If you have read any of my reviews, you know that ALL revolve around customer service. And let me begin by saying that by all accounts and by all my experiences at just about any Nordstrom I have frequented have always been positive. Until today. I will make this review as painless as possible and will only relay my experience. I went to the Nord at Cerritos looking for some jewelry for my daughter's for Christmas 2022. I noted an item I liked, picked it up an approached the young lady working the counter. Noting that she was speaking with someone already, I waited and even walked away until I saw she done. I then again approached her and said excuse me. She replied , "yeah?"....I stumbled over my words because I'm not used to being addressed so flippantly by an employee of such a high end department store and ... said "Yes, can you price check this for me? " And handed her the item. Feeling still flabbergasted I actually just walked away after she took the box....I didn't know how to respond and didn't want to react poorly myself. So I just put space between us and figured I would find someone else in the department to help me. Ultimately, I never went back. The pic is not her but that was the face she gave me... I have torn feelings because I love Nord and I don't expect anyone to roll out the red carpet for me but a "hi, how can I help you" would have been welcome. I left the young lady's name out of this review for privacy. I hope she wasn't having a bad day or anything like that. At the same time, I hope this isn't her usual greeting to customers. read more

Edit: Edgar is a male somehow my review refer him as a girl it was the Google voice mistake. Edgar at the sunglasses department is super helpful friendly and professional. I was there looking at some sunglasses, the Chanel sunglasses caught my attention. I try on several of them and Edgar was giving me some recommendation and he offered to make it fit better on my ears to some of them were tight. I end up with a pair but they don't have a new one in the back. Edgar offered to place an order for a new pair to be picked up, I pay immediately and I would go back next week when the glasses is there, Nordstrom send me a 20 off 100 coupons so I basically buy it almost tax-free. Nordstrom is literally my favorite department store,but there should be NO REASON dogs over 20 pounds need to be in the store.. I'm not talking service animals. I'm talking Great Danes and cane corsoS. Who TF wants dog hair on their clothes that they are spending hundred of dollars on! It's really unsanitary and UNCOMFORTABLE! The employees are very invasive. At first I thought they were very attentive and caring but after a few visits it felt more like I was being watched and followed around the store. I once asked for a dressing room and while changing I noticed one of the employees pressed up against the door so closely that her feet were under the door. I couldn't tell if she had her ear to the door or what she was doing. She didn't announce herself or knock. Then she started unlocking the door. When I notified her I was still in there, she said nothing and walked away. I really dislike coming to this location because of the environment the employees create. Sometimes I'd prefer to make the drive to Irvine spectrum rather than interact with these people. It's very uncomfortable. read more

This location was having his annual sale event when I visited. They had a DJ (?) and it was packed. The store however seemed very clean and organized despite this. Women's restrooms are on the second floor while men get the bottom floor conveniently located to the exit.... The single gender neutral/family bathroom on the first floor always has a line. I waited for a long time for a man (other women told me looked like he worked at Nordstrom) to walk out after watching videos/a show loudly for over 20 minutes according to the other women waiting with their kids to use the family restroom read more

I have been coming to this Nordstrom since I was a teenager. I have always thought customer service has gone above and beyond for me. Today I was at the Laura Mercier counter and Samantha helped me. She was so kind, patient and helpful with whatever items I was looking for. Samantha helped me find a lipstick for myself and a gift for my friend. She was kind enough to also follow up on some Super Goop spf I was looking for and when they didn't have it, she gave me a sample of another one she thought I would like. If you're at this location and need some make up, go to the Laura Mercier counter and ask for Samantha. She'll go above and beyond for you. read more

Perfume attendants are rude and not helpful. I had to go to Macys for far superior service to buy my 4 perfume sets. I hope they work off commission, I spent over $800. This Nordstrom is OK. I have to say the one in San Francisco has way better service & food. Then again, the one in San Francisco is huge. I initially went to Nordstrom to look at shoes by Top Shop, one of my favorite brands. The selection was ok. The service I received was the worst in the shoe section. I had to look around for help, while the associates were holding conversation. I found it funny that they looked confused when I made eye contact.. It's like HELLO I need help lol. I eventually ask for help. The service was completely different than what I am used to. I bought no shoes. I then visited the top shop clothing department, I have to admit there was a great selection. Better than the last selection I noticed when I was back home. So I thought that was awesome. Definitely will be back for that. I then went to look at the kids shoe selection, pretty good service up there- butt unfortunately very short staffed. Which isn't necessarily the departments fault. I was looking to buy some glittery gray time for my toddler, but all the associates were too busy ringing customers up at the register. After waiting for a while, they missed a sale. I ate at the Nordstrom cafe. I ordered the roasted salmon risotto, the cashier suggested it. The flavor was okay, I wouldn't eat it again at that location. Might have a stronger taste at another location. My daughters chicken strip meal was perfect though. Kids menu is extremely cheap! I didn't appreciate the waiter not bringing an extra container for my daughters fruit. Might want to request that for your to go box if you done there, and end up with extra! I received the best service at the MAC counter! They unsold me, entertained my daughter & was very kind. I will definitely be revisiting them. That wraps up my Nordstrom experience. I've been shopping at Nordstrom Cerritos since my kids were small, taking them school shopping, and now that they're all grown up, The staff used to be fantastic and very helpful, but that's changed. Few months ago , I parked in the online pickup spot to pick up my items inside the store, as it was quite hot outside. However, a staff member I refer to as "Curbside Karen" confronted me, raising her voice to say I couldn't park there unless I had an online order. I replied that I did have an online pickup and showed her my order confirmation. While I was showing her my pickup confirmation on my phone, she turned away and ignored me, thinking I was recording her. When I went inside the store, things worsened. I asked another employee if I could speak to the store manager, but she was unhelpful and simply pointed to another employee, suggesting I talk to her instead. I had to call the store on my phone to request to speak with the manager. I explained to her where I was located inside the store and expressed my disappointment with the situation, though I'm not sure if the manager took any action. read more

I was looking to get me some new Sandals and found these cute ones in the picture provided they were size 7 and I am a size 8 the store was not swamp of costumers but I did see plenty of employees walking around in this department which I couldn't understand why it was so difficult to get assistance I asked 3x and all 3 x different employees from this department not sure if they just forgot or what. At the end after waiting on assistance for over 1 hour and a half I left to get me something to drink and came back and finally was assisted. So for anyone that has time to wait for a while this is the place for you if your looking for shoes and you shop at Nordstrom but if not skip it. Came in today just to walk around and look with my significant other. I had wanted to smell a fragrance that had been out, but was just going to leave since it was empty. That was when a retail associate came to help me out without me having to say anything. Her name was Amanda and she immediately got us the fragrance we were looking for, and went out of her way to show us other fragrances we might like. She went above and beyond for us even when the fragrance we were looking wasn't in her section. November 2019 This location use to be my go to for everything and i'm not sure what has happened but lately i felt when i walked in through several aisles of merchandise No one approached me. I got to see a lot of associates just hanging out around the floor bragging about the sales they made but still it's very disappointing how it's no longer about the service. I ordered online during the anniversary sale. I wanted to pick up in the store because I was leaving on vacation and I figured that would be faster. Half the order came before I left, but the rest came when I was on vacation. No emails came and when I went to pick up, the order was returned and they won't resell me at the sale price. Somehow, it is now the customers fault always at this location. I had asked if I could pick it up when I got the previous part of the order, but they assured me it would be there when I got back! Racism at it's finest: Visited this store today and was unfortunately racially profiled. We didn't expect to be shopping today so we didn't have our Nordstrom's card. Because of that we Had a temporary card printed out by the store, We used the paper card and attempted to shop in another department! This is where I was serviced by Rebecca and Diana. These two ladies insisted that the temporary card didn't Work even though we HAD just used it. I asked them to try another cash register but they refused. Instead they called Lost Prevention on my 70 year old mom. My mom talked to loss prevention today ! The "manager" finally came and used the temporary card at another register and guess what, it worked! The only set back with this store, is that, some beauty departments , don't have any sales person available right away then some displays are empty bottles of perfume, like the Tom Ford. Several times I tried to test the scent with some friends or to ask if they like ir, no where yo figure out cause it's empty and sled the salesperson if they have it to just test it, they got nothing . No one can just buy perfumes with just smelling the empty bottles that were sitting there for a long time, it is horrible! They should invest in it, if they want a sale, especially it cost a lot , no one will just buy it with the smell of the bottle that stinks. read more

Unfortunately the Cerritos Nordstroms has fallen victim to the pandemic and sub standard hiring practices. I went to buy a few pairs of shoes that I saw online. I was greeted by an employee (MB/A) and asked him if I could try on a pair of Nike Free running shoes. He retrieved the shoes and I tried them on. While he was assisting me another customer asked for help and the employee said he would be right back. As I waited for several minutes for him as he assisted the other customer I noticed that although I was there first the employee never came back to assist me. I eventually walked over to the employee and told him that I would like to purchase the shoes I tried on as well as order two other pairs that I saw online. The employee acknowledged me but continued assisting the other customer at the register. After waiting several more minutes I saw another employee arrive in the shoe department. I walked over to him and asked if he could assist me with my purchase and order. He replied, "wasn't he already helping you." I replied, "yes, he was but he appears busy helping another customer. I have been waiting for assistance." The employee looked away from me, didn't move, and said, oh! Seeing that the second employee just stand there appearing to have an attitude because I asked him for help infuriated me. I thought Nordstroms set the standard with regard to customer service. I have literally shopped at the Cerritos Nordstroms for two decades and have never had an issue with ANYTHING or ANYBODY. All I wanted to do was buy some sneakers but I wasn't able to do it. I most certainly won't be shopping at the Cerritos location any longer. Below average customer service. Brea is much better. I had to ask for assistance in the women apparel/gown depts. These ladies appeared to react in pain when I asked for help. Their names were MARS & ALEXSA. Mars was kinda than ALEXSA. Managers need to carefully monitor them and provide them with customer service training all over again. Very disappointed with the service in the BP/Topshop departments. I went in on 2/9 around 10:30am to exchange a top. I walked around with my return and exchange in my hands for about 5 min and wasn't acknowledged once, it was a ghost town in there as you could imagine on a Tuesday morning. There was an associate behind the cash wrap with her nose deep in her phone texting very aggressively and quick, like she was fighting with her significant other. I stopped and tried to make eye contact for a full minute until she finally felt my eyes. She looked up and said nothing, crickets. I asked her "you don't greet your guests?" Her reply was, I kid you not, "I'm texting a customer right now!" I giggled and said "sure you are." No I'm sorry, how can I help? ...nothing. It was so shocking I couldn't stop thinking about it all day. I was finally greeted with smiling eyes and made my exchange. I didn't get the rude associates name but she had long black hair, long pink nails and a "thick" build. I'm a former department manager at the Santa Ana location that sadly closed in 2017 and I couldn't imagine a member of my team treating anyone that way because they wouldn't be on my team. There are so many people right now that need jobs that you don't need to pay garbage to stand around and text. read more

One of the worst experiences I ever had at Nordstrom me and my friends went to go smell cologne and they got us "confused" with 2 other kids that stole a cologne and when they got me they didn't ask us anything or say anything such as "did you steal anything blah blah" and when they took me into the room for security they didn't let me answer and reminder were all 13 year old kids tryna look for something and we when we were walking out they asked us 3 did we steal and such but they only got me bc of a hoodie and I went to go shop for a cologne not to get arrested from some knock off security guards and they got me mixed up with 2 other teens stealing with a backpack and we don't have any intentions of shopping there again with out shitty experience we had this evening read more
