I enjoyed my meal at this Cantonese spot in Dublin…read more I stopped by for dinner with a friend on a Tuesday evening around 5 pm and it wasn't too crowded. My friend got the hot HK milk tea ($4.95). I tried a sip and it was delicious with the perfect blend of tea, condensed milk, and sugar. The menu selection is decent, with plenty of options for noodles and rice and a smaller selection of meat dishes. They also serve congee and chang fun / rice noodle rolls as well as Cantonese bbq meats. We shared two dishes: #12 salt and pepper tofu ($8.95) #47 braised egg tofu beef cube ($25.95) Both the tofu and beef were delicious. The tofu was fried perfectly and had the right amount of seasoning. The beef cubes were super tender and I appreciated all the veggies that it came with, in addition to the egg tofu. I paired both with a bowl for rice for an extra $2.50. Portions were large for both items and we ended up taking some leftovers home. They heated up well the next day for lunch!

I don't understand why customers should be responsible for covering the restaurant's internal expenses on top of already expensive menu prices. The explanation for this service fee is only in English displayed at the bottom of their menu, even though most customers are Chinese. Many people would never know what they're being charged for. It feels inconsiderate and misleading. Overall, the experience was disappointing and not worth the money.

It's more of a 3.5 round up to a 4…read more I honestly can't remember the last time I've had food from a Hong Kong cafe until my friend and I were in the area last week and this place popped up on my Yelp search for food. Located in a plaza, parking is abundant and free. The restaurant is pretty spacious and we were seated promptly on arrival. I appreciate the vast selection of options from each category and opted for their XO rice rolls and porridge. The XO rice rolls tasted great and nostalgic, but the porridge was way too thick. Overall, service was efficient and some of the staff were friendly. Bathrooms were cleaned.

The servers kept the service flowing well, despite how hectic lunch time rush is. Our server was welcoming, friendly, & attentive. My friend and I were able to get a round table in the center of the restaurant, within a few minutes. Comfortable atmosphere, a bit loud, but manageable to hold conversations. We ordered the Chinese donut, veggies (which is like pea sprouts with garlic "damu*"), salt & pepper tofu, and baked seafood with the cream sauce & rice. And of course, had to order Hong Kong style milk tea & coffee mix drink "yuen yeung". Everything was delicious! Whoever's cooking in the kitchen did a commendable job today. You can tell they can cook authentic HK food. If you visit here, don't forget to try out their chili crisp hot sauce. It's so good! Perfectly spicy. Had to take a bit home with my leftover food. The dishes are big portions. So, I usually have enough leftovers to take home and save for later to enjoy.

My husband ordered DoorDash, and I asked for the Chongqing spicy fried chicken. He got the pan-fried dumplings for himself and our daughter. Then the food arrived. The moment I smelled that aroma from the red chili peppers, my appetite magically returned . The Chongqing chicken was tasty and had the spicy, fragrant kick I was craving. My only suggestion, if the restaurant team actually reads Yelp reviews, would be to make the chicken pieces a little bigger. I found myself wishing there was more meat with each bite. My husband and daughter both enjoyed the pan-fried dumplings. I did notice that the bottoms of a couple of the dumplings were quite dark brown--borderline burnt--so those could have used a little less time on the pan. Overall, a solid DoorDash dinner that managed to revive my appetite after a very long travel day. And honestly, any dish that can accomplish that deserves some credit.

The menu itself isn't extensive, but mostly just noodle focused based, with some of the variations of what the base and meats are, and of course the cold dishes that typically comes with a beef noodle eating experience. Price wise, it's not cheap, but for beef noodle places there's not too many of those places around, and if they are around they're usually not that great. The place isn't huge, but there are a fair number of tables in there all closeish together. Again, not a large place, so mostly smaller tables, but can certainly be pieced together for larger parties. Service here was good, no issues. Let's talk food! The cold dishes were good. Nothing out of the ordinary, but one thing that is good even though the cost of them are a bit high is that the quantity they give you is at least a decent amount. If you like the cold dishes, you will get plenty with each order. Now to the noodles. We got a chow mein style noodles and then of course the beef noodle soup. The chow mein noodles were not bad, but wasn't out of the ordinary. It was tasty and I would be happy to eat it again. The beef noodle soup was definitely tasty. The noodles here, in both the chow mein and in the noodle soup were nice quality and texture, just the right QQness to them. The beef in the beef noodle soup is where most restaurants tend to struggle with, particularly the chain dumpling places that offers beef noodle soup and when it arrives, they're just the beef slices from the appetizer dish. Not here, these were actual chunks of beef that have been cooked for awhile and actually stewed. They were good and plentiful in this soup. All-in-all, CA Noodles is a good option for some good beef noodles if you're ever in the mood. The place isn't big, so they may get filled pretty quickly depending on the time of day, and the actual day. Worth the visit.

Slowly finding a few favorites on the menu but like other restaurants, not everything I've ordered has been to my taste. K15. Knife Cut Noodle with Minced Meat a little too soft & bland. Wish the egg was less hard boiled. Yolk was chalky. Tried this years ago, soon after they opened so it may have improved since then. May give it another try in the future. K10. Chiu Chow Marinated Duck over Rice Plate was meaty. The rice plate was the perfect portion for 1 person or 2 people with light appetites. My dining companion didn't like it much as she prefers Peking duck. I thought it was OK. K12. Braised Beef Brisket and Tendon over Rice wasn't my fave. Brisket a bit too tough and dry. Also, didn't care for the flavor being more sweet than savory. K35. Salt & Pepper Capelin (smelt) was perfectly fried and salted fish. My absolute favorite item on the menu. Always order whenever I dine-in. The squeeze of lemon is essential. Took it over the top. Ate them like fries. Must try! Half Roast Duck was super yummy but really salty. Do not eat on its own. Must eat with rice or their noodle soup to dilute salt. Always seemed to dine here in the height of the summer heat so didn't really touch the complimentary cup of soup. Will probably appreciate it more when the temps aren't consistently hovering over 100 degrees. Will definitely want to explore more of the menu to hopefully find additional favorites.

The only negative was the small portion size of the honey walnut shrimp. Our party was seated in the back of the upstairs room, so it was a little quieter than the main dining room downstairs. Lots of dim sum choices. We were able to find parking on a busy Sunday with just a little effort in the shopping center parking lot.

Susie lives in the Bay Area and chose this restaurant. I was skeptical about keeping the cost low as we were having dim sum. I was afraid it would be outrageously expensive and not filling enough. She proved me wrong. Excluding the tea and other drinks it came to $30 per person and that included tax and tip. This was cheaper then the last banquet we had and I actually enjoyed most of the dishes here. The only dish I didn't have was the scallop and shrimp dumplings as the order came out with only 3 and there was 11 us at the table. I'm not sure how that was supposed to feed the table. We arrived at 11:10am and to ensure we weren't late. The parking lot was packed when we arrived. Saying that we only had to go up and down two isles to find a parking space. I have to add that the parking spaces were tight. We had the Honda Pilot and it barely fit in a space and that isn't the biggest car out there. We were told that our table was on the 2nd floor and to go to the side door. We walked around the side and found a door. There was not signage indicating it was part of the restaurant. The right side was locked, but the left side was unlocked. When we entered we were warmed with a sigh that said the floor was wet and to beware of slipping. They had a staircase to the left and a elevator to the right. That was a blessing, I know some of our party wouldn't have made it to the banquet with out the elevator. When we exited the elevator we were met by a staff member with their cart waiting to do downstairs. So the elevator serves guests and staff alike. When we got out of the elevator the staff member pointed us down the hall. We stopped at the bathroom on the way down the hall. Once we found the restaurant we were pointed to the back where we joined our party. We had 3 tables in the back which was nice. It beats being out in the open and disturbing everyone as we stood around chit chatted prior to being served. I felt bad for the table of 2 that were posted right next to the wall near our party. They just had a bad table. All the other tables upstairs were farther away and didn't feel like they were in our space. I have to add that the service was great. They kept coming to refill the waters and tea pot with tea, not just hot water. And we never felt rushed. We had a nice table on the edge of our tables agains the wall that we were able to hang our family tree. We are all 1st, 2nd and 3rd cousins and some of us have never met the others before so we really needed a family tree that color coded what generation you were. My favorite dish was the steamed sticky rice in Lotus root, next was the BBQ Pork Buns, third was the shrimp and pork dumplings. Though I don't recall seeing any shrimp in those dumplings.Thought they were big and meaty. My least favorite was the green onion pancake. It just wasn't fluffy and flakey. It was too dense and lacked flavor. And a little greasy. We had 12 dishes and were filled with some chow fun left over. The chow fun wasn't that great. It was filled with beef which was good, but it lacked sauce and the noodles weren't all that.

I would definitely recommend skipping the popcorn chicken, Yangzhou fried rice and steamed bun skewer; they were both super dry and bland. The service and speed of the food coming out are pretty quick, but no one came to refill our waters.
