Bottom Line: They need to revamp their menu. The food was tasteless/flavorless, expensive, unmemorable. We don't mind paying more for good quality/quantity food. This place just didn't perform at all. Pros: Great location overlooking the beach, the servers are professional and pleasant. Cons: Food was tasteless, expensive (for the quality), we'll only remember the restaurant because the food was very subpar. Summary: Crab Spinach Dip - It was meh, like something you'd get from the store. The chips with the dip tasted store bought. Paella - Didn't tastes like paella. There was a decent portion of seafood, but it lacked flavor. Please don't call it paella if you're not going to go through the effort of properly seasoning it with proper Spanish flavors/spices. Crab Pasta - Basically it was some lumps of crab, store bought thin linguini, garlic/oil, and cold broccoli on top. It was amateur hour. Seared tuna sandwich - Bread, lettuce, tomato, sauce, and tuna. Not really much flavor. read more

Sat at the bar and was served by Jena. She was wonderfully and was very attentive. The atmosphere was great and the food was amazing. I recommend highly. read more

Excellent food. Good people. Prompt service and great atmosphere. True beach restaurant.

Charming server, promptly seated, but utterly forgettable food for our group of 4. Black bean hummus app was bland, crab soup tasted canned and was gummy, steamed shrimp was tasteless. Halibut was equally unimpressive. The taco salad got a so-so thumbs-up and my son liked his pork chop. We'd have gone anywhere else for dinner but got a late start and everything else in Bethany closes early. It's a noisy echo chamber so therefore probably good for families with young children. read more

Place was very cute right off the water. Great place to sit and see the beach. Outside and inside seating. Cute inside and out. The food was pretty trashy lol. Everything was cold coming from kitchen. Went during happy hour and originally ordered at table. End up going to bar and they still wanted us to pay regular prices even tho we didn't get get the food (that tuned out cold). Gratefully the bartender gave us a decent drink and employees were nice and sent us to a much better restaurant. This was all for scenery but not for a foodie. read more

Here we are again at Bethany beach and giving a go to Mangos! We walk right in for lunch! Ocean view seating was awesome! Could be a bit cleaner since a lot workers were just walking around doing nothing! Food was good , on the pricey side but it's worth it with the view we had! Yes I would recommend this place! read more

Food- I got thr mahi tacos.. and I have zero complaints! The fish tasted fresh and I was able to sub out the side which is appreciated. We got a monster sized moscow mule and wow they definitely put a good amount of alcohol in it. Atmosphere- I like the atmosphere, and I really like where we were seated. I think there should be more outside seating though. I also think the bar should be closer to the windows as well.. it all feels very serperated. Service- Great service! He got all our orders right and checked back on us plenty. read more

Went there in the late evening. Great atmosphere and view of the beach. Live music on the boardwalk was a plus. Got the spinach/crab dip but it was watery and lacked taste. The drinks were less than OK. The waitress was kind and attentive. read more

Great atmosphere and great service. The food was average at best. Not sure if I'll back.

I've been here to watch 3 World Cup games during happy hour. The mangoritas are good the service is good. The happy hour food nachos, wings and fries are ok. Not great not bad. The atmosphere is a little dark but Nice. Clearly this becomes more of a bar nightclub scene, And a lunch spot of the beach. Needs some updating Happy hour 1-5 read more

We come to Mango's every year for our family vacation and have so much fun! Never have had any issues with service or quality of food. 10/10, you must try the "Mind Eraser" shot that is served in a plastic flamingo! Cheers read more

Really gorgeous unobstructed views of Bethany beach if you're able to sit outside on their smaller deck area. Food is average and typical of a touristy-type beach bar. The Mangorita (their signature margarita drink) is delicious! Service is excellent and the staff is very friendly. A good spot for lunch on the beach. read more

Felt overpriced for what we ordered. The service was ok. We went for an early dinner and it was not busy. Nice atmosphere. If we go back. It will be for the happy hour or bar. It's on the second floor so you can look over the boardwalk while eating if you get a good table. Lots of shopping near by if you have to wait for a table. They do have a couple sauces that are mango based. Ask for them to compliment your food. read more

Only leaving 2 stars because the bar/bartenders are great. We loved our drinks! However, the food was lacking BIG time. Got the coconut shrimp appetizer. The shrimp were TINY and the sauce did not match. My husband ordered the swordfish entree and I ordered the salmon. We were very disappointed. If you want microwaved seafood go to Mangos... Nonetheless, our server was great and very friendly. read more

We love the food and the view! We always bring people from out of town here. Great location on Bethany Boardwalk and fantastic ocean views. Mangoritas are delicious! Just wish they were open year round read more

Overpriced, food not seasoned, lacking queso when serving chips and tacos, slow service. Drinks are so-so. Will probably not come back

Save yourself some $ and buy frozen at the local grocery store. About all you're going to get here. Calimari frozen. Swordfish frozen, can buy better at local grocery or club store. Aside from the location/view, there is no reason to eat here. Server disappeared as soon as took order and came back with check. Want a refill? Wait for your ice to melt. On a non busy Wednesday evening. read more

Mixed feelings! Great location and friendly servers, but food so so! The mangorita was blah, the taco salad blah especially the added chicken-- nothing fresh about it and tasteless! The mango dressing helped somewhat. The crab cake was VERY small and they did not provide any sauce until asked -- it said it came with it, but it took requesting to get something. It was tasty though and helped make the tiny cake okay. Wanted this place to be better! read more

Our table had food pieces on it, we waited 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order, and one person at our table received the wrong food. When asked for the correct food, they took an additional 30 minutes at which time everyone was either done eating or had cold food. read more

Listing the positives first. Hostesses were nice. We were seated right away. The view of the beach was awesome. They had fun cups and things for the kids. The waiter was also friendly and the food came out fast. I really wanted to love it but I'm sorry to say the food is absolutely horrible. It wasn't even anything I could complain to the server about. It was all hot and fresh but everything tasted awful. My 2 year old picked out the nasty cubes of chicken from her quesadilla and said "mom I don't think this is chicken" read more

The service was quick and great! I would definitely recommend coming here at least once if you're staying in the area as there aren't many sit down restaurants similar to mangos in the area. The interior design of the restaurant is also great and super unique, it really brings the whole beach experience to life. Other than that, the food is honestly hit or miss, I didn't really enjoy my tacos they were kinda mediocre but the experience was still overall good! read more

I love how close this restaurant is to the ocean, it's a great view. The food was great and we had no complaints. Our waitress was good but not around a lot, so we didn't get any refills of drinks. Would not recommend. When going to restaurant your entre shouldn't come to with the appetizer. Penne? Wasn't good at all very dry, didn't mix. Lobster Tacos? Only good for bate at the pier. Want a drink? Make sure you don't get the creamsicle. On a side note, my uncle lost 15 pounds in 12 hours. Wanna loose weight. Look no further then Mangos. Good waitress, and good location. read more

Decent place with great views over the ocean / boardwalk. You need to climb some stairs to head up there. Once inside there are 3 main areas, restaurant, sports bar type section with enormous TVs and an outside area upper deck area. Food was fairly tasty, although after being asked how we wanted the tuna sandwich, he recommended rare etc it still came out dull grey and seemed like it had been frozen. The staff were friendly but busy. If you sit outside mostly it's in the sun, but the view was well worth it. read more

Very disappointed w the quality of food. Ordered quesidia appetizer, was all cheese, hardly any chicken, peppers were pockled not fresh. Was very wet and almost inedible. Server Alison was very nice. Spoke to manager, he was very oh well about the matter. Not caring at all. Do not recommend. Will not return. Ordered the tuna sandwich and tuna was so small, half the sandwich was all roll. read more

The food was terrible and there was flies all over! My husband had the halibut and it was so dry. The service and the drinks were the only good things. read more

Big disappointment We enjoy all things Caribbean so we tried out Mangoes. Great ambiance, location, service, but the food was a giant disappointment. Salmon was over-cooked, and the fish taco was a fish stick on mango slaw. I wonder if there is a box from Gordon's in the kitchen. Black beans in saffron rice were absolutely flavorless and likely spooned directly out of a can onto the rice. The tomato and crab soup was surprisingly tasty and had a very generous scoop of finely shredded crab meat on top of a chunky tomato base. The crab meat was a bit cold in the middle and needed warming before adding it to the soup base. Service was excellent and there is potential there for a great dining experience but the food prep needs to improve if they want loyal customers. read more

I'll start with the positive. Great view. We made a reservation to overlook the beach, and we were given a seat with an amazing view. But that's it. Food: I ordered the coconut shrimp platter. Came with 'Vegetables' and rice. The first bite of shrimp- and right away saw the old shrimp turd. You know- when they haven't been cleaned properly? The coconut breading was bland and the poopy shrimp was rubbery. I spit that piece out and cut into one. Jackpot! No poop. But still bland, greasy and rubbery. The vegetables were nasty frozen medley and the rice was old and crust. $26 for this abomination. My husband and kids were all under impressed as well. Save yourself the trip and head over to Harpoon Hannas. Better drinks, better service and cool views. read more

This place reminded me of a Bahama Breeze. We ate here tonight before 6PM. It was crowded but we were seated promptly without a reservation. Our server was very nice and helpful. The Rosemary herbed bread with butter was delicious. I ordered the veggie penne pasta, but it tasted a little sour, not very fresh. Blah! It's a touristy place, but family friendly and has great views of the ocean. I probably wouldn't return, but it made for a decent dinner. read more

I don't normally write reviews but I felt compelled in this case. Mango's is an institution and we'll continue visiting when we come to the area. The food is meh but the views are great and it's an "event" for the kids whenever we go. All that said, the precautions being taken in response to COVID-19 are lacking, especially compared to other restaurants in the area. When we visited on a Tuesday night, they had nearly every table inside occupied and there was nowhere near 6' of separation between patrons. I was easily within arm's reach of the woman sitting at the table beside us. We should have left but we were tired and didn't feel like fighting with the kids, so anything that happens is ultimately on us. Just be aware that if you're concerned with maintaining recommended precautions while eating, Mango's is playing things a little lose. read more

Mango's is right on the boardwalk so it's got a great view! Even better, you can come in right off the beach. My friends and I had an early reservation on a Friday night so we came in our bathing suits and coverups. The restaurant/bar can go either way - we saw people from the beach and others more properly dressed up. We were celebrating a bachelorette, so we made a reservation for 8. Our server was tremendous! She brought everyone water, checked in on us often, offered to split checks at the beginning, and didn't rush us out. The service was so so quick. We were starving so this was appreciated. Drinks: We had to try the flamingo! The drink is a minderaser shooter-type drink served in a hollow flamingo. The drink is then drank from the mouth - these seem to be intended for one person, but we elected to share. Bad news- you can't take the flamingo. Other fun drinks did come with souvenir glasses - like the the Bamboo (Pina Colada) and a fruity drink served in a Parrot. Others at the table enjoyed the mango margarita, the raspberry fizz, and a regular margarita. If you like mango - go with that over the regular! Dinner: The menu has several options so it's sure to please just about everyone. I went with the Chicken Broccoli Pasta. I enjoyed the dish and thought t was a large portion, but given it was marked as a restaurant special - i was expecting a little bit more flavor and oomph. It was just pasta, a very light sauce, grilled chicken, broccoli, and cheese on topped. Others enjoyed the shell bowl - a seafood pasta dish that was heavy on the seafood but seemed lighter on the pasta, the fish tacos, and the diver scallops. I'd recommend this place as a casual night dinner, especially if coming off the beach, and the drinks. It's a fun environment and the staff was great! read more

Excellent views and good food! Ate here with a large party, and Mango's was very accommodating of our group size. The ocean views were phenomenal. I ordered the fish tacos, which were delicious. The drinks were great too. I'd recommend! read more

I was excited to try this place after contemplating it for several years, however, we were quickly disappointed. The interior looked nice, but we asked to be seated outside on the deck to overlook the ocean. The view is pretty, but the furniture could use a serious upgrade. It looks as if the plastic chairs and tables haven't been replaced since the 90s. Our waitress was friendly. We stopped by for a snack and drinks so we ordered a frozen margarita, a piña colada, and a plate of nachos. Both of our drinks were subpar - more mixer than alcohol (which is to be expected at these tourist trap restaurants, but this was an extraordinarily weak drink.) The nachos were cold and resembled microwave nachos that a pre-teen could make at home. We weren't impressed and I don't think we'll be returning. read more

The only problem with this review is that I can't give a negative 5 stars.... Stay clear of Mango's Rotting food Rancid dressing Drinks we couldn't drink And Nachos where just Nachos nothing on them. Went for drinks with friends while on vacation. The waitress thought that all of our ID's were fake, even though everyone was at least 23. My friend even had his military ID and she still wouldn't take it. Manager was very rude. When your main clientele is tourists and out of staters, it would be good to train you staff on whats clearly a fake ID and what isn't. Will not be back here anytime soon, and won't be recommending this place to anyone looking for a fun vacation spot in the future. read more
