Bargains and friendly cashiers! This location is not my neighborhood GO but sometimes when I am in this area, I bring my ice packed coolers and shop here. This isn't a supermarket--they are an independent grocer that sells bargain closeouts. Shopping here requires checking every expiration date. My favorite section is personal care from shampoo, lotion, liquid hand soaps, face wash, beauty related products like cotton rounds, and more. Great prices! In the frozen section, there is a good selection of plant based items that are very affordable. They also have a seasonal section. Currently they have Christmas decor. In months back, they had fall decor. They have odds and ends kind of things like a sports team blanket. This GO is a lot better than the one in my neighborhood. When I remember to bring my ice packed cooler, I will stop by this Norwalk location.

Out of all the supermarkets I go to this one is my favorite! I feel like they have organic food and the prices are much better than an actual supermarket! They do have certain items that other markets don't have and those make me happy! A lot of the items they have are items Whole Foods has! Except the prices are either half price or even less! The find that I found was the Artisana Organics cashew Cacao spread! It taste like a healthy Nutella!

This is the quality of the produce if a quality produce lead isn't there to run the department up instead of down, but he left.

The only thing good about this place is the old owner that made it great, not family oriented, not willing to be there for there customers, allot of stuff is expired an not managed well to keep up with the dates, more stuff is thrown away than sold, the customer service was great when they had the best produce lead they'll be able to find. There's a difference between quality and t!hs, it you want to be a quality owner you'll be there for your employees and customers no excuses because in order to be a yt!hs person you dishonor the store an you customers! Being true to your craft really shows here. Hope they find a real owner soon because both owners especially the one who's never there unless to terminate someone has allot to learn from her wife. Or not! The ambiance is lack of a better word, not there for diddly squat. If it wasn't true this rating would be even more true.

It was very convenient for me because I was taking the 605 freeway, and this Superior Grocers is literally right off the freeway on the northwest corner of Rosecrans and Studebaker. To get back on the freeway was just as hassle-free. Superior Grocers will offer some red tag specials every weekend, but these sale prices would only be valid during that weekend, basically days that start with the letter 'S'. The last weekend of May, Superior Grocers had a sale on Navel Oranges at 2 lbs for $1. I didn't have much fruit left at home, so I wanted to stop by and restock my supply of oranges. This is one of the newest, yet smaller, Superior Grocers around town. I usually go to the Bellflower location, which is smaller than the two in Long Beach and the one in Buena Park. However, this Superior Grocers did one better (or smaller, in this case lol) with a location that I'd estimate is about 60% to 70% the size of the Bellflower location. And with a smaller location comes narrower aisles, as you might imagine. I came on a Sunday at about 11 AM, and the store wasn't even that busy. However, I still had a hard time maneuvering a cart through the produce section with how thin the passageways were. The oranges here were much better quality than the oranges I've recently gotten at a different store. WIth navel oranges, you're either going to get small ones with a thinner skin, or significantly larger ones with thicker skin that look shriveled up. Some of the oranges I saw did have that kind of dried up rind, but nowhere near as close to what I've seen elsewhere. After grabbing some oranges, I was about to put the produce bags on the baby seat of the cart until I realized there was no flap for the baby to sit on! Of all the times I've gone shopping, this is the first time when I've actually seen no flap on the cart, which would mean anything you store in the baby seat could easily fall out. Imagine storing some glass bottles there, and they shattered on the floor as you were making your way to the checkout stand; if there were a you break it, you buy it rule, that would be a pretty unfair way to get hosed right there. Since I wasn't carrying anywhere close to a full cart, I simply placed the oranges in the much larger compartment of the cart. They only have about five checkstands at the front of the store, and only two cashiers were working at the time of my visit. Luckily, neither line was too long, though I can see much longer lines happening here, especially during peak hours. Jessenia was the cashier who rang me up, and there were no issues with payment or her customer service. I came in through the east entrance, but didn't notice there was an entrance on the north side of the building until after I paid for the oranges. It makes sense, however, because the east lot isn't as spacious, especially in comparison to other Superior Grocers locations. If that lot is full, there are more spots by the north entrance and even more towards the west. Unfortunately, there were no shopping cart returns in the east lot, so even upon my arrival, I noticed shopping carts scattered about the parking lot. I know the lot is small and all, but having at least one parking spot designated for a shopping cart return could save the other parking spots from being occupied by unattended carts. Overall, not too bad of an experience here at this Superior Grocers, which opened about 4 years ago in the City of Norwalk. The Bellflower location is only about 4 miles away, so if there's something you can't find at this Norwalk store, you may have better luck in Bellflower. And if you're still out of luck, the Long Beach location on Cherry is, guess what, another 4 miles away! lol

They're interested in talking and socializing. And now it's going to cost them. Now it's too late. The community deserves better I just had a baffling experience where I came late tonight to look for a beef tallow and none of your employees knew what it was so I had to ask three people I finally found someone the grocery section which was prominently advertised at 11:99 on sale from 1499 and there was two left I decided to buy two of them and they both rang up at 1499 and so when I told the rude blonde lady that it was on sale she walked me back to the butcher section and I have attached the image where it says 1199 but she said it was her policy to only discount one of them if there was a mismatch but there's no mismatch because it was just a failure to update the thing anyway they were completely rude management was rude the security guard was rude everybody was super ab absolutely totally unnecessarily rude as well as incompetent I cannot believe you met people like this have jobs at your store it's bringing the entire neighborhood down I was completely reasonable and nice and polite and was not given the opportunity to buy some stupid goddamn beef tallow because everybody was busy having private conversations and figuring out where they wanted to go instead of doing their jobs and running a grocery store. Completely unacceptable and please let everybody know that if they don't want to be at work there are other people who require happy to have jobs in this economy. Not OK. Not cool.
