The ranch costs extra, but was definitely worth it. The medium pizza fed our family of 4 perfectly. The "hand tossed" crust tasted like it was something previously frozen, and feel like Pizza Hut gives me better crust than that. The rest of the pizza was ok, but there was also something a touch off-putting about the taste. It was certaily was nothing special, but definitely not worth the $20 I paid for a medium. Covid-19 addition: This is after my third visit. I was prepared to give a good review until this last order. We ordered 2 pizzas. One had a deep dish crust and one had traditional. The highlight of my short DC trip! CPWAT brings a variety of custom pizzas and what was unique is they make 'indian' style pizzas as well, with various Indian foods on top of the pizza. Walking in we were greeted promptly and seated. After telling the worker how we were out of town and found them on Yelp he gave us 50% of one of our pizzas, which was appreciated! He also let us get a pitcher of craft beer ( they usually only do that for domestic) so the extra attention was appreciated. So we had 2 pizzas, and the one I loved was the pizza with white sauce, chicken and cilantro- it was 10 stars. I want to look for a good pizza with that white sauce, I only seem to find it only when I'm back east. If you are in the area I strongly recommend giving CPWAT a shot. I had 2 New Yorkers with me who gave this place the thumbs up ( that is big considering they are from NY) so let's get on over there !!!!! They crafted happy anniversary out of GOL and baked it into the pizza, and also made a heartwarming cardboard paper message on the inside of the lid. Fun menu for blend of pizza and Indian food! Appearance at first was not promising - looked like a sports bar, tons of screens with various games playing, utilitarian booths and tables. You go up to a counter to order and pay and they bring out your purchases, you get cups to fill your own soda fountain and ice teas. There was a large variety of Indian pizza flavors, many chicken and vegetarian options. You could also get vegan cheese and gluten free crusts. For people that want regular pizza toppings, they had those too. The pizzas came in size small/personal, to large/extra large for several people. I went with a group of friends, we got one large cheese pizza, a medium palak paneer pizza in medium spiciness, a small butter chicken pizza, and two small chicken tikka masala pizzas in mild and medium. The pizzas were all very bland and mild, toned down for American palettes, we were adding a lot of crushed red pepper to the medium pizzas to try and intensify the heat. Would say don't be afraid to order spicy, and don't get mild unless you like very mild. The cheese pizza guy said he thought it was very cheesy but was heavy on sauce, you may want to request less if you like a crispier crust. The paneer guy ate all his up. The chicken tikka and butter chicken pizzas had mostly meat and some green garnish on them, almost no veggies, I would get something else next time. One guy ordered curried chicken pasta. It came long after all the pizzas were delivered and half eaten, over 55 minutes after ordered. The kitchen had forgotten it. It was forgettable too - after half the pasta was consumed, it was more like noodle soup, just a meh dish, not recommended, and had a lot of red onions. We also had an appetizer of samosas - 4 small baked samosas served with bbq sauce, tangy and tasty. Overall, would say liked the samosas, and the pizzas. Would like to try some of the other flavors next time. There is a yelp check-in for a free fountain drink. They honored that okay, but we got mixed messages on many other discounts. There was a sign that said buy one and get one 50% off on the pizzas, but then when we were going to order they said it was for large pizzas only. Another friend had a % off coupon from social media that they were flaking on giving him the discount. Would say hit or miss depending on your cashier on how they interpret and honor discounts or coupons. Overall, food was tasty and different. Service was mixed, with ordering and forgetting to make/bring out a dish for our party of 6. Good options for people with dietary restrictions and easy for groups to order and then sit together. I have enjoyed this spot several times now, most recently getting takeout. I have always ordered their pizzas and really enjoy the Indian flavors. I did forget that I don't like the way they do deep dish and actually prefer their thin crust, so I have to remember that for next time. Since things are made to order, they are very fresh, but my last pickup order took a little over the estimated thirty minutes.
