What a great gem to find just in time for the upcoming Lunar Year! The Ao Dai's are definitely a step-up from the usual places in Bolsa. Shoutout out for Leanna and Vy for assisting me to find a special one this year from a variety of their selection. The great value is definitely worth your time and effort. Pick a few to try-on (up to 3) and let them know so they will call you when a dressing room is available from a busy crowd at times. See you again next year PC! Thank you Leanna! read more

The Ao Dais here are the most modern and the most trendy ones coming straight from Vietnam! Value : The fabric is so silky & breathable, I wore mine to so many different events and will definitely go back for more in the upcoming years. I have purchased from this store before and have reworn their ao dais on numerous occassions! Definitely great value for a great price! This specific Ao Dai was $60 but for the fabric, it's well worth the cost. No scratchy fabric, no weird creases, only some light steaming needed to straighten out the fabric. Flexibility : The store style is super accomodating and offers in house measurements to get the perfect Ao Dai for your size. Social media presence is strong : I also love that you can find things that you like on their Facebook page, send in your measurements and request to have it saved on the side for pick up. Overall : Great quality supplies, super fast, convenient & friendly service. read more

I visited Precious Closet on a cousin's recommendation while searching for Vietnamese traditional dress (áo dài). Since it was the tail end of Lunar New Year, the selection wasn't as large as usual, but we still found beautiful áo dài that each of us loved. The store had dresses in every color and style--traditional, two-piece silky sets, and options for men and children of all ages. Sizes ranged from S, M, L to XL and 2XL, and everything we saw was great quality. The neckline and stitching were well made, and I loved the flared sleeves--so much more comfortable than the tight ones I'm used to. One thing I really appreciated is that everything is clearly priced, so there's no need to bargain like in many other Asian shops. It makes the whole shopping experience so much easier and more enjoyable. I highly recommend trying things on because every dress fits differently. There are only three fitting rooms, but each one has heels you can borrow to see your full look with the áo dài--such a thoughtful touch. If you can't find your size, definitely ask one of the helpers; they were all incredibly kind, patient, and attentive. The shop itself is small but truly has everything you need. The owner mentioned that the store is open year-round but only sells traditional dresses during the two months leading up to Lunar New Year. After the holiday, it transitions back into everyday clothing. At checkout, they even give you a small gift, and all your items are packaged neatly in a cute reusable bag--another detail that made the experience feel special. I can't wait to come back in December to get first pick of styles and sizes. Have fun shopping--and Chúc Mừng Năm Mới! read more

Super cute small dress shop selling Ao Dai with great friendly workers! My husband and I visited this store over the weekend to pick up some ao dais for Lunar New Years. When we got there around 11am, it was already pretty full of people. Since the store is pretty small, everyone was jam packed in there, so looking through the racks can be pretty difficult. There are only three dressing rooms, but the staff has a pretty solid system to get you into one. The dress options here have a more modern design and style to them. I'd also say they're pretty size inclusive with sizes from small to 3xl! The dresses are also more loose fit, so even a small felt more like a med/large. Altogether, we got 2 womens ao dai with pants for $100 and 2 men's ao dai for $100. Really neat spot, and would def recommend them! If you're not into crowds and small spaces, I'd recommend going on a weekday when it's likely to be less crowded! read more

came here last minute to get a new ao dai but there wasn't that much of a selection which is understandable. there on multiple racks which were organized and clean. it's a small spot with limited space. i came on a friday and it was very crowded so i waited around 15 minutes for a room to be open to try on clothes. service was friendly. the prices are reasonable. since i didn't buy any ao dai i was interested in, i just bought pants for $22. i would definitely come back again ahead of time! read more

New long term customer here! I stumbled upon their Facebook page and enjoyed their live stream. (Live stream was in Vietnamese so sorry to anyone who doesn't understand) I was able to pick up a few items to start off with and went in store to pick up! I am excited to find such a curated store that offers fashionable clothes from Asia located right there in Garden Grove. Pricing is also very fair. Fair enough to where you can still look cute and have money left over. Customer service was very attentive and friendly. Communication was also smooth. They also offer many payment options such as Venmo, Zelle. Sizing is a little intimidating as clothing from Asia is generally smaller or one sized. I am still working my way around to finding actual clothes here in future. I hope they offer more big sizes so that more average and larger size girlies can shop here too. Excited to follow and shop for more! read more

It is the 3rd day of Tết and it has been raining all morning so I wasn't sure if I would make it over to Precious Closet for áo dài VN. As soon as the sun came out, I drove straight over and took a look around. I didn't arrive with much confidence because I didn't think anything would fit my postpartum body. IYKYK Everywhere I went in Phuoc Loc Tho I couldn't find my size but as soon as I stepped into Precious Closet, the ladies were so incredibly sweet! I didn't feel the sting of judgement from any aunties. The staff is youthful and so kind. Basically, I found my áo dài in less than 10 minutes that's how happy I was with their assistance! Next year I shall return and buy matching áo dài for me and my daughter read more

I went there to buy an ao dai, and although it was busy (which I understand since tet is coming up), I found the service very unprofessional. I handed them three ao dai to try on, but they kept skipping my name and helping other customers first. This happened three times. Each time I asked, they told me I was next, but then they skipped me again. It felt like they were only prioritizing their Asian clientele. As a Hispanic brown woman, I've never felt so unwelcome in a store before. I ended up going to a different shop near the plaza and received completely different, much better treatment. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend wasting your time here. read more

First time shopping here after a friend's recommendation The store was super busy, but the staff were really kind and patient and tried their best to help everyone fairly. The fitting process takes a little time since they help with measuring and finding which size fits best, especially because their áo dài sizing varies. Even with so many customers, the employees always checked in to make sure I was helped and taken care of, and I never felt ignored or rushed. I was impressed with the variety -- they have bigger sizes, maternity options, and even áo dài for men, so it actually works for the whole family. You can tell the team works hard to accommodate everyone and really listens to customer requests for different fitting styles, even during the holiday rush. Overall, I'm really happy with my visit and I'll definitely be coming back. Would recommend checking them out. read more

Probably one of the best boutiques I've ever visited in Orange County and it's perfect for people with a more petite frame and looking for styles that are more tailored towards Asian fashion trends. They have the best value and the cutest clothes with a lot of dresses and sets. Keep in mind that a lot of the pieces have limited sizing because they are imported from Asia. read more

I was looking for a last minute ao dai for a party and my sister recommended coming to Precious Closet after seeing that they offer more than your traditional ao dai designs. I decided to go out of my way and come here after work because I really didn't want to go into the Bolsa area haha. They're in a small plaza near the Mokkoji in GG. I came when they were closing and had no idea as their hours on yelp stated they were open for a few more hours. Regardless, everyone was so sweet. They measured me twice because they didn't want me to make the mistake of purchasing the jncorrect size. They let me stay and frantically shop as I felt bad once I found out they were closed. I wanted to give a huge shout out to the owner. I didn't catch her name unfortunately, but she is amazing. Even though fitting rooms were closed she let me try on a top because I wasn't convinced that it wouldn't fit (she was right, I didn't fit LOL). She told me about her 7 year design and business journey and her passion to bring new designs to consumers. They don't try to upsell or push you here and I feel like the prices are fair. They're only open for lunar new year (tet) and start selling five weeks prior so come early! They also accept custom orders/special requests so you can reach out if you need something else. read more

I heard of this place through a couple friends and loved their designs online. I was scrambling for a place that might still be open and have available, cute ao dais and luckily Precious Closet was open! Most ao dai places are hard to find, tucked away in a mall with horrible traffic and terrible parking, but Precious Closet was super easy to locate and had plenty of parking. I've been ao dai shopping before and as a muscular woman, it is often so difficult to find styles that look good and fit. This is where Precious Closet surprised me because I could easily tell from the moment I walked in that there were styles and sizes of such variety that plenty of different body types could find something that not only fits but accentuates their features. I don't know what kind of magic was on their racks but I picked 3 pieces that caught my attention immediately and were somehow PERFECTLY my size. When I tried them on, I was blown away by how they fit. I'm a big shouldered girl with a muscular build and I was worried that I would rip their dresses because Vietnamese sizing is very small. Instead, I found several pieces that accentuated my shoulders, fit my body and made me feel beautiful. The staff was overwhelmingly, nice and helpful even though my Vietnamese is not great. They helped me find everything I needed and even helped me try on my ao dai and gave helpful feedback about whether I should alter them or what combo pants I can try. The owner rung me up (THE DRESSES ARE SO UNBELIEVABLY AFFORDABLE) and shared with me how she designed these dresses herself and specifically tailored them to include Asian American women because she knows how small Vietnamese sizing can be and how difficult it is for Asian American women to find clothing that fits them. She even mentioned that if you contact her early enough, she can help find the right sizing for you or create pieces with your dimensions in mind so that you have options when you visit the store. After speaking with her it's clear that the owner/designer deeply cares about making people feel beautiful in her designs and including as many body types as she can for the modern Asian American. Sometimes being Asian American feels like being trapped in a time capsule, holding onto tradition out of fear of losing touch with our roots. I feel even more connected to my culture by getting a piece of a more modern Vietnam, a newer look and style from the homeland brought here. I bought all three pieces and I cannot wait to come back for her future designs and I'll definitely be bringing all of my girlfriends here too! read more

I'm so glad I was able to find this shop on Facebook! There's an amazing selection of modern aó dài that is constantly being updated. Be sure to check on facebook for any deals that they might offer. The employees are super helpful and accommodating - they made sure to look for all the sizes and colors that I desired! The shop is a small space and, with its immense popularity, can get overwhelmingly crowded. On some days, they ask customers to take their shoes off before entering the store so be sure to come with socks that have a good grip so you can shop comfortably. Great work, I'll be sure to come back every year. read more

Super cute selection of modern and traditional! Only downside is the sizing, but it's inevitable sadly. I like how they carry other casual items too! I ended up buying two sweaters since I couldn't fit any of the dresses. Each was about $30 and then BOGO 15% off. Really cute designs and good quality! The workers are kind! Most speak Vietnamese, but have a few bilingual workers. Most of their sizes are S-L or one size fits all and pants go up to 72cm / 28 waist I thjnk. It's Asian sizing so I think it would translate to US size 6/8? I'm midsized with wide hips and chest, so I couldn't get the L and XL over them. read more

If you're looking for a modern and cute ao dai for tet coming up, this is the perfect place to shop! I found out about this place on tik tok, and had such a great experience! Since it has gone viral on tik tok, the store does get very crowded with customers, but they make sure to constantly stock up their clothes. I went on a Wednesday afternoon, which wasn't too busy and got lots of help finding the perfect ao dai. The workers were all friendly and very helpful and had great customer service. There were so many designs to choose from and if there's a size or style that is out of stock, you can come back another time to get it! I price for the quality and modern style is so worth it! It ranges from $25-$50, which I think is a great price! Will definitely be coming back to find new styles! read more

I happen to come across this place from TikTok and it was perfect timing because I wanted to look for new Ao Dai for lunar near coming up really soon and when I saw the video, there were cute things that I saw and one I really really liked. I went on a Sunday morning 30 minutes after it opened and oh boy did TikTok blow it up! It was crowded with everyone in the store looking for an Ao Dai. Mind you, you do have to take your shoes off which was new to my mom and I, but whatever! All the Ao Dai's were cute, but I saw this red one and feel in love with it! It was still long and had a tie on one of the neck and a cut out but still a really nice change to it! The service was good! Everyone lined up and put their names to get a fitting room to try on things and the workers were really nice and sweet! They were definitely overwhelmed because there were so many people! For the price range it was not bad at all, I got mine for $33 and that's with including tax! read more

I am very disappointed and upset after my first time buying there, and now I understand why all their sales are final!!! When my son tried on their clothing it looked fine. Then when I wanted to buy it they took it from me and went behind the counter instead of having me take it there to pay myself. When I got home I found that there is a faded spot with mold on it.
