I have recently embarked on a mission to slowly changed my wardrobe with pieces in my color season palette. Changing an entire closet of clothes that not only make you look ill but bring no joy has been challenging. However, I recently found this little gem hidden in downtown Fullerton. I was captured by a beautiful black leather jacket on display. When I saw the brand and the price tag, I realized she belonged in my closet. It was a bargain! I also found multiple pieces with bright, cheerful colors that enhanced my skin tone, features. I realized clothes should bring you joy and make you feel confident. They have a unique, timeless, fun and special collection. I loved the customer service and kind disposition from the owner and the staff. Came from out of town looking to consign/sell some designer shoes. Called ahead of time (at 12:08 to be exact) asking if they were interested in Prada Loafers, the gal on the phone said the owner would be in between 2-3pm and could take a look at the shoes. I arrive at 2:39, meeting a gal at the register saying I called earlier and asked if they were interested in the shoes. Gal said she wouldn't be able to look at them without the owner, I mentioned again that I was told over the phone between 2-3pm would be when she would arrive, hoping she may call the owner if she was in proximity. Instead I was met with a harsh "she's not here." Zero customer service, and my original interest to shop around was immediately turned off. read more

Love this little hole in the wall consignment shop! If you like to rummage through designer and luxury brands, or just "higher end" brands of preloved clothes, this is a fun place to come. There's always a revolving door of bags, I found Chanel there once for $500 (it was very vintage and was missing a tag, but still). There's always Gucci, Fendi, a couple of LVs, in all kinds of conditions so if your budget is small it's a place to get some preloved stuff for a reasonable price. The ladies are always nice, sometimes I'll just go in there and try on a bunch of stuff, low pressure, they're usually willing to check with their consigners about pricing, etc. I wish they were opened more regularly because a lot of times I go by and they're closed in the middle of the day. I've purchased barely-used Everlane shoes, preloved LV, a beautiful YSL silk scarf, and once found a MINT condition vintage Coach bag in a classic style with perfect leather. Their prices are always so good and I am always greeted with friendly smiles. On my last purchase I saw a purse in the window and absolutely had to have it for my lady. I called and left a message stating that I wanted this purse. The owner called me back and assured that she would have it ready for me as soon as I was able to come to the shop and check it out. Love this place, it has high quality clothing! The pieces I have from this store are my some of my favorites in my closet currently.

I brought in some very high end clothing. Ralph Lauren and Pendleton, etc. I was told they were beautiful items, but had to have no wrinkles and be on hangers. I told them I would consider that and maybe bring them back. When I steamed out the wrinkles (we had put them in a bag to transport) I had them on hangers, no wrinkles. The young woman said they had rejected them earlier. So I said we addressed the issues you raised. She refused to even look at them. I said, fine you can reject unworn Ralph Lauren suits, and Pendleton jackets. They were very rude about it. But then the older woman said, let me look at the suit. But since they had stated one issue and refused to even look at the items when the issues they stated were addressed, I said at that point I would rather donate the items, than give them to that shop. I refuse to go in there again. I wouldn't bring them any items either. It used to belong to a nice young woman. These are new owners, Try the other shops. read more

If you want them to sell your things without them keeping accurate record of your items sold. Then this is the place. They have sold many of my items without entering them into the system. I have given them so many clothes, accessories and jewelry confident that they will keep an accurate account. That is not the case! I also know this as a buyer at their store. Many items were not tagged. She would just give a price on the spot, and I had wondered if the consignor would get credit for that item. Finally, I had enough of them not keeping track of my items, and wanted everything off the floor. I still have items missing that are not accounted for. They had the nerve to say they donated them after being in the store 60 days. I know this to be a lie as many of the items I retrieved had been in the store 60 days or longer! I also consign with 2 other stores. Both of which are extremely professional and keep very accurate records of items consigned. I was going to sue Second Avenue for missing items! But decided it was not worth the headache and stress going through that. read more

I am not so sure about this place. I took my mom and my aunt here when they were down visiting me, and once we walked it it felt like we were being monitored. Since we had been walking around a lot through Downtown Fullerton before entering this establishment, I took a seat on the couch in the back of the store to wait for my mom and aunt to finish looking around. My aunt had pulled a couple blouses from the racks and took them up to the front to ask if she could try them on or not (no one asked if we needed assistance). They told her to go ahead and make her way to the dressing rooms which were right next to where I was sitting. No one followed her in or anything to better guide her of their regulations for the fitting room so she jusst went in, tried on the clothes and came back out. Since neither of them were flattering on her, she put them back were they were respectively found in the first place. Immediately one of the employees gets up and makes her way to the fitting room, goes back up to the other employees at the front of the store and then one of them asks my aunt where the black embroidered t-shirt went as if she had stolen it. They kept eyeballing her backpack (her purse), and then back at her. I was sitting in the same spot this whole time and witnessed my aunt put it back on the rack in the same spot she had found it. The employees claimed to just need it because it was "actually supposed to be on the sale rack outside". I call bull. They ended up finding it on the rack where my aunt had originally found and put it back at. Stores like this with overpriced, already used items, should not be accompanied with bad attitudes and horrible service. Customers should be treated with respect and not put on blast with suspensions of stealing just because a stores employees are not capable of doing thier jobs and assisting customers/making sales instead of gossiping in the front and disrespecting people. I was looking through the store, and not once did the sales girl acknowledge me. I finally found something and took it up to the counter. She said, oh this is the wrong price and wanted to charge me more. I told her that she should honor the price tagged on the item. She looked through the computer and couldn't find the correct price yet she still didn't honor the price tag and she ripped off the tag. This is a very small consignment shop, but they have a good amount of quality clothes and accessories. I was drawn in by the $5 rack and ended up buying a cute vintage silver ring and bikini cover up. The prices were okay, but I didn't see any amazing deals- tops ran about $15-20 and fur coats ran $45-200 which seems about right for a consignment shop. I'd check back again, but it's nothing to write home about. read more

We were walking around downtown Fullerton last week and came across Second Avenue Consignment Clothing. It was a very organized, cute, reasonably priced little shop and the owner was so sweet and personable. It was clean and the merchandise was high-quality and fashionable. I want to share my many years of WONDERFUL visits to the "Second Avenue" Store located in the heart of downtown, Fullerton, CA. I've been a customer for over 20 years and met the new owner over 10 years; she treats you with respect and excellent customer service, and with many of us that are return customers, we become good friends. This store is an excellent place to shop for casual, office, formal and evening wear as well as beautiful handbags and shoes and beautiful, and good quality jewelry. The quality of the merchandise is solid and well known design brand names. It is rare that I leave the store without buying something beautiful!! and amazing bargains!!!!
