Review for delivery only. I've been ordering here since I moved to Ashburn in '98. This is one of the better pizza places in Ashburn - Rubino's is also pretty good, but I prefer Manhattan. Pizza is spot-on with NY-style thin crust and a good toppings-sauce-cheese ratio. The crust could be a little crispier, but this is fixed by dry pan-frying for a few minutes (awesome trick my FMIL taught me). It's a gamble on the sandwiches, though - my fiance got a chicken parm sub one time, and it tasted like they had baked the chicken plain, then added pizza sauce rather than marinara and a lump of barely melted mozzarella. Ick. He couldn't even finish it (and he will eat almost anything). On the other hand, that same night I had ordered a reuben, and it was perfect - a little smaller than usual (but that's what I wanted) on rye bread with Russian dressing (not mayo, ick) and corned beef. Nice and greasy. If you're getting a sandwich, try the reuben. The fries are good - they are cakey, though, so don't get them if you don't like cakey fries. Also, they deliver to me (I am three miles away) in 15-20 minutes every time. read more

First time trying a Brooklyn Bomber pizza and I like it. Pizza crust is just right, soft with a nice crunch. Not exactly New York pizza but taste better than franchise pizza. Delivery took 35-45mins but that's average unless you live within walking distance. Pizza wasn't fresh out oven but was still warm enough to eat. read more

Their Greek pizza is the best, but any of their pizzas would be good. Quattro Fromaggi is another standout. Reasonable prices, high quality ingredients. Their gyros and antipasti are good as well. Just watch out for some of the sides. We've tried the calamari, the mozzarella sticks, a couple other things I don't remember right now, and they seem to be premade and frozen. I don't know that for a fact, it just seemed that way based on the uniformity and so-so texture. Not enough sauce. Sometimes we can't even find the sauce lol (did they forget sauce?). And if we ask for extra sauce the whole pizza falls apart, so that's not an option lol. I took 2 little boys for a quick bite to eat -- so my review is primarily based on what we ordered and our order did not include pizza. We ordered spaghetti and gyro platter. The gyro was not very good and I have had much better. The sauce in the spaghetti was a bit too chunky, especially for kids but tasted okay. It's a No for me. Those who know pizza understand that the defining feature is the crust. This crust is not homemade, not tasty, not good at all. It's just bland and loaded with dough conditioners so it keeps for a long time and bakes unnaturally evenly. Those who know gyros understand that the meat must be sliced super thin, to allow for an even char across a large surface area. All these guys know how to do is mark up cheap ingredients. Don't give me that Grande cheese bullshit; the magic is still missing. The tomato sauce has good flavor; though the fresh tomatoes are wrongfully refrigerated. We have ordered here a bunch over the last 8 years and have been satisfied. This last week they managed to destroy our history with two botched deliveries. I am willing to be understanding of mistakes. However, repeated mistakes are frustrating, and a poor reaction to mistakes will make me take my business elsewhere. We ordered a pizza on Saturday and substituted black olives with kalamata olives. This pizza arrived with NO olives. In response they offered us a 20% discount, which we later found out was a "coupon" that could not be combined with other offers. On Wednesday, attempting to fill our kalamata olive pizza craving, we ordered a custom pizza using our "coupon". This pizza arrived with black olives. My wife made the phone call to complain, but I heard enough to be upset. They started by offering another 20% "coupon" and had plenty of excuses. It was explained to us, by the manager, that they were out of kalamata olives and "what do you expect us to do....". She explained the obvious expectation that we should be notified that they do not have the thing we ordered. In further detail, the MANAGER explained that only the kitchen was aware that they were out of kalamata olives and the people that were interacting with the customer did not. The only saving grace is that after a long conversation they agreed to refund the pizza. We may be back, but only after checking out the many competitors. read more

I took kids here that I regularly babysit for, because their mother had three certificates given to them from a race that they'd run, each for a free small pizza. I have worked in the food industry & understand that there are people who really milk that stuff & that's annoying. But there was no limitations on the certificates - the family had earned them from the race, & frankly, Manhattan should not have offered them with no limitations (I.e. "Free with purchase of drink", or "one coupon per party", etc) if they didn't expect them to be used. Frankly, I was grateful for the certificates because I can't always afford to take those kids out to lunch, & it allowed me to do that. The problem is, I went in to place our order, informed them that I had the certificates, and I got dirty looks & blatant hesitation. I kindly pointed out that there were no stipulations on the certificates, & they honored them, but for that very reason, I won't ever go back in there. I'm not a stickler - I'm a foodie - I love to support local business, I love to try new things. This was my first time in a Manhattan pizzeria, & I will be glad to not give them my actual money in the future based on this experience. read more

One time I rolled in there at 9PM and asked for some slices of pepperoni, and they were out, but one of the guys offered me a 16" pie for $5.99!!! My bf and I have literally ordered pizza here once a week or once every two weeks. (If I go on vacation, he might order 3 times in one week.) Seriously awesome pizza! We have been ordering from this location for 2 years now and always get Pep pizza and sometimes get gyro meat or fries. All are amazing! They always deliver super fast and hot! We have never had a problem! They even deliver on those horrible days that it is too bad to go driving -- ie, snow, heavy rain, or you just cant get out of bed because Netflix is calling! We were even staying at the hotel down the street due to apt construction issues and they delivered directly to our hotel room! Seriously, no leaving the room even! I went to dinner here with my mother who was visiting; been here a few times and it's basically hit or miss. The pizza and food are really good, however the service just makes it tough to come back especially after this last time. I'm guessing it's a family owned business, which I love to support, but I'd suggest putting a little more "family and friendly feeling" into the operation. The server was completely rude; she actually said to us, "I'm sorry, I'm busy," with attitude when I made the complaint that we were expecting the appetizer before the pizza came out... and that we no longer wanted the appetizer. They both arrived at the same time. She argued with me and said it was my responsibility to pay for the appetizer once she brought the bill. I really felt like yelling that it was her responsibility to make sure the APPETIZER comes out before the ENTREE. Right?? She took the app off the bill finally; we paid... and we even left her a 10% tip. I suggest leaving her a penny so she learns something. I worked as a server in college and dealt with some pretty stressful situations, including way too many tables at once. You learn to just roll stuff off your back, but never did I ever tell a table that I was too busy for them. The server at Manhattan Pizzeria asked me what I would have done in her place. I answered that I would've walked to the back of the restaurant and kicked the wall, rolled my eyes, and said a few things to myself and co-workers... but walked back to the table and apologized for the mix up, smile, and done. Got a large one topping, onion rings, and a veggie calzone for takeout for $27. Great crust and sauce - true to the Manhattan style. Onion rings were crispy and the portions were all great (easily fed five people of various ages). Previously have enjoyed salads and the gyro, though we had to take some raw onions off. No biggie. Their sausage is tasty and not greasy. Staff was friendly and professional like you tend to find at family pizza joints. I ordered delivery last night. My order arrived very timely and the delivery man was very nice and professional. As for the pizza....it was warm at best. Once we reheated it, it was very tasty, although it didn't appear to be well done, as I ordered. We also ordered the pepperoni rolls and garlic knots. Those were very tasty as well....after we reheated them. It seems this pizza would be very good right out of the oven and hot. What a terrible experience. They are not following county or state health and Covid-19 laws and protcols. I couldn't eat my burger, due to how overcooked it was, so i gave it to my dog. The pizza was not prepared correctly. How do you send out a Hawaiian pizza without ham or pineapples? The cashiers were Constantly touching their masks and pulling them down to drink soda and water on the front line where guests were. I was there about 40 minutes waiting and never saw anyone clean anything or wash their hands. But the WORST thing is they touched my Gelato with their dirty hands and didn't have gloves on. The one girl licked the Gelato off her finger while closing my container, and STILL DIDN'T WASH HER HANDS. I threw the Gelatos away. Then they touched and opened my cold pizza with their bare hands as well, while speaking over the pizza. ???? I literally couldn't eat anything i purchased. I threw the pizza away as well. A waste of money, and I had to go elsewhere for lunch. I hope they turn it around, as I had high hopes and truly want them to succeed. But they're going to make someone deathly ill or worst yet kill them. A waste of 50 bucks, plus a $20 tip. I tried calling 4 times to tell them to do better, but they didn't answer once. It is seldom that I write a bad review, things have to be pretty bad. I was told an hour to hour and 15min for delivery. After 1.5hrs, I called in and was told that it's almost there. After 2hrs, still no pizza. I called and cancelled the order. This is the second time this has happened to me with Manhattan Pizza. When you're hungry is no time to screw up like this. There are plenty of other pizza places around. Needless to say, I will no longer order from them. So, yes, 1-star (Not Good) is being kind. read more

The food is good; however the staff are so unorganized. Be careful when you use your credit card or bank card to order your food. They created two transactions and charged our card twice. We finally got them to refund one of the charges. Additionally, a few times we ordered, they kept messing up our orders by forgetting to deliver something and had to come back or they totally gave us something else that we did not order. I understand with good food comes busy moments but that is no excuse to mess up your customers orders multiple times or double charge our credit card. Please hire more people if you're short staff. Perhaps when we get one delivery with no issues, then I will edit the review and give them more stars for the great food. read more

Tonight we made our way back for a redemption trip to Manhatten Pizza.The owner didn't like my previous review and sent me a gift card and invite to get another chance.Well they added the yogurt store and cleaned the dinning room,as well as changing the ordering area.I was told that a new policy of hair restraints we be enforce, some of the kitchen people did.To no avail my wife's greasey personal pizza had a hair and tasted of rancid garlic.I had a Gyro that was ok and an order of baklava that had no taste other than sugar syrup and a hint of cinnamon.$4.79 for 2 pieces, where is the lemon & clove?It was fresh tasting though. I have loved Manhattan Pizza for such a long time. My S/O introduced me to them years ago and we would always order out with them. Recently, they've gone downhill with their food and mistakes. Numerous times I've had drinks/deserts missing from my order. Sending blue cheese instead of ranch...I dealt with it and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Today literally was completely out of line. I ordered 2 steak/cheese with fries and 2 cokes (those came out alright I guess and they didn't forget the drinks this time). I ordered my daughter the kids Mac n' cheese...and I'm so livid. They gave us EASY MAC. I'm not stupid. I grew up eating it. The fact that they so blatantly took advantage of us (and many others I'm sure) leaves me speechless. They charged me $5 for EASY MAC. If I wanted to feed my daughter that I'd buy a bunch of packs from the store at way less of cost than what they charged us. I'm appalled and so disappointed, I don't even know what else to say. Giving customers microwaved noodles with a powder cheese sauce is NOT okay!!!!! Edited to add: called restaurant 5 times, 4 of the 5 times no one answered. When I finally spoke to the manager, she confirmed that they were "trying out new Mac n cheese" and that it was indeed Kraft. Will not be frequenting here again. I normally order from the Manhattan pizza in Gaithersburg but because of my job I had to order from the one in Clarksburg. I am normally always satisfied with my order from the Gaithersburg location but since today I had ordered from the Clarksburg one I was very disappointed. Whenever order from Manhattan pizza I always order the chicken Alfredo pasta. When it arrived to me today there was running it look like it was soup. When I called to tell them about what happened they told me oh well that's how we make it we're not like the Gaithersburg one. They blew me off and said there was nothing they could do about it.
