Unfortunately this spot was disappointing from the moment we walked in. When we were trying to order, the person behind the register was on the struggle bus. I had to repeat my simple order four times. When I asked if they had any milk (for the kiddos) she laughed and just stared at me confused. I explained it was for the kids and we were dining in. She said she wasn't sure and then over a minute later confirmed they didnt. I asked for four water cups and that seemed to be another confusing task and I had to repeat that while she got several options for cups (putting them back and taking them out) before handing them to us, and then couldn't remember if we wanted water or a fountain drink. Needless to say our order was incorrect. We received a deep dish pizza, which we did not want but ate regardless because we were hungry. The Stromboli was very good, but the crust was turning soggy after sitting for 10 minutes. On a positive note, the tirimisu was awesome! The tables didn't have any napkins or condiments for pizza/pasta (cheese, red pepper, or oregano) but up by the soda fountains they had one of each. The problem with that is of course people would take those to their table and not put them back. To avoid awkwardly requesting to use them and then bring them back we just decided not to bother. I cannot imagine why the restaurant wouldn't provide these at the table or at least have more available. Ambiance was good. Typical pizza shop - booths and some tables. Walk up to order. I rarely give a five star rating, but based on my two recent orders at Scotto's Rigatoni Grill I feel comfortable doing so. Both of my orders were through Door Dash. My first order consisted of tortellini-something I crave but rarely find good anywhere. The tortellini was perfectly cooked and coated with just the right amount of sauce. The serving was generous and came with a couple of delicious pieces of bread. My second order was the antipasto salad. Everything was super fresh, again generous and really tasted great. I normally cannot eat raw onions, but whatever type of red onions this restaurant uses were very mild and added to the taste. There are no hidden fees using Door Dash and the separate food items arrived at the perfect temperature for both orders. I have never been to this location in person, but I imagine it is a kind of diner that believes in yummy food, at a decent price and leaves you wanting for more. read more

Went to celebrate my son's orchestra night and boy, was it AMAZING! We had a fairly large party of 7 and ordered the garlic knots and calamari which came out almost immediately. Both were piping hot and absolutely delicious! Next came our entrees, fettuccine carbonara, tortellini carbonara, cannelloni di Napoli, and pollo ala picata. My mother loves her food HOT, not spicy, just HOT and they delivered it in spades! It was all SO tasty that they had us all tasting each others dishes to see how amazing it all was. The service was absolutely impeccable with them coming to check on what are needs were. Lovely ambiance inside. OH, and we were stuffed (portions were large and filling...we took a doggie bag home) but had to try the tiramisu. The tiramisu did not disappoint. Delicious! I wish we had taken pictures to share just how amazing it looked and tasted. As a family, we have decided that THIS is definitely a place to revisit with whole family again. Tried to fix the cheese myself but wife insisted we should call them. (They said 45 min to an hour. I ordered a extra grande Sicilian thick crust with green peppers and black olives. I was told delivery would take an hour and half, so I decided to pick it up. I was told pick up would take at least an hour. When I arrived at the store an hour later the staff was friendly and polite. When I got home we found the pizza was cold and the crust burnt, it clearly didn't take an hour to make and had been sitting for some time. The pizza itself was bland and tasteless. As a brambleton resident, Scottos is conveniently placed in our very retail/restaurant limited stretch of a neighborhood. I mean when we got a gas station i just about cried but i regress. I have been here just 5 years and i've had my ups and downs with this location in terms of customer service. Businesses, at times, fail to realize the importance of good customer service. It will make or break any situation. Now i am not sure if Scotto's is under new management but I have to shout out James specifically. The last couple of times he has taken care of the FOH during my pick up orders and he is just fantastic. It's the kind of customer service that is above and beyond. If, for whatever reason, my order was incorrect (which it hasn't been) he would keep me coming back. I love the food, i mean their pizza is great. I only hope they are taking good care and acknowledging their staff for their superior customer service because the restaurant industry is tough. Called at 7:00pm, and again "your food is right around the corner". I live around the corner! Called at 7:30pm (TWO HOUR MARK!) and was told "Uh, no one was home. We tried to deliver it twice. Guess he went to the wrong house". We had to go up and get our food. NO ONE APOLOGIZED TO US. WE WERE ACTUALLY TOLD TO WAIT 10 MINUTES LONGER THAN WAS JUST TOLD OVER THE PHONE! I'm baffled. 1 out of the 3 items wasn't even in the bag!! Delivery driver calls me at 8:00pm saying "I'm outside." We have already gone up to the restaurant to get the food. I go to the front door and shocker! No delivery driver! He went to the wrong house THREE TIMES! Get some better delivery drivers, and maybe check that the order is complete after 2 hours of your customers not getting their food. Also, don't try to deliver my food after 2 1/2 hours. I've been a Scotto's customer since it opened. It's not fine dining, but it's reliable and reasonable. However, I'm disinclined to return after an experience last night. I ordered three pasta dishes for carry out: Baked Ziti, Tortellini Carbonara, and Gnocchi Sorrentini. I arrived home to find the gnocchi, which I've ordered numerous times previously, was definitely not gnocchi. I called the restaurant, and the employee was polite. He spoke to the owner, then told me that what I received was gnocchi and there wasn't anything they could do. I asked to speak to the owner, who insisted it was the same gnocchi they'd served for years. I described what I had received and said that it definitely was not gnocchi, but he insisted they'd given me gnocchi. I finally said I'd come to the restaurant to show him. When I arrived, I handed him the container and said, "This is cannelloni." He glanced at it and said, "You're right." I asked him why he'd wasted my time arguing instead of apologizing and urging me to come back to allow them to fix their error. I asked for and received a refund. This was awful customer service. Rather than apologize and take ownership, he chose to argue and insist I was wrong. You blew it, Scotto's. I can see my time and business isn't valued. So, you'll get neither one. read more
