The staff is so friendly and the food is delicious. It's like taking a trip to a real NY pizzeria.

I have to say, I've been disappointed with Manhattans for a while now. My family and I eat at, as well as order from them, very regularly. The food is good and solid. The service, however, is spotty at best. The desire to fix something gone wrong, almost nonexistent. I am promised a time frame for delivery that is consistently exceeded. I usually have to call to check the status and am treated poorly for inquiring. I've had items show up incorrect or missing entirely and then have had to ask them to please go get it. Then I had to wait for another hour so that my son could eat! Not once have I been offered a discount or something gratis for apologies. In fact, I've never even had someone apologize for the poor service. I have held positions within the food service industry and am very familiar with typical mistakes that can happen from time to time. The service I've received is not acceptable. Its clear to me that my patronage at this restaurant is expected and is looked upon as if they are doing me a favor. It's clear that they are "too busy" to get things right or to make them right. Manhattans has become complacent. Very disappointing. read more

Need a new manager. When a customer calls to talk about the food they received (pizza cold and sandwich was wrong) and you get yelled at by the Manager that you just "want free food" is not good customer service. I didn't ask for free food. I asked that the sandwich be taken off the bill because they weren't going to be able to deliver the correct one for 30 mins. If I'm not going to eat the food - it's not free - more than welcome to come get it. Whatever happened to customer service. Most days we like the food, but really don't need the attitude. My 17 year old even tried to tell him and she showed more maturity on the phone than he did. read more

Herndon Location - Just had my first order delivered and I have to say I am not impressed!!!! The pizza was cold and very very greasy. I also ordered wings that were cold and over cooked. The calamari marinara sauce had the consistency of water. This is the first and last time I order from them. This type of service will put you out of business fast in this area. read more

I first tasted Manhattan Pizza and salad when a friend hosted her son's birthday party at my house. Both were so good that I pretty much only eat salads and pizza from Manhattan. They have the freshest salads and the best pizza. I eat there weekly. As a creature of habit, I only ate the pizza and salad until a few weeks ago. My goodness! The lasagna and chicken fettucine alfredo are awesome. The staff doesn't get any better than these friendly folks. I'm not sure exactly what happened this evening ... We have ordered at this place several times and tonight was by far the worst. I was left on hold five times over 5 minutes each time. Then I called back again, before the gentleman could finish his sentence and just auto put me on hold I interrupted and asked for a manager. Then he came back after a few more minutes and said sorry but manager was unavailable. I then asked to FINALLY make my delivery order. He stated sorry but it's over an hour for delivery. Everything other than 1 or 2 of their pizzas sucks. Delivery takes forever, servers are snarky, coupons are not always honored, calamari and other appetizers were not in a good way greasy. I've eaten there a couple times because they are close by me. In general I will try and find somewhere else. At some point quality overcomes easy. read more

Ordered online today and was called 30 minutes later and was informed that the driver said I lived to far away. Well guess what, I get menus in the mail and have seen drivers in my neighborhood and to top it all off I am 3.9 miles away from the restaurant. They offered me a discount if I would come pick it up. Even if it was a mistake and the website connected me to the wrong location they should have sucked it up and delivered it anyway at less than 4 miles away. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is cause the poor girl that had to call and tell me the driver wouldn't deliver was polite even when I was sarcastic and a bit rude. The kicker is that they had already prepared the food and I guess they would rather throw away a 50.00 order than drive 4 miles. Won't ever try to eat here again. read more

We got a white pizza and the Greek salad and it was delicious. The pizza ia first class. The salads are crisp and well made. The people working there are really friendly and the service is quick. I would suggest you make a trip to the new Herndon location, which just opened. Bon Appetite! read more

This is the most horrible experience i had with any kind of Pizza delivery place. Im writing with with most unsatisfactory experience. On 6/17/2012 night(my birthday was on 6/18) we had party in which my wife and one more guests were Gluten allergic and we thought of ordering some gluten free pizzas from Manhattan Pizza and for some reason we ordered the rest of the pizzas from Pizza Hut(Glad i did not order the entire stuff from Manhattan). We placed our order at 8:30pm and were told that it would take a maximum of 45 mins(usually with any other place it is 30 mins) but still we were ok with it. and we kept calling the branch till 10:10 and till date we havent got our pizza nor atleast a courtesy call. One of my gueste had to return home without food as we had no time to get anything else at 10:00pm. We were kept telling that our order is just 10 mins away but never got it. My wife had to sleep with a glass of milk and the guest returned without food just because of manhattan pizzas messed up and disgusting service. I will do everything that i can in my life to avoid manhattan pizza and make sure none of my friends opt for manhattan pizza. That was such an awkward moment and shameful moment to invite someone for dinner and then ask them to leave cuz there is no food and that too when its the first time they are coming to our place. I cannot even invite them again without guilt to my place nor will they care to invite us anymore. this is the most disgusting service iv ever had in my life. I will do everything to sue these guys over my experience as this has brought a lot of shame to me and and my family and also spoiled my relationship with my friends. The next day i even called Manhattan pizza as they dint even care to call back to apologize. He once again promised to call back as early as possible. But again yet another SHAMELESS act from them and they never called back. They suck at their service and absolutely shameless as they kept giving their promises and missed them deliberately. Im saying deliberately cuz no one in this world messes up something so manytimes and that too when it is as simple as calling back to their customers. I was visiting family in Ashburn and really wanted some delicious, mom-and-pop made pizza and this place filled that need to perfection. I got the Four Seasons with a wheat crust and it was excellent. Crispy and chewy crust, no grease and the right balance of seasonings. On my next visits, I will be ordering from them when I return and be trying a different style. read more

Turns out cc charged for online order. Spent 2 months conversing with these yahoos to get my money back. Last call, owner claims charges were reversed - checked my bank account - they haven't been. Disappointed, disappointed, disappointed. For an establishment that I have easily given well over $2000 and in business over the years (between work and personal orders), their customer service is appalling. I received the wrong order. When I called to ask if it could be corrected (due to a food allergy), I was told since it was placed online there was nothing they could do. They were happy to send me another order at my cost. When I asked to speak to the owner (who had given the server those instructions) I was told he had left the building. Then, I asked to speak to the manager. After waiting 10 minutes, the manager finally came on the line. She was laughing while speaking to me. When I voiced my concern, she flippantly said "ok, we will send you another pizza." I am quite disgusted at the treatment I received from establishment where I have been a loyal customer. Sorry Manhattan, but you have just lost yourself a customer. this was the best pizza place ever. from the crust, to the cheese. it was incredible. i loved it.

While the pizza is good their customer service is the worse I've ever experienced. The girl who answered the phone hung up on me after I asked her to confirm my address because it didn't sound like she wrote it down correctly. And sure enough she didn't because we got a call 20 mins later from the delivery man asking us to confirm where he needs to deliver to. I then called back and asked to speak with their manager. The same rude girl picked up and said I had to wait two hours cause the manager was too busy....REALLY!??? The manager called back and was apologetic and said she will have the owner call me back, and of course he never did. So unfortunately customer service is just as important as good food. So I won't be spending another penny at this place. It's a shame because my husband enjoyed their Manhattan supreme pizza, but after trying Rubinos today they have got Manhattan pizza beat not only in customer service but also all of their pizza is excellent. read more

I have been to the Ashburn location many times. They offer a great family special: 1 large pizza, spaghetti dinner and soda for $19.99. We order this all the time for my family. We have sometimes brought the coupon in and other times we have not but always been giving the on going special. I took my parents and family to this location for my sons 5th birthday and ordered the special along with other items. We did not have the coupon this time and the owner came out (I think there are 2 different owners, one that is great, and then there is THIS one) and blasted me in front of my parents and family about not having the coupon. He said very argumentatively, "Do you know how much it costs ME to run this ad?!!" I said, no but I have been here many many times before and this was never an issue. He continued to embarrass me in front of my entire family and little boys by talking down to me. I wanted my husband to jump up and punch him in the nose but that was never going to happen. The waitress came over and apologized for the owners behavior towards me. We wont go back there again and it's a shame. read more
