I really enjoyed coming at 7 AM when it wasn't so busy. The restaurant is always so clean the service is always excellent I mean this restaurant is top notch! It lived up to the hype! I went for Sunday brunch with my mom and boyfriend; we had about a 15 minute wait for a table of 3 (around 10am). We were quickly greeted by our waitress, Mae, once we sat down. We ordered 2 coffees and an iced pumpkin latte. The coffees were standard, bonus points for having decaf coffee freshly brewed. The iced pumpkin latte was very creamy and light in color. It was more of a pumpkin milk, than a pumpkin latte. For meals, I ordered the original pancake stack, and the rest of my party ordered the Canadian eggs Benedict (one with a side of poutine). The pancakes were light and fluffy and the maple syrup was so so good! I was expecting it to be with it being a Canadian diner!! The cream puff that came on top was one an added treat. The filling was light and custardy with a sweet icing on top. I tried the eggs Benedict as well. The ham was salty, thick and perfect for eggs benny!!! There was plenty of sauce on top, the sprinkled dill on top as a nice flavor touch. The poutine was piled high and looked fantastic; we ended up with a lot of leftovers. The side of potatoes with the eggs Benedict was a massive amount; they were heavily seasoned in the best way. It was progressively getting more crowded and busy, as expected for Sunday brunch, but Mae checked in regularly and dropped off things we needed before we could even ask (extra napkins, ketchup, etc.)! I came in and was immediately sat without a wait. I looked over the menu and found what I wanted. My server christine suggested nothing. Not even a beverage. This was my first time dining here. So that would have helped. She took a minute to refill my drink. I was thirsty because my waffle was huge and delicious. The chicken was hot and fresh and delicious. I just wished they had better butter options. I hate the small pack of butter. My menu was clean. I was surprised by that because it was a paper menu. I also noticed how clean the restaurant was. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! It's this cute little diner that I took my mom and brother for Mother's Day and it did not disappoint. It's tucked away in a little shopping center and really is a hidden gem. It's famous dish is the chicken bacon and waffles and it was amazing. The best chicken and waffles I've ever had. We also had the classic Canadian dish poutine which was very good. I might add bacon to that next time because I think it would've been the perfect touch. They also have a little bakery section too with amazing cookies and apple pie. My wife and I were visiting Dallas and wanted to try something new. To start, the decor in the restaurant represents Canada very well. I thought that was cool. I recommend joining the waitlist on Yelp because it gets very busy. Our server was very attentive towards us from the time we sat down to the time we left. We started with the half order of poutine. I came here the first time after my graduation. We were all starved after a long walk, and this place solved all our problems. I had the cream of mushroom soup, poutine, and Steak/Waffles. Beware, the food is extremely delicious AND can be overwhelming. But that doesn't take from the fact that this is the best brunch I've ever had. The next time I ate from here was Uber Eats - I had pot roast poutine and Chicken/Waffles. I know fries can get soggy but I didn't have an issue with it because the gravy made it so delicious. While you are here, try out their Bloody Caesar, it's a Canadian version of a Bloody Mary and it is DELICIOUS! I also tried out their strawberry mimosa, which was also incredible. This diner is owned by a restauranteur when he moved to Dallas and his wife missed the taste of her home, Canada. There are some spectacular looking dishes but the flavor of the food in many areas are on point. The potatoes on the side of the omelette were flavored wonderfully. We tried the country poutine and the French fires were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious, especially with the white gravy and cheese. The French toast was flavored perfectly. I could really taste the cinnamon. The only thing I felt that could have been improved was the omelette. The vegetables were cut into these perfect little cubes and I just felt that I would have enjoyed it so much more if the bell peppers were in slivers, the tomatoes were a bigger dice.... If there was a variety of sixes and textures I think it would have been better. I did request mushrooms in my omelette as well and they were also done well. The spinach's was cooked well. I felt that the omelette should have had some cheese on top for color and there wasn't a lot or a variety of cheese in the omelette, even though the cheese they did have was good quality. The service here was great. The booths are high and private. The place was full but the noise level wasn't too loud. The bathrooms were clean. I will definitely be coming back here again.
