I have been shopping at the Grocery Outlet for over 40 years. The Grocery Outlet is the first store I go to before continuing my shopping

As someone who genuinely enjoys shopping at Grocery Outlet, I was excited to visit this Anaheim location because of its size. From the outside, it looked huge, and I expected to find the unique products, hidden gems, and specialty items that usually make Grocery Outlet such a fun shopping experience. Unfortunately, I left disappointed. One of the things I love most about Grocery Outlet is discovering products and brands that aren't typically found in traditional grocery stores. However, this location felt more like a standard supermarket. The majority of the inventory consisted of common national brands that can be found at almost any grocery chain, rather than the unique, rotating selection that Grocery Outlet is known for. I was also surprised by the limited selection of organic, gluten-free, specialty, and health-focused products. In my experience, Grocery Outlet usually offers a wide variety of these items at great prices, which is a big part of why I shop there. This location seemed heavily stocked with mainstream products instead. The reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is that I did find a couple of discounted items that I regularly purchase, so there was still some value in the trip. Overall, I hope the owners or management consider expanding the selection to include more unique products, smaller brands, and healthier specialty options. Grocery Outlet has built a reputation around offering unexpected finds and great deals, and this location didn't quite deliver that experience for me. read more

I love the grocery outlet. Some would call me their number one fan. I'm the one that'll drive 40 minutes out of the way just to go to a new GO location. This store is one that I markedly avoid because it is just disappointing. It's the closest one to me but I drive further away for another one that I like instead. I came here recently because it's been a long time and I was willing to give it another shot. The store was cleaner than I remembered. The spot has such potential- big parking lot and a big store space! The inventory is very lame, though. It has the weakest NOSH section of any GO I've ever been to. Walking around, I saw at least 5 items that were expired by more than a week just casually sitting on the shelves. In the refrigerated section there were two smoothies looking like they were about to mold over because they're expired almost a week. That's just so nasty! I would love to see this place spruce up. Whomever is in charge of checking dates on stuff- up your game! And order more healthy options if you could. GO is just unbeatable when it has that inventory that you find elsewhere for twice the price. I want to support this location and believe the best, but it will probably be a while til I'm back again. read more

You can tell he genuinely care about both the staff and the customers. He was professional, friendly, and quick to step in when I had a question. It's rare to see someone so hands-on and attentive these days -- they made sure my concerns were addressed right away and followed through until everything was resolved. It's clear that Jorge takes pride in their work and truly values good customer service. Honestly, if more places had someone like him running the show Highly recommend asking for jorge if you want great service! BAD HYGIENE! During the 8pm hour on 3/25/25, the cashier raised his shirt and scratched his bare lower abdomen--very close to the "bikini line"--then lowered his shirt and continued ringing up customers' groceries! Didn't even use hand sanitizer or wipes after scratching himself! read more

This store has become my go-to for groceries on my way home from work. The prices are right, the store is clean and well-organized, and the staff are friendly and professional. I recently found a minor issue with a tomato and brought it up to the associate in produce - he stopped what he was doing and picked up and inspected every single tomato on the shelf, just to be safe. That is above-and-beyond what I would expect from a grocery store employee who has plenty of other work to do, but I was very glad to see it. Also, you can't beat those deals on frozen foods, steak, and wine. As long as I'm in the area, this will be my main grocery store. read more

More choices than Trader Joes! I've been going here forever and its worth it. My favorites are the vegan choices, cheeses, and surprise new products that come in all the time. My friend swears by the wine choices. Believe me, its worth it! read more

No more 10% off for seniors is a real bummer. Also seems like the other stores have better products at great prices. I often see the same stuff at this store but I like the selection better at other stores even though this is a huge store. read more

Disappointed that this Grocery Outlet stopped their Senior Citizens Discount Day on Tuesday. Previously they offered 10% off the total bill up to $50.00 in shopping. Without the discount it is not worth the time to come shopping here. The shopping center is blighted, and the grocery carts are always filthy. Unless an item is on clearance their everyday prices are too high and not enough variety to complete my weekly shopping at this store. I find better deals at WINCO, Walmart Neighborhood Grocery and Food4Less. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. I have NEVER in my life been talked to by an employee like we were in an alley in the streets. There was a discrepancy regarding an item I purchased. I went to the cashier that rang me up to let him know i was overcharged for an item i purchased. His response was if that's what it rang up, then that's the price. Apparently the items were stocked underneath the wrong label. When i asked him to honor the price that the item was shelved under. He said he couldn't l went to the manager Brenda,I have seen her plenty times before this night. I explained to her the situation. She said they didn't have to honor the price the item was shelved under. I was already frustrated,I've never had a problem or given backlash from any other store that obviously one of their employees stocked the shelf wrong. There was frustration along with irritation in my approach at this point. She looked at me and told me that if i was going to give her an attitude she would not help me because she didn't have to!!!!! First,i wasnt intentionally being rude or giving her attitude. I was frustrated. I told her that have i never been spoken to like that from a "manager" at any retail store. I asked for the corporate phone number,she said they don't have one. They're a franchise. That was a lie. I googled it when I got home. I asked for the manager above her name. She spewed out his first and last name gave me her first and last name and taunted me to call him tomorrow,tell him whatever I wanted because she was going to tell him i was rude first. I told her that she shouldn't be speaking to me like that since she is the"night manager" She said she was going to talk to me exactly how i was talking to her. That if I wanted the difference for the over charge then I shouldn't be rude because she didn't have to do it if she didn't want to. I had my phone out facing her,she asked me if I was recording her. I replied no. She told me to show her my phone,I replied no. She just kept repeating that she didn't have to do anything for me since that wasn't their policy. I was literally in shock. She was very unprofessional and aggressive in her tone and mannerism.She has no business being in a customer service position the way she was talking to me as a "night manager" Even if i was rude in her opinion. She is representing that store and now I will not go back there. Especially now that I know their employees can stock the shelves wrong and still expect the customer to pay a different price.I will be reaching out to corporate to let them know the kind of customer service this store is giving to a paying customer. read more

Grocery Outlet - That kinda day. - Grocery Near Me - Anaheim, California

I do most of my grocery shopping at Grocery Outlets. This particular franchised store is one of my new favorites because it is centrally-located between my carious job-sites in Orange County. I buy my lunch here most days instead of eating out at a restaurant. The store is clean, well-staffed (there were 2 checkstands open, plus floor staff organizing items on shelves and in the refrigerated sections). Price-wise, there were good deals on everything. Plus, some markdowns on salad ingedients and they even offer senior discounts on Tuesdays and Thursdays. read more

Very Rude. My husband asked for the restroom. The staff (a black guy) didn't provide it and yelled at him in front of people. He also threatened my husband that he will call the police. Don't ask anyone there. You will not be helped but being threatened and humiliated in front of people. They don't like their job. read more

Such an interesting place if your looking for things your not really looking for. I guess this place would be if Smart and Final married the .99 only store and had a ton of babies. All their offsprings live here. I know your thinking, what type of misfit soon to expire items are here? None. They are completely legit and your wallet will thank you. Normally shop here if I need a couple of items and want to get in and leave ASAP. This place has a lot of interesting items, including a variety of brands. Anything from frozen items, shelf items, dairy products, household items, gardening stuff, ECT. Tons of snacks at incredible prices. My favorites are those honey mustard pretzel bites, a huge bag is only $4.99. I also buy the huge container of toffee peanuts. You kind of have to look around to see all the deals. Service here is always friendly. Especially Ana. She is super nice. The lines are never long, unlike your typical grocery store. Prices are cheap. Best place to buy eggs, frozen food and chips. They have a dozen Eggland's Best for only $2 today! Most of the time it's still a good prize at $3 which is much better than Ralph, Vons, Albertsons, and Food 4 Less. Their cold beverage section like Almond Milk and Soy Milk are usually around $1-$2. I've been eating much healthier once I started shopping here. What a great little store! read more

Was nearby and needed groceries so decided to stop by as I normally shop at the Long Beach locations near home. Store was clean, cashier was efficient and friendly. Not in the best of areas as it is located next to a sketchy strip mall, but nonetheless that wouldn't deter me from going back. read more

This review only applies to the store on Knott and Lincoln in Anaheim. The store opened about three years ago and was run and owned by a nice family. As regulars, the main owner would come out and greet us and have a talk. The checkers were competent and friendly. A few months ago, the store was sold to new owners. The music got loud, regular items disappeared, and most of the good checkers got upset and quit. Now the lines are long as every few days they're trying to train someone while on the job. The result is a mess. If you used to shop here but haven't been there lately, BEWARE! If you've never been there, I suggest that you don't. read more

Good store and all, but... the parking lot at times looks like a large homeless encampment and security rarely does anything about it. Sure they clear out every few days. But seems like there are always several transients setting up camp in the lot read more

It's not worth shopping here when you're mistreated and given horribly rude and disrespectful and demeaning attitudes from the employees. There's Superior Gonzalez grocery store and Walmart and Aldi, Albertsons, Stater brothers and Ralph's to go shop at to get much more respect and treatment and the prices, Most of the time are equal or better. I can tell you even at the $.99 store you would get far better of an experience shopping with greater prices than here at this Grocery Outlet in Anaheim. If you want to go to a store where it is absolutely unprofessional and with a personally dehumanizing experience. Please shop here and spend you hard earned money at this store. read more

Well, I USED to love this Store until it got new owners. It has lost ALL all of it's home town feel. Now With the new owners it's just another overpriced Discount store who do not have or allow any use of their bathrooms. There employee today rudely informed that the new owners said no bathroom use from this point forward. They went so far as to add large doors covering the hallway access to the bathrooms. Really???? I come to shop and I am usually there over an hour just strolling the isles and picking up great deals. I just don't get it and it saddens me to lose a place where I felt welcomed. I went today planning on shopping for at least an hour, but when I got there I first asked to use the bathroom and of course was told what it says above. That literally left me no other choice but to just leave and go home. Their rude employee did tell me that I could go next-door to the $.99 store and use theirs. What on earth does that make any sense? I do wonder is that even legal for a store of this size to not offer bathrooms? The people working the register are nice, but everyone else is not very helpful or polite. There was a blonde woman with a ponytail that was super rude when a customer asked her for help to find an item. She basically turned her back and walked away mid question. Very Rude!!
