If you are looking for quality pieces that are vintage or high end, they got that too. Naturally though, you will pay more, like in the 12.99-24.99 price range. In all reality, this is fair considering if you went to a department store, you would be paying three times more than that. Also keep in mind that resellers will buy from thrift and sell to you at department store price or pretty close to it, so any review of this business complaining about price does not seem logical to me... Anyway, the items I came across are all in great condition and I slowly sifted through pretty much everything in this store- I saw no merchandise torn, stained or otherwise. At end, I purchased three form fitting all cotton plain t-shirts at $1.99 each, a vintage genuine leather skirt for $9.99, a vintage Calvin Klein pair of pegged utility pants for $9.99 and a Levi's premium authentic pair of jeans for $14.99 ( brand new, authentic premium Levi's jeans are now over $100 now and not sold everywhere). I was accused of switching the price tag on a pair of used boots that were marked $5.99. The employee even said, "People think we're stupid?" I was honestly shocked. I left the boots because I wasn't going to argue, but I find it incredibly disrespectful to be accused of something I didn't do. If there was a pricing mistake, that's something your staff should address internally. Please review your security cameras before making accusations against loyal customers. It's unfair to assume someone is being dishonest simply because an item may have been priced incorrectly by one of your own employees. I've supported this store for years, and I never expected to be treated this way. I hope management addresses how situations like this are handled so other customers don't have the same experience.

Volunteer Experience…read more I was a new volunteer, and unfortunately, I did not have a positive experience. While I was processing donations in the back, the woman in charge grabbed my hand and thrust it aside. It was because I reached for a pile she was working on. I found the physical contact upsetting and inappropriate. I did not know her and was new to the organization. She apologized afterward, which I acknowledge, but the incident still has affected me negatively. I was new and made some mistakes, and I understand that this may have been frustrating. However, I found that multiple times she spoke to me to be quite stern. She eventually softened her tone, but I still felt very uncomfortable about the interactions. I contacted the volunteers responsible for training and scheduling to let them know what happened. They apologized and told me that volunteering at Charity's Closet was probably not a good fit for me. I appreciated appreciated their response, but I was disappointed, because I was not told whether the incident would be addressed with the volunteer involved. I am sharing this, because I hope volunteers are treated with patience and respect, particularly those who are new. I hope an experience like mine does not happen to anyone else.

Stray Cat & Vintage Costumes was a little shop I noticed with my husband while driving down Harbor…read moreand we had to go in, had never seen it there before and it was right across Crepes Bonaparte, another place we decided to visit right after - this cute, small shop had a great variety of clothes and costumes. There was a homeless man in there walking around with a Domino's pizza box and I'm not sure if this is a thing around the location? Although he began shouting when he walked out, he was harmless. Will definitely be coming back when I have the money - it's nice having a place near like this as it doesn't require my husband and I to go all the way to LA to get some good, trendy stuffs.
