Some quests terminate marvelously in Stanton, California. I decided to drop into this 2nd Street while waiting to meet my darling for lunch. I walked in, scanned the racks, saw mostly the usual laughable lux streetwear brands (Supreme, North Face, Off White), and then I noticed a divine glow of colors emanating from the sweatshirts--a verdant, ethereal light. I reached out to pull the hanger out, and before I knew it my eyes beheld the true aesthetic glory of The Peep Show Madonna & Deep Throat neck Tattoo Hoodie by artist Ron Kibble. Front & center on the hoodie stands an august vibrant rendering of Jesus in front of a vast array of adult theaters, burlesques, peepshows, & adult video stores. The Mona Lisa herself is twerking in the background. Neon signs in the background flash all styles of vulgar screed. On the back of the hoodie: a blessed, iconic Madonna toting a machine gun. She too stands in front of a stretch of peep shows, dancers, strip joints, & adult video stores. A sign of perfection: the hoodie even had a cigarette burn in the elastic hem at the bottom. Needless to say: I bought this work of art, & I gifted it to a friend. I know now that the light of neck tattoo Jesus & Red Light District Madonna will guide my friend forever. I cannot say anything critical of 2nd Street for delivering such perfect trash to me in only mildly burned in one place condition. 5 stars. read more

I was getting a tattoo done nearby.. and wanted to visit on one of the many breaks. I wanted to check it out to see what 2nd street was all about. Upon walking in, the service was ok. They just gave you a "Hey... Welcome in." With no real enthusiasm. You have multiple options on clothes and shoes for men and women. Although the best priced things to me are the shoes. The clothes are at decent prices, but you have to look well to find the good deals. This is a higher end second sale store, so be ready to see big name brands like LV, Yeezy, etc. Overall, not too bad. read more

DO NOT SELL HERE Came here to sell some items and straight up got robbed. Not directly but due to gross negligence, I ended up missing 3 New York fitted hats worth $45 a piece and a varsity jacket that was worth over $100. after they reviewed what they went through some of my items no where to be found. I came back the next day w/ my claim and I've never seen such disorganized, unprofessional behavior. I saw my salesperson leave my items on the register and disappear for over 10 minutes. What I was originally told would take about 1.5 hours ended up taking more than 2 hours because of Mikey M.'s mistake in closing out the document. There was no apology, instead, I was told very bluntly that I would just have to wait an extra 10 minutes. As an adult, I understand that processes can sometimes take longer than expected. But some staff really need to be educated on priorities and a sense of urgency. Because of this delay, I had to reschedule work, which was very frustrating. My advice: Do not make any plans after your appointment here, as some individuals clearly take their sweet time with no regard for customers' schedules. read more

It seems to be more edgy, eccentric clothing so if you're ready to show off your personality and be a little different for a pretty penny, then sure this store might be for you. The store it's self is fun, the clothes have spunk and it's just all around nice. The staff is friendly. However, wether it's managsment or owners closing the store during peek business hours for inventory is poor business plan. People drive and waste gas just to c staff roaming around while paying customers wasted their time. I've been a business consultant for 35 yrs. Never, not one time have I ran into such poor business planning. If this is how they do business and it's seen what other factors r they doing. So would I recommend them? MY best guess is they r new to business and I believe u support the new business owners in their learning curves. However this is a major bad business plan. I've watched 8 ppl come within 15 mins. It's a recipe for failure. I can't imagine shutting down during peek business hours was at all a good idea. Inventory is before and after business hours. That way u don't have customers coming and seeing a staff looking at u like total idiots. I wish u all the best of luck. I don't think I'll return. Purchased a pair of heels that were dry rotted and called about returning them. I was told to come in, the manager Grace was the one that helped me out she was such a sweetheart, looked up my receipt and proceeded with a refund. This store is a little gem I always find amazing things at great prices. But definitely will make sure to double check next time I purchase a pair of shoes they don't have any dry rot. read more

I was very surprised that a 2nd Street even opened in Stanton! It's right outside of Rodeo 39 next to Phoholic (you'll smell it), and occupies a pretty small spot. Parking is a bit of a nightmare here, but I found success parking across the street at Walmart. Inside, there's a couple of aisles of clothes, but in my time of going, not too much variation. You had quite the number of $100+ name brand items and not too big of a selection of cheaper stuff. I still found something I liked, but that was after quite a bit of digging. This is the newest location that opened from this popular resale chain in Japan. It is in the same plaza as Rodeo 39, Club Pilates, and Planet Fitness. Parking can be challenging for this spot - if you come during a peak meal time, be prepared to circle for a spot. I did that for a couple of times around the lot until someone left. (Strongly suggest you avoid the spot in front of one small cafe as they will tow you if you're there for a different business or are there beyond 10 minutes.) It's next to the pho place, which is to the right of Rodeo 39. Staff were polite and greeted everyone who entered. They were pretty good at keeping the place organized and stocked, especially as people sold items and returned things they tried on in the dressing room. I did notice this location seemed to have more vintage and European designers. Not too many Asian designers like I've seen in Costa Mesa. I did find a couple of things to try on, but didn't want to purchase them, due to style or condition. Prices were similar to other locations I've shopped. Saw a Prada skirt with a little snag for $149 (probably several hundreds more brand new), some unique jackets, and tons of LV bags. Maybe if I'm in the area, I would stop in again. read more

I've been here a few times now but today I was disappointed. Came to sell and they said the wait would be an hour. I waited for two hours and all I got offered was $39 dollars for 17 items. That was after I signed up for their newsletter for a 10% mark up. I definitely was disappointed. Not only did they low ball me but the wait was insane. Wouldn't recommend selling here. read more

I tried on TWO jackets and a day later I have a huge rash on both arms which is now spreading to my legs. I also asked to try on shoes and they never let me. I would come here frequently to sell clothes I don't wear anymore. I would bring a lot of popular streetwear brands and Nike/jordans. They would usually give me reasonable amount of money. But I went recently and they started offering $.30 for items which is ridiculous. I rather sell my items online or even just donate my items.I know the company has to make their money but don't lowball people. They also said they provide an itemized list before you confirm your sale but they don't... they categorize your clothiers under generic tabs like "women's tops" so you won't know what they're taking in unless you ask to see the bin. The whole thing was a joke. Left my lightly worn clothes and shoes to be reviewed. While waiting, went around looking at their inventory and found a lot of stained, ripped, faded items hanging. Thinking to myself, my stuff is in way nicer condition. After they reviewed, they did want a good amount of my stuff, but to my surprise, they offered 10 cents per item. They want to buy at 10 cents and then turn around and sell things for like $10-$12. I would rather donate it than let 2nd street make a huge profit on a 10cent purchase. Great business plan... Pay 10cents and sell for $10 or more. In disbelief, I declined and swear to myself never to go back or recommend this place. It would have been better to say they are not interested rather than offer 10 cents an item. Yes, we understand we will not get a lot for worn items but 10 cents is ridiculous. They have a great selection of lower priced items along with more expensive very nice items. Lots of sizes available and fitting rooms. I like the vibes there too. All the employees are super nice too. I do recommend sizing up. Since the clothes are vintage some sizes might actually be smaller than the tags say. read more

Honest review from a full-time stylist Oh how spectacular this location is compared to others, and I've been to four of this brand chain. Easy to find, you kinda bump straight into it from the traffic light. EXTRA clean! I was barefoot in the fitting room so I know! I did buy that oversized blazer that looks and feels like Balenciaga for $9 Duh, see pics. In one visit I saw Louboutin pumps, Chloe boots, Marc Jacobs Jacket, prada wallets, Gucci and LV bags, Versace belt and much more. The store also has many old names and true vintage pieces, companies don't make clothes tike this anymore! Selling here is another level. I did bring a LOT of big brands in new/like new condition, some with tags. Same day I got paid 500$. It depends on what you sell. Bottom line: shopping here is even cooler than on melrose. Worth it. You get great value for your money and vice versa, goooood money if you bring great styles! read more

I went in their Stanton location today to sell 2 nylon bags. One was a Longchamp Le Pliage bag that I had for approx 1 month & the other was a Tory Burch Ellla nylon bag that I haven't used in a couple of years but was still in good shape & stored well w/stuffing to maintain its shape along with a dust bag cover. My receipt says the clerk is Kai R.....I filled out their form and she told me the wait will be 15-20 min and she will call me. I left & waited over 1/2 hr....she NEVER called me. 1. The Longchamp bag original priced at $140 .....(no tears/no fading/dark purple color.....wanted to give me $4.00 2. The Tory Burch Ella nylon bag orig price approx $200..wanted to give me $6.00. I told her I would not accept $10 total for those bags & she asked me what I would take it for....I told her $25 total (which is still lowball) but she would not accept $25.00.... I would rather give away both bags for free that accept her stupid/insulting offer. This place is a joke and I will NEVER do business with them to sell or buy. Buyer/Seller BEWARE. This place is a complete joke. I came in with a tub of brand new items with tags on it. I also had a garbage bag full of brand new purses from guess, an almost brand new coach, brand new Victoria's Secret collectible bags. they said they were pretty busy and they would probably take a few hours before they went through my stuff when they finally went through my stuff they barely looked through anything I had brand new dresses brand new Cammies from Torrid in like size 14, supposedly they accept plus size clothes, but when I asked her why she didn't even look at 3/4 of what I brought in and she said she already had a ton of this stuff I had a bunch of brand new Victoria's Secret stuff as well. I went through that whole store. There was nothing from Torrid. There was nothing from Victoria's Secret, and there was very little plus size anything in the women's department you could only find maybe extra large in the men's so I believe they discriminate against plus size because I have awesome stuff but they can suck it because I'm gonna put my stuff for sale on posh don't waste your time here I couldn't believe how old and crusty and disgusting some of the things they had for sale were and they didn't even wanna look at my brand new things. Stupid millennials morons running the store. So I took the stupid $33 they offered me for the coach bag and a few other items they kept bunch of idiots. I had thousands of dollars worth of wonderful beautiful brand new merchandise. Oh well their loss. I just thought I'd check it out hopefully they would be reputable and reasonable but nope!!!!!
