brought several suits back for alteration. In hindsight, the tailoring team likely should have recommended new sizes, given how extensive the changes needed to be. That guidance wasn't offered, and the process ultimately took eight weeks--far longer than expected. It was the first time I felt uncertain about whether I could continue trusting this location. And for me, trust is everything. Once it's lost, it's hard to rebuild--not just with me, but likely with most long-term clients. That said, I want to be unequivocal: none of this reflects on Yoli. Her service has always been outstanding. She has advocated for me, guided me through challenging fittings, and made me feel genuinely valued at every step. Decent selection. The beauty and cosmetics section is very well stocked and they have almost all of the beauty brands. There's a ton of associates to help you out and give you makeovers. The shoe section is also very spacious and they have plenty of chairs for you to try any on. As for the clothing, they have amazing brands with all sorts of price ranges. Everything was very clean and organized. I didn't find anything that peeked my interest this time, but maybe I will next time. Definitely stop by! read more

I recently took 3 items to the alterations department. I discussed what I wanted done with the seamstress and was told my items would be ready in a week and that I needed to pay in advance. The two dresses had the same description of what was to be done on the receipt although that is not what we discussed and not what was needed. When I picked them up I noticed one of the dresses had not been altered at all. I wasn't informed that it couldn't be done. So I was really surprised! I'm glad I saw that it wasn't touched before I left. The sales representative/tailor helping me tried to get me to leave it and they would get it done. I needed it for that weekend so I asked for a refund which I received after a lot of going back and forth. I have always trusted Nordstrom but this was a very poor customer experience. I come here often for curbside pick up orders and in person pick up. Recently, I decided to try their free one on one stylist and bra fitting appointments. The stylist appointment wasn't quite how I predicted it'd be, but I'm still satisfied with the outfits I tried on and left with a cute versatile tank top that my stylist had me try on based on my clothing taste, she was nice and helpful along with other Nordstrom employees. I tried on a few different dresses that she thought it'd like. I think one day I'll pay to have a stylist come to my house to help me figure out my personal style by looking at my current wardrobe. Giselle helped me try on bras and figure out my size after not wearing a real bra for 3 years (shocking, I know lol). Before arriving to my appointment I was only wearing nipple covers, bandeaus, individual cups and sports bras, mostly because I could get away with it being a B cup. Giselle helped me figure out my exact size and gave me lots of bras to try on. I left with a skims bra because I thought it was decent, but ended up returning it because the shape just didn't look natural enough. The return process was so smooth, I was able to return the bra tagless with a receipt a few days later, no questions asked! This was a relief because I was worried they wouldn't accept without a tag. I still appreciate Giselle for being so helpful. She really went above and beyond to help me find the exact look that I was going for. I think the Nordstrom in Cerritos just doesn't have a big enough selection so I may try other locations for bras. read more

I went to the Nordstrom ladies perfume department today Monday at around 7pm to check out the Tom Ford cologne. The lady who assisted me was so rude and acted like I was a burden asking to smell the cologne. If you don't like to work with people then don't work at a department where you will have to talk n assist customers. I then went to the men cologne department and Gabriel helped me purchase a cologne set for my son bday. He was very helpful, kind and provided good customer service. It's been a while since I've been back "in the real world as it has been opening back up." This last year has proved that we're all trying to pick back up where we last left off pre-covid so it's only fair I revisit my review. The last two orders I placed online I did get a 2nd email confirmation when my items were ready for pickup. I've used both curbside and indoor pickup and wait times werent too long. What I really appreciate is the amenities that were placed on the first floor- alterations and gift wrapping! They are side by side next to the online order pickup area near mens shoes and fragrances. You can get complimentary alterations and gift wrapping for items bought in the store. The sign said $8 to gift wrap items not bought at Nordy's. The longest I've waited for gift wrapping was 30 minutes on a busy Sunday. I came back again on a weekday and it was 10 minutes, awesome! read more

1/13/23 Almost always, Nordstrom has it goin' on with customer service, hands down! There are a few hiccups of clueless customer service representatives (if one could call them that title) who do not display this expectation. Today is no exception. He came in to pick up his order & inquired from one associate as she simply pointed him to the section of packaged orders and said, "It's over there", and walked away to tend to some waywardly shoe on display. My husband has been ordering his shoes from this company for more than 25 years at Nordstrom. To date it is the only company that provides the service of completing the application for mismatched shoes. My husband has two different size shoes. Thanks to the American Disability Act, every shoe store provides the opportunity to any customer to purchase two different sized shoes without paying for two separate pairs. What each store requires is for the customer to fill out the application to the manufacturer to make this possible. It's a long tedious process. Nordstrom provides this service free of charge AND it saves the customer all that hassle of the back & forth. As they say, time is money. We do appreciate that Nordstrom provides this time saving process. Another associate did approach my husband & patiently assisted him with his order. I saw the same associate who was supposed to assist him initially walk around and look "busy" moving display shoes to look display-worthy. We'll continue to patronize this company for as long as this service remains in full effect. Thank you, Nordstrom! read more

I am writing to express my extreme frustration and disappointment with the level of service I have received from your company. The experience I have had with your customer service team has been nothing short of a nightmare. Of all the places, Nordstrom is the last place I expected for such rude customer service. I returned an item that was in near perfect condition. There were no marks or scratches as I barely used the item. The sales associate that rang me up, Cynthia H (as listed on the receipt), was very rude and judgmental the moment she came into contact with me. She did not greet me and not even once smiled at me. She judged me the moment I said I had a return. She looked at the bag and said "Ew, you totally used this" and started making snarly remarks. Yes, I used the bag once or twice and I found myself not liking it. It is not my intention to use a product and then return it. After she had her moments of judging me, she even left me a nasty comment before I left. If I had used the bag and found it to be in a condition that was worse than when I had originally bought it, in no way would I have returned it. There have been instances where I ordered from Nordstrom and have received items that have been in worse much condition. I can recall ordering a pair of pants that had paint and a hole in it. I am truly shocked that a person like this is even working in sales. As a customer, I felt that she was racist because she is a white lady and I am a small, petite Asian. The other customers around me were white and also had returns but were given friendly service. Nordstrom prides itself on excellent customer service but this interaction was far from it. I hope Nordstrom will do better to train their employees. read more
