Your typical neighborhood grocery store . The big difference is that it's target customer is the Latin community that live in the area. They have good variety of fresh produce with some hard to find items readily available. The cashiers are extremely nice and they are very pleasant when checking you out. While they do have a meat dept they don't do custom cuts and don't have much of a selection only their best selling items . Hot food area is good you can get a combo meal for around 5 bucks . They have a variety of Mexican and American food so you can switch it out. The bakery section is pretty good with daily hot bread and sweet bread . They do have custom cakes but nothing to elaborate . Overall good grocery store. read more

I am sharing my bad experience on 5/25/22 I went in to the super A market , my family and I usually shop there for our family cooking ,event cakes , and meats , how ever this time I purchased some bolillo, as I am chewing my bolillo I bit into something hard, sharp that made my teeth hurt , I was confused , and instantly took it out , to my surprise it was this large piece of metal that was baked in the bread . I got so scared, but thankful I didn't swallow it , please be aware of your food and careful when we are feeding our kids . This is predominantly a Latin market. I don't mind it one bit ! Sure they have weird random stuff like clothing inside of it. Who knows when you're going to need a raider shirt. Who am I to judge. Nothing like going to the grocery store and they might actually have everything you need ! Maybe you spill coffee on your shirt , and your far from home . Boom raider shit right there. I placed an order for a 3 leches birthday cake "custom made" all I wanted was a regular cake just the frosting color green. The order was placed one day in advance and I personally spoke with the bakery counter as it was my first time ordering from them. I even asked if a day was enough time to place a birthday cake order, I placed the order at 12pm, and she said it was more than enough time considering I would pick it up at 4pm the next day. I come in and the bakery women is looking for it and says they did in fact NOT MAKE IT. I don't know why they didn't make it when I spoke with someone personally and got the O.K. to place the order, there was more than enough time to make it. There was no point in arguing, what was done was done I didn't get my cake from Super A foods and was given a refund rightfully so. It was a shame to give an already struggling market a chance to make a cake that was already paid for but unfortunately was met with dissapointment, they dont seem to care enough to organize their orders for paying customers. read more

a minute ago I always get a digiorno 4 cheese pizza to eat from there. I'll have it at least once every two weeks. I bought one today and when I took it out of the package it was soggy and not even frozen I went back to complain before I got anything out even a word the cashier pointed to the sign that said all sales are final....like cmon I live across the street and shop there regularly I'm so disappointed how I was treated and definitly will use my car and go to food for less instead from now on. UNPROFESSIONAL worker named JACKIE seen YELLING at the top of her lungs in front of the building. How unprofessional! I wish I was able to get a photo to capture how embarrassing that is for not only her but the establishment. I come here quite often either alone or with my family. Each time I have seen this woman YELLING and SCREAMING at employees across the store on MULTIPLE occasions. I believe that establishments such as these should be family friendly and workers should be aware of their actions and how it is effecting the atmosphere. JACKIE DOES NOT convey this. I am not saying all employees and workers here are bad as some are quite kind and have wonderful energy! In contrary circumstances, in the multiple occasions I have been in this store, I have seen JUST JACKIE with such uncontrollable and unprofessional behavior. As someone who is close to people in the industry I see this behavior as a MAJOR RED FLAG! This behavior needs to be corrected as you are giving ANXIETY AND UNEASINESS to the children, customers, and employees! I'm new to the city of paramount and decided to check out this new store close to home. I've visited a few times at different hours of the day. The store is very spacious and clean. The produce department was very nice. Unfortunately the workers are extremely unprofessional. I was checked out by a young lady with grey silver hair and hello kitty pins on her uniform. At first she greeted me but during my whole checkout experience she just kept talking about her personal life with a young man who's face was completely covered. He did not acknowledge or greet me. Ok I have to confess, I really only come here all masked up to see if they have Clorox wipes or Lysol Spray. Sometimes they have it at the register with the hand sanitizer. I understand they only let you buy 1 of each during the pandemic. The place is clean. The staff don't really make eye contact if they don't have to. My positive experience for this store is the pleasant attitude of thier security guard, he always says good morning with a smile and acknowledges with a head tilt on my way out. I deducted a star for the higher food prices compared to other Latin stores like El Super. The beans were 99 cent a pound, kinda high. read more

Your clean isles, helpful crew, and good merchandise is the difference for me to seek your store over any other, even those closer to where I might be during the day. This morning was a morning to rave about. I asked Griselda this one question. Of the various sweet breads I was looking at, which ones are named, "Conchitas"? She showed me but as she looked at the display, she said to me that I certainly could take from the inventory that was left or I could get some freshly baked ones that were just a little bit smaller. She showed me the smaller ones and I quickly chose what she had just baked. That is good customer service as I remember it from when I was working for a large company with many large customers. All customers are important. Griselda chooses to share her grace and caring for the customers, as she did with me this morning . Super A Foods is an excellent option for those looking to shop at grocery store without the madness and the feel of a major grocery store (Vons, Wal-Mart, Target, etc.). This location is clean, the employees are friendly and everything is fairly easy to find. At times they will have deals that put other grocery stores to shame. There is plenty of available parking and it is steps away from the 105. If you live close by, you will get a flyer in the mail with weekly specials. If not, they will have flyers in the store while supplies last. On the weekends they will occasionally sell tacos outside. Not as crowded and hectic as some other stores. They stay open daily from 7am to 11pm which is rare for a small company. Great for those in the area as well as passers by. This place is great, I grew up coming here with my parents and this place has came a long way then how it use to be. Workers here are very nice, store is always clean and they always have specials on items all the time. It gets really really busy about 2 hours before the store closes, weekends and holidays. The rest of the time it is calm but with people shopping for their groceries all the time. This place is great to shop, no huge lines or problems with the workers or the people. Two nights ago I decided it would be sandwiches for dinner so I planned to stop by the neighborhood grocery store for some items. I've always frequented the meat counter because everything has been fresh and affordable. This night it wasn't the meat that turned me off it was Olivia, the attendant behind the counter. She came from behind a swinging door pushing a cart with different meats. She asked if I had been helped. I point to the deli meats. She asked what I wanted, rubbed her hands on her apron and grabbed the ham With those same u washed bare hands!!! In this covid world why would u do that?!? I asked her what she was doing she was completely oblivious, she proceeded to shave the meat asking how much. I said you're not going to wash your hands or put on gloves. She said my hands are clean and then she showed me how she handled the meat by it's packaging. I was like are you really going to challenge me, the customer, about hand washing? Bad Milk! I went to buy milk today and they had the ENTIRE section of Altadena milk that was expired by upto a week. Love this super market, closing guys on Saterday night are super friendly and very helpful. I came almost at 5 minutes to closing to buy soda that was on sale but they had run out of all the ones on the floor, even thow it was already closing time the young guy offer to go look for some in the back. Found some made 2 trips and then still helped me to my car and loaded them for me (after 11:00pm)I was so impressed at these young guys excellent customer service that I just want to give them all a big hug!!! Super A Foods is selling expired chicken which is being cooked and heavily seasoned to cover up the awful taste. Several families have recently complained of heavy diarrhea, vomiting, cramping, and have ended up in the hospital due to the food consumed from this establishment. Be careful. read more

The pan dulce at this establishment is dry and inedible. Majority of the products are quite pricey, and there isn't much variety. The market is kept pretty clean. Some of the staff members are quite rude, like Jackie and Victoria. If they can't handle being nice to costumers, then they shouldn't be working at all. read more
