Love Kate Spade and the quality outlet merchandise, something for all tastes, BUT the salespeople are too AGGRESSIVE. I almost left because I was approached by one every few minutes. That's why I docked one star. If I didn't need a large bag for every day use, I would buy so many of their cute small purses. They have good sales, and sometimes further discounts upon discounts but very few clothes here and a small leather goods section. I notice some jewelry styles I bought here a long time ago are still sold. That speaks to the design's timelessness. To avoid crowds or having to wait outside, come during off peak times and only very early or close to closing on the weekends. read more

I just visited the store to purchase a gift for a friend and I was helped by a very friendly sales associate. However the person who rung up my purchase and supposedly the manager of the store was incredibly rude. When they brought out the bag (I had asked for a new one), he didn't even look at the bag and I pointed out it was dirty and even more flawed than the display bag. He proceeded to go back to grab another bag for me and everything was fine until after I made the purchase. He proceeded to slam the bag over the counter for me to take. I thought it was odd that he felt the need to do that and he could've gently put the bag on the counter so I could grab it and leave. Im incredibly disappointed at the lack of service considering the price of the bag was quite expensive when you consider the price of the other bags they have in the store (it was a baby diaper bag). It's inappropriate for any manager to act this way and I hope that if he does come across this review he will consider fixing his attitude towards patrons. If you don't like your job, you could quit! All of the other sales associates on the floor were very friendly and approachable. read more

Today we were shopping to purchase a purse so we made the rounds to several stores at Citadel and decided to go into Kate Spade. We went to go walk in...mind you it's a Monday mid afternoon...no one inside besides the workers and maybe 3 customers and the lady (store employee) stop us and told us to wait in a line. There was no line and no one was waiting. There were 4 of us and we are black. We were able to literally walk in all the stores today literally all the stores. We did not wait and left the store. No one asked us to wait outside with 3 customers inside. I'm disgusted by the treatment of your store employees and WILL NEVER Patronize your store. We people of color spend our money too and as such will not patronize the store that we do not feel welcome in. DO BETTER!! read more

I called twice on July 5th about the Kate Spade 454 bag and both times, I got to talk to very helpful employees. The first employee went to check if they were in stock (they were!) and he did not hesitate to answer when I asked for the price. He gave me the price based off of the current on sale rate, but I forgot to ask when the sale will end. I called again later and the employee told me usually on sale rate changes on Tuesdays. I ended up going to the store the same day and had to wait in line. Once I reached the front of the line, I asked where I could find the bag and the girl happily answered where it was located. I was debating black or gingerbread and another employee, Veronica, helped me decide on the color. At check out, the cashier, Victoria (per my receipt), was also very kind and I ended up with an extra discount. All in all, one of the best retail experiences I have ever had! read more

Loved it!! OMG!! I can't say it enough, The customer service, the way they handle their attitude under so much stress! Simply impressive I visited this location after Xmas the line to go in was long but did not take long to go inside! The Wait was probably 5 minutes at the most. The employees are very nice. They have a nice selection of products. My only caution is to check your online orders before leaving the store. The employee handed me my online order in a bag and I told her wait I want to check it here at the counter I take the WHITE purse out of the bag and there was a HUGE black scuff all along the back of the bag. I showed it to her and she's like omg why would they pack that. I'd understand if it was on the bottom of the bag not seeing that but this was a blatant scuff all along the back of the bag. So what happened if I drove all the way home an hour away plus it was final sale. I'm pretty sure they hope you won't check bags before leaving so they don't have to damage out merchandise. I went to this store on Friday, October 11th around 5PM. I don't remember the names of the employees, but I am pretty sure with this timestamp you will know who was working on that day. Long story short, I saw a bag and told the lady that I want to buy it and want to get a brand new one if they have it in the back (I don't like getting items that were touched by 1000 people). While me and my dad are waiting at the cashier, the same lady that I asked to get the new one brings the same bag in yellow color to "show" it. Right after they bring the color that I wanted and immediately shoved in the bag not giving me a second to double check the bag. Sure enough the bag they gave me has a nasty defect (looks like liquid whiteout) on the back... absolutely ridiculous. I don't think this is the right way to treat your new customers. I have no time to drive an hour to return it or exchange it, that was supposed to be a gift for my mom and obviously I am not going to send this monstrosity to her. I hope the management will look into this kind of issues in the future, because I AM NOT COMING BACK TO THIS STORE ever in my life again. Shame on you people! read more

This store has great customer service. Staff members greeted us kindly; and even let us in on extra discounts they stack on top of the already applied discounts. Students get an extra 15% off with valid ID or online school portal! Emily and Belle helped us out the most, and were even kind enough to get a new bag from the back stock so that I didn't have to purchase the one on display. They had some crazy super sales during Thanksgiving and BlackFriday sales... I purchased 2 items here a day prior to Thanksgiving... medium sized hand bag for my mother in law and a over the shoulder bag for my wife. Both were priced over $500 on regular prices, but had 70% sale for the thanksgiving sale! I love this shop! I have this little ritual where I buy myself a new bag every time I achieve something at work - promotion, new job, big deal, etc! While I'm kinda a big deal - I also know it's easier to spend money than to make it so to the outlets I go! This shop is Small but so good! I usually come down on Sunday or a long weekend and they have extra 20% off the already clearance prices so I'm always tempted to get two. They make you queue up outside because the store gets hectic without it... it's totally worth the wait! One thing I love about this shop is the ladies walking around being helpful. On more than one occasion I've been mentally calculating the discount on top of discount plus tax and just when my eyes are about to cross, a lovely attendant with a calculator offers to price me up - what an angel! I've bought such fun bags here. From spring collections with floral to a baby bag I converted into my laptop bag cuz none of the laptop bags online were even remotely cute. I get compliments all the time on that one and I love telling people my little secret conversion! I came in here looking for deals, and deals are what I got. I have been on the hunt for a designer pair of sunglasses, I feel that it's time to graduate from the cheap target ones I had been purchasing for years. I came in to Kate Spade looking for sunglasses and sunglasses only, but I somehow convinced myself to get so much more. First off, I'm assuming the employees work off of commission because you are greeted right off the bat and are given their name. I met a nice girl, Linda, who was describing the days deals. There was a huge sale going on and I somehow managed to find a pair of glasses that I liked for 40% off. Not only did I find a pair of glasses, I found an adorable wallet, and a bag to go along with it. Even with the savings, my poor pocket book was sad. However, I love the items that I purchased and I always make sure to stop at this location for discounted products. The store was clean and easy to navigate, despite the large amount of crowds inside. This is the first time I have visited this storefront as I was so use to their smaller store just across the path at the Citadel. It is nice to see that they have moved to a larger place. Santa knows I've been a good girl ;) I was so happy to see a Kate Spade store at the Citadel outlet during a recent holiday shopping trip. I simply adore Kate Spade and was excited to see this newly opened boutique. Overall the store had a 60% off sale going on when I went but I actually spotted some cute things that had the 60% off plus an additional 20%. The security guy also gave me a tip that I could get an additional 10% off with my VIP card. Woohoo to the guy being a Santa in disguise and giving me that extra tip! Overall I found the folks working here were super helpful with price checks and any questions. During Christmas, there's always that question of whether you have been naughty or nice? Hmm, after my trip here, I want to say I've been pretty nice. I walked out with a new bag and a bracelet for less than a $100 with all the discounts and the additional VIP savings. 90% discount for this nice girl ;)!! Pretty nice, indeed! What sets apart Kate Spade from the other purse/bag store outlet stores at The Citadel? For one you don't have to wait in ridiculous long lines. Two, you get just the same if not better quality. Three, the crowd and staff is friendly and not pretentious. Four, the products here might be at an outlet store but they don't appear to be department store rejects. The store itself is great. It just opened here at The Citadel recently. Great merchandise, major variety, and great sales. Staff is so friendly and courteous. I visited the first time back in early November and I had a hard time deciding what to get. Even though I walked out with a purse I loved, I realized when I got home it wasn't what I wanted for daily use. I went back mid December to exchange it and it was a painless transaction. No questions or forms to fill out, just a cool, seamless exchange. Again, I had a hard time picking out a purse, it's like being a kid in a candy store! Gorgeous variety of bags and purses, wallets and wrislets, and there's even a room in the back with a mirror to check out how you look ;) I'm obviously not a fan of Coach or Michael Kors, never have been. I don't get the fuss over standing in such a long line for a product that you can get elsewhere for the same amount or less, just a different label. I know it's a status thing. You can live in the hood but as long as you own a piece of MK or Coach, you've gained status. If one likes MK or Coach for other reasons, kudos! Love this store! Glad it's arrived at here. On Sunday afternoon 3 ladies and 2 kids went to shopping at Citadel. It was unbelievably crowded. After checking a few stores for Luise, a German girl, we saw the line at kate spade. Normally i would not wait to get into a shop, but we all wanted to go in just to see the reason of long line. The major attraction was on top of 40% off, you get 20% off! We all got excited about these off thing. We stayed maybe about 30 minutes, bought cute little bags each. It was super cute and a good deal. We had lunch after that, then went to back to kate spade again just to see the iPhone6plus case, we saw earlier. In the end we each got iPhone cases and were happy. It was so crowded, so I can't say they were nice to the customers or not. I just didn't like to wait outside of the store..though was worth it. read more

Before leaving Los Angeles today and heading back home to Phoenix,AZ we stopped in at these outlet center which is pretty big , great prices , good stores . So I walked in to the Kate spade store and was greeted right away . They are super nice at this location been to others in the country and nothing like there customer service very helpful and knowledgeable in there product . They gave me a tour of the store , letting me know there personal favorites, explaining the difference between purses and shapes and uses . Different kinds of material and colors . Just so very helpful . So I ended up buying 2 purses a black one and a dark green purse . For a super bargain price . So lady's if your in the L.A. area or live there and even gentlemen you need a special gift fo that special someone I definitely recommend this spot cause you will get the help and product , service you need . Before spotting the Kate store, I was across the walkway at Coach, and braved the chaos of the women seeking out their 50% of the 30% mark down bargains. I am a fan of Coach, but lately the designs have been so boring, and the designs at the outlets have not been very creative. I walked out empty handed. When I spotted the Kate Spade outlet across the walkway, I had to go inside to "take a peek". I've been to some of the other KS outlets, primarily in Las Vegas, and this is a decent size store. Its well laid out, although a bit cramped. The crew who lays out the handbags really make use of the vibrant colors in the middle of the store, and the subdue colors on the edge and entrance. I came here with no plans to buy a handbag. I'm surprised many people commented the sales "vultures" were circling them. I was greeted twice, and then allowed to roam the store. Maybe I look poor? Who knows. I already have my "favorite" Kate handbag, but, being its Spring/ almost summer, a lighter color handbag would really perk up my wardrobe. Kate bags have certain distintive looks. There's the signature boxy handbags, and then the dome shape ones she's had the past season or so. My favorite is a dome shaped one in dark/ light charcoal, and I simply love it. But when I saw a wheat color one in a straw / leather combo, and, with the 50% off, how can I say no? One thing I have learned about Kate Outlet and Kate retail merchandise is the outlet handbags are usually made for the outlet. Its still great quality, and you get the label, but chances are, you won't find the item in the retail store. (Same applies for Coach, which is why the outlet purses are inferior in quality). If you like the design, and are happy to pay 50-60% less than retail, this place will make you happy. My new "straw" purse is the same design as my charcoal one (purchased at Nordstrom) but the material is thinner, if that makes sense. Again at 1/2 off, I left this Kate store with 2 purses totalling $300.. its like getting 2 for 1! Thumbs up for this location. read more

Absolutely love coming to this store because they have such amazing deals! The employees are always eager to help and they have a great selection of merchandise available for you to explore. My personal favorite is the back end of the store that features their clearance items. They include purses, clothing and outerwear, and even luggages! I always come in thinking I just want to take a look at their collections and somehow leave with a bag of goodies afterwards. Call it lack of self control. Call it great saving! Take your pick. On the busier days, they have a queue set up outside because the store is actually quite small. I find that this definitely makes the shopping much easier than having a massive crowd inside because nobody likes huddling over the same table, fighting over the goods. You can hold items if you don't want to commit to it just yet, which is pretty neat! I often do this if I'm torn, so if I do decide to come back then I know I really wanted it. There's really nothing else to say about this store other than it's great and you shouldn't waste any more time deciding whether or not to come in! (86/100) read more

It's a small store with a large amount of inventory and I'm guessing that it cuts down on thievery. Not to mention that you are absolutely bumping into people once you get inside, so yeah, a little crowd control is necessary. I personally have never waited more than like 10 min. It's mostly handbags and wallets with a limited selection of accessories and clothing. They don't carry any of the housewares, just FYI. The really awesome part about the Outlet store is the sales. They will offer 70% off of sale pricing. My most recent purchase was for a bag that was only $47 after all the discounts. A medium-sized Kate Spade bag for under $50? Take that, TJ Maxx. The only downside to coming here is that you're unlikely to leave without a new bag, so plan accordingly. read more

If you want the deals you're going to have to be prudent and patient. I came here to pick up a bag and there was a significant line with only one register. There were 4 employees working and no one bothered to open another one. They have a lot of MFF (made for factory) items here that you will never see at a legitimate retail store. They also have designs you will see at retail, but in off colors. I've gotten at least 3 bags from this specific outlet shop and they've held up well, about the same as the ones I picked up at Nordstrom's or Bloomingdales. As long as you're careful about not picking up obviously MFF items, you will do ok for a lower bankroll. Who knows what the future brings though, as Kate Spade was recently acquired by Coach. read more

Better quality over anything you can get at Coach or Michael Kors. Kate Spade maintains a classy and sophisticated look without breaking the bank. The inside of this store is so cute and fancy and I never feel stressed out here like I do in Coach or Michael Kors, where the staff hovers over you or the customers hoard the bags like they're free. The lines may be long line but it moves quickly, there's always lots of new things to check out and the customer service is always friendly. read more
