This is an amazing new Thai food spot that opened up in the area! I've been waiting for a restaurant like this to open near me. The restaurant is fancy and the vibes are great. It doesn't get too loud inside and all the employees are polite and helpful. When we visited the restaurant was still in its soft opening stage where they're testing out menu items and specials. We ordered the roti curry appetizer, green curry lunch special, pad kee mao lunch special, and pad Thai lunch special. Everything was delicious and pricing is fair. Tasty Thai food in Fullerton! We ordered a Thai tea flight and it was very refreshing and fun. The non traditional fruit Thai teas were new to me and tasted amazing! Definitely a highlight. We had the roti curry dip to start which had a nice flakey dough and creamy spicy curry sauce which made for a perfect appetizer. We had a pineapple fried rice which blended the savory proteins with the sweetness of the pineapple and had a nice kick from the curry spices. I love how Thai fried rice is always moist and this was no exception. Interior was clean and had a nice aesthetic with minimal wooden furniture and green plants. Service was friendly and fast even though it a full house on a Friday night. Parking near the restaurant is limited but there's a bigger lot so should be enough spaces. Definitely a must try if you're in the area and want to try the Thai tea flight with some great food. Will be back! read more

My dad and I saw this place open up a few weeks ago and decided to pop in to try it and it was amazing!! We got the lunch meal which is a salad, rice, egg roll, and your choice of entree. I got the pad see ew with chicken and it was super tasty, and my dad got the yellow curry with chicken and he really enjoyed it. The place is super cozy and has great vibes. It wasn't too busy when we came but we have seen lines out the door during dinner on the weekends. The food came out pretty quick, and the prices were very fair. Came with two friends and a baby on a rainy Friday night at 6:15 pm and since this place seemed to be popular, I made a same-day reservation just in case. There's a row of parking right in front of the restaurant, which was handy since it was raining, but there's also plenty of parking around the back and sides of the building since it's in a plaza. The interior is cute, clean, and modern and we were seated right away. To share, we ordered the chef's special Fried Fish Salad ($19.95), Moo Ping ($12.95), Tom Kha ($15.95), Khao Soi ($18.95), and a side of Roti ($8.00). The Fish Salad came with a side of rice and the cashews in the salad were a nice touch. The fish itself could've been more tender but was still good. The Moo Ping (pork skewers) were juicy and came with a yummy dipping sauce. The Tom Kha was standard and comforting to drink on a rainy day. We originally came to Manon for the Thai tea flights (which were just as aesthetic and fun as they sound), but ended up loving every dish we tried. The Pad Kee Mao was a standout, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat. We got it with medium spice, and it had that kick without being overwhelming. The pad thai was good and classic! Portions were spot on, generous and totally shareable depending on how hungry your group is. The crab cream cheese sticks were also good because they were crispy with a thin wrapper and a good amount of creamy filling in every bite. The crispy salt and pepper pork was also a good addition to the mix of our meal, perfectly crispy and flavorful! The Thai tea flight was a fun experience. The staff explained each tea, which ranged from bold to light and refreshing. My favorite was the original Thai tea because I really like its sweet, smooth, and nostalgic flavor. The bolder option was more tea forward, which was also nice depending on your taste. Service was quick, and the interior is modern, clean, and bright, and super inviting. This spot used to be Wood Thai, so even though they're in their soft opening, they actually function with full service and a stacked menu. So happy I found another great spot for Thai food in OC. The inside was super cutely decorated and very clean. The service was amazing, they took the time to explain each drink in our Thai tea flight and told us the order to try them in for the best experience. It was sooo delicious!!! My favorite was the purple one I believe it was lychee. For food we ordered the crispy tofu, yellow curry with chicken, and pad thai with tofu (not pictured). There was seriously not one single thing we didn't like. The tofu was super crispy and the sweet chili sauce was incredible with the peanuts. The pad Thai was everything you'd want/expect it was so flavorful and just tasted so good!!! The curry was probably my favorite because the dish itself was one of the best yellow curries I've tried, and the portion was HUGE!!! Like a huge bowl of soup I loved it. I loved the roasted duck curry, the flavor was complex and delicious!! However, I thought the tom yum soup was boring and lacking depth in flavor. Therefore I would make this a 4.5 stars if I could because I did like the curry and presentation of foods so I will be coming back to try their other dishes and follow up. We also got the tea flights which consisted of Bangkok thai tea (original), lychee lime tea, Phuket thai tea (darker roast), and a lemon tea. I came here with a friend this past Tuesday since I noticed their "Soft Opening" sign as I was passing by the Ralph's a week ago. I used to come when this was still known as Wood Cafe but I guess I didn't realize when they changed restaurants! The restaurant itself went through a nice upgrade with more a more modern seating layout and a cute cashier bar where you could order/pick up food to go. We came while they were still serving food for their lunch special, and I ordered their green curry whereas my friend ordered their Pad See Ew. Both dishes came with a bed of rice, salad, and a spring roll with a side of sauce. Between the two, I believe the green curry stood out more - very flavorful, more on the herbal creamy side, with still a slight spice to it without it being overwhelming for the dish. The Pad See Ew was good, but left a little to be desired as I think I'm more used to ones with more sauce. Unfortunately I forgot to take any pictures... I think I was just too hungry at the time lol. Additionally, since my friend is a student as CSUF, she was able to get a free chicken dish and Thai tea to go, all packaged up nicely for her just by following them on their social media! We even got 15% due to her being a CSUF student! Needless to say, Manon was a good experience overall from the food and attentive service. Our waiter was very friendly and checked on us multiple times throughout our meal and made sure our waters were full. Food: Mind blowing and almost as good as the best restaurants I had in Thailand. 5/5 Ambiance: Cozy 5/5 Service: 1 / 5. Servers were young and probably inexperienced. The service had me feeling like I was fine dining at Panda Express. What happened: So the server was bringing our food and I assisted in moving some of the things on the table to make room and I accidentally spilled my cousin's drink all over. Instead of cleaning it up for us, the server just watched as if I was some clumsy kid and just hands over some napkins to clean it ourselves. Of course we cleaned it ourselves so we can save with no tip. Just kidding. I tipped so they can go buy some towels they can use to clean the restaurant in cases of accidents like this. I want to give this place a 5 star, but I'll give an update whenever I make my next visit to see if the service department improves. read more

Manon took over Wood Cafe Thai Cuisine under new management. I had mixed feelings with Wood Cafe so I was expecting a lot more here at Manon. As soon and we entered during lunch time, we were seated right away after a party of 6 to 8 people. The main server working the front looked very out of place but then again, the place hasn't been open for too long. The man said he'll be right with us to take our order while taking requests from a different table so I was fine with that. A few minutes go by and our waters were finally brought out by a different female server. The man then passes our table several times without helping us. After what seemed like another 5 to 10 minutes, we were finally helped and the orders were put in. The man was also going around tables invading into people's personal spaces to pick up little scraps of papers and napkins in an aggressive manner which was already a bad first impression. Here's what we ordered: **Egg Rolls: The egg rolls itself were extremely small and had little to no filling. The sweet and sour sauce was a nice touch but the bed of shredded lettuce was not. (2/5) **Pad Thai with Chicken: Very decent plate of Pad Thai. Flavors were great and every ingredient was fresh. (4/5) **Pad See Ew with Chicken: Great Pad See Ew dish. Flavors were great and not overly salty. (4/5) Obviously, the front of house service was a bit meh during our visit. The man at the front seemed to favor other tables over ours. Food was actually pretty decent and the prices were fair so that's a bummer. This was my first and last visit to Manon. I recently had dinner at Manon - Art of Thai Flavors in Fullerton, and overall it was a very pleasant experience. What I Loved The flavor profiles were bold and authentic. The drunken noodles stood out--just the right balance of spice, texture, and aroma. Unique menu items like the Thai tea flight added fun variety and showed some creativity beyond standard Thai fare. The ambience is clean, modern, and inviting -- a nice step up from many casual Thai spots in the area. Service was generally friendly and attentive, especially once our orders were placed. The staff seemed eager to help navigate spice levels and recommend dishes. We had to wait a bit for a few dishes, perhaps due to kitchen pacing or staffing. A couple of dishes (I believe the fried chicken and the duck curry) lacked a little consistency: the chicken was crisp but slightly dry in parts, and the duck curry, though flavorful, could've had richer sauce depth. Prices felt slightly on the higher side for some of the portion sizes, especially for take-out. Manon shows great promise and already delivers many hits. It's not perfect, but it's a highly enjoyable spot for Thai food in Fullerton. I'd return to revisit favorites and try other menu items I didn't get to this time. I came during their soft opening and so glad I stopped by. If you like big and bold Thai flavors then this is the spot. They perfected the balance sweet and salty perfectly for every dish. Khao soi: 5/5 one of the best khao soi I've had! The chicken was so tender goes perfectly with the thick flavorful broth. Pad Thai: 4/5 did not stand out to me much decent dish. My girlfriend and I came on a Saturday night around 530pm (gets pretty busy after 630) We came hungry and over ordered but worth it. Khao Soi - a little bit more watery than I'm used to, aromatic curry broth with just the right balance of coconut richness and spice. The crunchy noodles on top added that decent texture contrast. They used boneless chicken thighs that was very tender and juicy. Good, but probably my least favorite of all the dishes - 7/10 Roasted Duck Curry - Deep, savory, and slightly sweet, this dish showcased Manon's mastery of curry pastes. The curry itself was such good flavor, the roasted duck was gold but I wish they would use a bit more fatty pieces, or not overcook the duck so much. Twice it's been just slightly dry but still a great dish! 8.2/10 Crab Fried Rice - Simple, but absolutely nailed. Each grain was distinct, lightly smoky, and kissed with umami. Not greasy at all (which so many places get wrong). Was expecting this to be my least favorite but turned out the opposite. The large lumps of crab on top and the sauce provided put this over the top. 8.9 / 10 Pad Thai - Wok hei for days. The noodles were chewy and perfectly coated in a savory tangy sauce. We got the chicken which was good. Would want to try the shrimp next. Pretty standard pad Thai but done pretty well! 8.1/10 Crispy Pork Belly - one of their specials. The spices and coarse salt flakes were perfect. My personal preference is that crispy pork belly be a little less on the cooked side. This was a bit more fried than I like it but the waiters are nice, could probably request for this. 8.7/10 And let's talk drinks - their Thai tea sampler flight is both Instagram gold and a genius way to try all the variations without committing to just one glass. My favorite was the classic Thai iced tea, but the lychee came in at a close second. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the food came out impressively fast considering how packed the restaurant was. The vibe? Modern, cozy, and perfect for a casual night out Pro tip: Come with friends and over-order. Half the fun here is trying everything family-style. Overall a great experience. They are still relatively new so I think they need to get their seating and time efficiency down (maybe hire more waiters/waitresses for the dinner rush) but otherwise all of them were super nice and attentive! This little Thai restaurant is a new hot spot in Fullerton. Not very big but the quality of food was excellent. I had the eggplant with basil and the fried fish salad with lemon grass. The eggplant with basil was flavorful with mixture of onions and chilies. The chicken was soft and tender. The fish salad with lemon grass was bright and vibrant with just the right amount of heat. The fish was flaky and topped with a zesty tartness from the lemon. The service was a little slow and needs a little improvement but with a little more training this place will be very successful. We came on a weekend around 5:30 and definitely beat the rush! Right after we got seated, the line started. The restaurant is located right on the left side when you pull into the plaza. The service was great but unfortunately, they ran out of the pork leg and seafood for the night. We waited around 15 minutes for all the dishes to arrive. Roti with Yellow Curry Dip- So so good! It was very soft and almost melts into your mouth dipped with the flavorful curry. hatyai fried chicken- Very crispy and plenty of share! It also came with a sweet dip and sticky rice. Roasted duck curry- So flavorful with the duck on top and it also came with a bowl of rice. There were also tomatoes, basil and pineapples added. We got medium but wasn't too spicy. Thai papaya salad- Normal papaya salad, can't go wrong! Drunken noodles with pork- This was my favorite dish but the medium was super spicy!! It was flavorful and they were generous with the portion. It has bits of pepper, corn, onions, tomatoes and pork.
