Excellent staff in the deli area. I had two different people help me and they were both super knowledgeable and quick.

I visited Superior Grocers for the first time today and was initially impressed by their deli selection. I bought eight pieces of chicken and two one‑inch‑thick ribeye steaks, but hunger clouded my judgment. The chicken was very dark brown, which I assumed was due to seasoning, but it turned out to be burnt and mostly inedible. I also shouldn't have purchased the steaks -- they felt room temperature in the store, and I had no idea how long they'd been sitting out. When I got home, they smelled clearly rancid. I'll be throwing out the remaining chicken and steaks tomorrow. At this point, a health inspector needs to take a look. I won't be returning. read more

Went in and I have been here before several times . Last time I had an issue that someone told me to move .I am handicap and I was using a handicap space and have my placard and they told me I don't look handicap and I just ignored it since it was a rude customer . I like the area it is in. It is well stocked. Service is pretty good until today. I paid for my groceries and I needed 2 bags my cashier went on a break. So I asked the cashier to the right of me if she can give me a bag . She asked me for my receipt and i gave her my receipt she proceeded to go to the other cashier and show my receipt and yelled it is only 2 items and i told her here is the other receipt and she acted like I had stolen the groceries. I had just paid for never apologizing and just gave me my bags and i had to tell her I need my other receipt. All this extra Drama for 2 bags I already had paid my groceries . Sorry but I will not return any time soon .Never have I been accused of stealing like she implied and her looking so unprofessional for asking for 2 bags. Not my cup of tea. read more

I had never been in here before, even though I'm a lifelong resident. I bought a couple things along with a 12 pack of soda. The soda was supposed to be 5.49 but my receipt said 10.49. I didn't even bother to ask about it. I will never be back. read more

I gave the checker and store a 3 for the following reasons. I am handicap and i went to the front end to get the little cart. The first clerk keep ignoring me, took 3 customers and still would notlook at me or help me. I raised my hand before the 2nd front end manager came to help me. Jessenare let me know the cart was not working. It been broken for over 5 weeks. So, handicap people can not shop this store. Jessenare went into the store before and she did it again this morning and got my groceries. I asked for help out to my car and she gave my groceries to guy to take them to my car but he let me know he was on break. I'm sorry for disturbing him on personal time. If the store is not going to fix the handicap cart, I can not shop the location. It is up to the handicap person if they can navigate the store. No, store is not help on this issue. Would question in you need the products from this store. I would give the store a 2 and for the checkers that ignores handicap people 1 star. I have a walker because I cannot walk or stand for long periods of time. read more

I've only been to one other Superior (Cherry and Market) but I was impressed with this one. It replaced the nasty smelly market that used to be here and it looks like they really tried to make it look nice. There are wood-colored floors in the produce section and natural food bulk bins. I even taught some customers how to grind their own fresh peanut butter here for less than $2 per pound. It wasn't as crowded and the lines weren't as long as the other Superior. And the cashier was actually friendly! I think this location is trying to compete with Winco nearby and a bit of competition is healthy! Lots of parking, in lot shared with McDonalds. read more

I went in on a Saturday morning to do some casual grocery shopping. Pros: *LARGE PARKING LOT. Maybe it was because of the time I went in on the weekend but there was plenty of parking spaces. *HAS BAKERY SECTION. Not too many grocery stores have fresh bakery sections so I think this deserves credit. I myself have not tried any of their baked goods because I was not interested in them at the time of shopping. (I have mixed feelings with other yelpers commenting about their baked goods.) *SUPER CHEAP! I would like to believe that most imported products are harvested from the same location. (I could be wrong though.) For example, if grocery store #1 is selling a tomato that was imported from location A; Superior Grocers is probably selling the same tomato type from the same harvested location for much less. Save money, buy here. Cons: *A BIT MESSY/UNORGANIZED. *LIMITED CUSTOMER SERVICE AVAILABILITY. Terrible service!!! They have boneless chicken legs on sale today - bought some , drove home and opened the package- it smelled terrible, obviously rotten. I went back to the store and asked for the store manager , I wanted to inform him that their chicken was rotten and it should be more than concerning to them as people are purchasing and taking this home to their families. The Store Manager Eddie Serrano did not even apologize , he said "okay do you want to return it?" ....I'm thinking " WOW" not even an apology and i had to get back in line to make my exchange!!!! I don't know why I keep coming back to Superior..maybe because it's so close to me. But won't be going back anymore, or at least not for meat produce. The meat products at the meat counter are a hit or miss. I grab some meat or chicken, get home only to find that it's bad. It's happened to me more than once. Well it is a big inprovement over what was here it is clean and there is no smell . that said sort of a let down all other Superior stores I have ben in are much nicer. This is a very small store .and the turn around was quick so I guess that is why it is a bit bland. prices are ok . Eduardo! My family and I will never forget your kindness This guy has a heart of gold. Last night we went and got some groceries and little did we know we were really short by like $20.62. Times are tough right now for me and my bf with our 4 year old son. I've been stressing out to the point of forgetting that we just spent our money on gas and mcd fries for our son. We were short and we asked Eduardo to cancel a few items on the list. There was a lot of people waiting behind us it was really ambarassing but Eduardo reached into his pocket and grabbed his wallet. HORRIBLE me and my daughters were shopping there and they accused my daughter of stealing a lost phone just because she was in the meat department for too long. They hadn't even checked the cameras before accusing my daughter they just automatically thought it was her since she was there we will no longer be shopping there! and I will follow up with upper management because of how embarrassed they left my daughter she didn't even have the phone and she emptied out her bag to prove it to them. Big improvement over what was here before. It's cleaner, more organized with the previous market the vegetables and some of the juices were close to the expiration date and some were expired. I had to give it one star otherwise I would have not. This place has terrible customer service! The cashiers weren't trained or trained by the wrong people. I notice the younger the staff are the more rude or unconcerned with being nice and wanting return visits. I've tried going here more than I should have and getting the cases water on that were on sale. I asked for help out and they cashier didn't even call anyone for a few minutes and when I enquired about it she pointed to someone who was at a cashier line and he didn't even know he would help me. And the young gentlemen that helped me with putting them in my vehicle were more gracious than the cashiers there. I'd rather go to the one further away on Cherry Avenue, than this one is less than a mile away from my house.
