Bacon burgers and hot dog both burnt.

I think giving it one star is actually a reward. You try to support small local businesses where minorities are trying to thrive against large chains, but situations like the one I experienced at this place--run by its owner--really make you think. Sometimes it's better to go to big chains because the employees there show more respect and professionalism than the owner of this small business. The food was served 50 minutes after ordering, and it arrived burnt. Mike's response when I asked to cancel the order due to the long wait was that if the food was fine, there was no reason to refund the money. I don't recommend this place, not just because of the food but also because of the attitude and service of the person attending, who unfortunately is the owner.

Big Mike is doing his thing, we need more restaurants around Charlestown/ranson like this than fast food

Most of them good, but as time has passed they've gone from great in 2019 to terrible in 2026. The other night I walked in and they were understaffed. Place was not busy with customers but only one guy working the front and he spent more time shooting the breeze than helping. Another lady was running around grabbing food and eventually walking out. Don't know if she was an employee or just a grubhub/doordash/self-employed person. No one ever got to me. I left eventually. On busy nights they also don't have enough employees. I've had to walk out hungry a couple times before. When I do get served the quality of the food gets a little worse each time. I've had too many undercooked meats, mixed up orders, food that was either unpleasant or just plain bland. And the service quality has slowly deteriorated. Employees are always polite, but more and more give the impression they are either burned out or just never gave a damn to begin with. They expect you to figure out your table number and you have to pay up front, which creates a clog in that narrow hallway and its a hassle every time. So tired of them. I decided I will not go back. I'm not hoping they see this review and fix everything. I am hoping customers see it and choose a better place. Oh, and being attached to a hotel, their parking is always a nightmare.

The dining room looks....tired. Another reviewer was spot on when they compared it to a hotel lobby. Service was absolutely fantastic. Our waitress was professional and friendly, she took time to explain items on the menu, and we never had to wait for a drink refill. Sadly the food just isn't good. He ordered the 16oz ribeye, medium. The steak came out rare with no sear and no seasoning. He ate it, but a big portion of the steak was fat and gristle that needed trimmed off. We were aware no sides are included but for that price give us a garnish or something, the plate just looked pathetic and bland. Not at all what you'd expect from a steakhouse. $12 for a side of whipped potatoes that tasted like instant potatoes from a packet. I ordered the wedge salad and French onion soup. Salad was good, I couldn't eat the soup. First time in my life I've ever turned away French onion soup. It just tasted like a bowl of thick hot weird gravy. I'm no foodie but I LOVE French onion soup and I don't know what the heck this was. I've had better at Applebees. I wasn't going to say anything but our server noticed I hadn't eaten the soup and she took it off the check which was very appreciated. 10/10 for service, 1/10 for food. Maybe the chef was having a bad night but I can't say we'll be back anytime soon. I came home starving and heated up one of those instant ramen noodle packets which tasted like paradise compared to the food at Final Cut.

I ordered medium rare, and it was cooked correctly, but the quality of the meat didn't make it a great experience. It was chewy and lacked flavor. The mashed potatoes were the classic Joel Robuchon butter and potato recipe. You had to pay extra for that, as you would for any side. I did not eat anything I would order again at any price. At the price paid, it was very disappointing. Service was good.

What really sets this place apart, though, is the service--especially Jill behind the bar. She's not only incredibly friendly and attentive, but she also makes what might be the best spicy margarita I've ever had. It's perfectly balanced with just the right kick, and you can tell she knows exactly what she's doing. Between the welcoming vibe, great food and drinks, and standout staff like Jill, Stoney's is definitely a place I'll keep coming back to. Highly recommend checking it out!

I want to start by saying that our server, Lydia, was fantastic. She was attentive, responsive, and…read moregenuinely seemed to care about our experience--especially when the food fell far short. In my view, good service deserves to be recognized regardless of kitchen performance, and Lydia absolutely earned that. This was our second visit. My wife and I enjoy oysters and were excited to find a nearby spot offering fresh half shells--especially with their $1 oyster special on Tuesday nights. On our first visit, we tried the "double D" oysters, which were large, plump, and fresh--exactly what we were hoping for. They were the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the lobster rolls didn't live up to the same standard. At that price point, they should be more substantial, and the bread should be appropriate for the dish. Instead, the roll was dry and the lobster portion was underwhelming. I'd recommend skipping it. That said, Lydia's service that night was excellent. Last night, however, was a different experience. Upon arrival, we were greeted by someone who appeared to be the floor manager, who made seating two people without a reservation feel like an inconvenience--despite several open tables and a largely empty outdoor area. Not a great first impression. Once seated, we struck up a conversation with a nearby table and ordered an appetizer, a dozen mixed oysters, and entrees. I went with the flank steak sandwich featured on the menu, while my wife ordered the paella. The iced tea was good, and my wife's cocktail was well-made and generously poured--no complaints there. The salmon bite appetizer, while tasty, felt overpriced for what it was: essentially broiled salmon on lettuce with a maple glaze. When my sandwich arrived, it came with exactly three overcooked, limp asparagus spears--I should've gone for the tots. The sandwich itself was even more underwhelming: a small bun with maybe three ounces of meat, a few mushy onions, and some cheese. My first bite was mostly gristle and fat. I understand flank steak isn't a lean cut, but when served as a sandwich, it should be properly trimmed and sliced. There's no excuse for a $20 sandwich to be that poorly prepared. The overwhelming taste of black pepper didn't help either. I ended up sending it back after one bite. Lydia handled it as professionally as possible, but I declined a replacement. As for the paella, it raised a different issue--how do you end up with overcooked shrimp and undercooked scallops in the same hot dish? It doesn't make much sense. While the flavor was decent overall, the execution didn't justify the price. To summarize: Lydia is excellent--if you go, take care of her. The oysters remain a strong point: fresh, plump, and enjoyable, though they could be more generous with the horseradish and cocktail sauce. The biggest disappointment was the lack of accountability from management. There was no visit from the floor manager (Mr. Inconvenienced from earlier) or anyone from the kitchen to address the issues, leaving Lydia to handle everything herself. The wait staff deserves better. If you're going for oysters, it's worth a visit. If you're planning a full dinner, be prepared for high prices, small portions, and inconsistent execution. The service staff and menu have potential--but the kitchen needs to step up. One final note: if you're charging $36 for a pour of WhistlePig whiskey, it should be served properly--with a clean glass and appropriate ice. Serving it with debris floating in the glass is unacceptable. You lost that customer too. Lydia is the ONLY reason why this is rated above one star. Kitchen needs to step up. Big. You're going to start losing servers.

First off many items on the menu they did not have such as French onion soup. Mind you they only gave two soups to begin with. My wife and our friend ordered loaded baked potato but we only received one of them until we asked for the manager. The manager saud the kitchen was backed up because they had a party of 20 who ordered different items on the menu. Isn't that a possibility if you let them orderI from the menu? I did not get the chipotle aioli with my fried green tomato blt and had to wait till we got another wait staff to get it. Service was horrible. The food subpar. The whole experience was hideous. As a chef of 45 years I had to wonder why a party of 20 people would throw the service off in the restaurant??? Made no sense at all. The place also needs some upgrades like tables that don't tilt and backs of seats that don't move. Just was not very clean or well maintained. My silverware looked as though it was already used. Needless to say we will never be back! Horrible experience on all levels!
