Chicken Quesadilla, chicken, wings, fries
Susy P.

We had a great time on Saturday happy hour. We sat at the bar in the high top tables and ordered all these wonderful appetizers and drinks. I ordered the crab soup and it was very good with chunks of tomatoes and crab meat. The wings were deep-fried and sauces on the side they were nice size and flavorful The nachos, fries, and enchilada we're all good. My friends ordered different types of grapefruit drinks and enjoyed them. The corona was a happy hour special and it was nice and refreshing. Our waitress was wonderful. We had a great time and it was wonderful to look out and see the ocean. Highly recommend coming here.

We went here the other day for happy hour prior to the bandstand show. They had $6 mangoritas which were very tasty and strong. They had lots of food options on the happy hour menu as well for about $10 each. I had the fish tacos and fries and my fiancé had the chicken quesadilla. The fish tacos were pretty good, but the fish was a little cold when it came out. The beans they had on the side were inedible. The chicken quesadilla was okay but had too much cheese and not much chicken. Their fries were good. We would come back again for happy hour, but may only order drinks the next time.

Restaurant location is great - right on the Bethany Beach Boardwalk. Large seating area and a variety of drinks, appetizers and entrees. I had the Jerk Chicken Wings. The spice on the chicken was good and juicy. My friend had the tuna sandwich and sadly the tuna I. The sandwich was very dry and wasn't good. Hopefully others had a better food experience than I did. I am sure Mangos is a good place to eat.

Great location! Nice seating indoors overlooking the beach. The decor was fun and the place is family friendly. We had the spinach crab dip and it was good/above average. Then the house salad- (honestly idk how they can charge $12 for a bowl of sping greens w 2 cherry tomatoes) And the cheeseburger- average, (no special seasoning or flare) w room temp fries. Glad we stopped, but not worth remembering for a future visit.

This food is absolutely disgusting.. don't even waste your money or time.... -Crab pasta is full of nasty tomato's -Crab spinach dip tests like gross fish water and spinach -Steak tacos were RAW Chicken fingers and fries only if you have no choice but to eat at this disappointment of a restaurant

Parrot! Was a great drink too!

So much fun and delicious food! It has a great ocean view with tiered seating. The servers were so friendly and helpful. Need to get the drink with the parrot glass! The dishes with crab had TONS of crab! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Service was good.. Prices for food were good until we were charged $10 just for one shot of rum for the pina colada that cost only $9..... and the pasta from kids menu $8 for literally 9-10 penne pasta pieces with what seemed like little to no butter. Anywho. I did enjoy sitting outdoors.

Really enjoy coming to Mango's year after year. The food is consistently good and fresh! Tried the Lobster Tacos, and they were incredible. The chipotle marinade on them hit the spot. Our whole party loved their food! The seafood is very reasonably priced compared to other places. Also, great selection of beer and cocktails! Service was excellent this past visit. Even having little ones with us, we felt taken care the whole meal. Mango's is the best restaurant with a view on the boardwalk! Absolutely can not beat the views overlooking the boardwalk AND beach!

What a view! Bethany Beach.

We very much enjoyed our visit to Mango's. The balcony view is to die for! As is the food! My wife loved the Shell Bowl, a shellfish lover's dream! I had a pound of cold boiled shrimp. When it first came, it was smothered in Old Bay - a little much for me. Our server, Ryan, exchanged the plate for another with Old Bay on the side. We'll be back!

A little shocked by the harsh reviews here! I had a really nice time at Mango's on my boyfriend and I's first night in Bethany - enjoying the gorgeous ocean views, a margarita, and some eats. Sure the food won't necessarily blow you away, but it is exactly what I expected out of a boardwalk/family-friendly kind of beach spot. I enjoyed the almost nostalgic vibes of this place and appreciated that we were seated right away upon arrival on a Friday night. My margarita hit the spot and I went with a caesar salad and crab cake, both of which were more than serviceable. I also tried their shrimp, which comes cold or hot and unpeeled, a really nice option on a hot summer day. Overall I think this is something to make part of your Bethany experience! I loved looking out at the beach and we happened to be there around sunset time. Sit outside if the weather allows too!

Great place to get drinks right after the beach. Food used to be really good but it has gone down over the years. There's still some good things on the menu though. Would not recommend the chicken fingers, last time I had them, they had no seasoning at all. Fish tacos were good but the rice it came with was a little crunchy. Nachos only come with cheese and jalapeños so would not get them if you're expecting more toppings. Service is good.

FULL DISCLOSURE HERE: This rating is because it was exactly what I expected and I got exactly what I wanted: A view of the beach, a beach-y sweet beverage at a happy hour price along with some cool vibes and two awesome bartenders that kept us plied with fresh drinks and water while my husband and I just relaxed in the AC and enjoyed some tunes and horse racing on the TV. Is this gourmet food? No. Is it a craft cocktail bar? No. Is this fine dining? No. But it is right off the beach, has great views, delivers a pretty good margarita to be honest, some decent fish tacos and it is FUN!!!

Wish there was more octopus in the other starter but had good antipasto like flavors. I got the double cut pork chop as my main and enjoyed. It was cooked well and I liked the balsamic on the plate, however I do wish it had some sauce to pair with. The potatoes were great and a crowd pleaser. Drinks were solid. The pear martini was fresh and sweet. Shirley temple was standard but could've been fizzier in my opinion. We split 4 desserts amongst us: key lime pie, honey cake, flourless chocolate cake, and a peach crumb cake. The honey cake is unique and had a great moist yet spongy texture. The pie was a runner up, we liked the tartness and thick crust. We do wish our server paid more attention to us especially in the beginning. We weren't offered any bread and felt like the wait for food was very long. Other tables who arrived after us had already got their entrees and desserts while we were still waiting for mains. He also didn't check up on us like he did with the surrounding tables. The young bus boy however was great and kindly helped us in between.

Review for Heidaway - Bethany Beach, DE…read more It was the weekend after Memorial Day 2025--when the beach is still buzzing, but you can actually find parking and order a drink without elbowing someone in a straw hat. We rolled into Bethany Beach to kick off our summer, minus the chaos, and Heidaway was the first place that pulled us in with a wink and a steel drum beat. Right on the edge of the boardwalk, this place has big tropical energy. Think Key West meets Delaware--palm fronds, sea breeze, and the gentle background hum of fun. The outdoor seating is shaded but still breezy, like Mother Nature knows you want SPF without sweating through your shirt. And the music? Bright, beachy, and setting the scene for "yes, we are on vacation, thank you." Service? On point. From the friendly hostess to our magical waitress who somehow knew when we needed napkins, another round, or just a smile--everyone brought their A-game. No tourist trap vibes here. Just good, solid hospitality. Cocktails: We kicked off with a Moscow Mule, chilled in a classic copper mug and strong enough to make you forget your group chat's been blowing up since Tuesday. Spicy, refreshing, and just boozy enough to remind you you're off the clock. And the second drink? Let's call it the Mystery Mai Tai of Joy. We don't remember what was in it. We just know it was tropical, delicious, and made us say "we should move here" at least twice. The Food: Oysters Rockefeller - Baked to perfection, smothered in a creamy, herby sauce and topped with crispy breadcrumbs. The kind of dish that makes you lean back in your chair and toss your plate at a fireplace (if they had one) Lobster Roll & Fries - A buttery masterpiece. Generous chunks of lobster, golden toasted roll, and fries that nailed the crispy-soft ratio. They didn't hold back with the portions, and we didn't hold back either. Beet Salad - A beachy surprise hit. Sweet roasted beets, creamy goat cheese spread, and peppery arugula doing a power pose on the plate. It made us feel like we were balancing out the rest of the meal... even if dessert was already a foregone conclusion. If you're heading to Bethany and want to dodge the madness while still soaking up summer magic, Heidaway is a great spot. Come for the drinks, stay for the oysters, and let the ocean breeze convince you that everything is right in the world--even if only until Monday.

I wish my phone didn't die and I would have had more pictures. But I'll tell you that the food here is amazing and you can see they really put a lot of work and care into every single ingredient. My husband even noticed the micro cilantro in the carrot tahini hummus! The ingredients are all busting with flavors. As you can see from my more than ten past reviews over 4 years and my last review in August 2025…read morethis is now one of my top three happy hour restaurants during the off season. I will summarize my four most recent happy hour off season visits. We were first here at the bar with my six family and friends. Well finally the off season happy hour half price dinner entrees have finally returned here starting around mid October with pretty much the same entrees and menu as last year. They subsequently updated the half price entrees in early November. All items have pretty much returned here except for some new entrees. The good news is that at least two new half price happy hour dinner entrees were added including the surf and turf with espresso encrusted 4 ounce demi filet mignon with two skewered shrimps, yukon mash, tomato garnash with blue cheese in the middle of the tomato for $40 or half price for only $20. I never had espresso encrusted filet mignon, therefore I ordered and enjoyed mine medium rare. I could barely taste the encrusted espresso. I ended my dinner with my favorite Fiddlehead's draft honey porter for $6. My total bill was $111 with half price discount of $36.50 so my final bill was $77. On my second return I enjoyed my ahi tuna rice bowl with broccoli, ginger fried house rice, sprouts and ginger vinaigrette for $36 or half price for $18. My total bill was $72 excluding gratuity. On my third return I again enjoyed the espresso encrusted 4 ounce demi filet mignon, which I had ordered medium rare, but was over cooked to medium. I did not complain about returning my filet for a replacement, however I did show it to bartender Dennis. Next time I will order my filet rare. On my fourth return I enjoyed my usual cosmos and my ahi tuna rice bowl which was always properly cooked ahi style. Bartender Dennis always remembers I prefer a little extra spice, without me even asking for my Sriracha. Dennis recommended both of the above entrees. See my most recent pic of the new menu. Chef Cowan waved to me at the bar. Bartender Dennis served us very well supported by our usual excellent recommendations and conversations. Chandra and Cameron also said hello. The staff here are very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. On Black Friday I purchased another $1k in gift cards for the off season from Off The Hook and Hooked in OC. Needless to say we will continue to return here for happy hour to spend our $1k.
