Ceviche
Terry P.

I enjoy this restaurant, maybe more than I should. The food is good, the service is good, and the ambiance is good. The grilled shrimp plate is the plate to get here. Nice huge shrimps that are grilled to near perfection. Oh, the shrimp ceviche is also really good! If you're craving some authentic Mexican flavor, this place will do, but it's not a place to drive far to get to. It's a place to eat at if you're nearby.

The service here is what really won me over. Everyone was so kind and it felt like family here. The food is comforting and focused on seafood. I really enjoyed their Shrimp Ceviche as it was fresh and tangy with a kick of spice. Definitely good to get a seafood platter to share. It comes with a variety including some fish. The also made it special by celebrating with an hearty flan that was nice and eggy too! The inside has a fun and playful seafood mural as well. It's a no frills space serving up comforting Mexican style seafood!

Seven seas soup.

I was greeted immediately upon entry and the waitress was very patient as I asked several questions about the menu. I was a bit leary because I've been going to the same seafood restaurants. Since I was a little girl. There was this was the first time I went to a different Mariscos and I was very impressed. I will go back very soon.

The waitress was very nice, staff attentive and super friendly atmosphere. Food was delicious, big portions, 2 could share an entree. Will definitely be back and suggest to others.

Fajita with mushrooms!

Honestly I am so disappointed by this place, but I gave them 3 stars because of the waitress and the guacamole was good! I ordered the fajitas which were so disappointing! They added mushrooms which I am allergic to! Second the tilapia had no meat on it and the food was not fresh! As we were eating we noticed the chef opened up a freezer across from us and boom all the frozen seafood was taken out including the oysters! You should just go there for the chips and guacamole!

Hair in my Togo order

I have been eating at this place for years And recently the quality of the food has been slowly getting worse and today after picking up my order and getting home we opened the plate and found hair in our food. Never eating at this place again.

The tostadas mix were good but I would never eat the siete mares, it taste like a vegetable soup with tomato. I was disappointed.

Do they have their own parking lot?

There is a small parking lot but it's shared with two other small businesses. We had no problems parking on a Friday night.

Somebody knows if they have camarones a la diabla?

Yes they do, my wife ordered that when we ate there this past weekend.

Lovely spot for Mexican food with fun vibes!…read more I came for Sunday brunch/lunch with some friends. I made a reservation through Yelp a couple days beforehand and there was plenty of availability. The restaurant is located right off Ventura Blvd and has an attached parking garage in the basement which can be accessed via the parking lot behind the restaurant. There were plenty of spots available Sunday afternoon when I came. It's a bit hidden, but there is an elevator from the garage to the top level where the restaurant is located as well. We had two babies in strollers with us, so I requested a table with plenty of space nearby for the strollers. They seated us outside on their covered patio, and indeed, we had plenty of space. I peeked inside and there's also a nice lounge area with a beautiful flower wall as well as a proper dining area. When we arrived, there was a live DJ spinning tunes. I assume he's there during brunch hours, as he left around 3 pm when brunch ended. I started with a frozen lime margarita ($12). It was okay; it felt like it was only half frozen as the ice wasn't blended that well. For my main, I got the famous Anejo carne asada and shrimp plate for $40. Yes it was pricy, but the portion size was also huge! I was starving and somehow managed to finish the plate, but it'd be a great dish to share for two people with small appetites. I really enjoyed it as well. I asked for the steak to be cooked rare, and they didn't overcook it. Each bite was super tender and flavorful and paired well with the rice. Everyone else also enjoyed their dish. One friend got the wet chicken burrito for $15 and it was massive! Another got the veggie fajitas with steak added and really enjoyed her dish as well. Solid food all around. I would love to come back on a weekday and try their happy hour! Sipping on $5 margaritas and $6 sangrias sounds like my idea of a great time!

Also love that they bring complimentary chips and salsa. While the vibes and staff are both lovely, the food is just okay. A bit overpriced and mediocre in flavor, quality and freshness. We got a burrito for $29 that didn't come with any sides and was bland and there was no texture throughout. Ceviche was also a bit on the bland side, very small portion, and avocado had some pretty large brown spots. Overall it's a classic LA spot and worth a try.

I call the number thinking oh someone will walk over and pickup the phone at the desk and I can get someone here that way. Noooope! That gets directed to a vm where i leave a message saying "hi I'm calling from the front of your restaurant trying to get someone to pickup the phone but I guess that won't work so I'll just hang up and see if someone comes over". A few seconds later the host walks over. I brush off the cobwebs that formed on me while I was waiting and go to the table. It took about 10 minutes to get our drink order- iced tea, peach margarita, coke. Margarita and coke came out 5 minutes after the tea. The margarita had ZERO taste of any alcohol so take out a loan if you wanna drink enough of these to get a buzz. I got the lobster enchilada for the first time. It was good, but not 33/35$ good, cmon. This place used to be so much better, but then again everything used to be so much better. SERVICE no Bueno. Place is so dark and loud now. Great if you like yelling to the people at your table. I'LL take 4 Taco Bell meals over 1 of these meals anytime.

Food 10/10 Service 10/10…read moreAmbiance 7/10 Stopped by because I wanted some bomb shrimp tacos and I heard really good things about this place especially the shrimp tacos and crunchy tacos and sure enough I see what the hype was about. The place itself is a super hole in a wall type of situation but immediately you are greeted by such great staff members I ordered my food and went to sit outside because it was a bit hot inside but I love people watching so outside it was lol. 2 LOADED shrimp tacos with rice and beans and a LOADED chicken crunchy taco with a Coke Zero only 27$ which was very reasonable especially for the great quality, they brought me out chips and salsa and a side of green sauce and everything was just so fresh I didn't even need to ask for more sauce. I will def be coming back and trying other things on the menu. The staff was super attentive and caring which is always an A+ for me.

Tried their Mega breakfast burrito and it did not live up to my expectations based on reviews here…read more I had high hopes and this burrito was just meh. Not bad, but not delicious. Pros: great service and friendly staff! They do not skimp on the meat and food is hot and fresh in minutes! Cons:The "golden potatoes" were a non-factor in the burrito. All the flavors and textures mushed together for a consistent average creation. The salsas were also lackluster. Neither had any kick, green was watery and the red remained me more of pace in a bottle than freshly made salsa. I want to support local spots so I might give them another chance and ask for crispier potatoes and crosstown fingers the salsas are better the next time.

The star of the show is their fresh, soft flour tortillas. I love a good breakfast taco, so I went with the Neches (eggs, refried pinto beans, and cheddar) and the Blanco (egg whites, mushrooms, and Monterey Jack). Both were delicious! My husband was hungry and somehow ended up ordering FIVE tacos! He did pretty well, though, and managed to eat four of them. His favorites were definitely the ones with the refried pinto beans. We also shared the chips and guacamole with our friends, along with an order of the Loaded Queso. And don't skip the brisket quesadilla! The only downside is that there are literally only four parking spots out front. But if you circle around the area, you should be able to find some street parking. There's also an outdoor patio, and water, utensils, and napkins are all self-serve. Service was great, one of the employees even stopped by at the end of our meal to offer us complimentary iced tea to go. Their menu has a great variety of both breakfast and regular tacos, and you can choose between flour or corn tortillas - both types of tortillas tasted so yummy and freshly made. Everything we ordered was so good! - Trinity breakfast taco (eggs, bacon, potatoes, cheddar) - definitely a classic breakfast taco - Brisket taco - comes with a juicy and tender brisket - Queso (served with chips) - great for sharing! - Cookie milk iced coffee - made with chocolate chip cookie-steeped oat milk and wasn't overly sweet which I appreciate There's a small parking lot with about four spaces, otherwise, street parking is plentiful nearby. Overall, a great spot for brunch or a casual meal!
