    Waaaay expired sausage!!!
    Diahn M.

This is the last time going to this location. I was there on Seotember 26th, bought Italian Sausage. My faukt that I was in a rush and didn't "babysit" them by checking the date code like I normally do. Came home, put it in the freezer. I just now took it out to cook up with spaghetti and the date is September 4th!!!!! I have found many items there in tgmhe past expired, but I stupidly keep goibg back because they're convenient to my home. Never again!!!!!!!

Grand Opening Free reusable bag w/ purchase https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/grocery-outlet-bargain-market-long-beach-4?select=yWM7hyA0TrHQyW9ERJFMGA I'm a big fan & frequent shopper of the Lakewood Grocery Outlet. When I saw there would be a Grand Opening close by in Long Beach, I knew I had to go. Pondering whether I should line up and be amongst the first 50 or so to receive Grocery Outlet bucks, I decided not to as I assumed there would be a massive crowd and I didn't want to deal with the stress. However, I did swing by later on in the day to receive a free reusable bag, and to checkout the various specially priced merchandise. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/grocery-outlet-bargain-market-long-beach-4?select=iNodXsOyg5vOpSIGWaj0IQ Bigger & cleaner & friendlier than the Lakewood location, my eyes spied a bunch of steals I had to take home. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/grocery-outlet-bargain-market-long-beach-4?select=ExBgBOUktDNP0C_5mfDIwg Even though the masses came for the Grand Opening, the lines efficiently flowed in an organized fashion. The young woman working the register made sure to put on the charm on the first day, and I felt welcome & appreciated. Parking is via a private lot, shared with Huff's and other businesses. Grocery Outlet Bargain Market never fails to provide savings for yours truly. I took home 3 jars of Epic duck fat & several packages of smoked salmon, among others. Unfortunately, this location is further than the Lakewood location, which means I won't be a recurring customer. But, for those who live locally, this Grocery Outlet Bargain Market is a wonderful addition to the community, providing excellent customer service and low prices on consumables. Highly recommend!

Never been here before and was excited to come. This store or outlet reminds me of Aldi. Was just ok, prices are slightly cheaper. The meat section was small and I didn't really see a difference in prices. The ones I did of-course the portions were smaller. I live closer to ralphs so from my experience I don't think I would be back. I didn't find anything that would bring me back here unfortunately.

    Exterior remember your reusable bags!!

We are in the midst of the Covid19 situation. On March 13, Los Angeles County was declared a NO School, NO non essential work zone. Most of the world is now affected and under self quarantine or lockdown. Which led to many families forced to stock up on food supplies hence a panic buying type of situation. So this was my third stop for groceries since two other major stores I went to had EMPTY shelves of meat, breads, eggs, and paper towels or toilet paper. First off, I was EXTREMELY grateful that there was a lot of fresh produce: Asparagus spears(Product of Mexico) (2 for $3), bagged green beans, cabbage, fresh fruit (got bananas) , most of which was labeled organic. A very calm lady was rationing out water (2 gallons per customer) and a three pack roll of bamboo fiber paper towels ($4.99). I commended her later for being calm in what was otherwise a frenzy of people grabbing what they could. We do need more people like her. Also lots of granola, packaged nuts, jerky, quick bite types of food. Bought yogurt, salsa to go with a giant bag of tortilla chips. Four boxes of frozen pizza (Product of Italy). Also found Vicks - lemon scented no less! I was shopping like I was going camping for an extended period of time. I sincerely hope everyone out there is staying safe, observing social distancing (I was consciously doing it - one cart in front to the next person is the recommended safe distance, and there was no crowd in the store itself). This might be the last Yelp post for a while since dine in restaurants, bars, fitness centers are also mandated for closure. If your favorite restaurant is still doing take out, please patronize them.

Went shopping 12/28/19 item expired 12/18/19 but still for sale

Came in with babygirl yesterday to get a few things for today's dinner…read more We went to get some produce and the gentlemen that was restocking the produce just kept staring at me like a pervert. It made me so uncomfortable, I grabbed my daughter to rush to get the produce we needed. I was on the phone telling my husband loudly for this idiot to hear how he was being a pervert and he did not seem to care. This is not my regular Food 4 Less, but I was in a hurry as we had just left Sam's Club that was down the street. I did not have time to complain as we had to do another stop, but I will be calling the store. No one should go out especially a mother and daughter and ever feel like that. It made the visit so uncomfortable, I will not be returning to this store. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because the store was clean and my cashier was so nice. Other than that, I will not be returning nor putting myself through this uncomfortable situation again.

Note: As you enter the store, there is usually a heavily armed security guard dressed all in black…read more The store itself is big and clean for the most part. The cashiers can be a hit or a miss. The store seems a bit understaffed I would say, because I rarely see workers restocking shelves. Homeless is rampant in the parking lot and in front of the store, so just be aware. Let me start by saying shopping etiquette does not exist at this Food 4 Less. Customers have no situational awareness and no sense of time and space when they shop here. People often park their carts in the middle of the aisle while they go look at something on the opposite shelf. And they literally do not have the courtesy to move their carts out of the way for you, even though they clearly see you trying to come down the aisle. Not only that, but I often see full shopping carts left unattended in the middle of aisles. The customer who originally left their cart there is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, their shopping cart is just sitting there blocking a good part of the walkway. Might I also add that these shopping carts are huge, bulky, heavy and some times hard to maneuver; they are not the small CVS or Walgreens type of shopping carts. Besides all that, I have also witnessed people not putting back unwanted items where they belong, especially items that are perishable such as meat. It is wild. As for the parking lot, I always see shopping carts just scattered all over the place. They are left on top of dirt, grass, curbs, or in the middle of the roadway. I have seen plenty of people just leave their carts in the middle of a parking spot, when there's a corral less than 3 feet away. I lost count on how many times I have had to get out of my car to move a shopping cart so I can park in a spot. They really need to hire someone to collect the carts. But I'm guessing because this store is located in a predominantly low-income neighborhood, the type of customers who shop there don't really give a s**t....
