Listen - this is THE place for Korean fried chicken. Seriously. No one else can beat these guys - the number of options, the staff (so sweet and helpful), and the flavor...-chef kiss-! Some how even the regular wings have a kick to them, not sure how that works but I'm here for it. If you have a spice adverse family member I would recommend sticking with no sauce because they still have a little kick. The soy garlic is a little sweet and a little heat. The spicy has a lot of flavor and definitely a spicy bite! I haven't tried the red hot because I'm not that brave lol, but everything here tastes amazing. The chicken is super crunchy, flavorful and the heat is awesome. The fries are a nice addition and somehow stay crispy even if they get delivered. I've eaten here at least a dozen times and they are solid every single time. The guys in the front desk were always smiling and very accommodating.. they had lots of tables inside to sit and dine . Foods tasty. Service can get a little backed up but that's ok. Sides are tasty too. Rice, seasoned fry's and slow are good. My only issue is the lunch whole chicken should be renamed lunch half chicken. Note to people who do not like spice - the basic soy is a little spicy I'm cool with it but you should know. I went here with a large group. Everyone said the food was good. The service was excellent. The reason for the poor review is that I wasn't able to eat here due to all of their food having peanut in it. There's a warning on the menu stating this- which is good to know for anyone with peanut, wheat, soybean, or egg allergies that they will not be able to safely eat here. A bit disappointing since the people working there were so nice. I sat with my friends but was unable to eat at this place. We will look for another restaurant with safe food options in the future. Hope they change their practice and do not continue to exclude those with dietary restrictions. Another side note - no vegetarian meal options - only sides which leaves vegetarians with no real options. With so many vegetarian options available it would be really easy to sub in veggie chicken and make it more inclusive. I usually get the wings either in soy garlic or snow onion (really great sauce to put over the wings), or hot which is fairly spicy. Some of my friends like the tenders. I say try both. It usually comes with radish cubes. They have curly or regular fries, Calamari, and some other sides too. Idk if it was the hangryness or the heat wave but the chicken hit different this time. We ordered the soy garlic wings (10 pcs) and fried drumsticks (5pcs) with a side of coleslaw. I was literally drooling as I was eating everything. The side radish was one of the beat radishes I ever had and was a perfect palate cleanser for when I wanted to switch between the two flavors. The coleslaw portion was unexpectedly huge but absolutely delicious. The chicken itself was soft and tender - came right off the bone. I love how the chicken wasn't spewing grease everywhere and cmon the soy garlic is AMAZING - sweet, savory, and a lil kick to it. The sever was extremely accommodating to us especially since we needed to eat outside for our dog and gave us everything we needed for our meal. Somehow, the Koreans have figured out how to make chicken better than us. We usually just order the classic whole chicken for a family of four. They throw in pickled turnips, which is a nice sweet and sour compliment to the savory taste of the chicken. They chop the chicken into palm size pieces, so you'll occasionally get splintered bones; you need to be careful because you want to devour the chicken as it tastes so good. We always call in our order for takeout, though you can eat your meals there, and it's hard to make it home (5 miles) without diving into a piece because the smell is so good. Orders take about 10 minutes to fill. We first discovered CM Chicken during COVID as they would deliver to the car on the sidewalk (they'll still do that if you ask them to) There are other CM Chickens through Northern Virginia. Or put the radishes in a plastic bag by itself. This would have prevented my take out order of two boxes of chicken from falling onto my foyer floor with a puddle of radish juice.
