Food- I got thr mahi tacos.. and I have zero complaints! The fish tasted fresh and I was able to sub out the side which is appreciated. We got a monster sized moscow mule and wow they definitely put a good amount of alcohol in it. Atmosphere- I like the atmosphere, and I really like where we were seated. I think there should be more outside seating though. I also think the bar should be closer to the windows as well.. it all feels very serperated. Service- Great service! I've been here to watch 3 World Cup games during happy hour. The mangoritas are good the service is good. The happy hour food nachos, wings and fries are ok. Not great not bad. Mixed feelings! Great location and friendly servers, but food so so! The mangorita was blah, the taco salad blah especially the added chicken-- nothing fresh about it and tasteless! The mango dressing helped somewhat. The crab cake was VERY small and they did not provide any sauce until asked -- it said it came with it, but it took requesting to get something. Listing the positives first. Hostesses were nice. We were seated right away. The view of the beach was awesome. They had fun cups and things for the kids. The waiter was also friendly and the food came out fast. I really wanted to love it but I'm sorry to say the food is absolutely horrible. It wasn't even anything I could complain to the server about. The service was quick and great! I would definitely recommend coming here at least once if you're staying in the area as there aren't many sit down restaurants similar to mangos in the area. The interior design of the restaurant is also great and super unique, it really brings the whole beach experience to life. I love how close this restaurant is to the ocean, it's a great view. The food was great and we had no complaints. Our waitress was good but not around a lot, so we didn't get any refills of drinks. Once inside there are 3 main areas, restaurant, sports bar type section with enormous TVs and an outside area upper deck area. Big disappointment We enjoy all things Caribbean so we tried out Mangoes. Great ambiance, location, service, but the food was a giant disappointment. Salmon was over-cooked, and the fish taco was a fish stick on mango slaw. I wonder if there is a box from Gordon's in the kitchen. Black beans in saffron rice were absolutely flavorless and likely spooned directly out of a can onto the rice. The tomato and crab soup was surprisingly tasty and had a very generous scoop of finely shredded crab meat on top of a chunky tomato base. The crab meat was a bit cold in the middle and needed warming before adding it to the soup base. Service was excellent and there is potential there for a great dining experience but the food prep needs to improve if they want loyal customers. read more

I'll start with the positive. Great view. We made a reservation to overlook the beach, and we were given a seat with an amazing view. But that's it. Food: I ordered the coconut shrimp platter. Came with 'Vegetables' and rice. The first bite of shrimp- and right away saw the old shrimp turd. You know- when they haven't been cleaned properly? The coconut breading was bland and the poopy shrimp was rubbery. I spit that piece out and cut into one. Jackpot! No poop. But still bland, greasy and rubbery. The vegetables were nasty frozen medley and the rice was old and crust. $26 for this abomination. My husband and kids were all under impressed as well. I don't normally write reviews but I felt compelled in this case. Mango's is an institution and we'll continue visiting when we come to the area. The food is meh but the views are great and it's an "event" for the kids whenever we go. All that said, the precautions being taken in response to COVID-19 are lacking, especially compared to other restaurants in the area. When we visited on a Tuesday night, they had nearly every table inside occupied and there was nowhere near 6' of separation between patrons. I was easily within arm's reach of the woman sitting at the table beside us. We should have left but we were tired and didn't feel like fighting with the kids, so anything that happens is ultimately on us. Just be aware that if you're concerned with maintaining recommended precautions while eating, Mango's is playing things a little lose. read more

This place reminded me of a Bahama Breeze. We ate here tonight before 6PM. It was crowded but we were seated promptly without a reservation. Our server was very nice and helpful. Mango's is right on the boardwalk so it's got a great view! Even better, you can come in right off the beach. My friends and I had an early reservation on a Friday night so we came in our bathing suits and coverups. The restaurant/bar can go either way - we saw people from the beach and others more properly dressed up. We were celebrating a bachelorette, so we made a reservation for 8. Our server was tremendous! She brought everyone water, checked in on us often, offered to split checks at the beginning, and didn't rush us out. The service was so so quick. We were starving so this was appreciated. Drinks: We had to try the flamingo! The drink is a minderaser shooter-type drink served in a hollow flamingo. The drink is then drank from the mouth - these seem to be intended for one person, but we elected to share. Bad news- you can't take the flamingo. Other fun drinks did come with souvenir glasses - like the the Bamboo (Pina Colada) and a fruity drink served in a Parrot. Others at the table enjoyed the mango margarita, the raspberry fizz, and a regular margarita. If you like mango - go with that over the regular! Dinner: The menu has several options so it's sure to please just about everyone. I went with the Chicken Broccoli Pasta. I enjoyed the dish and thought t was a large portion, but given it was marked as a restaurant special - i was expecting a little bit more flavor and oomph. It was just pasta, a very light sauce, grilled chicken, broccoli, and cheese on topped. Others enjoyed the shell bowl - a seafood pasta dish that was heavy on the seafood but seemed lighter on the pasta, the fish tacos, and the diver scallops. I was excited to try this place after contemplating it for several years, however, we were quickly disappointed. The interior looked nice, but we asked to be seated outside on the deck to overlook the ocean. The view is pretty, but the furniture could use a serious upgrade. It looks as if the plastic chairs and tables haven't been replaced since the 90s. Our waitress was friendly. We stopped by for a snack and drinks so we ordered a frozen margarita, a piña colada, and a plate of nachos. Both of our drinks were subpar - more mixer than alcohol (which is to be expected at these tourist trap restaurants, but this was an extraordinarily weak drink.) The nachos were cold and resembled microwave nachos that a pre-teen could make at home. We weren't impressed and I don't think we'll be returning. read more

Went for drinks with friends while on vacation. The waitress thought that all of our ID's were fake, even though everyone was at least 23. My friend even had his military ID and she still wouldn't take it. Manager was very rude. When your main clientele is tourists and out of staters, it would be good to train you staff on whats clearly a fake ID and what isn't. It was also mostly mix. My husband is not one to complain at a restaurant since he was in the industry for a while, but he actually had to send it back.
