Chicken lunch box
Amy L.

Slow service but otherwise good. Parking is very small but doable. Went during lunch and got a lunch box special which includes ice cream. I got the chicken one and it was a bit dry. Side dishes, on the other hand, were absolutely amazing! I'd say this is a decent lunch spot.

I've been coming to this gem for over 20 years! The lady owner is always incredibly welcoming and hospitable. Even with inflation hitting hard lately, you can still feel their sincerity in every dish. The portions are huge, and the sashimi is sliced generously thick! What touched us the most was when we mentioned how much we loved the tea, the owner immediately gave us a bunch of roasted rice (Genmai) so we could brew it ourselves! The interior is always cozy and spotless. It's rare to find a place that maintains this level of quality and warmth for decades. Highly recommended!

Great quality sushi in a friendly mom and pop restaurant! The restaurant itself is very cozy, limited seating but luckily on a Tuesday evening, there was no wait. Small private parking lot adjacent to the restaurant was convenient! The meal starts with complimentary salad, miso soup, and edamame. These were a nice surprise! We then went on to the fried calamari and baked mussels. Calarami was nice and perfectly crispy with a drizzle of a sweet sauce, it was perfect to share amongst three people. The baked mussels were amazing!! Topped with cheese, a sweet and savory sauce, the mussels were juicy boys and definitely got us excited for our main sushi entrees! We went with the albacore roll, spicy tuna roll, eel sashimi, salmon roe sashimi, dragon roll, and yellow tail sashimi. Initial impressions - great presentation, and came out relatively quick! The sashimi was FRESH, and the perfect amount of rice. I dislike when there's any more than a pinch of rice and Mansun did the portions just right! The salmon roe was a generous portion, and with each bite, they popped heavenly in my mouth. The rolls were meticulously made as well and tasted amazing! For the three of us, I think we did well with the portions and by the end, felt quite satisfied... This is when the waitress offered complimentary ice cream! How could we say no...so we all decided on the green tea ice cream. It wasn't too sweet, and was the story book ending to our meal. They do offer bento box style meals with tempura as lunch and dinner specials as well, so in the future I'd absolutely like to try these out! Overall, highly recommend and will definitely be back. Don't let the unassuming exterior appearance of the plaza dissuade you from giving Mansun a try!

I can't believe I've been driving by this place for years without stopping in--what a hidden gem! The food here is absolutely amazing and unbelievably fresh. The fish quality blew me away--so high-grade, so clean-tasting, and not fishy at all. I was genuinely surprised at just how good everything was. I tried the sea urchin bowl, which was insanely fresh and flavorful, and the lunch special teriyaki chicken with tempura--the portions were very generous and satisfying. I also ordered the sushi lunch special, and honestly, the fish quality was mind-blowing. It felt like something you'd expect at a high-end sushi spot, not a casual place you just stumble into. On top of the food, the service was excellent. The owner is so kind and welcoming, and they even give out free ice cream at the end, which was such a nice touch. It really feels good supporting a local small business when the experience is this good. (5/5) -- Fresh, delicious, generous portions, and amazing service. I'll definitely be coming back again and again.

I love this place, the woman who works here is so friendly and nice. Me and my family came here for a birthday and they made it really special. The sea urchin bowl is really good and unique. The sushi boat as well. And the lobster seafood hotpot. It is casual but I think because of the staff it is special. Would recommend!

Ordered to-go around 11:40 a.m. on Sunday. Food came out fast and was nicely packed. Few sea urchin spines were mixed into the rice, which was a little disappointing, but everything else was fine. Side dishes were light and tasty. Regular size was $33 (large $44 with tax). I'll probably go for the large next time--it was better on my last visit.

My go to spot for sushi in the Diamond Bar area! In my opinion they have the best combination of quality, price, and service. The owner/lady in charge is super nice and provides great recommendations, and the sides come quickly when you sit down. One of my favorite things about this place is the Banchan they provide since it's Korean owned. The place itself is small and cozy and really never too crowded so you can get seated quickly. Great place for casual dinners as well as celebrations (love their sushi boat, it's a great deal)

Esther was an amazing server for my friends bday dinner! The food was so good , she was so friendly and funny. Made us feel like family! We had a private room that was great for an intimate bday setting.

The food is always so good here! The sashimi is fresh and the uni bowl was soo flavorful and yummy. I came with my boyfriend and the sushi chef was sweet and made us the most adorable swan couple out of an apple. The owner is a nice Korean lady who has the nicest smile. Service is 10/10 and the food is also a 10/10! I highly recommend this place especially if you like uni!

Fresh seafood, delicious food. Recommend friends or family. Ice-cream colorful drinks.

This place was amazing. Our server was very quick and sweet. As teens we normally don't expect such great service but everyone in the restaurant had positive energy and was very efficient. Along with this the food was great.

Going going gone.

The food is fresh and large portion. The service staff is friendly and gave us great recommendation. There were five of us and we have our room.

Let me say the snails were a highlight. Surprisingly tender and flavorful. Sometimes, snails can have a livery / dirt / bitter flavor, but not these. And we were lucky rice wasn't on the table, because we would have stuffed ourselves eating rice with that wonderful sauce. Next comes the boil itself. My wife insisted on "no-spice" (ugh). But I got a side of the house sauce with med-spice. Let me tell you. That sauce. Again, good thing no rice on the table, because I'm already drowning everything in that sauce. Esp the garlic bread. The seafood was fine. You're not at the pier / Hawaiian beach / HK wet market fresh off the boat & straight into your mouth scenario. But fine. We're planning to be there again tomorrow. At least we get to celebrate my mom's birthday early! This was our very first time here. LUNCH 7 DAYS A WEEK FROM 10:30am-3pm DIM SUM WEEKEND HOURS: 9:30am-3pm It was very crowded upon entering. Waited for around 15 minutes. This is authentic, Hong-Kong Style Chinese Food and Yum Cha. I was told it was $36 for market price but I was actually charged $37. I also got a soda and asked for ice and it came in the tiniest cup of ice with no lid. It didn't really work for me so I ended up not using that cup. The employee in the front was nice though. Once I got home I tried it and it was okay. It's not the best lobster roll I've had. I think this restaurant is famous for their Lobsters but I never come here for that. My family is not a huge fan of Lobsters and I can't really afford that kind of Luxury. Most of the time I come here for the set meals. The second set meal has 1 soup and 3 dishes. We ordered the house special seafood soup, Clam with Basil Sauce, Sautéed Pea Sprout, and Kung Pao Chicken. With the set meal prices, each dish is less than $14. My wife likes the Peking Style Pork Chop so we got that too separately. Most restaurant charges $2-2.50 for a bowl of rice. This restaurant only charges $1 per person and gives you a giant pot of rice so you can have second or third if you are hungry. Traditional Cantonese restaurants usually have crappy service but the staffs here are very nice. They frequently change your plates and the food is served quickly. The restaurant is pretty clean. The best of all, the food quality is very good with good value. We like their Kung Pao chicken because the chicken is fried before stir fried and they made sure to use dark meat. I usually don't eat Pea Sprouts but this version is tender and garlicky. The Basil Clam meat is fat and each clam has sauce coating it. They are not cheap with the quantity of clams either. The dish is filled to the max. If you are looking for a traditional Cantonese food, this is the place. It is both affordable and tasty. Give them a shot.
