I went and sold several items and had a delightful conversation with the (I believe vegan) dark haired manager she was telling me all about her experience at universal studios. Shortly after, she had to go on break so she swapped with a buyer (she was wearing glasses and a pony tail) half way through. She was weirdly abrasive, not friendly, threw my items on the counter with no regard, loud and just overall was not a good person to interact with. Maybe she was autistic and didn't know how to socialize? Maybe she was having a bad day? Who knows. When I asked for the pen to write my store credit total on the card (normally they do this every time you cash out) she gave me, she practically threw it at me. So I threw it back at her after I was done with it. After the obvious uncomfortable interaction, she just walked off. Basic customer service was atrocious as soon as the buyer filled in. read more

My absolute favorite spot to sell and thrift! They have online check in which helps free up some of the waiting time and also helps to keep the selling area less congested. The selling area is tight, and the parking lot is behind the store so there is a little walk required so keep that in mind when bringing things in (modest sized trash bags, do not use boxes!). I drive about 40+ minutes to get here and always bring a minimum of 2 luggages- even if they are busy selling, they get through buys pretty quickly. They have lots of cute clothes and unique pieces here! A lot more gen Z to younger millenial oriented clothing but I'm not mad about that. As with other buyback stores like Platos Closet or Uptown cheapskate, you will not get back much for your items so only take clothes that you'd otherwise donate (because a little money is better than nothing). If you keep this in mind, I think you can manage your expectations better and leave much happier. Every experience Ive had here was so professional, cheerful, and pleasant! Came in to get my items priced but the person reviewing the items didn't even get a confirmation from me before putting tags and tossing them aggressively in the metal basket behind her (yes tossed like trash). When I said I was taking my shoes back, the person was very visibly upset and just ripped the tags off, didn't even use scissors. Truly the most despicable service I've ever experienced. Rad finds and super easy to shop. Clothes are clean and organized. Lots of styles from different time periods.

First off, everything inside is extremely overpriced, way higher than what you'd expect, even for a resale store. What really bothered me was the sign outside advertising " 75% off sale" When I went in, it turned out to be one tiny rack with barely any items on it, which felt really misleading. On top of that, no one even greeted us when we walked in. Basic customer service goes a long way, and it just felt unwelcoming from the start. Between the prices, the misleading sale sign, and the lack of customer service, I won't be coming back. read more

Service was absolutely wonderful. There are lots of thrift and vintage shops in this area and Buffalo Exchange is always a fun stroll. I didn't end up finding anything I liked enough to buy but my sister found a really cute 90s dress. Some notes: Prices seem good for some items but not for all. Like I saw a Star Wars shirt that I got from 5 below last year that was obvi $5 but they were selling it here for $15 used. There is a smell but I suppose that's to be expected haha. There were people with tons of bags waiting to sell their clothes that took up the whole front part of the store so it wasn't easy to shop in that area. Happy thrifting! read more

Seems like most of the negative reviews are from consigners? As a buyer I really like coming here. The staff are really welcoming and always proactively ask if I need help. The merchandise is very, very well organized when compared to other thrifts. The store is cleaner than most other equivalent stores too. I came in the other day to look for some items for my Coachella outfits and asked Claire (I think that was her name glasses and brown hair) if she could help me find some things from my Pinterest. She stopped what she was doing and looked for the items herself! She showed me the things she found which were perf and helped me into a fitting room. I ended up buying a complete outfit! Woman with the piercings was kind enough to look through everything, unfortunately she was only able to take 3 items however she was fast and efficient. I feel like I was discriminated from the start because of my age. I came in to sell with three bags of clothes and shoes. The people ahead of me were assisted by another person who purchased many items and I understand they buy what will sell well but I had wide leg jeans which she told me would sell and yet mine in good quality she did not buy. I asked her why and she said it had to be a specific fabric. I really just got the vibe she was not going to buy from me just because of my age. I have sold here before with no other issues. came in with some large bags to sell expecting to make some cash but only received a few dollars for a name brand clothing.. im not sure how they pick their clothes but it's definitely based off their personal style. i had many name brand clothes that were in great condition they didn't want. i wouldn't come back here again to sell. a lot of the items here they sell are also overpriced. some workers seem friendly and helpful but others seem rude and had an attitude. it's a bit of a scam how little they pay you for your items that are new and name brand. read more

Buffalo exchange has a special place in my heart, it was my first job interview and Tucson is my hometown, where the company started and is headquartered(the Tucson location is the best imo) I find that they really do their job and hire employees who are super friendly, inviting and helpful! I've never been to a location where this isn't the case. Although this location isn't my favorite in terms of finds, it's one of my favorites to peruse when thrift stores are dry around the area lol. I was in the store yesterday and found four great items, every employee there acknowledged my presence(unlike other buy sell trades like crossroads or Plato's) and one girl even turned on the ac as soon as I mentioned I was warming up lol(wasn't trying to complain, just making convo) I really appreciate her doing that even though I was leaving the store anyway. Super condescending staff when going in to take in a ton of clothes that were partially already bought from this location, and others that were in good, recent, condition. Received odd comments about what was brought in and will not be back. Zero customer service asking if any help is needed bringing in a lot of clothes struggling through the door without even an acknowledgment or glance. Another girl was waiting to be rung up since before I even got there and she had to ask twice just for someone from the back to come ring her up since the other two up front were just talking non stop. Brought a whole bag of brand new pristine condition in fashion clothing items to sell and none of them were accepted every worker here has the worst attitude and acts like you're beneath them with their stupid boxy t shirts, I could go fit for fit with every one of these fools and come out on top. My items weren't accepted for "small holes and blemishes" but every item I see in store is torn and withered. My gf even brought items to sell and they judged her clothes saying things like "what do you even wear this with" all while wearing the most corniest fits ever. Depends they have a lot of clothing which is great if your buying; but if you're going to sell your clothes make sure it's basically brand new . They won't take clothing that have been worn a few times . The worker was really really sweet about it but basically told my 14 yr old daughter that her clothes were over worn and they won't be able to take them and give her any money for them but her clothes can be donated if she wanted. read more

Don't sell your clothes here. Sold my clothes here for some quick cash (also a terrible experience). Left the store with $30 in cash and no receipt. When I call to confirm my total on my receipt 30 MINUTES LATER, an employee named Shack told me he was not able to find the record of my transaction... from 30 minutes ago... Shack also COULD NOT problem solve with me. "I'm just an employee" is not an excuse to deflect my question and hope I just drop the problem. Do better in training your employees to work with customers instead of just taking down a name and phone number. read more

Sold here a couple times since my last review and have had a decent experience. To be honest, you will not get much money for your items, so my main tip is to sell things you're okay with letting go, stuff you don't really care to get only several dollars or slightly more so. Of course you can get more money if you are able to sell on sites like Depop or Poshmark. But I think if you go in with clear expectations, it's not so disappointing. They also do let you know how much you will earn. You can get a decent amount in store credit if that's what you prefer. I'm not saying I am totally in agreement with the way they conduct business. However, you got to commend the buyers for having to do the awkward, dirty work of having to deal with customers bringing bags of clothing in every day. The workers were courteous to me and other customers from what I've seen. Please cut the workers some slack. They are doing the best they can and try to give people the best deal while following in line with corporate guidelines. read more

Honestly this place is hit or miss when it comes to decent quality pieces. I usually go here for athletic clothes, and that feels like a safe bet here, but most other things are pretty average. I went in today and in specific i brought one bag that i got originally for $80 and never ended up using and i told him that it was brand new with tags and paper, which he saw and looked at. he gave me $8. and he told me he was going to put it for sale for $25 for a huge rhinestoned backpack. $8. are we serious. I had heard of this place so I decided to take some of my clothes and my daughters, sons shoes. When you arrive there is a bar code you have to scan and fill out then when it's your turn they will contact you and see how much your clothes are and let you know on the spot or have you look around then have you come back. We wanted to see how much we would get for our clothes sadly really nothing but $7 for two items. I feel some items could have been worth some more but they stated it's what is in style I guess. Don't know if I'll ever bring clothes here again but I guess it was a good experience checking out this place. So if you are planning on bringing clothes here make sure it's what they are interested in or in style. Otherwise you won't get much for whatever you bring. read more

If I could give this store a zero, I would! That being said, I have been a frequent and loyal shopper for almost 10 years. I've never in my 60 years of living on this earth I've never been treated with such rudeness and disrespect by employees and management. This store is extremely mismanaged and the turnover is high. My father and I went there yesterday to shop and the manager Sage told me that my father and I was banned from the store because an employee told her that I use profanity and I was yelling at employees. There's an extremely long line to sell because this employee is talking with customers about her whole life story (irrelevant school education and previous job experience; entirely unprofessional) instead of efficiently selling and pricing items.
