Anytime I have a hangering for pizza I order from this location. I normally enjoy the food quality from here better than Herndon - but i've had issues with payments here and getting all my items. I like the lunch deal specials. Use to be advertised at 7.99 for lunch specials during the week. At this location though it's 8.99 and it was consistant for a while then I picked up for myself and husband a month or so back and I was charged at 11.99 for both "lunch" specials when I went to pay. I tried calling back when I noticed but it was dinner time then and they were overloaded. Then we were at a friends house in southriding and there were 8 adults. I made the suggestion to order vocellis and offered to pick it up. So I picked up the two pizza's, a stromboli, pizza rolls and a 2-litter. Only when I got back to my friends house there were no pizza rolls. We checked reciept that was in the box and sure enough we did order it and pay for it. I called back and they said they would refund me the pizza rolls. I'd like to see more consistancy with check out and transparency with pricing. Overall I think vocellis has a good product with their Pepporoni neapolitan style pizza's and I like the lunch specials with an item and soda for those cheat days. read more

Vocelli is close by so we often order from here when we want to have a pizza night. I am a huge fan of their "Pick 3 Stromboli", and usually get it with veggies. Vocelli's cheese pizza is my second comfort go-to and sometimes I forget that they are a franchise. When we have family from out of town they ALWAYS request Vocelli pizza at least one night while they're here and complain that they wish they had Vocelli in their state. Our household is also a big fan of their "specialty" pizzas. While we are not huge fans of the other food from Vocelli, it's just personal preference and their strombolis and pizzas are amazing. 95% of the time, the food is perfect, hot, and delicious. We have not dined in since pre-COVID because the location is in a busy shopping center and the restaurant gets loud and busier than I would like. The only reason I have given 4 stars instead of 5 is because of delivery. Generally, we have a great experience with delivery and we generally order online. When we do call to order, the staff is very kind and helpful. The issue is most of the time, the delivery person (no matter how much I tip!) will not read the instructions and will leave the food and the front door, ignoring my delivery note to please ring the doorbell. Delivery times vary greatly with traffic so if I don't realize the food has been delivered (no doorbell ring, just left on my front porch) and it's out in the freezing cold for a few minutes, I end up with cold food. Is it the end of the world? Absolutely not. Would I like the delivery driver to please read my delivery note and ring my doorbell? That'd be awesome! read more

This is the 2nd and likely last time that I will order from this Vocellis. They ring the door adn put the food on the ground. I was literally at the door and the driver ran to his car and left. I asked them when I ordered the second time to NOT put my food on the ground. Guess what! They put my food on the ground (not even in a bag) and my husband was right there. I called them and the manager is rude and cut me off telling me, "I got it ma'am. I got it". As it relates to their food, it was still hot after taking 15 minutes to deliver. Prices are excellent, especially if you purchase an 18", and especially if you order online and use a discount code (the current one is for 30% off any pizza). The pizza's by no means artisanal, but it's a league above the typical delivery chain fare and has never once disappointed me. The employees have never been anything less than accommodating, friendly and kind, and it's always a pleasure to interact with them (tip them well, please; to the owner, pay them well, please, because your proles deserve it). My orders come out correct every time, and they're available for pickup within 20 minutes of being placed, every time. Today I'm finishing a 72-hour fast. Repeated the order today as it's too cold to go shopping, but when the order arrived, there was no tomato on the salad or the sandwiches, and no mushroom or onions on the sandwiches...so basically, it was bread, cheese, steak, and lettuce. Wasn't too impressed with my take-out order from here. I got a pan pizza with extra cheese and an order of breadsticks. It ended up being a little on the expensive side for pizza, since their pan pizzas only come in one size - large. The order came out fairly quickly, about 10 minutes. The pizza itself wasn't bad, but the crust was very greasy. I don't mind a nice, buttery crust, but this was just too much and left me feeling slightly sick. The breadsticks were just the same dough they use for the pizza sliced into thin strips and baked. They were very plain and came with a marinara dipping sauce that was cold and also very plain. They were edible, but not good at all. There are better pizza options out there. read more

I have finally settled on Vocelli as my go-to local pizza joint. I live in the neighborhood and for a long time it was a bit of a sweat as to whether I'd go with Vocelli or the Papa. In the last year, however, that decision has been made pretty easy for me. With Vocelli it's definitely a "get what you pay for" sorta thing. PJ's has gone to giving away 50% off pizza whenever any local team scores a sports point (seemingly) and the quality of what shows up at your door reflects that. Vocelli will very occasionally do some sort of crazy good deal, but I treat those like house money. What you get at Vocelli is high quality pizza delivered fast for a fair price. You will likely pay a few bucks more than PJ's and certainly more than Domino's, but your money is well spent. I will sacrifice a 5-spot any time to guarantee that I am going to get a better pizza. Their salads and stromboli are also first rate. I put 4 stars and not 5 because the last time I had their chicken it was not very good. Same with the pasta. If they change that up and the rest of their menu can keep up with their excellent pizza, I will bump it to 5. :) read more

Secondly, they don't care about the environment with the amount of menus they spread across my community. It can be hard to find really good pizza in this area, but Vocelli's does a fine, if unspectacular job. I honestly might not go there much if it wasn't right near my house. But I would never go there at all if it was as bad as Domino's, Papa John's, Pizza Hut and other such chain garbage. I have never had this horrible customer service ever! We ordered some pizza and wings through the slice app at 7:15 and it was supposed to be delivered by 7:50 at the max. At 8pm we finally call them cuz we hadn't gotten our food...first they said oh our food is on the way so we ask them can u follow up with the driver as we are literally 5-8 mins away from the restaurant. Then they changed their story to we don't have an order from you when they had just pulled it up by our name. Told us to go back to the app and figure it out. Ridiculous. We call the app and they said oh the resultant had some kind of an accident. And they will remake and deliver it ASAP. Ok fine. We wait another 40 mins!!!! And still no food. We call the place and they said the order was canceled!! Hahah could not believe that! Seriously don't kno how they are running the place...if u can't handle it don't participate in external apps. U clearly don't kno what ur doing. Anyway! Always better to go with the big guys or ledos!!! Never had any issues there. Also to add my husband had been fasting all day for Ramadan (no food or water) and because of them we had to refigure out dinner plans way after his eating him!! Absolutely unacceptable! THESE PEOPLE DON'T DESERVE A SINGLE STAR! We ordered online two pizzas and two side salads and cheese sticks. We have ordered from this location before and it was to be expected average pizza, average wait time,unsatisfactory service...you know them drill.....anyway we ordered online at approximately 8:24 on Monday night. We expected the usual 45 minute wait but then after nearly an hour passed we called the h.q. and got a young man named George who assured us that they were EXTREMELY busy !!!!!! Then he said he would call the driver to make sure that he " wasn't dead"...unfortunately seeing as I was the customer I was not in the mood for dramatics after a long Monday of working providing real customer service ...I...am...tired...and HUNGRY! So we waited for a call back and then finally we got so aggravated we called back and asked again where the driver was...now the time since order has been an hour....George assured us that he should be pulling up any second....uh huh....so we waited...no driver...no pizza...no customer service..... We waited and then called George and demanded that he remedy the situation..he pleaded that he had just gotten this job and would give us a free one topping large pizza....uh huh ...at this point the only pizza I wanted was the pizza I had ordered. We discussed with George that he needed to think of a better solution...one hour ten minutes....finally he said he'd be willing to offer us a refuse rate from forty to twenty...ok fine we settled for that but then when the driver still wasn't here I was so angry tired hungry and fed up with this entire debacle I didn't even want to give him a thing! Finally when he sauntered up our driveway with our pizza a man who was later tagged as Thai delivered me my pizza I was furious he made up some cock and bull story that his car had broken down and wahhhwahhwahh....I was so disgusted at this sad example of customer service that I only gave him ten dollars. Without counting it he started to walk away then yelled where's my money i said you need to talk to George about that he spoke with George as I went back to my table and he rang my doorbell and said that I still owed him nine dollars bringing my balance to the twenty George had so kindly adjusted for me ...uh huh...then when he started to raise his voice and get aggressive I repeated myself he scowled and called my a bitch then when I said in absolute horror at the absolute disrespect and this sad little mans disregard for his employment status, I said "EXCUSE ME! ?" He then scampered away to his car. I went inside fuming and called George immediately explained why he wouldn't get his full amount and the details of what had occurred and he exclaimed "oh shit" under his breath oh shit was right bud I got the name if the owner as well as the driver and said I would be expecting a call the following day George apologized and I hung up. Feeling as though this drama was over and finally feeling as though this was over and id get some grub I opened my pizza and the chess was on the lid no cheese no sauce it was a SAd excuse for a pizza the Italians would use it as a doormat or something to clean up their dogs feces with, we ate what we could and then a knock came on the door ...guess who..you got it it was Thai...come back to bicker some more....I wanted none of it I said you called me a bitch he said no I didn't. I closed the door. And went back to my meal and then my phone rang and it was this psycho Thai he wanted to yell somemore and I was in shock, now this worm knows my address and my phone number and has harassed me I was done I had my husband call and say to George that if Thai ever approached my home again we would have a HUGE problem ...not once was I yelling except for when I was called a profane word,not on the phone with a nervous manager. Not when I felt as though Thai was sitting waiting to attack me like a spider monkey for what? Ordered pizza and wings delivery the other night. Delivery arrived in 30-45 minutes though food wasn't terribly warm once it arrived. We got a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese - for close to $18. I find the prices a bit high especially considering that at other restaurants a large is 16" and here it's 14". I did enjoy the pizza though. Husband said the wings were ok - he got hot bbq sauce and said it tasted as if they just mixed tabasco with regular bbq sauce. We'll probably order delivery from them again but mostly because there aren't a lot of other delivery options in the area. read more
